Old Town Kitchen and Cocktails Brings Old Favorites to Rock Hill | Eater Carolinas

"Opened by chef Chris Coleman as part of a post‑COVID expansion across the state line, this restaurant occupies a charming old mill space in a technological park in Rock Hill and was leased in December 2020 with plans finalized by February for a May opening. The concept is “authenticity elevated,” aiming to revive the warm, neighborhood dining experiences of Coleman’s youth—servers who know your name, straightforward comfort cooking—and to dress that nostalgia up just enough to feel special. The menu leans into shareable, Southern‑inspired plates such as barbecue pork rinds with French onion dip and a whipped pimento cheese ball served with Triscuits and pickles, alongside burgers, sandwiches, salads and a rotating “meat and veggie” plate that has featured fried catfish, country fried steak and beer‑can chicken. The overall vibe is fun and familiar but polished, selling a sense of comfort and repeatability that has resonated with locals." - Sam Slaughter

I really enjoyed my first visit with my significant other. The atmosphere was great. There were big screen TVs for us to watch Sunday football while we enjoyed our meal. We were able to have wonderful conversations without straining to hear each other or feel like other guests were listening. The food was delicious. We started with Bang Bang Brussel Sprouts. Neither of us could stop eating it until it was gone. Absolutely delicious! He enjoyed his Parmesan ranch chicken and I enjoyed my salad topped with chicken. The chicken was so well seasoned and moist that I didn’t want to put salad dressing on it out of fear the dressing would ruin my salad. I seriously did not put dressing on my salad! The service was good. We had a little wait for our meals. However, there were two big tables with diners from the gymnastics competition. We both agreed that we will definitely return with family and friends. Really enjoyed our meal and our time together here. I also tried the warm banana pudding. Unfortunately, it was not a hit with me. I didn’t like the warmth and I really missed the vanilla wafers and sliced bananas in cool pudding. I’m glad I tried it though 🙂

This place use to be excellent for food and drinks. Our food was okay- got the fried tomato BLT that I typically get- burnt bacon, mushy greens and bread, and much smaller. They typically have a variation of a flavored margarita on the menu, but there was no option on it or at the bar per the server. We tried another drink, but it was disappointing as well. It’s disappointing to come to a place you frequent as much as you can given needing babysitters or coming out for a special occasion.

Google
Very disappointed with the CF Steak. Two small bites of steak and a ton of breading on a mound of unseasoned mashed potatoes. I thought it came with Brussels but got cabbage, which was fine but unexpected. I didn't understand that it already came with potatoes so I picked them as my side and received a quart of them along with what was with the steak. Ordered on Doordash.

We were Christmas shopping in the area and searched for a new restaurant and found a real treasure in “Old Town.” I love a restaurant where everything is off the charts great. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent - the bbq sauce was well mixed into the pork vs squirted on top. The fries that came with it were the thin, crunchy, and perfectly salted kind…. No need for ketchup! I also ordered the autumn veggie as a side dish and I’d give my lottery tickets to get the recipe…. Guess I’ll just have to come back often. My wife had the coconut milk chicken soup and she described new flavors that One just can’t imitate! The former chef and now general manager came out to share that his mother-in-law gave family secrets on this over the top Thai recipe. Excellent!! What else can I say except these people deserve to be sold out at every meal, get in before the word spreads! We will be back!

Our first experience here was wonderful. Such a fun gem to find. Amber, our server, was personable and helped with all of our questions. The food was as fantastic as the service was! We will definitely be back.

The host was on the phone when we arrived. She immediately acknowledged us and offered us seating at a high top. We asked for something different. She said all the tables were full. They were not. We said we would wait and asked how long. Instead of giving us a wait time she asked if we wanted the private booth on the side. We said yes and she said our server would be with us. We waited 5 minutes without anyone. The hostess was setting up another table and asked if we’ve been served. We had not. She said our server probably forgot but she would remind her. Within 45 seconds Molly showed up. She apologized. We asked her how her day has been going and she was shocked that we asked. She got us our drinks and gave us excellent suggestions on drinks and food. Apps came out before the alcohol and we were very surprised that they came out so fast. All of the food was out super fast. The food was REALLY amazing! Chicken was moist and tender with great flavoring. I’m not a tomato fan, but cooked perfect. Loved all the food. Dessert was hot and delicious. Love the atmosphere and decor. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back.

First time trying Old Town Kitchen and Cocktails, it was delicious! I had the blackened chicken salad, the spicy Caesar dressing really set it off! Our server Amir was so friendly and attentive! Will definitely be back. Very cool atmosphere 😎

Google
Me and a co worker stopped in for lunch this afternoon. I had the Bloody Mary Shrimp & Grits. The grits weren't bad, just not the flavor I'm use to when having shrimp and grits. My co worker had the Classic Burger. He said it was delicious. The atmosphere, and service at the bar was exceptional!

Yelp
We ordered the Brussels and the bang bang chicken sandwich. Food was very good and came out quickly. Amanda was the bar tender and she held great conversation and gave great service. Very quiet place.

Yelp
Second time there and was looking for a better experience than the first visit ( not impressed with food or service). Again food was not impressive. Service was decent as we had a big group. Won't go again when in the area.

Yelp
We are not familiar with Rock Hill so keep our eyes open was we roam around for places that we might want to visit. Earlier attending a conference in the Technology Center we spied signs for Old Town and today went in to find it. The former factory is very much a museum with vendor businesses. It is cavernous in size, very high ceilings and a lot of windows. Formerly a factory that produced automobiles and those displays are fascinating. Worth a visit sometime. Old Town Kitchen and Cocktails is a bar and large sitting areas. Brandon B. was our server and her walked us through the lunch menu and specials. A very Southern flair and it was very good. Wife had a Fried Green BLT ($14) which she really liked. I had a very delicious Creamy Coconut Chicken Soup ($12) which was so rich that I could not finish it, mostly because I had a grilled cheese sandwich ($5) add on. Very interesting place, known by many, so is popular. Bar was very busy for weekend lunch. We will be back.

Yelp
I have this restaurant marked for sometime and yesterday we finally had a chance to try it. It's a bit hard to find as the door is kinda on the side, but we didn't give up. Once inside, the atmosphere and decor are pretty and comfortable. We set closer to the bar and enjoyed the big screens going from MMA to basketball. Our server was super attentive and got us our drinks and orders. We started with the shrimp curry toast that came pretty fast grilled to perfection over a toasted baguette with a delicious sauce. What a nice surprise! I wish they had more on the plate. I ordered the BLT as it had pickled fried green tomatoes! I'm crazy about it! lf I see it on the menu I'll always choose it. The sandwich was so good. The pasta I'll assume was delish as my husband ate it all without a chance for me to try it. We finished with their banana pudding that was also delicious and had me wishing the portion was a bit bigger. I'm coming back with my friends!

Yelp
Love love love! The service was superb even for our party of 6! Henry took great care of us! The restaurant was in a well done industrial setting and was just big enough but felt small and quaint at the same time! I enjoyed every appetizing bite of our bang bang roasted brussel sprouts and my entree of parmesan chicken with asparagus and garlicky mashed potatoes. My favorite part though was spending time without being rushed with my lovely friends and family! Thanks for making our Saturday evening trip to Rock Hill worth it!

Yelp
Ambience was nice but bartender was a grumpy jerk and the food was bland. That guy needs a lesson in hospitality.

Yelp
Located in a renovated building directly across from a free parking deck. Walked in the back door and found my way to the hostess stand where I was sat at the bar. After a long drive in traffic I was ready for a beer and meal.Despite a plethora of cars in the deck this place had a plenty of open tables. The bar stills are high back leather and very comfortable. I had 3 tvs to choose from all of which had some sports channel. I ordered an Allagash White, which is one my favorite beers from Maine. Started with a shaken fry bag with garlic parm. and a caesar salad to start. For an entree I ordered the ranch Parmesan chicken with mash potatoes. Sipping my beer while waiting for my appetizer and entree..... Fries and salad came out at the same time as requested! fries came with garlic parm "shake shake" spice in a brown paper bag. I alway enjoy warm fries on a salad. For main course I order their ranch parm chicken which came with mash potatoes, asparagus, and this taste, spicy chimichurri sauce that enhanced the meal. There were 2 chicken breasts that were grilled to perfection. I would have appreciated a bit more asparagus with the meal. With that said, the portion of mash potatoes was huge. I sat and ate this entire meal and at the end was in the clean plate club. This restaurant is located in an area of RH in a renovated building that will soon draw huge crowds. For now, get in and try this gem located on the opposite side of Rock Hill from Main St. for a get meal and atmosphere. Thanks!

Yelp
How has this been on my list, in my backyard and it's the first time I've been! I've been missing out. This place is so cute and has a welcoming atmosphere. Walked in and was greeted right away. The server we had was really sweet and friendly.the food was really good. Everything had so much flavor and the Shaken Parm fries were the best I've had anywhere. Country fried steak was soft and full of flavor. Whipped potatoes and sautéed Brussels were the perfect pairing. So good!

Yelp
Our new favorite spot in Rock Hill . Food was wonderful - service was excellent (Waylon was our server and he is a country gentleman) . They have a beautiful patio so we get to bring our dogs with us - which is our favorite hobby. Great vegetarian options. Highly recommended.

Yelp
What a find. We were lucky to get a table at this local, comfortable establishment. Started with Roasted Tomatoe Soup. Fabulous. creamy with a hint of spice. Burgers were meaty and done to perfection. My husband really enjoyed the pot pie. Different spin with the crust top. He's a fanatic with pot pies and he was loving it. Just a good size, too
google avatar

Yelp
Overall this is a nice restaurant with a flair type of menu in my opinion. We had a medium size group and got our appetizers pretty quickly . The shrimp toast had a good spice & flavor . However after appetizers our time at the restaurant went downhill . We waited over 40 minutes with no food being brought out and when it was everything was lukewarm. The flavor was there but just cold. Our server did the best she could have done but maybe they were just short staffed ! Overall would try again .

Yelp
I've been here twice and had a great experience both times! Wish they were better known! Patty melt & chicken sandwich were delicious. The only thing I didn't love was the Caesar salad, it was served warm and was VERY fishy. Highly recommend the fry bag! Servers and hosts are great as usual. Really hope this place takes off more once there are more businesses in that building.

Yelp
Really nice looking restaurant. Use of space and look was very appealing. Ambient noise was pleasant and not too loud. We could hear one another clearly. Bang Bang Brussels (Sprouts)) appetizer was perfect. Very tasty and delicious. My wife and I both ordered the Salt & Pepper Fried Flounder. Though tasty we were a bit underwhelmed. The fish portion was quite small while there were perhaps too much of the sides (neither of us finished them). Service was good and attentive. Wasn't a busy night (mid-week) but I suspect service is good any night. I'd like to give the restaurant a 4 star rating but I didn't see the value based on portion size (the fish specifically).

Yelp
Food was really tasteful with a decent portion size. Overall good ambiance and vibes inside the restaurant. The price is kind of steep for the portion sizes you get, but I would order an extra app to fill the belly a bit for us bigger guys. Overall great experience. Please order the bang bang Brussels , these are delicious , the sauce is like a spicy mayo and goes great with them.

Yelp
In town for a tournament at the Sports and Events Center - super convenient location to pre-game. Good food and drinks but service was definitely overwhelmed.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch. I read Yelp reviews and ordered the brussel sprouts and chicken sandwich. Both were very over fried. The brussel sprouts had a charred, burnt taste that lasted hours afterward. You can see from the photo attached how black they were. The sandwich lost any juiciness from being over fried and the breading was a bit hard. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. I didn't bother to complain because I didn't plan to return. This place is far for me to travel, so I wouldn't likely be back in the area anyway. I really enjoyed the virgin BlackBerry mule for $6. It was in a smaller copper cup then usual, but the flavor was great. My friend got the corn chowder and liked it. It was beautifully presented. She also enjoyed her chicken and beet salad. The decor is casual and I loved the antique cars and Rock Hill history in the hallway. It's an ok place to visit, but I wouldn't hurry back based on the food.

Yelp
Beautiful old location in the historical old mill/factory section of Rock Hill. My wife and I attended brunch on Easter Sunday here and both enjoyed it very much. She fell in love with the pulled pork, hash and raved on it about it for hours (everything is better with a fried egg on top exclamation point). I had the chicken biscuit with white gravy. It was very good, but would've liked to have seen a little more seasoning on the chicken. We shared a carafe of mimosas and that my friends is how to start a great day! Recommended and well will be back.
google avatar

Carlos G.

Yelp
Cool spot in Rock Hill! The restaurant is in an old factory building so there's big windows and tall ceilings, as well as a cool exhibit about the history of the building down the hall. More importantly, though, the food is great. I love a good chicken fried steak (at least that's what we call it in Texas) so I had to try the country fried steak. They may not technically be the same thing, but regardless the country fried steak was delicious. And try the warm banana pudding. So good.
google avatar

April H.

Yelp
When we arrived it was super crazy busy but I can see why. Parking is also kind of a pain so be prepared. The restaurant was full but we were able to grab spots at the bar since people were leaving as we arrived. Service at the bar was great. The restaurant is pretty but also very loud. Drinks were good and so was the food. The burger was fantastic and I also loved the brussel sprouts. I will be back to try more items next time I'm over in that part of town.

Yelp
Nice spot, good service , good food. We stayed at cambria hotels and this restaurant was about 2 blocks away .

Yelp
First time here and it was delicious! From start to end. Cocktails were on point. The Bang Bang Cauliflower was absolutely delicious. The salad and soup was good as well. The main dishes the Ranch Crusted Chicken and the Country Fried Steak was also very delicious. Service was great, Max was our server and he was great, and super friendly. Made our visit very enjoyable. He brought over water for our dog which he enjoyed. The patio was nice and quiet and enjoyable. We will be back this is added to our rotation!

Yelp
For the first time, I was disappointed with this restaurant. :( We went on a Saturday night, and it was fairly busy. Still, we were seated right away. Sadly, here come the disappointments. I asked for this creamy-looking Kentucky Coffee, as pictured in Yelp. Well, they no longer carried it...so asked if they can do the same with Irish Coffee...with Whipped Cream. Well, that coffee was a Dud. There was only a touch of Whipped Cream...which all melted by the time it was delivered to the table, for one. I asked if they can add a bit more Whipped Cream...and was told they had no more (HUH? No readily available Whipped Cream at a restaurant on a Saturday night?!?). Also, the coffee was so strong, I could barely drink it. Luckily, our waitress was nice enough to take it back to the kitchen...and did not charge me for it. Given how she handled my disappointment with this coffee, I would have just let this go...without deducting any stars. However, the disappointments continued. Although the Brussel Sprouts were still good, our entrees were just off. Since I raved about the Bang Bang Chicken last time,, my husband ordered that...but it didn't quite live up to the standards that I had. It was poorly presented, for one. The bread didn't seem as good this time...and there were just less flavoring on it. My entree, Creole Chicken Linguine, didn't taste remotely Cajun. The Chicken was so bland ...nothing "blackened" about it. Also the Creole sauce was quite weak. Honestly, it tasted more like some Italian pasta dish. The foods weren't bad, but just not great this time around. BTW, I even noticed that some of our plates were cracked. Lastly, the music overhead was off as well. It was like this Top 40 and/or some generic rock music...which didn't suit the classy "library motif" ambiance of this restaurant. I actually really love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's so lofty, spacious, and elegant...in a casual way. Still, I think this is probably one of the nicer restaurants in Rock Hill. Yet, I noticed a lot of (ALL?) diners in sweats and baseball caps....basically the same dress code as what you'd find at Hooters. (No reflection on the restaurant here...but just an observation of the local diners) One other thing positive I can add for this otherwise sour dining experience was that our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and did a great job. Everything felt more casual...more substandard than usual. Quality control seemed a bit off...in the presentation of foods, cracked dishes, absence of condiments (like whipped cream!), etc.etc. Maybe they have new management? This was my fave restaurant in Rock Hill, but if this is the new norm, not likely to be. Guess I'll give it another try in the future, and see if this Saturday night was a fluke?

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner after almost 8 hours on the road. We were only inside briefly as we opted to sit outside; looked clean. There were around 10 tables on the patio; the needed a wipe down, but otherwise, the area was cute. Our server, Kaylee, was very friendly. I'd say service was a tad on the slow side, but it was close to closing time & I think she was the only server on duty. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time, piping hot. Hubby got the Country Fried Steak and loved it. My son got The Melt; said it was OK, but would have been great with a sauce. I got the Grilled Chicken Melt & my daughter got the Chicken Tenders; both pretty good. If we were local, we'd likely be back to try other things.

Yelp
Ever had a dirty rock in your drink? Didn't think that was a thing till last night at Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails. UPDATE the manager Chris reached out to make things right. I was offered a full refund as well as a free meal on the house but I was fine with just the refund. Thankful there are people who care for the customer this much still. I've been here twice with friends and my family wanted to try something new so I brought them here hoping for a great night and yummy meal. We were seated and brought our waters out. After ordering, my cousin noticed a rock in his drink after drinking it. I told the waitress who told a lady with brown hair who might've been the manager but she wasn't even sorry. She just shrugged it off and the young waitress got us a new one. We could've choked on it/swallowed it or made a big deal in the restaurant because why would there ever be a dirty rock in the water, but we didn't and continued in with our meal. They brought out burnt focaccia bread to us and forgot our other order of pasta (the waitress apologized for that) but they didn't burn the bread on that one. I don't understand how the chef can toast the bread to burn, the server seeing the meal, serve burnt bread and think it's acceptable especially after they didn't burn the second order. My mother brought it to the waitresses attention and asked for a new one. Plus, you'd think you pay extra to eat here for better quality food, no rocks in your water, and service but I guess that's just not the case. Overall the Brussels sprouts are good, the pasta was okay, the prickly pear drink is good but the foods more expensive and The Flipside Cafe is better. My last two times didn't have problems (except the warm banana pudding was too sour so I don't recommend it) and my last two waitresses were much nicer. The guy manager was nice I guess they must have new staff.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
Give it time. They are trying. Still new operations struggles you'd expect? We tried the bar, eh...try the tables? Food okay, service okay, ambiance is on point.
google avatar

Britanny T.

Yelp
Are you saying the ambience is really beautiful and the waitress was fantastic but unfortunately the meatballs were salty I did learn I found a new drink that I adore which is Fire ball and sqrrrl. I don't think we've ever had an experience with a waitress that was so pleasant lol she and the decor are the only reasons why this is a five star. Also we ordered the chicken tenders and the chicken tenders were actually very above average! I didn't even get a photo of them you get four about palm sized ones with slaw in the appetizer
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely evening. The restaurant was busy, but not too busy for a Friday evening. My friend and I were seated quickly. Mya, our waitress took our drink order then gave us a few minutes to review the menu. I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta dish. My friend had the steak frites and be both had the chopped salad. Wonderful meal. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
What an amazing establishment within the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center building! I got the fried green tomato BLT. Delectable fried tomatoes with thick cut savory bacon on a thick Texas style toast. Served with the crunchiest fries. For an appetizer we had the bang bang Brussels. Crunchy, savory, with a little bit of spice. The friendliest servers and hostesses. Everyone was so grateful we came in and always said "We appreciate you." We sat outside because the weather was so nice and got to people watch. If you're at Rock Hill for a basketball tournament, definitely check this place out! No photos. Will get some next time I'm here.

Yelp
Walked in to the restaurant and it was very loud because there were a couple of big parties, around 20 people each. We were seated right away. The waitress was busy we ordered drinks and apps right away. Apps shrimp toast and Brussels sprouts. Shrimp toast was ok nothing really stood out. I was two pieces of bread with 6-7 shrimp The Brussel sprouts were really good. They had a mellow flavor that was a bit sweet and tangy. Finally we were able to order dinner. The Classic is as good. It was a 1/3 pound but didn't seem like it. The melt was good. It was filling and really juicy. The shoestring fries had a good flavor but a tad much salt. The duck and dumplings was tasty. The sauce enhanced the flavor of the duck. The vegetables went well with the flavors being presented. Wish it would have been a little more filling. This meal is rated a four star because it was so good, from someone who has never had duck. Chicken linguine was tasty. It had a bit of a kick and the flavor flowed through. The thing I felt it was missing was some sort of vegetable, asparagus, tomatoes or spinach. I think would have added but it was good. We also tried the corn chowder. As you can see it is dark not the traditional cream or yellow color. The soup was lacking. It was missing a key ingredient. None of us would eat it. The waitress was overwhelmed and it showed throughout service. She didn't really pay too much attention to our table. The bartender did come around and help out and she was who saved the experience from being terrible.

Deborah H.

Yelp
Food selection was just right, not too many choices but not too few either. We got there at 11:30 for lunch and were offered our choice of booth or table. The waitress checked on us at least 4 times during our visit. Even gave me a to-go cup for my iced tea.

Cheryl S.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch on Saturday December 28. Had a fabulous server named Waylon Jennings. He was able to help me make a decision between two entrees and he was right on the money as it was very, very delicious. He kept an eye out for us making sure our drinks were filled and that we had everything we needed. The place was very clean, great decor and reasonably priced. I will definitely visit this restaurant again! Five stars
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
Food: 2 had burgers - no seasoning and extremely dry and bland 0/5 1 had grilled chicken sandwich- a little dry but overall good 3/5 All came with fries 4/5 Ambiance- park in the garage beside the building and get your ticket validated. Nice decor and reasonable size. Service- no issues, we had good service Two stars mainly because the quality of the food and the cost did not match up. Two party members were very unhappy with their food.

Yelp
Mother's Day Weekend visit. Loved the dining room but the food was average. My flounder was delicious but at $24 I expect more than one filet and a bowl of polenta/black eyed peas (which was good, to be fair). Drink was ok (forget what I ordered). One kid's "Standard" burger was actually pretty good. The others' pasta was peppery, came with unremarkable grilled chicken...mom's summer salad was fine but the grilled chicken she added remained unremarkable. I'd go back for a second try though - wings sounded good, bar was nice. Service was good.

Yelp
We visited Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails on April 8. This was my 2nd time visiting them. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Flounder with Heirloom Grits and pickled peas w/ no tomatoes. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was delightful. I was concerned when my fish came out on my grits. I was thinking it was going to make my fish soggy, but it didn't. My hubby ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich and fries and he said, it was really good. The bbq sauce was a cheerwine sauce that was quite tasty. Or server really knew the menu which made it a plus and she kept our drinks full. Our food was served nice and hot so that was a plus! We had a pleasant experience but the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I've been here twice and each time they have said they validate parking, but I still end up paying the $5 for parking.
google avatar

Shani S.

Yelp
I was drawn here because I saw that they served warm banana pudding, and boy, it was everything I hoped it would be! The grilled chicken melt was also delicious! Our waitress was the only one working, but she provided top-notch service. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the music was great as well. Overall, this place is AWESOME! I will definitely be back!

Jim T.

Yelp
Start with ambiance. Place is large, open, and noisy. One whole side is floor-to-ceiling windows. Afternoon/evening sun is brutal. Service was just ok-nothing special. I had country fried steak with white gravy, which came with whipped potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts/black-eyed peas. Couldn't find the potatoes. Steak had so much breading I could barely find it in there. Wife ordered steak and fries, steak medium rare, but it was medium. We were in a group of nine and a mandatory 18% gratuity was added. Overall, probably twice the cost of a regular restaurant in the area. Won't go back.

Yelp
Had a great experience here...Stopped in before bartending a play at Winthrop....so was in a hurry....they took great care of us and served up some high quality food. As nice of a spot as Rock Hill has to offer. Food is high quality and would be 2x more expensive in Charlotte....great atmosphere...1st class, nice selection at the bar as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is always awesome here! And service is always top notch whether it's packed or slow. My go to when I want great food and a great atmosphere. Got the linguine and chicken tenders as well as brussels and fry bag and everything was perfect. Kassy was AMAZING!!! Thank you again

Yelp
The Goodyear House is one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte, so since they opened this place, I've been dying to try it. We made a reservation for restaurant week and the regular menu looked so good that we ended up ignoring the restaurant week menu. We went with friends and got some appetizers to share which I highly recommend doing to try more than just your entrees. We tried: - Bang Bang Brussels - New Alwins Shrimp Toast - Pull-Apart Reuben Sliders - Caramel Pork Shoulder - Pulled Pork Melt with creamy mac & cheese They knocked it out of the park. The appetizers were the star of the show in my opinion. The sliders were not your average reuben which is why I loved them. The marinated kale on them was phenomenal. The Brussels were the best I've ever had with that bang bang sauce. I wanted to ask for a spoon to drink the sauce of the shrimp toast. I loved both entrees, but the pork flavor was similar between the two so I wish we would have mixed it up. The pork shoulder wins for me because of the sticky greens. I've never liked collards, but it turns out I do like them when they're done well. The service was outstanding. We had the friendliest waitress. They also let us bring a cake for my birthday and didn't charge us. They validate parking, but only for an hour. If you go over, the garage only charges $1/hour though. I'd love to come back to try both brunch and lunch because both sound amazing! Chef Coleman does it again. Make sure to stop by and try it!

Yelp
We have eaten here off and on since they opened. Tonight we specifically got the flounder and grits because I got this dish the last time we were here. The description on menu didn't change but it was obvious the recipe did. It was so spicy hot it burned and our cheeks burned. We couldn't finish the dish. Nothing in description on menu suggested that is was hot and it was t the last time. When we asked about the change, and if it did why they didn't change description- they said they are always changing recipes. This place has so much potential but for now, we will pause going back for a while.

Yelp
How do you say 'no' to meatloaf Monday? I said yes and had a great lunch meal with meat loaf, fried okra, mashed potatoes and braised cabbage. It also comes with a sweet multi-grain muffin which was small but tasty. Everything was well season and full of flavor. I really like the vibe of this place. It's very welcoming like walking into someone's library. It was all decorated up for Christmas but it still has a warm and welcoming feel to it. I had been many times when it was the Whitehorse Tavern, pre-COVID. This new design is more upscale and fitting for this type of restaurant. What you might call upscale casual. I like that they have cloth napkins and nice utensils. The Service was exceptional and everyone was friendly and I was asked several times by different members of the Staff, if everything was OK. I sat at the roomy bar where I got great service. They have several large screen HDTV's. It looked to be a well stocked bar with lot's of top shelf choices and many local craft beer options on tap. The also have a nice patio with the heat stations. It will be nice to check out come Spring time. Don't forget to take your parking ticket, they will validate to cover your cost for parking in their covered deck. I'll look forward to returning for a dinner meal when they serve fresh North Carolina caught trout!

Yelp
Kitchen and Cocktails is our Sunday brunch spot. It is located conveniently in the sports complex. The service here is always good and the food can be hit or miss. The chicken biscuit is delicious and would recommend. Also they have bottomless mimosas which I don't think is talked about enough. The only issue is that the bar of constantly running out of their juice variety for the mimosas. I would recommend coming here.

Yelp
I have been here many times, and it has always been good! It is a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or a nice spot for a date night! I love how they change their menu with the seasons and use fresh products. Some of my favorites are the brussel sprouts and the chicken creaser salad, just to name two. We have tried their steaks as well as their sandwiches and we were very happy with them as well. The service is always great, and all the employees seem to be quite friendly. They can be busy at times due to events going on next door, so we always make sure to book a reservation online to make sure we don't have to wait. We haven't tried their brunch yet, but I have heard really good things about it. This is one of our go to spots in the area

Yelp
Oh I took a trip down to the old town road leading me directly to The Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails . They are located just minutes away from downtown Rock Hill, SC. The menu is full of southern comfort food which is described as elevated . I indulged in the Grilled Verlasso Salmon, Ring Toss which consisted of fried okra, onions ,banana peppers, buttermilk ranch, & Texas pete dust, & the Warm banana pudding. The drink I ordered was a mans man drink in my opinion gave me the feeling of needing to be at a cigar lounge while sipping it was called the Anderson six . When and if you visit be sure to go to the back side of the restaurant where you can view the cool old timey exhibits with antique vintage cars and more which was a nice touch added to the restaurant. This was definitely better than I expected and was worth the drive .

Yelp
My husband and I visited here for our anniversary. This spot was a great choice. We loved the interior decor. I ordered the steak which came with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. I think the Brussels were the best I've ever had (and I've had some good ones). My husband ordered a sandwich with fries. The fries were pretty tasty. He enjoyed his sandwich. I also had their strawberry shortcake for dessert and it was better than I had anticipated. Overall, we enjoyed our date night and would return.

Yelp
Decided to try this place because it had been topic of discussion on a local Facebook page. All the reviews were really good and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves when they visited. The atmosphere was very nice so we were excited to see what the food and drinks would be like. But that fell way short of experience that we had. We did not happen to have that same experience though. I was very disappointed. The service was not up to par that we received. Soon as we sat down it was as if our server assumed that we were going to be a problem. She was very distance and would also walk off as we were trying to tell her something. She never let us finish ordering. We had to stop multiple different servers because our server was never around or she would just walk off after she dropped something off. She made her job harder than what it should have been. If she would have just waited for us to finish talking then she would not have had to make so many trips back and forth. They only time she took a second to acknowledge us was when she dropped the check off. That same attitude she had then is what she should have had the whole time serving us. The food was just okay. The shaken fries didn't have much flavor. Just tasted like regular fries. The Mac n cheese was very dry. The bean were good, you could really taste the tomato that they were cooked in. The chicken was actually good and not dry. I would suggest asking for extra bbq sauce though. I did also add a salad which on the menu said you could add or substitute for $3. I added a salad to my meal but got charged $6. I asked why and the explanation that I got did not make sense to me. The way the menu stated it, it should have only been a $3 charge but again after everything we dealt with that night I just let it go. The highlight of my meal was probably the dessert though. I have never had warm banana pudding but this is the one thing that they did nail. If I were to go back, it would be for the desserts.
