Old School Pizzeria plans expansions across Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"I learned that Old School Pizzeria is expanding with two new locations: one at 1930 Rock Springs Drive near Lake Mead Boulevard expected to open by mid-April, and a second at Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive slated for August; owner Giovanni Mauro also operates Pizzeria Monzú on West Flamingo Road." - Susan Stapleton

Just moved to Vegas last week, had some recommendations on a social media platform for a few different pizza restaurants, we tried Old School Pizzeria first and now I don’t think we even need to try any of the other recommendations! The pizza was thin but not too thin, just the perfect amount of crunch and soft dough, loved the little bit of char on the crust, toppings were delicious and high quality, the sausage was superb and the HOMEMADE GARLIC SAUCE he gave us for dipping was phenomenal! Highly highly recommend!!!

We’ve been wanting to stop by for a while now and finally made it in. We walked in and sat at a booth. We were immediately greeted and attended to; the gentleman brought out menus and we ordered an XL pepperoni and sausage pizza with a half order of garlic knots. The knots came out first and they were phenomenal, probably the best I’ve had in Vegas - and I’ve tried quite a few lol. The dough was doughy, soft and delicious.. the garlic sauce was the perfect amount of flavor. The pizza finally came out and it was just as delicious. The sourdough dough and crispy crust were so good. I’d definitely recommend and I’m absolutely coming back!

First time visit yesterday. Not impressed at all! Price was high for lunch!! It started with the soda, very flat. My husband got the soup and salad which was good. He got a slice of cheese and I got pepperoni with the garlic knots lunch special, which does not come with a drink. Both slices were not as big as they claim, being monster…no way. It is not NY style which some people say it is. Both slices were black on the bottom and top with big bubbles in the dough. Because they were well done it dried out the cheese and sauce. Both were FLAVORLESS!!! Terrible. The garlic knots were burnt too. Not really into burnt food. Those also had no flavor and the red sauce for dipping tasted sour! Our meal came on nice dinnerware but that does not make up for burnt and flavorless food. The service was good, but she messed up on our bill and when I questioned it she took my receipt to look into and came back with $10.25 which she OVERCHARGED us…what?? That’s a huge mistake. We won’t be back. How is this place on any list when people talk about good or best pizza in Vegas??!! Disappointed, hungry and feel ripped off.

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a pepperoni calzone. Good price for both and the portions are huge! My boyfriend and I could have been fed on one or the other so we had a lot of leftovers! The young man at the counter was above and beyond nice and the food came out quickly. Can be a romantic spot and casual. Love the Italian crooners singing on the speakers too.

Google
The pizza is just okay. Nothing to call home about. Sauce is overly sweet and watery. Cheese does it's job? When I went to pickup my pizza I thought the place was closed as it seemed so dimly lit without a soul in the place. The cashier was just chilling behind the register on a chair on his phone. Smelled like floor cleaner. "Regular sized" pizza was the size of a slightly larger personal pizza. I don't recommend it.

Google
Nice place and friendly staff. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and we finally got the chance today. Tucked away in a busy shopping center thanks to the yellow and red chain fast food place on Lake Mead and 95. Nice and clean on the inside super easy to order, we got a half and half Pizza my only suggestion is order extra sauce if you like pizza sauce or their version of marinara. The pizza was really good and hit the spot, but just a little more sauce would have definitely done the trick. I will definitely go back for more and pay for more pizza sauce. Their monster slice is pretty much a small pizza! Wow. Get that and a garden salad on your lunch break, you will be good to the next day.

Google
This was not the place for us. The meat ball sandwich was sweet and had an odd after taste. The antipasta salad was super wet by the time we brought it home and only had ham, which I was surprised. The pizza breading was so good! If we only had the pizza bread, then this would have been 5 stars. We also didn't like the sausages being cut into thin slices in the sandwich and pizza. We won't be coming back again, but other people might like it, so give it a try.

Google
Amazing pizza! Huge slices and the crust had the perfect crunch. Been looking for somewhere with great pizza on the NW side of town and they did not disappoint. Amazing Bruschetta! 😋 Also love their 50/50 lemonade and passion fruit drink provided in a mason jar. Great portions and great food. Visited on a Friday around 2 pm, 3 people. Not busy at all and the staff were super helpful. Will definitely visit again

Yelp
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Old School Pizzeria i used to go to the original store long ago. They've expanded now, both with this location and a wider menu but they still give uou the same fantastic food along with goos forservice and a generous price point. I had a meatball slice lunch special with the most delicious slices of meatball. The tater tots were slices of heaven. With my iced tea, the total came to just under $14.00. As my new employment is around the corner, this will be a cheat day go to.

Yelp
I've been here once before. I enjoyed what I had. This time, I'm not so sure. Prices have increased, though everything is expensive at the moment so no one is immune, which is disappointing. It's a really nice place it's hard to understand why it's not busier on a Saturday night. Granted I came in about two hours before closing but I still expected a handful of occupied tables. In total I counted about 6, 4 of which got food to go. I had the calzone with black olives. I received a calzone with Kalamata olives, which still kind of worked in the foods favor. The sourdough dough tastes fantastic. However what I received had at least a quarter of unfilled dough that was undercooked. You could see the layer of still raw dough. Again, excellent dough--good chew, nice tang--but definitely under. The audio from a movie competing with more appropriate music for a pizza joint and a seated person who clearly has had a long, slow day behind the register when I came in was awkward. Hope this place can drum up consistent business because I like a lot about it.

Yelp
This was my first time Old School Pizzeria and I was excited to try it out, but after eating there I left disappointed. I will say that the staff here is friendly and willing to work around special requests if you want to change or add something to one of their existing pizzas. I did not care for the combinations of pizzas that were on the menu so I ordered The Vegetarian and decided to take off a few things and add a little bit of meat to it. I will say overall this was not the worst pizza I've ever had, but definitely not the best. And yes, they're dough is very different then other pizzerias but I just did not like it. I felt like the dough was a little too heavy. If I could try to describe the texture of the pizza, especially the crust, it's a mixture of pie dough that was heavily buttered and fried. It didn't taste bad, it's just not the type of dough I care for. I also felt like the flavor of the pizza was lacking no matter how many ingredients it had. I also ordered their anti-pasta salad and it was a very depressing little salad. A lot of the lettuce was wilted, and it just lacked ingenuity, taste and freshness. Overall, this was a pretty boring experience and I just can't recommend Old School Pizzeria.

Yelp
Old School Pizzeria is a casual Pizza Restaurant with Three Locations in Las Vegas. This location does serve Wine and Beer and has wait service during dinner hours. Commercial Yeast is not used here. The dough is made with a three hundred year old family starter. It is a sourdough with a five day fermentation. This produces a more developed flavor and also give the dough less carbohydrates. Inside is casual and with the black boards looks a little bit like a school room. This Rock Springs Location is a five minute ride longer than the Craig Road Location that I normally go to. I wanted to come here because they have a slightly longer food menu and I wanted to try some of the things that I can't get at the Craig Road location. We shared the mozzarella sticks. They come with garlic-mascarpone cream and red sauce. WOW! They are the biggest mozzarella sticks I ever had. They were fried nicely and weren't oily. They can really feed four people. I tried the Tortellini in Vodka Sauce. We both thought the vodka sauce was very good. My husband tried the Calabrese Pizza (Artisan Salami, hot peppers, olives, sauce, cheese). He thought the salami on it was very good. The person that took our order was very efficient and helpful. Parking is easy and close.

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza in Vegas! Cheap delivery, amazing prices, easy pick up options. Read through for all details. This review is after one year of coming here! The best atmosphere and ambiance!! The music makes you feel like you're in Italy . This is an only in Vegas. NOT a chain restaurant. You're talking fresh High quality ingredients and everyone is family and friends that run the place. The best staff! The owners daughter comes in and works, cousins, nephews,. Piazza is another one who always smiles & gets whatever you need. This truly is old school Italian food. I was raised by old school Irish and Italians... Gabe who takes your order, remembers you, he is attentive and so nice, cleans the chalk board for my kid. That's right there's a chalk board on the wall for the kids & adults. Makes me crazy seeing the line at in N out when for the same price you get (meat, cheese, bread) tell me what's in a burger lol. The slices are Huge! Get the Monster slice and add an extra slice which is discounted plus a drink. Plus you get points which adds up quick so they literally pay you back for your loyalty. In N Out do that? Gets you gas credits too. Just realized I had $40 in gas rewards and I I've been using all my points. Plus the points every time I have credits. This isn't low grade corporate ingredients like every other fast food. The dough is such high quality, your body will appreciate it! You feel good after eating! Look at the toppings options. Fresh Motz, peppers, arugula, fresh basil... It's hard & costly to keep those fresh ingredients. And the prices are so fair! They must have a razor thin profit margin to compete with nearby fast food. We have to keep places like this in business. Support local but more so, support high quality local! This is the same owner of Monzù Italian Oven, which I can't wait to take the wife and kid. They use an app called "local by toast" cheap delivery!! Super easy to make an order. Used Apple Pay. You can also use your phone number and setup those rewards points and redeem them in the app. I just used it for the first time last night. Was such a great experience I had to write this review. And look at that pizza! Cooked perfect! Compare the size to the water bottle! It's basically a full size pizza, fills the box and for the same what these FastFood places are charging! Plus you can re heat what you don't eat. You're not gonna re heat in N out or any of those places. What's that tell you... Fiil in the reason why no one likes re-heating. Wife picked it up. But I couldn't believe how cheap the delivery option was compared to Uber, door dash and all those. Check it out yourself, keep the place in business. You'll get good karma points and realize what you've been missing out on all while supporting a truly local family owned business that works their tails off.

Yelp
Liked the old school vibe and friendly staff. The pizza looked great and had a perfect crispy crust. However, both the pizza and the garlic knots had a distinct, unexpected sourdough tang. As someone who makes pizza, it tasted like dough that had been left out too long. It might have been an off night, and I'd try it again. But for now, the unique flavor profile holds it back.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best pizzas in Vegas. However, I must caveat that by saying that only applies to this particular location. For some reason, both the service and food quality are lacking at the other two locations in town. This one has great tasting pizza, and clearly benefits from a much better management team. The Craig road location is right by my house but I refuse to go there anymore because every time I do, there is always something wrong with my order and/or service is always slow and incompetent. I got a pepperoni/meatball pizza here tonight and it was great, came out piping hot. The gentleman working the counter and waiting the tables was super friendly too.

Yelp
The first thing is that the staff is ALWAYS superb here! Friendly and welcoming! That consistency in service is the reason I keep coming back. Many I see order for pick-up, but there's also a great dining area for you to enjoy your food fresh on the spot and there's tv's around as well. I especially enjoy the riddle puzzles on the chalkboard walls. One of my go-to items here is their Antipasto Salad. I love their dressing and I'm not even a vinaigrette person. Their dressing is nice and light and gives it a great refreshing flavor. I also love their pizza here. The dough has crisp and the thin slice is one of my favorites in the valley. I decided to try something new on a past visit - their stuffed chicken wings. I have to note that I was on a low carb diet at the time so I didn't get the sauce that comes with the wings. I think the sauce likely completed this item and I missed out on it. However, the wing is very unique. It is stuffed with sausage and it's quite filling! From what was explained, the chicken wing is deboned and then stuffed with their homemade sausage. The skin comes out crispy and the wing turns out to be really big!

Yelp
Went there to have the charcuterie board which was still on the menu but they no longer have. Ordered the small antipasto which was a lot of greens with a few slivers of meat and tomatoes. Their 'monster slice" pizza for $11.99 was anything but and it was cold and doughy. Will never go back there.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
My first time here, and I thought I was going for pizza. To my pleasant surprise they had this chicken thigh dish...I live bone-in chicken thighs. This dish was definitely elevated pizza place fare. Tasted good, looked great and was only $12! Pizza has a nice crispy crust. Antipasto salad is fresh and light. The garlic knots are the BEST. I ordered a passion fruit iced tea. It came in a 32oz mason jar. After I paid I realized it was over $8. It was delicious but call me cheap, that's an expensive tea. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean.

Yelp
Not a thin crust person, but this was the best thin crust pizza I've had in a very long time. Very good pizza. We had a regular size Carnivore Pizza. It was excellent. Also we ordered an appetizer of bread knots. They were great as well. Our server was very nice. When we first came in there wasn't any customers yet (we came for a early dinner on a Friday), and the music was really loud, but when we sat down our server said right away that he would turn it down. He was very friendly and helpful. The service was good. Our bread knots came out first (we ordered them a little before the pizza), and we had enough time to eat all the bread knots and wait a few minutes before the pizza came out. It was good timing of the two items. The food is made fresh. I recommend coming to Old School Pizzeria, it was a great pick for tonight. Good local pizza place.

Yelp
I'm a super fan of Monzu and Nora's so there's no doubt I was going to love this restaurant owned by the same family. Located in a crazy awkward strip mall. Who designs these parking lots anyway !!! Totally worth the inconvenience !! My friends and I all opted for the $8.99 lunch special which is a super large slice of pizza (honestly the biggest slice I've ever seen !!) and a choice of a side. I chose the antipasto salad which is a mere $1 up charge. Both selections were super yummy. Wayyy enough food for lunch. You place your order at the front and the staff serves it to your table. Great music playing overhead makes the environment warm and welcoming. I highly recommend if you're in the mood for an easy lunch date. PS ... one of our friends ordered the stuffed chicken wing to her order. Omg so interesting. I didn't try it but the consensus was that it was amazing.
google avatar

Jenna H.

Yelp
Went here tonight for dinner. We ordered the pork reign pizza in a 14" which was plenty for 2 to split. When I say this was the freshest pizza I've had in a while I mean it. The pizza was loaded with toppings and cooked perfectly. We also got garlic knots which were out of this world. Our cashier was very nice and very helpful. I love the feel of this place the interior is nice and clean and they have a window to see the whole kitchen. We will definitely be back stuffed chicken wings definitely sound amazing to try.

Yelp
OMG! Good food was awesome. Finally a place that knows how to use herbs to their advantage! The food was so wonderful right down to the rosemary garlic not just fantastic food. We had gotten a monster sliced meal and it was just awesome. just absolutely awesome. I cannot wait to try the rosemary infused lemonade again this place knows how to use herbs and spices properly. The food is just magnificent.

Yelp
My work wives and I met up at 1pm on Friday. It was just the four of us, which was nice. It had a nice clean and steamlined vibe. The guys behind the counter were very nice and asked if I needed any help or anything while I browsed the menu. So the reason why I only gave it 4 stars, is that honestly, I felt it was a little pricey. Yes, the monster slice was huge, but for $8.99, it could have been bigger and/or included toppings. Instead, it's an extra 75 cents for each basic topping added and 89 cents for premium toppings. I actually like a lot more on my pizza, but I wasn't feeling like paying $12 for a slice. The pizza was very good though. Mind blowing, no, but it was a solid slice. The salad was a nice portion. I don't know if they normally do, but they did let me have a refill on my Diet Coke (it doesn't indicate refills on the menu). All in all it ended up being a great place that we sat and talked for about an hour and a half. It's nice that it's right by work. I would come here again, but I'm not dying to make it happen.
google avatar

Meya B.

Yelp
The pizza has a pretty unique taste compared to some of the other pizzas i've had. What really stands out though is the sourdough crust! It's so delicious! They also have really good iced teas. The restaurant itself is pretty cute and has fun little jokes on the walls inside. Friendly staff but they're usually kind of busy so takes a little bit especially on weekends .
google avatar

Koryn G.

Yelp
Went to meet a friend there and it wasn't really busy but also quiet which was kinda different. I got the monster size slice of pepperoni and it was so good! We also got wine and it was refreshing. Service was good but the food kind of took awhile to come out. I would be open to trying them again and maybe doing takeout food instead.

Rita O.

Yelp
Last night me and my friend came into this location close to closing around 8:30 with our 4 kids after HallOveen and the place was empty so naturally our kids were literally running around and acting crazy but the staff were so patient and nice and the food was amazing. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Gail D.

Yelp
This is the best pizza this side of NYC! Crust, fresh toppings, sauce...unbelievable! What a pleasure to have found the real thing right here in the desert! The staff makes you feel right at home and your pizza gets done quite quickly. The only problem is that it's way too expensive for us): T

Yelp
My daughter and I swung by here after school for a quick bite for lunch, we usually go to in n out, but since the line was wrapping around the block, we decided to go here instead. And im so happy we did, the hostess was super sweet, the food came out fast, fresh and delicious. Also, great value on the single monster "slice" ( its pretty much half a pizza XD). We loved the decor, super clean as well ++ loved it, we'll be back.
google avatar

Tim H.

Yelp
Walking in reminds you of old school Italian food and the food comes and it was one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. The crust is thin but very filling and the Mediterranean olives add a nice taste with the home made sausage. Overall a great meal and we will be back to try other things on the menu.

John B.

Yelp
This was the worst pizza I have ever had. I got it home, it was burnt, toppings were awful and extremely overpriced. There is no excuse for even putting that pizza in a box. I have given this shop at least three opportunities to make a decent pie and they have failed miserably.
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
Originally just on the North side of Las Vegas, it's great to see Old School expanding to a few locations across town. I usually just grab an individual monster slice but came with a group so we decided to go for the whole monster pie! Be warned that you'll need a separate table just for your pie. Not kidding... it took up our whole booth!! It's so fun though and the pizza itself is delicious with the most perfect dough. We were torn on which specialty pizza to order but thankfully they were able to split the pie between the two we wanted. I also loved their signature drink passion fruit tea too. It's served in a huge mason jar that they let you take home (for a slightly higher price).

Toni Jo A.

Yelp
Love the vegetarian pizza; absolutely delicious. Next visit I'll get a larger size so there's leftovers. Making for a delicious next breakfast.

Lisa V.

Yelp
Im giving 3 stars for taste only. My boss bought one and shared..However when I called them last night, i discovered its unaffordable for this mere peasant. I cannot afford a 70.00 pizza lol Also the guy tried to explain their large is a small and the xl was a large and toppings are more for each topping lol..so nah, we ordered Villa Pizza, medium peperoni and 15 wings plus a 2 liter of coke for 42.00 and had leftovers for today. Villas my go to anyways but thought I would change it up, but no way. Nice people but like I said, I could buy two rib eyes, 2 baked potatoes and drinks at the store for the cost of a "pizza" I just cant justify it, but for the very wealthy folks, have at it.
google avatar

J D.

Yelp
Had a few really good pizzas here but tonight it was undercooked - chewy and doughy....even when I asked for WELL DONE - its was still chewy Not great at all and not enough sauce either so kinda tasteless... . need to take more time and make sure the crusts are crispy....not doughy....its not good when its like that,,,
google avatar

Geri G.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch while running errands today and surprisingly this place was empty. It was around 12 and it was just me and the people who were working. Normally not a great sign, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Their food is really good. Walking in it's really clean and really nicely decorated for a pizza place. Chalk board signs that have been really nicely done and lots of options. I ordered at the counter and the person was super nice and welcoming. I got their monster slice with pepperoni and their garlic knots. The food came out fast and it was well done. The garlic knots were nice garlicky and buttery. The pizza slice was huge. I should have looked at the size of the slice before ordering. But the ingredients were fresh and the sauce was delicious. The crust had a nice chew to it, where crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I am surprised that they weren't more crowded at lunch time because the food was good service was good and the price point isn't bad. It definitely a place I want to check out again.

Kaytlynn B.

Yelp
Came for the lunch special, a monster slice served with side and drink. $11 Ambience is 10/10 and the staff is nice. Quick service and pizza is delicious.
google avatar

Clint W.

Yelp
Finally got the chance and stop and try this place, I usually end up at chipotle or in & out when I'm over this way! Place is small but clean and still has plenty of room to sit and eat if you want. Wanted to just get a slice but it was too late in the day and they were out of single slices. Ordered a pizza to go instead and sat and played tik tac toe until pizza was ready! People were friendly and the pizza ended up being really good! Nice little place and it didn't break the bank!
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Had to stop by two days later on my way back home. When is the last time you visited a pizza place twice in three nights and don't live around it? Awesome
google avatar

Yelp
Good Pizza and neighborhood joint. great feel to the place, good beers and good pizza for sit in or take out. have been a few times and this will be on my pizza rotation for eating in or take out.

Yelp
I love this place; my wife and kid also love it here. The staff are always so nice! The cooks are the best in the business. The dough is 1000x better than anywhere in town! This is truly Old School and made from a mother dough! I came through on my motorcycle today and saw my kids' chalk art still up. They have an awesome "Imagine Corner" for anyone to draw. I always see the line at In-N-Out and think to myself, "If they only knew the best pizza in town is right here," and close to what it costs for a meal from there! People are missing out. A slice can come with sides or an extra slice! The pepper blend is amazing! I can't say enough about this place. The music makes you feel like you're back in time, plus the artwork! Go check it out. You won't be disappointed. Owned by old-school Italians, this isn't some fake Olive Garden. You come here and you'll be skipping that crazy In-N-Out line from now on. Meat, cheese, and the best dough! What's in a burger? They have many other offerings and rewards points, plus local beer from Able Brewing! You'll kick yourself once you go here that you didn't know it was tucked away and so amazing! My parents owned an Italian deli in the 80s and are all from NY. Trust me, this is better than any drive-through restaurant in the entire area and the best pizza in the city! The picture is of the fun chalk board for anyone to do art! Wish I took a pic of my food, lol. Next time. Come and try it and keep small business alive. Stop giving your money to these big corporations who don't care about you as a customer. Just my personal recommendations after coming here for about a year, this truly is family owned & they make you feel like family. -One Love

Yelp
The crust is made with sourdough and is absolutely amazing. The dipping sauce is like an Italian version of ranch made with mascarpone. The cannoli is HEAVENLY and old a few dollars. The lemonade is also amazing. Would definitely recommend. Service is pretty average time and the staff are nice. The inside is spacious and is good for having a family dinner.
google avatar

Shira M.

Yelp
Beautiful, clean new location. Still top 5 pizzas I've ever had. Glad this location is just as good as the original. Service was fast and with a smile! The stuffed chicken wings are always a must and I love their house made 50/50 lemonade tea. So good! We had the fennel mozzarella salad, very tasty and I love the crunch of the fennel. Then it was on to the pie, we had a 1/2 apricot, 1/2 Vegas meets Italy. Perfect pair. The crust was slightly thicker than at the original location but we didn't mind. It's just so good!

Yelp
Went to pick up a pizza on our way to go stargazing for the evening. Ordering online was easy and super straightforward. Staff were friendly and helpful when picking up the pizza as well. The ambience is great, will definitely be dining in soon with friend. The pizza was wonderful, and some of the best pizza in the valley. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family, and be returning soon!!
google avatar

Yelp
I thought the pizza was good and well the service was great the ambience it's a very small convenient place for a pickup. If you order maybe get a little extra marinara sauce.
google avatar

Vianca G.

Yelp
We ordered the regular Apricot pizza and while it tasted great, there was waaay more crust than actual pizza. Not sure it was worth the $24.

Yelp
This place was great! My sister and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch since they have a slice combo. The restaurant was a pretty decent size, and the menu is written along a chalkboard wall. We were greeted right away and given time to look at the menu and make our choices. I don't remember the name of the guy who helped us, but he was very nice and working his butt off! The draw for us when we were looking for food places near where we were shopping was that it wouldn't be a normal sit down restaurant and that the price be reasonable. The draw for us was the pizza slice combo. It was $8.99 for a monster slice of pizza (it's huge!) and choice of half order of bread knots, potato crocche, or cup of lentils. You could also add to antipasto or gio salad for $1 more. Toppings were 75 cents extra for normal, $1.35 extra for premium toppings, and $2 extra for super premium toppings. The menu also includes specialty dishes like pasta and desserts. The drinks were pretty interesting as well. You could do a normal soda, or they had passion iced tea or grilled rosemary lemonade in mason jars, which were enough for 2 people to split. The prices for their specialty pizzas seem pretty standard for a non-chain pizza shop. Translation: They are a bit pricey. The small size, which is 14 inches and serves 2 to 3 people, ranges from $23 to $29 depending on what you get. I'm sure they taste amazing, though! I got a slice of pepperoni pizza, and my sister got pepperoni and hot honey. For my side, I chose the potato crocche and my sister the bread knots. I wanted the crocche because I had no idea what it was. Unfortunately, that day, their fryer was broken, so they had to pan fry it rather than deep fry it. It was still very good! It's basically breaded and fried mashed potato balls. It was seasoned very nicely and was soft inside. The bread knots were soooooo good! They were really garlicy and had lots of parmisan, I loved them! The pizza was very big and really good. We couldn't finish all of our food and had to take the rest to go, which conveniently they have some boxes ready to go for you to just grab. I'm really glad we got to try this place and sort of stumbled upon it. I definitely recommend them if you want a quick place to drop in and grab a bite to eat.

Yelp
Yes pizza by the slice customized to you! The garlic knots are to die for, the rosemary lemonade hits all the right spots, and the customer service was outstanding! It's a quick service place but they don't miss the mark on anything. I'm excited to go back and try their lentil soup. The salad and the little fried potato croquettes brought up the experience to another level. Reminds me of my time on the east coast, cannot wait to come back and try some more sourdough pizza!

Yelp
Pizza was pretty good. No complaints. The restaurant was dirty. Nobody but my friend and I in the place. Two guys working behind the counter and at least 6 dirty tables. It really robbed from the experience.

Yelp
Monzu (the owners sister restaurant) is one of our favorites. We recommend it to everyone, especially our Italian friends who come to visit. Because of that we decided to try Old School. The owner is clearly very invested in the quality of the restaurant and took the time to communicate this with us. We really appreciated that. They have a little delivery tracker so you can follow along with where your order is. The preparation and delivery was fast.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful establishment that is very low key and has great music playing! The pizza was delicious and the service was outstanding! David took care of my party and was very tentative with us! 10/10 experience overall and I will absolutely be back! During this trip I had the tropical passion tea (comes in a mason jar) with a slice with pepperoni (it's a huge slice), a regular size Apricot speciality pie, and finished with a cannoli.

Yelp
This is difficult to write because Old School on Rock Springs has been our go-to pizza place since we moved to this part of Las Vegas in 2021... I wrote a 5 star review in the past and recently told a friend they were probably my favorite current pizza place in town. But the pizza we ordered last night was not only bad, it was actually worthy of being called awful. We ordered an XXL with pepperoni and house-made sausage along with a jar of lemonade. We also left a tip, and paid just over $50 in total. We live nearby and picked up our food on time, got home, opened the box and could immediately see that something was off. The outer crust was mostly done, but all of the inner crust was under cooked and doughy. The pizza appeared smaller than a usual XXL, which we have ordered many times, as though the dough hadn't been stretched all the way. All of the cheese and toppings were pooled and fused together in the center and the cheese was even undercooked. I had to grab my own pizza slicer to reslice the fused together slices/blobs which fell apart when you picked them up, and since we had invited a guest to stay for dinner and made a salad, we tried to make it work. As is, what we were served was basically inedible and the taste was completely off. We tried reheating a couple of pieces to see if it would improve somewhat and it didn't at all. As someone who cooks almost every night of every week and makes my own pizzas at home, it was incredibly disappointing to want a rare night off from cooking, to look forward to some of my favorite pizza, and end up getting served that. We had a very similar experience there once before but we figured it was a one-time mess up on a busy Friday night type of thing. This was a not very busy looking Wednesday night and someone let that sloppy mess go out the door for that price and, sadly, let a couple of faithful customers go in the process...

Yelp
I liked the atmosphere, the Arnold Palmer was interesting, service was ok, I liked the crust of the pizza , but I did not like the pizza . It is a bit expensive , the stuffed chicken wing was ok but not as crisp or tasty as I hoped. I also tried a few he calzone it was way to much Doug and not enough filling . Interesting place but I won't be returning for a revisit.

Yelp
Was missing a pizza spot back home and stumbled across this place. Ordered a pepperoni, honey and ricotta pizza. The smaller size is decently priced and plenty of pizza to itch the craving. They also have salads that are served in bread bowls. The salads are yummy and the bread bowl is an added bonus. Service is excellent and informative of their menu options. Ambiance is your typical pizza parlor with fun riddles posted inside. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot.

Yelp
Picked up a Pepperoni w/black olives and calabrese pie, regular size. Service was good at the counter, quick in and out after I arrived at the time they told me to. Once I got it home, I was not disappointed in the slightest. Very flavorful sauce, crust was thin, and the whole bite was music to my ears. Only downside was I ate half of the pie before the wife got home, that didn't go over very well. Will def be back again!

Yelp
We order from here regularly. My favorite is the goat cheese, apricot jam, bacon and arugula pizza. It's amazing each and every time I order it. My husband and daughter always get the one with the most meat. I can't remember the name, but they never switch it up and are always pleased. Old School Pizzeria is consistent with all their foods. Consistently good!

Yelp
The ambiance and service were lovely. The pizza was pretty much meh, though. We are still trying to find a place to replace Northside Nathan's, which was our nearby favorite. I don't think this is the spot we are looking for, although another person might love the pizza!
