Celebrate Chinese New Year with these heritage icons - SilverKris

"A heritage bakery producing traditional kuehs and cakes since 1965, prized for premium ingredients, faithful techniques and balanced flavours. Signature items include the original layered kueh lapis and a prune kueh lapis studded with tart prune slivers, as well as a delicately flavoured pandan chiffon infused with gula melaka developed in collaboration with a chiffon cake expert." - Dinesh Ajith

The black bean salted egg yolk pastry is great. It's got this profound gentle sweetness. Very complex The wife biscuit is the best technically, thick filling, slightly gooey texture, not V sweet. Except for the pastry, which is still a little dry

Haven’t heard of Old Seng Choong before. Chanced upon it while walking in the basement of Paragon. Decided to buy the Lao Po Bing 老婆饼, charcoal egg tart and creme brûlée tart because they look so appetising. The taste is as good as they look!! 😋😋😋

Don’t miss Old Seng Choong if you’re hunting for beautifully presented Singaporean treats! I tried their egg tarts recently and they were honestly really delicious — rich, smooth, and had that perfect buttery crust. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the flavor and packaging. That said, the prices are on the higher side, so it feels more like a special occasion buy or a thoughtful gift rather than an everyday snack. Overall, a classy spot for premium local goodies that’ll definitely impress! Would totally recommend for souvenirs or celebrations.

love the local twist! The Pandan and Chocolate Orange cookies are so good, especially the Truffle Char Siew and Crème Brûlée tart!

Came to get the pandan chiffon cake - presentable packaging that is good for gifting. The cake is soft, spongy and moist. The flavor seemed to have a hint of coconut in my opinion. Saw the Creme brûlée egg tart on display and had to try it 😆 the consistency was indeed creamy like a creme brûlée! The crust was buttery and delicious. Service was cold but swift.

Old Seng Choong is one of my favourite pastry shops. I love their savoury and sweet pastries so much, especially their Crème Brûlée Tart – it literally melts in your mouth.

First time I bought pastries from OSC. I was in Orchard Road, checking out the Xmas lights, and came by Paragon Shopping Centre. I was attracted by the store front, so I entered and took a look around. In the end, I bought the truffle mushroom quiche, pastries with green tea, egg and red bean paste. I am a lover for truffle, and the truffle mushroom quiche tasted great. Do try out our Singapore Heritage Brand and good to buy for your loved ones.

Calls made to their stated mobile line number and office number goes unanswered even during their operating hours (no one calls back) and there has been no reply to emails even when you ask a simple question related to arranging a delivery. Due to this, delivery cut off time for same day delivery was exceeded and/or items are sold out. Very bad service. Their Pandan chiffon cake is too sweet and the chocolate chiffon cake is dry. The coconut chiffon cake is nicer but the service is horrendous hence not worth the trouble to purchase.
