Google
Very nice people that work there. Coffee is excellent and the food is really good. Definitely recommend this place.

Google
Loved their coffee!!!! The cashier was super nice. It was my first time going there. I told her what I was looking for, and she gave me her recommendation, and it was spot on.

Google
this coffee shop is one more reason to shop local!! It was absolutely precious with the decor and the tomato basil brioche I got was DELICIOUS! Definitely made my morning so much nicer after stopping by here. Made someone stopping by feel at home❤️

Google
Cold brew was excellent and the creative latte and cold brew options were impressive. I would be a regular if I lived near by.

Google
Fantastic base in NOLA. Coffee was by far the best cafe in the city. I was a professional barista for 10 years and a cafe owner for 5. Not only was the coffee consistently wayyyy above par, the staff were friendly and welcoming and helpful to my wife and I. A real gem.

Google
I keep coming back, lucky that I happen to live in the neighborhood! But seriously I would drive across town for their Joe, which they brew a proper cup of, I don't even bother with ordering fancy espresso drinks cause the drip is so pure, batter than half the Americanos I've had elsewhere. They have a wonderful eclectic & cozy interior which someday soon I will enjoy, but meantime they've got lots of patio tables and chairs to sit outside and people watch under a robust awning. They sell quite a nice variety of local roaster coffee beans by the pound. Open early, close late which is also a plus

Google
Great service. A very cool almost hidden spot that needs to be found. My latte was perfect. The bacon and egg croissant was a pleasant surprise and very good. The shop itself is clean comfortable laid out well with great art and a great sound track in the background. It very close to being 5 star but I will wait for a few more visits to see if it’s consistent. But after today I am sure it will be.

Google
hands down, the BEST coffee in the city!! my everyday pick me up, and the staff are always so friendly!

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer for over 6 months- became familiar with the baristas & other regulars. Sadly, I never redeemed the reward card for any of my visits. It's a paper card that gives your 10th drink free. A few days ago, I asked one barista if i could get credit for the drinks I've purchased on my recent bank statement- they okayed- i counted 13 transactions up to date & they said they would only give me 10 stars- logically , I asked why only 10 and not the 13 you see? They said bc it would be no way to confirm the validity of whether or not I've redeemed the free drink prior. i asked well who should i talk to , to get the credit - the manager ? They said the manager wasn't there & gave me the reward card for the 13 drinks - said they had to stick to their guns & I rest assured that I wouldn't have spent the energy asking for redemption for my purchases, if I was going to be stealing free drinks. I redeemed my free drink the next day & went to the coffee shop today- with my paper rewards card. The assistant manager was at the register . They didn't greet me - but instead let me know that they heard about the incident from the other day. And wanted to tell me again- what the previous barista had said . i let them know that I didn't necessarily ask about that & didn't want to talk about 8 dollar coffee context again. It was now disrespectful to feel accusatory energy around a coffee - that I've been purchasing. They went on to passive aggressively - not hand me my toasted bagel that went with my order. That was enough to lose me as a customer forever . It is a systemic issue if you have to be on guard about ppl abusing the rewards you give - there is a literal digital service that requires loyalty members to enter their phone number that would mitigate the "coffee policing" and belittling I experienced.

Yelp
I made it a point to try as many coffee shops as possible in NOLA and this was one of my favorites. Ordered the mocha latte and it was very smooth and not too sweet! Inside was cozy and well kept with good music and some plants. Noise level was moderate so good for small groups or working on the computer. They have free wifi. They have outdoor seating as well, lovely place.

Yelp
Such a lovely coffee shop! It was spacious and airy. Lots of seating including tables, bar seating, and more seating in a backroom. I could easily imagine myself working in this space on the regular. I specifically sought this place out as it was within walking distance to my AirBnB. I ordered a iced oat milk latte (my default) and a blueberry muffin. Both of which were excellent. It was mid morning on a Sunday when I arrived so it was a bit quiet, which did not bother me. The baristas were very friendly, efficient, welcoming, and helped me out a bit with some New Orleans directions. It seemed like a good place to rest a bit, people watch, or get some work finished.

Yelp
Real good bro... hehehe The thing said it has to be 85 characters. But like really good people. Good place to be to meet locals

Yelp
OMG. This was a great find!! Fresh craft coffee (not sure if this is a thing but I am going o make it one; teas with houseade syrup and several sandwich options. This checked all the he boxes on our way to Jazz fest. Off Bayou Street, it's a great neighborhood coffee shop that you should check out
google avatar

Mary Ann O.

Yelp
This is definitely a community coffee shop. Last week they hosted an art exhibit featuring artists from Bricolage elementary school. They also welcome other community groups to use the space. The baristas are pleasant and coffee is always delicious

Yelp
Wow, great find. Had just rolled into town and in need of coffee and something to eat. I know there are lots of places I can go in NOLA for a good latte but if you're a little hungry too this is a good place for a super quick unfussy bite. Grab & go refrigerator has an adequate number of healthy options to please most palates. Our super friendly barista warmed up our veggie breakfast burrito and it tasted as fresh as if it had just been made. And, have I mentioned how good our coffees were? Great space with different areas: counter seating, tables, cozy couches. Small used book sales as well. And have I mentioned how cool and friendly the baristas are? Went twice and all baristas were equally great.

Yelp
My partner and I ordered their oatmilk lattes and we really enjoyed it. The espresso was very smooth but a little light. No bitterness at all which we appreciated. Inside, there is plenty of room for sitting and there's cute decor all around. Service was also wonderful. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out and would visit again myself.

Yelp
My opinion is that Old Road has dropped off in quality so much I can't recommend it anymore. I have been a customer for years. I used to go frequently, sometimes twice in a day, but I think today was the last visit. So, I put in my order: large oat milk latte with lavender syrup. What I got seemed to be correct, just without any lavender. No problem. I just remind the one employee behind the counter that they forgot the syrup and... I get a single, tiny pump. They didn't even stir it in. I decided that I should just sweeten instead of trying to ask that same person to fix it. When I tasted my coffee, it was kind of awful. The brew was weak, but also burnt tasting, as if the filter were dirty. The milk also tasted off, possibly gone bad from being left at room temp. I ended up pouring the whole thing out. It stings a little extra because in addition to being very mediocre, Old Road also raised their prices, so now it's an over-priced, mediocre coffee shop. The only reason I give it a two star is because it's still clean and organized.

Yelp
Friendly staff and owner, yummy oat milk chai lattes, and the best burritos by Survivor's Catering. The grilled chicken, egg, and cheese is my new favorite! They toast them nice and crispy. Golden brown. Old Road Coffee is spacious and has ample seating with lots of wall outlets. The music is not too loud, so I get lots of work done. They even have dog treats and water out for the doggies. Wish they stayed open longer!

Yelp
Friendly baristas, good coffee, relaxing atmosphere, wifi was a little laggy if I had a complaint.

Yelp
Day 2 of NOLA Coffee Crawl: Off the beaten path...thankfully the sign on Esplanade directed me to caffeine goodness. Basic latte flavors- would like an expanded menu. Colorful staff that cater to specific preferences (both latte and sexual). Great ambiance and secluded location that will be my go-to once the pandemic is overish.

Yelp
This is a really cute neighborhood coffee shop! I usually get a bacon breakfast burrito with a drip coffee. The employees are always friendly and warm when taking orders, and it's actually quite spacious inside. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's not too crowded. It's one of my favorite places to meet up with friends for a morning coffee.

Beatrice G.

Yelp
Really cool coffee shop, friendly and welcoming staff. Love that place and want them to be successful but keep it for cool and nice people only.... Thank you

Yelp
ORC is one more example of how NOLA is transforming into "Seattle of the South", when it comes to great neighborhood coffee shops. I don't frequent this stretch of Esplanade, so while passing through on our way to Floats in the Oaks, and in need of a coffee, I was pleased to see the sign on Esplanade directing me a half block downriver on N Johnson Street. Lovely shop, with a very friendly shopkeeper/barista. Great space. Great vibe. Plenty of room to socially distance. Masks required, of course. Hand sanitizer available. Decided on a hot mocha latte on this chilly afternoon. Great drink, with the proper amount of Ghirardelli chocolate to keep it from being too sweet. I'll be back!

Yelp
I stopped by here due to the artists they were hosting outside of the shop along the sidewalk. It was a drizzly, wintry day, but everyone was posted up under the eaves, and the local artists were amazing. I wasn't in the mood for coffee (as I'm not a big coffee drinker), but I wanted to support the shop as it allowed these locals to sell their wares, and I respect that. I can't remember entirely what I got. It was warm and chocolatey so it was probably just a mocha, but I do recall that it gave me the little boost that I needed and was the right amount of chocolate (not too chalky or anything). It looks like a great place to sit and read or work on things. Even with the pandemic and everything spaced out, it's a quaint place to enjoy a nice beverage and a good book! I will definitely head back here, especially when the host more local artists. Who can resist some great crafts?

Yelp
Fabulous gem :) I go twice a day for the best espresso in the city. Also has wonderful herbal teas and matcha! Oh and they have the best medium roasts around. As a barista myself I do appreciate the service here and the high quality drinks. Cheers!

Ashton L.

Yelp
Cute place. Nice and quiet so you are able to get work done if you'd like. I got the iced chai and blueberry muffin, both were delicious.

Camly T.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. The barista was very friendly and helpful. I got a matcha latte and yummy breakfast burrito. They are able to heat up the food for you which is a plus. I loved the space. There are tons of places to sit and do work. They also have tables outside to enjoy your coffee. I can't wait to come here again.

Yelp
super helpful! these folks are really nice and were pretty open to us asking to reserve part of the interior room for a group meeting we were having. otherwise it's a convenient spot and stays open a little later than other options in the area as well. in addition to the drinks, i'm a fan of the giant breakfast burritos they have (I think it's by a different vendor/supplier), but it does the trick if you're looking for something a bit more substantial.

Yelp
What's not to love about this Tremé neighborhood coffeeshop?! Plethora of seating choices, excellent brews, and yummy treats (including hard to find vegan options). Although we're only staying for a week and want to try a mix of shops, we'll certainly be back for round two.
google avatar

Tomas R.

Yelp
Needed to get some work done and was in the neighborhood so I swung by. This is a true neighborhood coffee shop which was pretty cool. Came in for a cold brew and they feature different roasters based on the purpose of the coffee use. There's plenty of space inside with ample seating space which was great. Spent an hour at their workstation bar which I thoroughly enjoyed. For those who are hungry they also offer baked goods and savory bites.

Yelp
Old Road is so much more than a coffee shop. It's a community meeting point. A hang out. A place my dog is welcome inside and outside. It's a neighborhood joint in the very best sense. I love their coffee, their baristas, their events, their coziness, and the tomato basil pastry warmed up is a great breakfast treat.
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere and cool location. Had a delicious chai latte on a cozy rainy afternoon with a friend. Loved all the plants growing inside and friendly staff.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing, tucked away on Bayou Road. The art is inspiring, there's plenty of space to work and/or chill and tons of outlets. The tables are of various sizes to accommodate many different purposes of being there. The barista is nice and let me play the piano, which is a unique feature of the place. They have handmade pastries to buy both sweet and savory and a good selection of coffees, teas and milks. The atmosphere is relaxing and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Excited to try a dog friendly coffee shop while in town. Very cute shop. However, the staff was not friendly. Walked in at 8:30 am today and the girl that took our order was rude. Tried to be super nice but it didn't seem to lighten her mood. Never gave me the pastry I ordered. I had to ask for it. Did not say anything just threw it on the counter. Acted like it was an inconvenience. I would not take my kids to this coffee shop. The music playing was extremely vulgar and full of the F bomb, and P*ssy.
google avatar

Yelp
This place might just be my new favorite spot in town for doing work. The ambiance was perfect for studying: quiet and relaxed on a Sunday afternoon. They're also open from 6-6 everyday of the week! The interior is designed so well: Wonderful back room with a large wooden table for when you come with a group, comfortable velvet chairs and sofas, and an old antique piano that adds such a sophisticated touch. They offer a variety of coffees and teas, both hot and cold. I tried the strawberry kiwi tea which was pretty good. My friend got the matcha latte and was pretty impressed. Old road offers different milk choices of almond and oat. They also keep it green with lovely indoor plants and paper straws. For covid, they do have a mask policy for indoors, and you must keep it on at all times besides eating/drinking. There were only a couple other people in the cafe while I was there, and I felt there was ample space between us.

Yelp
Neighborhood SPOT with WiFi and AC ツ Clean & peaceful vibes with ample seating. Chai latte is prob better served hot but plenty of cold iced options on the menu. Chill music and relaxed atmosphere.

Steve S.

Yelp
Perfect coffee shop. Plenty of places to sit. Couches, chairs, tables and nice area.
google avatar

Will H.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop. The baristas were great and have a warm presence. The coffee was excellent. I'm also a fan of the location.

Emily S.

Yelp
I'm a Nola native, decided to switch things up and try a new spot. The shop itself is cute, great location, coffee is decent, service was trash. I'm from New Orleans, been in the service industry for most of my adult life, and know first hand that we have bad days and it's sometimes harder to put that smile on our face. I'm not expecting anything out of the ordinary, but being kind is way cooler than being a Gen Z brat. There's nothing worse than feeling like you're an inconvenience as a patron. I'm nice, I tip well, and treat others with respect, I'm not the one to be rude to. We won't be going back.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
I want to support local small business and generally enjoy this place but the majority of the people that work here are SO rude, combative and unwelcoming. Half the time I walk in I stand there for 5 minutes while they talk to each other and hope to be acknowledged. I feel like I'm inconveniencing them just being there.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Really chill nice place. Lots of space and great outdoor seating. The coffee was awesome and the egg chicken sausage burrito I had was tasty. The big old tree out front adds to the ambiance. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in NOLA.
google avatar

M T.

Yelp
So happy to have this place in the neighborhood. Great coffee, great service, lots of socially distanced outdoor tables. Looks cute inside with a piano and lots of nooks that will be great when I go back to being indoors after Covid. They have breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins and donuts. I would highly recommend.
google avatar

Janice G.

Yelp
My go to coffee shop. I love the baristas. They are all sweet! Especially Agnus, she is my FAV. Coffee is great. Never had a bad latte. Their brand of oat milk they use is high quality which is a plus.

J Y.

Yelp
A lot of seats to rest and drink coffee/tea. Stopped by this place in a random afternoon and enjoyed our time here. Clean and stylish. I had a matcha latte, not bad.

Sahana P.

Yelp
Liked the decor a lot! Good music and solid tea selection! Their matcha latte wasn't great; from the color of the matcha it might be they're using culinary instead of ceremonial matcha, plus it came ina coffee cup instead of mug. It wasn't horrible though and there was at least an attempt at latte art so I'm not deducting any stars but just as a heads up I'd try something else! Came here to study and really liked the vibes so I'll definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Robin R.

Yelp
Great establishment! Love the people, the sidewalk chairs and lots of tables, the interior space, the trees, the teas, snacks, sandwiches, Sunday brunch pop ups, and the brews.
google avatar

Latricia H.

Yelp
First visit! Love this spot. Cool vibe and not too loud. Great social distancing. Good coffee. Yummy treats. Excellent customer service and recommendations of what to try. Will be back!

Ana D.

Yelp
A friend of mine tried two coffee shops before stumbling upon this spot. I'd have to say third time's a charm! We are from out of town and the coffee and service are great.

Samille G.

Yelp
I come in here almost everyday after work since I started a job down the street. And this one particular always seems to be in a pretty pissy mood. But I never think anything of it. Until today when I paid with my card and asked for change for my $5 which he tossed to me on the counter and I actually had the reaction to try and catch it and knocked something over. And I was like, "Okay....!" I don't really like confrontation but I always tip, I'm always nice and I have never had bad vibes from anyone else but him. And being a black female with all of your black lives matter signs up is pretty discouraging.
