Seven Unusual Chinese New Year Snacks To Nibble On

"Old Seng Choong offers 10 varieties of cookies inspired by local food, with flavors such as cereal prawn and satay cookies. The cereal prawn cookie is studded with crunchy cereals and dried shrimps, while the satay cookie is full of chopped peanuts and spices like cumin and chili." - Kenneth Goh

Great tasting local flavoured cookies! I tried the Goreng Pisang which was quite average and requires more banana taste. The Cereal Prawn flavour was soooo GOOD, packed full with cereal flavour and you can also taste the prawn. Super addictive and legit to the name of the cookie! Will be back to try the Laksa, Satay and BKT flavour! Also a great gift idea for friends!

This is the earl grey cookie. Had it with and without tea. The cookies are addictive on their own. “If I go to heaven, they’d better serve this free flow” - my sister

Visited the store yesterday. Interesting array of goods with reasonably attractive packing. However the sole sales girl looked positively bored and served in a robotic manner. No attempt to do any sales pitch. Bought a Swiss roll which tasted so-so.

I've ordered "Dark chocolate Lava chiffon cake" from Food panda for $26.80. It came in with a bag of cold freezed chocolate bag and plain looking chiffon cake. I wasn't sure how to eat this, no instruction at all. This lava chiffon cake isn't what I've expected. Disappointed.

Classic Singaporean dishes turned into a wonderful assortment of sweet and savoury cookies. Laksa, bakkwa, cereal prawn, satay, Bak Kut Teh, just to name a few. A perfect gift or souvenir for anyone who misses Singaporean flavours. Comes in beautiful gift boxes and tins. A true Singaporean original.

Went to get some savoury coockies! The lady staff kindly offered various samples and luckily I could find what I was looking for. Spacious compated to MBS store.

Very well designed shop unit. Products are quite limited and quite pricey but the nice packaging makes them good gifts

Had been buying their Pineapple tarts for several years for own consumption and as gifts for my sis and relatives because they were so tasty. However this year, it was a great disappointment. The tart shell was salty as if we are eating chicken pie, and the worst part was the Pineapple fillings. Kept biting on crystallised sugar in it. Will never pay so much to buy something so under standard again.
