Old School Burgers

Mixed feelings. Serving sizes are very small compared to their prices. Single patty burgers are about the size of a McDonald’s cheeseburger rather than a larger burger like Shake Shack or Five Guys. Parmasean cheesesteak was loaded with chicken but felt like it was missing something. Cheese fries were very basic but expected. Service was very friendly but took about 20 minutes seated with no air conditioning indoors. Overall the food was good but for the pricing and size there are much better options.

Garlic Parmesan fries were subpar and cold, we even told them the fries were cold and they gave us back a different order of cold fries. We waited 40 minutes for cold french fries and two cheeseburgers. They weren't even at full capacity. Cheeseburgers tasted good though.

Update 2024: Seems like they’re making just breakfast sandwiches and sides currently. Very tasty sandwiches. See pic! Plenty of room and nicely cooled for summer. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great local spot for breakfast. Had the omelette and scrapple choices. Tasty and hot. Portions easily make 2 meals. Service was prompt and friendly. Looking forward to trying their lunch options.

For a newer restaurant still getting its bearings, I was fairly impressed with my overall experience. I ordered the Stars and Stripes burger with a side of fries. The burger itself was delicious, and I really enjoyed the sauce on it. My biggest complaints would be the quality of the bun and the fries. I think they both could have been a little better, but they were not bad. The service itself was great. I had Sarah as my server, and she was absolutely amazing. She answered any questions my family and I had, and was fast bringing the food out. She definitely brought the experience up from three stars to four stars. Overall, I would recommend to a friend!

Went here as we were walking to the beach and the cheese steak was an absolute 10/10… I got the A1 one with the mushrooms and cooper sharp… didn’t expect it to be that good and definitely coming back again.

Old School Burgers is our new favorite place in Ocean City! The burgers are fabulous and there is something for everyone. Keira has been our waitress the last three times we’ve been in and we adore her. Not only did she remember us when we came in but she took the time to ask about my Mom who wasn’t with us this last time. She is one of the friendliest, most cheerful and engaging servers we’ve ever had. Every order came out hot and complete. There are few restaurants that you can go to on a regular basis that are this consistent. Ten stars out of five!!!

Unfortunately, this was our first time trying Old School Burgers. We placed our web order at 6:08pm. We were told to pick up the order at 7:10. We arrived at 7:08. We drove home 5 blocks. The food was ice cold. The fries were filled 1/4 of the bag for a large fry. The chicken wings were rubber. When we called to complain, we were told that "it was our fault that the food was cold." We asked for a refund. First, we were told to come back and get a complimentary fry. Then we were told that they would give us a $20 credit which was reduced to $15. The credit could be used next time. Not sure how they are keeping track of this credit. Overall, very disappointing.

Old School Burger has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Ocean City! My sister and I always request Sarah, whose service is nothing short of 5 stars, and we love the Stars and Stripes burger. Keep up the great work Old School Burger. Looking forward to my next trip to this fine establishment.

Good burgers. Service is adequate. The atmosphere reminds me of a shore sandwich shop. If you're at the beach, near 34th street in OCNJ. I would recommend going here.

Mediocre at best! I ordered a cheese steak with fried onions. Asked for provolone cheese, but only cheddar is offered. The roll crumbled -- a real Atlantic City hoagie roll would be a big improvement. The black & white milk shake was watery and small for the price -- looking for a three straw thickness. The decor is cute.

Was in Ocean City for the weekend and wanted something quick and easy for dinner for a larger group of people. We decided on takeout from Old School Burgers and we were not disappointed. Our order was ready on time and was all correct. My girlfriend and I split a burger and a chicken sandwich since this was our first time eating here and we wanted to try multiple items. Our burger had lettuce tomatoes, pickles, cheese, and crumbled bacon (which was a little odd but still very good). Patties were thin and had a nice crust giving them good flavor. The breading on our chicken sandwich was crispy and was fried perfectly. We enjoyed both the burger and chicken sandwich. The crinkle cut fries were good, though possibly could've been a little crispier, and definitely could've came with a bit larger of a portion size. The pouch they came in reminded me of a kids meal. The onion rings (not pictured) were disappointing. They were just a pile of greasy coating and between 6 adults and 2 kids we didn't finish them. I would definitely order another burger or sandwich from Old School Burgers. Sandwiches were good. Buns were good and soft. There are so many different specialty burgers on the menu or you can build your own. There are also so many different sandwiches on the menu that I'd be interested in trying. We skipped out on dessert but there are numerous shakes and sundaes offered as well. I think the burger and chicken sandwich we ordered are deserving of 4 stars but the onion rings and fries weren't as appealing. All of the employees we dealt with, on the phone and in person, were all very nice.

We visited this restaurant for the first time. When we walked in there were only 2 tables seated. Unfortunately, it took 1 hour to get our food. They finally brought us onion rings and fries but forgot our sandwiches. We waited another 20 minutes. Food was good but not worth the wait at all.

Wow..this was one of the best cheesesteaks I have had outside of Philly. Definitely the best down the Shore. Super cheesy, great meat, soft bun, no gristle, healthy portions and great toppings. The Buffalo chicken wrap was crispy, crunchy and deliciously tangy. And don't sleep on the garlic Parmesan fries! Crunchy crinkle cut fries and the garlic sauce was out of this world. So good we had to go two days in a row. Do yourself a favor and grab some grub from this place because it's fire!!

The food was really very good but the service was rough. I am not sure there was a manager as it looked like there were all kids working. One girl didn't know which menu item was which. There were maybe six tables seated while we were there so they should have been able to handle it but everything took forever.

Disappointing. Had to order at front. Order took quite while for 2 burgers and one order of cheese fries. Warm food at best. Burgers were ok but a bit skimpy on toppings. Overall taste was ok. Honestly had a Big Mac earlier and that was more satisfying. Fries were good but the cheese tasted bland. Worst was the children's nuggets. Let's not go there. Service is very friendly but young staff are easily distracted. They have to step up their game if they want to compete in this town. Previous spot Pork Island was much better.

Can't wait to be back in OCNJ to return to old School burgers. Living on the west coast, it's hard to find good wings so grabbing an order of the boneless wings is one of my first stops when I come back East to visit. Our server, Sarah, was great at suggesting what we may like based on her favorites and popular items. Loved the vibe and pop culture nods inside the restaurant as well!

Burgers are not great, especially considering the restaurant name. Dry and not very flavorful. Also no slices of onion or tomato was weird, everything was diced. Cheesesteaks are pretty good. We ordered an hour early for a specific time, showed up and it took another 20 minutes to be ready. Fries and onion rings were cold. Seems like they finished the sides first and then cooked everything else after.

Was told it would be 40 minutes for an online order. Got there after 45 minutes and proceeded to wait another 30 minutes for my order. All of the people dining in were waiting for orders with multiple people being offered free food because they wanted to leave. Will not be ordering from here again. Food is nothing to write home about.

Excellent food. One of the best burgers I've had. Really well-balanced flavor. I had the Kevin Bacon burger modified to no mayo, add pickles, and with garlic parm and marinara. Delicious. Also, this restaurant has the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in at a restaurant. Others in my family had burgers and cheesesteaks, all excellent. My mom had a gluten-free burger bun which she said was really good, even top three she's ever had. Our kids loved the mac & cheese and chicken nuggets, and the little toys that came with them. Burgers were $9.99, cheesesteaks $14.99, and kids meals $6.99 (drink, meal, fries, and a small toy). Placemats and crayons for the kids to color. Beatles music was playing. Movie posters were on the wall. Michael, our host and server, did a great job, got all orders correct, was helpful and patient and had a great attitude. Five stars for Michael and the chef!

Sliders were awful, one bite and I knew something wasn't right with the meat. Even smelled funny. Place had tons of flies. Ugh!!

Don't waste your time! Ordered at the counter on Saturday around 5:00 pm and waited 45 minutes for 3 burgers and one order of fries. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The burgers came out to the table barely warm with no fries, the person that delivered the burgers was going to take them back to find the order of fries. We had to ask that she leave the burgers since we had waited so long. The fries were cold but we were too frustrated and hungry to complain. One hamburger that was ordered plain came out with some sort of cheese sauce. We will not be returning needless to say!

I can't wait for their prices to put them out of business. A cheesesteak is $20. Complete rip off. Looking forward to the next business to take over this corner. I hope the owner or management sees this because they deserve to be outed for ripping off families on vacation. Cheesesteak was good but you can't charge more than a real cheesesteak like Pat's or Tony Lukes.

I wish this location would do well. The corner of Asbury and 34th is curse. Have had issues here the past 3 times I've ordered whether they don't have the product or take forever to make with no one in here. I wish it was a good spot

My friends and I got dinner here the other night, it was very very good! We've been coming to OC for years now and were very upset when Blitz's closed but this place surprised us and we will surely add this to our vacation trip spots to eat! I ordered online but the girl who rang us up was very nice so the service was not bad at all I would say! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very chill and there is a lot of seating! I would def check this spot out, everything was delicious and def have some cool foods I wanna try in the future... especially breakfast!!!

Probably the worst burger I've ever had. They burger was dry and hard and the roll was falling apart. Not sure what was on the burger except pickles. Save your money and go to McDonalds or Burger King for a better, cheaper burger. I forgot to mention, wearing gloves isn't affective if your walking around opening doors.

Best cheese steak in OC. Waited all summer. Finally I could get a parking spot. If you miss Voltacos go here. Nice soft roll like in Philly. Hands down absolutely delicious!

We took our daughter and granddaughter for breakfast. We had never been there before. Our breakfasts were great. There was lots of variety on the menu. We ordered and were amazed at how fast our food was brought out. Everything was as we ordered it. I like bacon particularly and it was very well prepared at Old School. Eliza our server was cordial and professional; our coffee cups and water glasses were kept full. She was a pleasure to deal with. The atmosphere is bright, clean and cheery. We were glad we chose Old School; we will definately return. The location has been through a number of iterations over the past few years. Old School is new this year. We think it is a keeper and hope visitors and OC residents will find it's a spot they want to visit regularly.

Excellent cheese steaks and burgers! Quick and friendly service. Attractive dining area with plenty o comfortable seating. Reasonable food prices. Worth the visit although parking can be tricky. Definitely will return.

Lost a customer! We placed a takeout order, got home and realized we were missing a milkshake. Rather than go back, we decided to call and get a refund to our credit card for the milkshake. There is NO WAY to get in touch with this restaurant...no email, no phone number...NOTHING! Needless to say they have lost a customer...that is no way to run a business! There are many better places for a burger in Ocean City that actually have a phone and answer it. Stay away from this place!

Got takeout. Order was ready quickly and correct. Ordered burgers and chicken sandwiches - both were yummy! The restaurant itself looked clean and comfortable. My only (tiny) complaint was the toppings were diced up so my daughter couldn't take her tomatoes off her burger, but next time we will just be sure to order without tomatoes. Miraculously she ate a few tomato pieces and lived to talk about it after she inhaled her burger! Next time we'll try from the breakfast menu which also looked good.

Burger was very tasty and huge. Garlic parm chicken sandwich was also delicious. The milkshakes are massive with so many toppings. They are not stingy with the additions that you make which is awesome and hard to find. Definitely coming back soon!

Another awesome breakfast. Great food, service and prices. Nice restaurant. Hope they're there for years to come. Our go-to!
