Perfect. It has everything you look for in a farmers market: healthy, locally grown food with amazing people, good organization, and the perfect setting to forge relationships with your local farmers and friends to get your hands on great produce whilst having an incredible time! Definitely recommend to anyone when available over conventional grocery stores.

Google
👍 Great selection of vendors! 👍 Great location. 👎It's grown so much and gotten so busy they could use even more space. Maybe the City of Scottsdale will make this happen in the future.

Carefree Farmers Market

Google
Awesome market! It goes thru JUNE, 7-10am Then opens again, with longer hours, October thu May.

I love a market and was happy to see that there was a farmers market in Old Town Scottsdale on the weekend. We took a walk there which in itself was lovely as it’s in a neighbourhood with lots of little shops. There was plenty to buy there and the food smelled amazing. If I lived here I would be there every weekend.

Google
We had a few hours on a Saturday and this was a fun place to explore. The surrounding shops and restaurants are good and the market is well stocked. The north side has the produce, dried fruit, nuts, etc. And the other areas have a great selection of businesses featuring local honey growers, sweets, lemonade, baklava, cinnamon rolls, pies, chicken skewers, steak sandwiches, pizza, breakfast burritos, and other tasties. It's not cheap but it's a fun browsing activity.

Google
There's a good amount of actual produce to buy. It's nice quality but I can't say that everything is a better deal than the grocer but a very nice variety. Lots of food vendors, some share samples. I like that there's not a lot of advertisers or people selling new doors and windows. There's a little music off to the side. Parking can be a challenge but try the nearby garage. It's the tourist season so you need to have patience.

Google
This farmers market is the biggest! Opens at 8am on Saturdays, goes till 1 pm. It's total fun to cruise the many aisles with pop-up tents providing shade most everywhere. Products for sale were massive produce, fruits, breads, exotic things, cosmetics, new age things, doggie things, tons of food to eat and much more. The produce looked A#1, finest, fresh from field and garden. The artisan breads were tantalizing and long lines formed around the most popular stands. The vendors were sweet and have lots of samples. Bring tons of fives, since that seems to be a good entry point in purchasing stuff. Dog friendly and quite entertaining with all those perfectly groomed and socialized pups on their best behavior.

Google
This is a great stop for fresh produce. Several independent growers. The food choices are huge as well. From fresh handmade pizza, macaroons, pickles or honey. You'll find something there you like.

Yelp
Simple downtown market. Good thing to do on a Saturday. Don't eat breakfast before going there, there are lots of options. Take time to visit the downtown vendors also. Nice time

Yelp
I haven't been to the Old Town Farmers market in the better half of a decade. I was a little surprised to see there weren't more produce vendors and then it occurred to me, local winter. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get my grocery shopping list mostly completed and there is a sense of pride in that for me. Unfortunately, I wasn't in line for much of the vendor selection today but I did take a wander around, from produce, the meats, imported cheese, local honey, handmade pasta, soaps, komucha, teas and many more offerings available. I did stop by and get a plate of jerk chicken and a vegetarian Caribbean pattie and I am anxious to gobble it up! In passing through I heard lots of loving Saturday conversation and the delicious smells permeating from the food offerings, I am bound to come back.... oh and we can't forget all the furry friends making friends and being absolutely pupdorable! So well behaved and so CUTE! I am glad it crossed my mind with time to stop by before they all packed up shop. All the vendors I interacted with were very friendly and welcoming, which is what I would hope for from a local Saturday Farmers market.

Yelp
A great time at the Old Town Farmesrs Market. So many different food vendors, people selling their crafts and goods and of course fresh vegetables. Get there early to avoid the crowds. Everyone seemed super friendly and happy to be there
google avatar

Yelp
Every year I look forward to this starting, they have such a great selection of produce ! People can be a bit snippy but overall nice. Is casual lots of tents, it's always in the parking lot next to rehab burger therapy and applause salon . It's pretty peaceful depending on what time you go.
google avatar

Aron J.

Yelp
I enjoy going to farmers market for the fresh produce and food vendors. This one had a great selection for both. They have music playing in the background. While I didn't get any produce I did get a tamale and honey vanilla coffee and enjoyed both of them. There is not a lot of space when walking so it can get crowded trying to walk around through all the tents. There is a parking garage next to it so was not hard to find parking at all.

Yelp
Had a quick lil stop while back after discovering a farmers market near me. This was their last one outdoors as summer is getting hotter. There was a lot of shops but I didn't see as much produce. I bought some honey and ceylon cinnamon. It was super fun learning about the other sellers and their crafts. I just wish there was more balance of shops and produce. Everyone was also helpful in explaining their business and giving me taste test before I buy.
google avatar

Yelp
This farmers market had more prepared food vendors than a normal produce market, in fact, not many produce vendors at all. More craft items like syrups and candles and such. Lots of tasty treats and salsa also. It was a really good esperience and had easy access to clean bathrooms which is key. Some great tamales, and grilled chicken skewers called "thai Sticks. So go hungry and sample the local cuisine to your hearts content. Its worth it.

Yelp
Walked here from where we are staying so no worries about finding a parking spot. Our first experience at the Farmer's Market was great. Lots of local vendors. Compared to a Minnesota farmers market, it had less fruits and veggies and much more ready to eat food. If you want lunch/brunch, it's a great place to try out a wide variety of foods. We picked up some fresh produce as well as artisan bread, pickles, and kettle corn. We are enjoying all of our finds. Tons of dogs and people. It's was fun seeing all the diff pups.

Yelp
Decided to give the Old town farmer's market another try. Drove around the larger parking lot beside the market ( near the hospital) several times. Finally found a sketchy end spot. McClendon's is the main food vendor. I love their fruits and vegetables. It's so packed in that section I can barely move. Everyone is really nice though. The tent awnings they have up in the open air market are are too low for my husband to walk through without hitting his head. We didn't look at the other booths since we were too tall. I'm going back to Uptown Market. Lots more parking and space. I love relaxing markets and this one was a little too packed for me. Would recommend if you bike there and are under 6 feet tall.

Yelp
Amazing Market! Has all of the goodies. Can do a full week of grocery shopping here if you want top quality food, dog treats, cleaning supplies, and beyond. Super cool!

Yelp
Find the vanilla paste! WearMarket Owners are helpful and friendly. Quality product and reasonable prices. Enjoy!

Yelp
Got an early start at the market and it was already crowded. Picked up some fruits & veggies. Also got some pastries. It's a good sized market with a lot of vendors to checkout. Parking is convenient too. Give the market a look on an upcoming Saturday.
google avatar

Yelp
Shopping and food, I can't ask for a better morning. Excellent veggie section , delicious organic honey, spices, treats etc... Always a fun Saturday morning visit with friends or family. Come hungry, you will be happy with the wide selection of fresh hot yummy food
google avatar

Meily A.

Yelp
Not as many vendors as the Uptown Farmers Market however the quiche alone is a reason to come here. The bacon quiche is delicious and I can't recommend it enough. I also appreciate the shade in this market as opposed to the sunburn you get at Uptown. Overall there is less vendors but you can still get nice fresh produce and noble bread. They're open from 8 am to 1 pm and parking is pretty good.

Yelp
Having recently moved to the Scottsdale area and searching for a Farmers Market, my friend introduced me to the Old Town Farmers Market. Loving this local market with an abundance of fresh veggies, fruits, bakery good and local vendors. Even though we are in the Covid-19 crisis, the Old Town Farmers Market is practicing excellent cautionary guards to keep us safe. It should not prevent people from shopping local and supporting all our local vendors. I just bought some goodies this morning, though I was told by my friend there weren't nearly as many vendors there and the whole social experience is nonexistent (6ft. apart) and the parking was plenty, I still found all the items I wanted. Can't wait till life becomes normal again, but in the mean time I will go as long as they remain open and continue the safety precaution practices.

Yelp
Whew, I haven't been here in years! My husband needed a family heirloom axe sharpened and found a mobile sharpener who is at this Farmers Market on Saturdays so we decided to pop in and check it out! I generally go to the Uptown Market in central Phoenix and was surprised at how many of the same vendors they have here! I like to buy from the smaller farmers who don't have loads of produce, just specialty items, and I found some great ones here! I got super sweet tomatoes, persimmons, broccoli, shishito peppers, fresh salsa, green onions, and colorful carrots. The onions and carrots were from the sweetest kid who takes donations only and the money goes towards helping other kiddos learn how to farm. Now THAT makes me happy! All in all, we'd come back here, however, it is a lot smaller than the Uptown Market and during Covid times, felt a little tight! It's a lovely change of scenery though, and I loved walking around Old Town Scottsdale afterwards. We even shopped local for the holidays at some cute boutiques nearby. It had been too long since we've been out and about here! All in all, it was a lovely Saturday morning with my boys!

Yelp
Lots of food options, not much other things to buy though! Pretty large farmer's market with plenty of parking!

Teri R.

Yelp
Whenever I travel i stop at Farmers Markets. This one by far is one of the best. I especially go there for NOBLE BREAD!!! That bread is the best!! The people that work that market at Noble are so friendly and helpful..
google avatar

Elaine V.

Yelp
This is a great Farmers Market! Love the choices of all the vegetables and other goodies the vendors are selling. I bought some goat (2) soap fig and lemon scented. The scents are so fresh and the soap leaves my skin very soft. So many as my unique products. A nice way to spend a relaxing morning checking out all the organic products after a nice breakfast in the area.

Yelp
First time visiting Scottsdale Farmers Market and I have to say I was soooo glad I read the tips! Get there early - parking is horrible! They were right - not sure why this is the location of the market - there is no parking anywhere but I lucked out, pulled in at 7:45am and parked in the last of 2 spaces right in front of the market. Dog friendly - check! But be ready, lots of other dogs too, so make sure your pup likes their pups. Small small pups didn't like my Sky and were barking horribly at her :( The food: amazing selection, you have your fresh veggies galore, the already made foods tamales, soups (Southern Boy and Such- his soups are so good!) $9-13 per canister depending on size Beignet Babe is there- been liking all over the Valley for her, wish it was her food truck (it's so cute!) but she has a stand making them fresh right there- hot and ready to eat just as if you were in New Orleans Spices, sooo good jams ($6/jar) By Sonoran Scavengers- And the breads - sourdough with Rosemary was my choice this time (loaf -$5) All in all successful visit except for the Sky- will leave her home next time, just too many other pups not ready to mingle.

Yelp
If you are in town when the market is open, it's a must see. I wish I was local as I would buy all my produce and breads from here. It since I'm a visitor I have to buy what would fit in my suitcase. I think items vary by season so keep visiting.

Yelp
Stumbled upon the Farmer's Market while in town visiting family and was blown away by how awesome it is! Everything from fresh veggies, fruits to food vendors selling unique lunch items, and pantry items to take home. Tons of parking too - big lot across the street and prices were also very fair. Loved it and HIGHLY recommend if you happen to be in town when it's coming up!
google avatar

Yelp
10/10 farmers market filled with lovely local vendors and any flavor you might need to satisfy your cravings: hot prepared food from beignets to bao to vindaloo, fresh seasonal produce, gifts, and best of all: world class dog attendance (in my professional opinion). I saw so many different dogs and got to pet quite a few. All very cute. What more could you ask for?
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
Delicious pizza!!!! Alot of people selling a lot of things but I was hoping for more vegetables to choose from. They also have gluten free options which was a plus!!
google avatar

Todd P.

Yelp
This isn't your home town farmer's market. This is how Scottsdale rolls. It's pretty fancy. Yes, depending on the time of year, it does have veggie stalls. And there's the typical craft stalls as well. But there's also some pretty upscale stalls, too. We buy mousse, paté and craft cheese. Not something we've seen anywhere else. It's in a nice area of Old Town, too. It's an easy walk from anywhere in the area and early on Saturdays, parking isn't much of an issue. All in all, it's a nice change of pace when you're in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Super chill. I'm from California(Salinas Valley) so veggies and farmers markets are a daily thing. A lot of different things to look at. Good snacks and things to naw on. Way more organics in California but for the desert it's good. Pretty much everything you need to make that dinner special. It's set up well and the vendors were gracious. Last words...green, fun.

Yelp
I think after recalibrating at some of the bigger farmers markets coast-to-coast, Old Town's Saturday offering either improved or was much better than I remember. Among Phoenix area markets, I'd say this is on the bigger side. When it comes to produce and groceries, the immediate corner is always the place to start, hitting a full spread of fruits and veggies that will last you the week. My personal favorites happen to be smaller stands throughout - excellent micro greens in the back near Proof bakery, and a stand selling all kinds of eggs from quail to emu. I think a lot of the personality comes from the food and snack stands. Some have been around for ages like Nutwhats, but it's cool see places like Beignet babe grow over the years. Some of my favorites I can't get anywhere else are the custom lemonades and the baos, which are decent but will keep up to date with trends like Baby Yoda. Whether you're shopping, need a morning date or family outing, or just want extended brunch, this is a destination on its own.

Yelp
Variety of Arizona farm fresh produce! Lots of scrumptious prepared foods! Grass-fed cheddar cheese and grass-fed meats! Smoked salmon! Organic sourdough breads and pastry items! Specialty items from countries around the world---we selected coffee from Ethiopia and extra virgin olive oil from Portugal! Micro-greens so fresh the farmer cut them while we waited, how good and fresh is that? Very busy and bustling market! Fun! Festive! We filled two large Whole Foods bags! If you're visiting and wanna get into that foodie groove, this is a place to get all that fresh farm produce---it's all about fresh farm---that farm! Nice market, trust me, I'm a Portland farm market shopper on most Saturday's and old town Scottsdale is pretty awesome too.
google avatar

Kylie W.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Farmers Markets! If you want to try out some delicious food, then definitely come here! There aren't a lot of non-food tables; but they have a pretty good sized area for produce! It's above a parking garage, so you can feel the ground moving sometimes, FYI! They aren't only open from October to May, so get in before it closed for the HOT season!
google avatar

Caroline D.

Yelp
Small farmers market but quality foods like dips, fruits and veggies, kombucha, eggs, and meat.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
You want it, they most likely got it. Greens, breads, coffee, honey, body care products, beef beef jerky, jams and preserves, hot foods, and the list goes on. It's much more enjoyable here in the cooler months and is fairly easy to get to with the plethora of parking near by.
google avatar

Yelp
Just wonderful ! Fresh fruits and vegetables galore, fresh bread, pastries, wood fired pizza, Indian food and so much more ... coffee truck, fantastic olive oils and vinegars, friendly merchants!
google avatar

Gee L.

Yelp
My bread fix go to. Noble and several other bakers are there. You can get a decent cup of Joe and bring your puppy to socialize them properly. Those of you with bad doggies- PLEASE STOP GOING THERE. Man, If your dog attacks other dogs, leave them home. Makes it suck for everyone. The local farmers will bring their overpriced but chemical free organic fare for you. A good salad is in your future, trust me. Ivy is there with her mustard and the hot pretzels from Brat Haus are there.
google avatar

Ali B.

Yelp
Fun market!! Didn't find quite as much as I find at some other markets, but I had a good time and was happy with the few things I got. There were quite a few people here but not overly crowded which was nice. One thing I like about this one in particular is they have an excellent produce selection. Some farmers markets don't have quite as much, but there was a lot here! I bought two grapefruits and they were so fresh and delicious. I took my boyfriend who had never been to a farmers market before and he enjoyed it and had some great purchases. I wish I could remember the name of the stand, but I got some excellent curried mushrooms with chickpeas and lemon rice from a guy selling Indian food and it was amazing. Also Raimondos was there which is a personal favorite! Cool market, I recommend checking it out.
google avatar

Cory P.

Yelp
I get the concept of the farmers market. I just feel if it ends up being the same price as Whole Foods or my favorite breakfast spot (breakfast club)then all you have is a moment of charm attached to a bigger parking pain. I like supporting the growth of small businesses but darn, realistically OTFM is not worth the hassle.
google avatar

Kathleen M.

Yelp
I look forward to going to the farmers market every Saturday morning at 8 o'clock . so glad it started this weekend. Look forward to McClendons for veggies and All the other farm to table produce vendors as well. I always look forward to getting my garlic cheese block , some prepared Italian food , some meats from bootleggers and great coffee from the espresso converted VW bus. Weather was gorgeous this week I highly recommend you check it out there's all kinds of meats, Fish, dairy. From what I'm told everything is anabiotic free fresh farm to table you've got to check it out!
google avatar

Brad W.

Yelp
Still too small a footprint for this market. Picked up some pear salsa, kalamata olive bread and some onions on this visit. Mostly the same vendors year after year, but still a good, but crowded market. The tamale store runs out every week, you would think they would start bringing more tamales to the party.
google avatar

Yelp
Old Town Farmers' Market (aka OTFM) keeps getting better and better! We walked over last Saturday and I was blown away by how many more vendors were there than last time I was there... and it had only been a few weeks! Good thing we brought some eco-friendly reusable bags because we filled them up with groceries... fresh produce, flowers, chocolate cherry bread, and more... It's not only quality product, but feels good to give back to the community. We spent all of our money and that was before we even had a chance to purchase ice cream from Sweet Republic (and their sweet new truck) or cupcakes from Butter & Me (that look amazing). But no worries, we'll be back this weekend - it's now part of our Saturday morning routine! In the meantime, we've been enjoying the scent of the fresh flowers in the house, and fueling our bodies with all kinds of fresh fruits and veggies... it's amazing how much better these things taste when purchased directly from OTFM compared to a chain grocery store. Go do your own taste test... I bet you'll agree with me!
google avatar

Emma C.

Yelp
I think it is the best one l've been to around Phoenix! It has authentic farmers' stands and a minimum of vendors selling trinkets. For a few minutes I felt as if l was at a Farmer's market in France. However, prices are definitely not at European standards. I have an issue buying Arizona oranges, our winter fruit, for $2/lb while oranges fall down the trees in our neighborhoods!
google avatar

Alexander C.

Yelp
I second Helen Y.!! This is certainly one of the finest farmers markets in the valley! So many cool things my hands were full of bags! So much to chose from! Even found brussel sprouts still on the stalk! It doesn't get much fresher then that! Rancho Pinot was there serving focaccia sandwiches made the braised greens, whole grain mustard and Schreiner's Fine Sausage, amazingly good! Oh gawd, there was the little old lady selling pickles and preserves, ForgetMeNot Catering.. I ended up buying her pickles and a jar of Strawberry Rhubarb preserves, out of this world tasty! Slather some on a slice of bread from Phoenician Bakery.. it rivals good sex! When you get a chance, check it out.. its not close to being anything like what you would find in San Francisco but for Phoenix/Scottsdale, its perfectly awesome!

Yelp
I love visiting farmers markets when I am out of town. I love to check out the local produce and sample a few things. This farmers market is located in Old Town. The reason why it's a great farmers market is because the selection is great for locals and tourists. Others farmers market include half or mostly produce. This farmers market included a larger selection of wonderful local food items such as pasta, granola, honey, jellies, and more. All the vendors were very nice. Unlike farmers markets in LA, I didn't see many vendors that offer full lunch entrees. However, they did offer snack items or small bites like pastries and drinks. If I lived in Scottsdale, then I would go here every Saturday. As a tourist, it's wonderful to support and check out the local businesses. I bought a refreshing strawberry and prickly pear AZ Pop. I also bought the flavored pastas from Decio Pasta, which is so good since it only needs a little salt and olive oil. I now regret not buying honey. Local Arizona honey taste so different from California honey primary because of the landscape.

Yelp
I am not a big Farmers Market person, and I've only been to a few other ones in the Phoenix area, but this is my favorite one. I like the VARIETY of vendors that they have. There's several unique, local products here that you just don't find at other Farmers Markets. Honestly, I'm not sure if the produce is any better/there's more of it compared to other Farmers Markets, but what they have is always fresh and there's a good variety. This is an especially great Farmers Market for already made items (breakfast, pastries, etc...). There was a begniet lady there last time I came (wish I can remember her name...I lost her card) who made such yummy pastry! One thing about this Farmers Market is that it's very compact & stands are very well organized, which is something I like. The lot it's set up on isn't THAT big (compared to other Farmers Market lots I've been to), but there's deceptively quite a few vendors. Also, because they are right in Old Town a lot of local restaurants in the area set up stands here to sample food (and hand out coupons).
google avatar

Ron R.

Yelp
This is by far the best farmers market around as far as product goes. Unlike most farmers markets where there's one on two booths of people selling produce and the rest selling trinkets this one has a wide variety of people selling produce and homemade food items. There's plenty of sample tasting as well. I only gave them 4 stars because of the prices they charge. Just because it takes place in Scottsdale that's no excuse to charge the extreme prices they do. It does take away from the experience some.
google avatar

Pete H.

Yelp
I love going here. The friendly and positive atmosphere reminds me of Old Vietnam back in the early 70's when the street market vendors were happy to see you and shopping for food was a very fun experience. So much energy was around. There is usually something new, fresh, and exciting to try. People are happy to be there. Warning: you have to adjust yourself to the miserable vibe of Scottsdale once you leave this market. lol
google avatar

Ethel T.

Yelp
Even though we stopped by an hour and a half to closing, you honestly couldn't tell that things were starting to wrap up. There's tons of food (read breakfast, brunch, or lunch) stalls amidst the produce and specialty products sold here. Had I known that, I wouldn't have gone for brunch prior! By far, one of the better farmer's markets in the valley and plus when you're done browsing around, you've got all of Old Town to stroll around - a great way to spend your Saturday morning!
google avatar

Risa M.

Yelp
Such an amazing farmers market! I was in town for just 2 days so I wasn't looking for buying any vegetables even though they looked so good. I've got some food items instead. Larkspur Grove Beef Jerky and Almond Diamonds were divine!! They also have several grab-to-eat options such as curry, brisket, and sandwiches.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Farmers Market! When you live in a metropolitan area that has growing season all year around . . . . and Farmers' Markets seem to be popping up on every street corner . . . . . and you can only eat and share so many green goodies and fruits, it is almost overwhelming to figure out which one to buy this weeks' greens, and fruits, and breads, and honey from . . . except that each one of the markets has its own personality and flare . . . and the goodies are so much fresher than any box store can provide. Each weekend is an adventure. And the Old Town (Scottsdale) Farmers Market is one of my favorites. Centrally located and large enough to have everything you need for the coming week and, yet, small enough to be friendly and intimate. I love this one! It is only Wednesday and I am already almost out of salad makings . . . see you in Scottsdale on Saturday? We'll have coffee and discuss the merits of living in a place with so many local farmers. . . or politics? . . . naught!!!!
google avatar

Craig L.

Yelp
Hands down, the most organized Farmer Market I have ever been to. LOVE Old Town Scottsdale and the local shopping makes this place even better. Great selection of fresh produce. amazing breakfast burritos (and tons of other street food) breads, soaps, sauces, seasonings....etc. Very efficiently laid out to keep people moving. Easy parking and a very fun experience.

We made our first pilgrimage (Ok, it wasn't really a pilgrimage, more like a half hour drive) out to OTFM on Saturday. It was great to run into Gabi, David B, Kevin H, Joel L and several other Yelpers we hadn't seen in a bit. We made our way around the stalls a couple times and sampled everything from apple butter to white truffle infused olive oil. The produce selection was nice, especially for mid-winter. There was some live music and generally people milling about having a nice time on a Saturday morning. We decided we will definitely be back every month or so. All in all a nice Valley experience.
