A slice shop devoted to classic New York technique: thin, foldable wedges, garlic knots, and whole pies for the East End crowd. Loved by locals for straightforward flavors and consistent bakes. Ideal for takeout or a quick counter meal.

Google
Some of the best pizza in Louisville. The crust, sauce, cheese and toppings are all excellent and make a great meal. The only thing I don't like is having to drive from Indiana to get it. I can not recommend it enough.

Google
I’m always looking for good pizza and just came across this place in my search, and I’m glad I did. The pizza here is really good, and you can buy it by the slice which is always a nice option. I went with a cheese slice and a pepperoni slice, plus a drink, which was all under $10. The slices were firm and crispy, with a sauce that tasted very New York pizza-ish. The space is open with lots of seating. The service was fast and friendly. I’ll be back here for sure.

Google
2 pieces and a soda $10.25. Great value. Pick out your slices and they reheat in the pizza oven leaving the crust crispy!! Always have a variety to choose from. Try it, you'll love it!

Google
We came while traveling and based on other reviews. It was about 55 minutes before closing. We sat inside and they were cleaning up the dining room and other areas. We ordered a pizza, & salad. The wait wasn't too long. The salad was excellent and we liked their house dressing. The pizza was pretty good. After our food was dropped we really didn't see our waitress again. Dessert was a no go as the kitchen closed. I'll say the staff really cleaned up the place and we're thorough about it. We'd stop again if ever in the area.

Google
A great slice that comes to you in minutes with super friendly staff. If I get the itch for pizza at lunch, it's an obvious choice. Sauce isn't too sweet or acidic, right amount of cheese, crispy bottom, and good selection of toppings.

Mark Kasten

Google
To be honest not worth the hype. Average slices of semi hot, sat on the shelf for a long time pizza. Maybe would be better if you ordered an entire pie. Not even close to being worth the price you will pay for it. 3 slices over $15. Nope not again.

Google
I flew into Louisville and went straight to work. After not eating all day, I ordered a pizza and salad. Easy online ordering. As a travel nurse, I've had NY pizza and this pizza was similar. Salad was fine, however, I ordered the cheeseburger pizza which comes with Romano cheese. I have to say, I hate Romano cheese--too sharp for my taste. Unfortunately, although I ordered it without it, they forgot to omit it. I wanted to love the pizza especially since I was starving but I couldn't. I did eat a few pieces and could appreciate the crust, the texture and with the right toppings, I'm sure it's quite wonderful. Regardless of my experience, I will give it another try next time I'm in Louisville. Staff was great, parking was easy. Food was ready when I arrived. Oh, I also had a brownie--it was delicious.

Google
First time as I was traveling out of town. Placed the order online which was easy. The pizza took a little longer than I thought but it was Friday night and they had 8 people working hard. Both the young lady working the counter, and the guy that brought out my Pizza to me were nice. The pizza was really good. Loved the dough.

Yelp
Best NYC style pizza. Foldable, fresh and delicious. Very friendly staff and were so helpful. Skip the chains, go real NYC pizza!

Yelp
It's not fair for a native New Yorker to give a review of pizza outside of NYC, however when the name of your establishment is Old School NY Pizza we have to be brutally honest. This is not NY Pizza. The slice is too small to be called a NY slice. Secondly, the sauce lacked flavor. No oregano, not even garlic powder in the sauce. It was bland. The crust was a little thick and doughy. Definitely room for improvement. If you're not from NYC, you may enjoy this pizza.

Yelp
I was very impressed by this place! I was in the area for work and I heard they have a great lunch special. I've been meaning to check this place out and I'm glad I finally got a chance to. I got the lunch special, which is two slices and a drink. Next time I think I'll just get two (maybe three!) slices, I don't think I need the drink. I really loved the pizza! The taste was great and the texture was better, with that wonderful crispy crust. All the slices I tried were delicious, and I'm sure they're bound to have something you'll like. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pretty basic, but in a non-pretentious great way. I can't wait to be back, and I highly recommend!

Yelp
We ordered takeout online. I liked their online ordering feature because it was easy and intuitive to navigate. Additionally, it offered the ability to get half speciality pizza--they charge half the price of the whole specialty item. I thought that's very fair; just glad they didn't try to up charge just to get half / half of specialty pizzas. Overall, pizza was good. But, we were disappointed in the amount of toppings on our pizza. We got half Hawaiian / half deluxe. There was hardly any pepperoni on our deluxe.

Yelp
I'm from Connecticut & you just can't find a good pizza in Ky. These guys make fresh dough pizza New York style. We go there often!

Yelp
The pizza was fantastic. I love thin crust. And the Greek salad was the best. I'd highly recommend this place. The waitress was informative, and initiative to our needs.

Yelp
Good pizza, Service was great, large restaurant with plenty places to sit and watch the game if you want to eat in. I ordered carryout and took it to go. if I had to do again, I would've ordered it well done . Crust could've been a little thinner. I would call it more of a bar pizza than New York style,:overall I would say 6.9

Yelp
Amazing food every single time, the PBR is heaven on a plate. The service is typically decent and quick, the Ambiance is so old New York pizza shop style I adore it!

Yelp
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE. Pizza is always hot and good. Service is always lovely and the ambiance is very family oriented. MUST TRY

Yelp
Better than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's. I've always played it safe with Papa John's or Domino's, but Old School NY Pizza has them beat. Best pizza I have ever had. Just heard of them this year and have had them 7 times or so since then. Have tried a different pizza types every time I've gone and they're consistently amazing.

Yelp
I had been eying this place for a while and had a chance to stop by for lunch one day. We decided to get the two slice combo that comes with a drink since it was a good deal. My sister and I decided on the pepperoni pizza and a slice of the BBQ. They warm it up for you. It's a pretty quick process. Staff was nice. Not sure if it was the owner we met. The BBQ was delicious! It's one of the best BBQ pizzas I've had. I'd come back again for lunch. Prices aren't bad for what you're getting. There's also lots of seating if you want to dine in.

Yelp
I can't believe this is my first review for Old School! We love coming here, specifically to this location. The staff is always super nice & outgoing. It's never too crowded. So we are always able to find a seat at the bar in front of their TVs to watch basketball or football. It has a very chill pizza joint vibe. The pizza is always delicious. You can get by the slice - they always have 6+ pizzas available for their "by the slice." We love to get order an 18" pizza - half & half. Their BBQ pizza is AMAZING. Definitely recommend trying this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love Old School NY Pizza. The two slice and a drink option is great for a quick lunch as you choose your two slices from many prepared options and then they move it to the oven to finish the cook. The result is a hot and perfectly crisp pizza for you to enjoy.

Yelp
Having heard good things about Old School NY Pizza, I had a chance to stop by one day durning lunch. I took advantage of their lunch special, 2 slices of Pizza and a Drink (I wanted 2 slices and a beer but was on the clock :) ) Being by myslef I set a the bar to enjoy my lunch. The staff was friendly and answered my questions with entuhsasim. When my slices of the All Meat pizza came out, they were hot and loaded with toppings. I was even happier when my tastebuds agreed with my eyes that this was going to be some good pizza. I finished off the slices, wishing I could eat more, settled my tab and left knowing I would return whenever I was close by. I also know they have serval pie offerings that I am looking forward to trying in the near future.

Yelp
Awesome place. The reviews are legit. Give this place a bite! Good service too!!! Would have taken a picture of pizza but it was quickly devoured.

Yelp
Always a great place to stop in for a quick slice or two of pizza. The staff is friendly and food is served warm and quality is great.

Yelp
Hi, stop by and wanted to get a slice of pizza to give this spot a try. I walked in I was greeted counter. I ordered one pepperoni slice. It was four dollars and some change which I thought was rather expensive for just a slice of pizza. I have been in New York and I've had many of their dollar slices that were bigger and just as tasty. The pizza itself was good. I did enjoy it but I'm gonna give it a three stars because as I said, I think for the price it's not gonna do the job
google avatar

Yelp
Our favorite pizza joint! We've loved everything we ordered from here and not been disappointed!

Yelp
THIS is a delicious New York style pizza. Nothing fancy. Just delicious pizza done right.
google avatar

Deanna S.

Yelp
This is THE go-to place when you're looking for New York style pizza in Louisville. It's sold by the slice here (a few topping options in the case) and the size, crust, grease, and bake of these slices is just right *chef's kiss* You can of course get whole pizzas if desired. Keep in mind this isn't the Neapolitan style pizza that's also popular in New York, but rather the more native, ubiquitous New York style that you get when you aren't "going out to eat" there but instead just grabbing a slice casually. There isn't much ambiance here, but who needs it when the slices are this good.

Marc S.

Yelp
Awesome NYC thin sliced style pizza. I mean - it couldn't be even closer to grabbing slice in midtown Manhattan! Highly recommended
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in Louisville . They got the best pizza that you can buy in town and I will definitely recommend it A+.

Yelp
Crispy, fresh, soooo good! We had the all meat and buffalo slices. Love the two slice and a drink deal for $9 and some change. Kids spaghetti was also great! Friendly atmosphere that is kid friendly, bar in the back. We will be back!

Yelp
My family of 4 visited Old School NY Pizza today for the first time. This is its original location and they've recently opened a second in Norton Commons. It's tucked off Factory Ln but not easy to see from the street. My GPS was confused! We opted to do their special with a cheese pizza, garden salad and garlic knots. This was more than enough but half of the family wanted slices with pepperoni and sausage so we also got a small pizza. This gave us leftovers to heat up for another time. Confirm the toppings for the salad in case you'd like to opt out of some (ie - onions). They were generous with toppings and dressings. Garlic knots were fluffy and fantastic dipped in marinara. Lots of cheese on the pizza, so no need to order extra, but it is a bit light on sauce. On our small pizza they did not let us down on toppings either. Large area for indoor seating and we noticed they had a lot of carry out. Very minimal decor, including paper plates and plastic utensils. Soda machine available for refills. Fast service once we placed our order and they paced each item in our special. We'll be back!

Yelp
Food is good but I dont understand why managers allow employees to go on break in the bar and then let them have their phones on speaker so it interrupts the whole atmosphere because you have to listen to someone else conversation. When I brought it to the manager he just starred at me and did nothing. This is the last time I'm coming here.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Lunch special of a good sized slice of pizza, a small salad which isn't that small, and a beverage for 11.50. An extra $1 to make that salad Greek! Their Greek salad is the bomb, with chopped romaine, sliced onion, feta cheese chunks, Kalamata olives, and croutons. Choice of dressing but I really like their House vinaigrette. It's just right! The slices of pizza are visible in a case to choose from and they slide it into the pizza oven to warm it up. There's always fun music playing and the workers are all friendly, helpful and seem to be enjoying themselves! Lots of open seating. Clean place. You cannot miss here!

Yelp
Best pizza ever service is great Gary and Donna work so hard a we love to talk to them.would recommend old school to everyone.Hand made crust and great place for your family

Yelp
Excellent service and pizza - we are always glad for a reason to be in this part of Louisville so we can eat here!

Yelp
Best pizza in the Ville. The calzone with sausage & pepperoni is to die for! I'm a native New Yorker and Old School NY Pizza is just like being back home.

Yelp
We were in the mood for pizza and wanted to try somewhere new. I can't say that I've had New York-style pizza before (and if I have I never realized it.) It had a thin crust and was gigantic...and was really, really good! For pizza this big I'd prefer to get it by the slice, but we ordered takeout so we opted for a full pie. It was a great deal for how much we got! You can easily order online with them. They have different specialty pizzas, but you can also select different toppings/sauces individually. Once we ordered, the website quoted us a 60 minute wait, but the store immediately called us and let us know it would only be about 25 minutes. Let me tell you... for the two of us being the type that could down 3-4 pieces easily, we could hardly finish two! And it was great. Even for my plain self just ordering cheese on my half, I loved it. If you're near the PeeWee Valley area looking for pizza, Old School NY is your place.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Glad I finally did, even though it was carryout. The pizza was really good. Similar to The Post. Really nice crust, that was soft on the inside but not flimsy on the outside. The pepperoni was delicious. Cupped up real nice. Cant wait to eat here again. Next time we will dine in!

Dyann D.

Yelp
Good service. Pizzas always good and fresh. Pepperoni is excellent. Staff always friendly And efficient.

Michael F.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic, I'm from Philadelphia and this pizza is a taste of home, the best in Louisville by far.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
Showed up less than ten minutes before close. I actually called ahead to try to get some slices set aside but they said call aheads are for full pizzas only. So my Uber driver dropped me real quick and I grabbed four slices for me and a slice for my driver. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. I asked for ranch and red pepper and they tossed in some plates and I was out the door in minutes. I heated the slices up in the oven at 350 for about 5 min. Delicious.
google avatar

Dianne M.

Yelp
As a transplanted New Yorker, used to great pizza, I was very satisfied with this restaurant. Other choices besides pizza are also available and quite tasty. Staff is pleasant and helpful.
google avatar

Marcus V.

Yelp
Man the food here is awesome. Ambiance, I mean it's a pizza place. Sometimes fancy doesn't make it better. Service is always top notch and if you love America and Pizza this is the place for you.

Natalie M.

Yelp
First, the pizza is awesome and my son LIVES for the garlic knots. He will eat the whole tray! The staff is extremely nice and on top of things as well as accommodating for me and my 2 small children. The owners are always there and always check on everyone. They seem to always be smiling and in a good mood! This place has a pretty great bar selection for a pizza place and drinks are made correctly. I give this place 5 stars easily! If you haven't been and are picky about pizza like I am, you must swing by!

Kristin L.

Yelp
We walked in on a weekday evening. The place was not busy but had some guests. Service was an A+, the guy at the counter had some suggestions and was prompt to take the order. The house salad was very fresh (read: not bagged). Pizza slices and pepperoni knots arrived quickly. Pizza was good and hot! Crust was crisp and not overly saucy. The pepperoni knots were dusted with that fake Parmesan cheese that I could do without. Good while hot but otherwise underwhelming. Not bad for a quick bite, but something I would not travel miles to eat either. Got the job done
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
This is my family's fave pizza place. It's low key, the staff is always friendly and smiling and it's super convenient if you live nearby. The pizza is classic NY style, really delicious and I would choose it over any chain. There's a great family atmosphere here and they are super sweet to the kiddos!
google avatar

Bradley A.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I am going with the minority here. I liked the vibe inside--especially for a store front pizza place--and the employee was friendly and helpful. But the pizza was blah. Had a 1/2 meat and 1/2 Brooklyn supreme. It was not bad, but nothing like pizza in New York. And it didn't make me want to return here.

Will K.

Yelp
I love this place. Closest reminder to NYC pizza you'll find anywhere around. Slices are gigantic, requiring the NYC pizza fold. Plus they sell by the slice!!

Blake W.

Yelp
When we head into a new town we always seek the local wood fire grill pizza place. This one was rated high so we stopped by. The service was great and the pizza was amazing. Great flavor and crispy crust. Definitely worth the visit.
google avatar

Donna R.

Yelp
I have never enjoyed bbq chicken pizza like I do now! Great selection, friendly service and welcoming staff. Great job.
google avatar

Christopher P.

Yelp
You've got to come check this spot out! Food is absolutely perfection! Service is nothing short of amazing and they added a bar if that's your thing. You can get a slice or two or order a whole pie. They have a great selection of pizzas and I love their garlic knots. Best Caesar's salad around.
google avatar

Lauren O.

Yelp
It was a nice, and clean little place. The pizza was just standard though. Nothing to write home about. The price point was really good though! The pizza in the case looks really unappetizing but they cook it some after pulling it out and when they bring it to you it looks very yummy. The bathrooms were super clean and had some cute little funny sayings on the wall. Overall a good place to pop in for a quick bite.

Yelp
I've worked at Ford truck plant for 4 years and just now tried this place for lunch - I've been missing out! The staff was beyond friendly, there were 12 different pizzas to choose from ready for the oven, and the lunch combos were amazingly priced. For $7 you get 2 giant slices of pizza and a drink, or for $7.50 you get 2 slices, a drink, and a salad. I ordered a slice of the cheeseburger pizza, a slice of the ham and pineapple pizza, and the drink (Coke products). We also ordered the garlic knots and they were delish. I'll definitely be a regular here, they're doing great things. Reminds me of the old Sbarro pizza you could get at the mall. Thin, crispy crust, fresh toppings, and quick. Thanks so much!
