I attended a plant swap event. I was taken back by this brewery ! It has a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with friends. Super knowledgeable and always happy to recommend a beer based on your preferences.

Great atmosphere and choice of beers! The customer service was excellent. We will definitely be back to relax and enjoy the brews. Thank you for thinking outside the box in naming your brewery. Love the name! It's personal, unique and catchy.

Old Sheepdog Brewery was so dog-friendly with places to sit both indoors and outdoors🐾 My humans loved the cream ales 🍻 as well as chips and salsa! There is so much local art displayed in and around the brewery including my favorite @ortegtino I 💗 EP balloon mural. Go check them out! -@brewskibrewreviews

Google
Great environment with beautiful vibe. Loved the options of food with the food trucks right outside. I wish the food trucks were not as loud or maybe if they’d play music there would be less noise. I truly enjoyed the place. The beer was good, not super memorable, but just nice.

Google
We recently stopped by for a few beers, we had been there previously when they had been serving tacos but were told they were now selling smash burgers! Smash burgers are a favorite of mine and they didn’t disappoint! The burgers were delightful and the chips that came with it complimented everything well. We’ve since told friends and family that have gone to try them and they were pleased as well!

Google
Old Sheepdog Brewery has some seriously great food to go along with their awesome beers. The burgers from the food truck are legit — super juicy and full of flavor. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out with friends, grab a drink, and enjoy some seriously good eats. Plus, Gus, the owner, is super friendly and always makes you feel welcome. He’s got a real passion for the place, and it shows in the atmosphere and the quality of everything they serve. Definitely worth checking out!

Google
Great space and friendly staff with both indoor and outdoor seating. This was my first stop after landing to wet my whistle after a long flight. The IPA was okay, not my favorite personally, but the vibes were good. I wish I had more time to sample some others. There were two food trucks out front for those hunger pains or to soak up that alcohol. Give them a visit!

Google
We visited Old Sheepdog Brewery on a Wednesday afternoon and enjoyed it so much we went back again the same evening with our dog for dinner. The brewmaster was friendly, super informative about the beers, the ingredients, and the upcoming events. We had dinner from one of the food trucks Starburgers which was very tasty!!! Highly recommend

Yelp
Friendly bartender, beers were good. Food was just ok. Got the tacos. Cool vibe. Parking is limited. Dog friendly.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! This is the perfect little brewery with something for everyone. I am not a beer drinker at all, but they have a chocolate and vanilla cream beer that are quite palatable. My sister loves a sour beer and was pretty happy with her selection as well. All the beer is brewed in house and with the brewery directly behind the art wall. This location has gorgeous local art on display, games and a super cute, super friendly cat that hangs out and will reward good scratches with licks and purrs. Absolutely loved finding this place.

Yelp
Such a fantastic spot all around. The beer was creative and delicious. The artwork all over sets such a cool vibe. The workers are very kind and fun to talk to!! Also, the locals were great! I wish I could take this brewery back home to my town. Thanks for a amazing experience :)

Yelp
Excellent beer, ambiance, vibes. Love this place! Make sure you try the Hazy IPA. In fact, anything you try is going to be damn good.

Yelp
I've been to Old Sheepdog a couple times now and enjoyed it every time we visited. They're dog and family friendly, so feel free to bring the whole fam. They even have a brewery cat. I really like that they have special releases for holidays and events, and they often have markets or music. For example, they had Green FKN Beer for St. Patrick's Day. They don't have a kitchen, but they usually have a food truck or two outside. Staff has always been super friendly and attentive, often walking around to check on customers. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the space itself is eclectically decorated. My only complaint is that sometimes the music is a bit loud, but maybe I'm just getting old haha. And in case you're anxious like me and want to know the parking situation, there is a parking lot on the side of the building.

Yelp
Great beer, dogs, awesome service by caring people, and all around good vibes. Don't think...just go and drink.

Yelp
The ambience/vibe of the bar is great for a dusty El Paso bar. You can almost hear Marty Robins ghost singing in wind. The beer was fine, no complaints. The food was atrocious and over-priced. I'm an old man and I'm sure that sometime in my life I must have had worse food at a more exorbitant price, but I can't recall when. It is an embarrassment, I could write a sad country song about it that would make you cry youself to sleep.

Yelp
Great beer, atmosphere, service, and art. I finally got to go, during this last trip.

Yelp
Great brewery that is evolving. Definitely worth checking out. The Hefe isn't as German as I'm used to, but it's not bad at all!
google avatar

Charlie F.

Yelp
The beer was good, but the atmosphere was fun and awesome. Seems like a great place to hangout.
google avatar

Yelp
Great beer and atmosphere. Recommend the Coffee Kolsch and the Pilsner beers. Looking forward to trying the rest of their offerings.

Yelp
El Pasos hidden Gem! Great atmosphere great staff great beer! They don't serve food in this place but the Taco truck is just a few feet away!!

Yelp
Really cool place with plenty of comfortable seating and beautifully displayed art. Bartender was warm and inviting. The two 915 lagers we ordered were delicious! They do not serve food but there is access to a food truck in the parking lot.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Great beer as well as both indoor and outdoor space! Also, the taco food truck...totally worth the wait to get some! Amazing flavors and just absolutely delicious!

Adrian M.

Yelp
Spontaneity led us to the most unforgettable date night at this brewery! Three board games, countless laughs, and amazing ambience was truly one for the books. The asada quesadilla with its mouthwatering sides elevated our taste buds to a whole new level. Now let's talk about the ales - the brown, red, and crème ales were like a symphony of flavors, each sip a new delightful note. Without a doubt, this brewery has claimed the title of my absolute favorite in El Paso!

Yelp
I enjoyed everything about my recent visit to Old Sheep Dog Brewery. I had it in my Yelp bookmarks for quite awhile. The vibe I got from being there was chill/relaxed. I always prefer being at places like that. I attended a networking event. (Which was fun by the way, I got to meet some professionals in the area.) The networking event was planned by Thrive Food Fest. Dan Morales is in charge of these networking events and...him and many others plan on hosting the Thrive Food Festival in June 2022. Look for them on Facebook and/or Instagram for more deets. Going back to Old Sheep Dog... Gus (the main owner) along with two other employees were all kind and helpful. A female employee kept checking on me to see if I was ok and needed another beer or water. She was really friendly. If I remember correctly, they revamped an older building from the 30's. They did a great job with it. I'll have to go back and take more photos and try more beer! There's also cool art to look at inside and outside. I also look forward to checking out the nearby art gallery, Galería Lincoln. Old Sheepdog has a large patio area. They don't serve food but often host popups with local food trucks. There's live music at times. Their beer menu changes from time to time. I tried a sherbet flavored beer and it was really good. It was light and tart. It had a little bit of sweetness. Best of all, it went down smoothly. I'm not a fan of dark beer so I didn't try any of those. I'm always looking for the sweetest beer whenever I'm at a brewery. I look forward to coming back soon! I had a great time! Check it out and let's support local!

Yelp
Limited beer selection, and tablets that don't seem to work even tho that's how you are supposed to get an order through. Please for the love of everything holy fix the AC, i wanted to spend a nice time in there not have to feel like I'm dehydrating. Also their free water was out so that's a plus. I feel i went on an off day but maaaan, that was too off. Doubt I'll walk into the brewery again, unless Star Burgers makes me do so.

Yelp
My husband found this place when I was out of town; it was closed. We are here now and excited that it's rather busy! They were out of one of their iPA's. Their beers list is short and sweet! The beers are great. Very nice indoor and outdoor area. One table had food, and. A food truck was parked in front though the side of the truck was closed. We'll come back for sure! We wouldn't have found it without GPS! Gus, the owner came by and chatted. Such a great guy, and he truly enjoys his customers. The food truck...ran out of food! They are open Wednesday thru Sunday. Stop by for a beer or two!! Thank you, Gus for talking with us.

Yelp
Brewery's are hard to rate because we have very different preferences when it comes to craft beer. Most of the beers I tasted were very sour, too hoppy, or heavy on the grain. It is a very nice place though. Love the old building that has been artfully restored, this place elevated the neighborhood. Instead of an old sheepdog you will be greeted by a friendly black cat. The art is local and plentiful. One thing I look for is cleanliness, and this place could use some work. I would recommend trying this place out for yourself, you just might love it.

Yelp
Great art, friendly staff, decent beer, and lovely outdoor beer garden. They had two of their own beers on tap, the about 6 other beets. They also offer wine and soda. Located on an industrial street. Parking available on street and in a lot.
google avatar

Gilbert S.

Yelp
They do well on their build-up but need a consistent menu or food options. The beer is fine as it should be, and the location is alright. It requires consistent food. Sometimes the food is there, and sometimes it's not. I want to avoid going to enjoy a drink and then find out I can't eat. Rookie mistake I think they can recover from.

Yelp
Let's start with the pros (hence the 3 stars). The location is awesome simply because it's away from the busy places and there's plenty of parking which is a plus. The setup, decor, idea is amazing. The space is very cool, open, spacious and you don't feel crowded in. The art is also great and they appear to be dog friendly. They also have window setups where the brewing happens - real cool. Now...there were 3 people total behind the counter. Of the 3 people, only who I assume is the owner was welcoming, talkative, excited! The other guy seemed annoyed, unenthusiastic, mad (if he was tired well...you gotta fake it til you make it). The young lady helping us out wasn't much help. I asked her what she recommended (I like to test people on their knowledge or willingness to recommend), all she could really say is to get a flight, not exactly what I wanted to hear . The selection is minimal on beers, the flights are $14 for 4 samples (out of the 6 they offer). I personally think a $14 flight is a little much. My least favorite was the hibiscus beer (I got more of an apple cider vinegar taste), my favorite was the coffee one (Rhiannon I think is the name). It's a new and upcoming place and I hope they get their staff excited and welcoming and perhaps more willing to recommend or explain the beers. I'll probably be back just to see how they've progressed. I definitely love me a good brewery and I hope they end up becoming that eventually.

Yelp
Their IPA is quite possibly the worst beer I have ever tasted. Do not order. If you try to return it. They will shame you. Also a brewery with only 4 beers on tap is a disgrace. Go to deadbeach 100x better.
google avatar

Scott A.

Yelp
Cool place with friendly staff. The artwork on the walls were very cool (and some are for sale). The beer was awesome and affordable. I will definitely be going back.
google avatar

Yelp
Always a good place to have a few beers. They have a lot of different events, always something going on.

Daniel M.

Yelp
The new bartenders were very rude to my girlfriend. We were the only black people at the brewery that night. Very surprised as the owner is always so kind to me. If you an incel that's cool, but don't be taking it out on ransom women.

Ronald J.

Yelp
Crazy friendly owner and staff. great beer and great ambiance. Best place I've been to in a long time.
google avatar

Corey L.

Yelp
I'm not a beer snob, but let's be real, if your tap lines are dirty or the beer is stale, craft brew drinkers will notice. Much like if your IPA is merely a piss-poor lager you double-hopped to hide the taste. Neighborhood might feel industrial, but this brewery is an adorable oasis amongst the cinder block buildings and shipping containers. The outdoor seating area is open and comfortable, looks like it would be a great place to hang out on a warm summer night. I walked in and was hit by a wave of glorious brewing smells. The thick, heavy smell of fresh wort brought back many home brewing sessions. The interior is small but has a nice field. I tried an Octoberfest ( in my mind an all year brew) and a fantastic rye. Both had great flavor, the octoberfest was a perfect mix of malty sweetness and hoppy flavors, and the rye had a head on it that clung yo the sides of the glass. Fantastic place for good beer. Not sure of the food menu but there are a couple of food trucks out in front that look semi-permanent.
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
Beer is only so so. Seems like they've focused too much on really specialized beers (ie. A Clamato-style beer) at the expense of of some solid foundational beers. Location is a little out of the way, but the building itself is really nice.

Yelp
Never been here before and decided to take some friends that came in from out of town to check it out. I would say I would rate this place, meh at the most. What stood out from the visit was that I went in to the front upon arriving and there seemed to be about 5 employees catering to a camera crew that was recording that a customer. Now I get it, they were attending to the camera crew 1st so I waited patiently. But after 5 minutes and making eye contact with all the employees as the walked by me, the camera guy (out of all people) asks if I was a customer and if I needed help. I said I was a customer and no one had helped me yet. He took his camera away and said sorry. I told him not to apologize since he was 1st. I had to ask if we could sit outside with dogs and was told we could. After sitting outside for a while, I had to come inside and ask for menus since it was apparent we weren't going to get help. Seemed from outside that everyone was behind the counter setting up shelving or something or another. Finally after getting menus someone came out to take our order. THE only time someone came out quickly and expeditedly was to secure a credit card for a tab. So they rushed to ask for payment but not to help, lol. Go figure. We got waters and my Cider but that's as it for help. At no point did no one ask if we needed anything else nor to ask if we wanted anything else. However they did come out quickly for a credit card ‍‍. Seems like a cool spot with good reviews but unfortunately I didn't get good service. Actually barely got any service. Probably won't return or recommend ‍

Yelp
Fabulous beer and service. The atmosphere and ambiance is very eclectic. A little out of the way but worth the trip

Yelp
So we did not realize they are opened Thursday-Sunday only, BUT we showed up as the owner was going out to his vehicle and dude could not have been nicer. Explained what days they were open and then asked to come in and grab a beer anyway. Place is amazing. Decor is awesome and beer is super on point. Had their Double IPA 12% with 4 different types of hops. It went down so good. Super easy to drink, great taste. Not overly bitter and can really taste the malt. Great hospitality, great beer. This is a great local brewery to check out.

John R.

Yelp
Good times, Good brews. They say a great drinking establishment can't be built they have to be aged into. I agree, but the Old Sheepdog is well on it's way like a fine wine or whiskey. Vince was an excellent server and DJ no doubt.

Yelp
EP's newest brewery! I've talked to the owner on the phone and texted with him also. He's super friendly. He's done a great job with the place, I imagine prior it was probably just a hole in the building. A bit chilly during the winter as it's all concrete but I'd imagine during the summer it's going to be pretty awesome outside. Beer is super solid and starting 2nd week of Feb 2020, he texted me that he's going to start selling his beers in growlers i.e. you'll be able to bring your own and he'll fill it. The music was a little louder than my tastes, but I maybe I could have asked them to turn it down? I unfortunately didn't meet the owner yet, I'd love to but there's still time and more beer to drink.

Yelp
Visited again today for a Vegan Comfort Food event they sponsored. At least a hundred local neighborhood residents were there. I LOVE the fact that local breweries sponsor community events to bring the local community together for food, beer and friendship. It was like a huge block party. Old Sheep Dog is now one of my fav breweries in El Paso. Keep up the good work.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Oof! So very thankful that El Paso is getting new spots like this! We need this. The atmosphere was perfect and so cozy. The couches we so comfy and very chic. The vibes in this bar were everything and I enjoyed the local art displayed on the brick walls. The workers were so accommodating and gave us great beer suggestions. I want to say the owner came by and made time to chat and give us a sample. That was so appreciated. The selection was a little small (more stouts please) but hey I'm excited to see what this place has in store! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Daniel J.

Yelp
This was a great small brewery, lot of different beers to try. Unfortunately they do not serve food but normally there is a food truck out front.
google avatar

Rose W.

Yelp
Found this jewel in El Paso when we attended open mic. This place is super dog friendly. Had a fun time on the patio and inside. Love the vibe and atmosphere here. Will definitely come back for more!

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Good atmosphere but no air conditioning and super packed. We watched a comedy show there and it was horrible the comedians were good but so unorganized. It was extremely hot, they were setting up as we were already seated. No lights at their bar. Really limited selection. The comedians also complained and didn't want to stay long because of the heat.

T B.

Yelp
Great service. Plenty of beers to choose from no matter what you like. Had a duck taco and it (ok all 4 of them) were amazing!! Super solid.

Daniel C.

Yelp
The concept is great, however they only have one of their beers on tap, not really good, and no shirts or memorabilia. Sorry folks I can't come back.
google avatar

Diane C.

Yelp
Every single beer on the menu was amazing. The owner, Gus, even took time to meet us. The artwork in the building is incredible. Great beers and a great atmosphere. This is definitely my new El Paso favorite!

Jose C.

Yelp
Brewery is just starting but the current beers on tap are great! I was honored to be the first customer to try out El Brujo beer, or was a great beer!
google avatar

Johnny R.

Yelp
Awful beer for how small their selection is. The space is great but the product needs to match it.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Atmosphere and beer is on point! Don't let the surrounding neighborhood alarm you.. this definitely a diamond in the rough!

Yelp
Went for the first time after discovering this place through an instagram post. You walk in and see this huge comfortable area. With long tables, couches, high top tables, and of course the bar top. The staff quickly greeted us and explained what beers they currently have on tap. My first choice was the un-hireable a heavy IPA. It was very good and quite enjoyable. The next one I got was the red ale, can't remember the name. But also very good and you could taste the roasted barley. While looking around there was some very cool local artwork on the walls and you could see into the tap room where all the beer was being made. It's still working a few things out, they said hopefully eight beers will be on constant tap. At the moment they had four and were probably going to sell out two of them the next day. They are brewing as much as they can but the demand is higher than the supply at the moment. I'm really happy they are located central and will be frequently coming back to this place to support it and enjoy the good craft beers!
