Old School Delights

Really nice and quaint place tucked on the 2nd floor of explanade? Had a variety of dishes and service was good! The atmosphere had an old school vibe to it. Ordered the chicken chop and rendang which were both very flavourful. Rendang beef was extremely tender, would recommend!

Old School Delights is actually themed after Singaporean schools, from its food to its menu, just like what they often look in their movies! It fits my tourist vibe neatly!! P.S. I ❤️ SG 🇸🇬 Recommendation: Their Nasi Lemak is best served with an iced cold Milo drink!

Pleasantly surprised by this singaporean eatery. Fairly priced for this area and all the food is genuinely singaporean style and also tasty. The laksa and chicken chop were good.

Had a quick dinner here before a shoot at the Esplanade. Ambience is really cute with old school canteen vibes. Love the cute little touch of ordering with a white board too! Food was alright (I kinda expected more for the price), but I had hoped for better. We had chicken chop and fish & chips tonight. Will come back to try the Nasi lemak and other Asian dishes that people speak highly of! Overall, good experience!

Today feels like a trip down memory lane! I'm meeting my old school friend at this charming old-school delight that holds so many memories for us. To make it even more special, we unexpectedly ran into our university friend while having lunch—what are the odds? I ordered the nasi lemak, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The flavors were incredible and truly worth every penny.

Nice place to have a quick meal before concerts, but remember to factor in serving time! Our 2 mains took about ~20mins to serve, and there was a queue at around 7pm. Fish and chips were fragrant, generous portion. We could request for no salt on the fries which was a good addition. ($14.90) Chicken chop was tender and not tough! ($13.90) The side, tuck-shop wings ($5.90) were normal fried chicken wings, nothing special! Average price was ~$20/pax! Wouldn’t go back specially for their food, but if I’m grabbing a quick meal before concerts, definitely!

Nice local food at Theathre by the Bay. Ordered Nasi lemak, lassa, chicken chopped, achar and fish finger fillet. All are nicely done. Laksa gravy is delicious, nasi lemak has sufficient coconut taste and chicken chop is tender. Worth to revisit whenever around that area.
