"If Base Camp Pizza is South Lake Tahoe’s go-to pizza place, Old Town Tap is the Truckee equivalent. The restaurant serves up wood-fired pizzas with toppings like chili and truffle oils, castelvetrano olives, pickled peppers, and cured guanciale, plus shareables like cheese curds with wildflower blossom honey. Their Hooch menu also doesn’t disappoint, with cocktails that use less-common spirits (try the Finger Guns, with mezcal, Italian cappelletti aperitivo, and falernum). While it’s easy to fill up on Old Town Tap’s can’t-miss pizzas, try to save room for dessert: the soft serve covered in olive oil and sea salt is the only way to end your meal here. " - suzie dundas

Wow this was a great dinner and drinks spot for our first time in Truckee. We started with oysters and carrots, and finished with pizza. All were thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and tasty. The service was also great. Pick a seat at their large bar or grab a table— you won’t be disappointed!

The food was delish. We had sharables, apps, salads and pizza. The food kept getting better as they brought out our orders. Drinks were very taste also. Cheese curds were my favorite. Cesar salad had enough parmigiana it make you cry sweet tears. The dressing was most delicious. Best I’ve had in a long time; Portion is shareable too. Mostly noise inside the restaurant. It was hard to converse but I’d still go back.

Came here one hour before they closed, ordered 2 pizzas, caesar salad, and cheese curd. Cheese curd was very tasty and gooey, caesar salad was the highlight of the show, honestly! I love that salad. Very crunchy, refreshing, and the chicken was so juicy too. The pizzas on the other hand, is not so impressive. we ordered the pork and padron, as well as margherita. They told us that they ran out of pork belly so they asked if they want us to have more guanciale, to which I said yes. However, the pizza ended up tasting like smelly pork... it was kinda sad but is not really a deal breaker for me. The margherita was fine, but at this point I have already been so full and happy so we ended up packing the pizza. We also ordered a couple of beers and one ice cream with chocolate sauce. Both of which were ok but nothing remarkable. The people were all very nice and kind, we stayed until closing and we truly appreciate our experience there.

Food was amazing! Pretty much zero complaints about the food, other than the mushroom Mac n cheese could have been cheesier. The cheese curds are why I will be back, so good! The pork pizza was also delicious. Only knocked them down a star due to the service. We waited at the host stand to be seated for several minutes before anyone came to greet us. They also sat is right next to the only other occupied table in the restaurant and they had screaming children. Regardless of the kids, it would have been nice to not be right next to another party when the rest of the place was wide open.

We were a party of 7 in Lake Tahoe for a wedding and found this place based on its reviews. The pizza was very good (we got the mushroom truffle and nephew got the pork), brother got the Ceasar salad which was delicious and had tiny bread crumb bits which gave it a nice crunchy texture. The atmosphere is laid back. The service was phenomenal. Our server Sofia (sp?) was fantastic and said she has worked there for 3 years. This is their only location. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxed lunch for pizza and salads.

Great food, service and atmosphere. But they more on carbs than protein. Reasonable price too. Lots of parking.

Old Town Tap is our favorite place to go after a day on the mountain. The staff are friendly and helpful. But what always wins us over is how good the appetizers and pizzas are. I recommend going after 6 pm to order the meatballs and polenta as an appetizer. Their sauce for their fried Brussel sprouts and humus is also a win. Then to fi ish it off a pizza that won't disappoint. While they have several drinks on tap their bar tenders can make a nice and refreshing mojito.

Great place for some good food and chill atmosphere. We went on a Friday and the place was packed — but they seated us within 15 minutes and we had a very kind waitress. We got the ceased salad, mushroom Mac And cheese and los Olivos pizza, all SO good, so fresh. The ceaser was perfectly dressed— not too heavy. Pizza was unique and flavorful. Mac and cheese was delicious! We will certainly be back! The place was a little loud but added to the fun vibe!
