The 19 Best Restaurants Near Lake Tahoe - Tahoe - The Infatuation

"If Base Camp Pizza is South Lake Tahoe’s go-to pizza place, Old Town Tap is the Truckee equivalent. The restaurant serves up wood-fired pizzas with toppings like chili and truffle oils, castelvetrano olives, pickled peppers, and cured guanciale, plus shareables like cheese curds with wildflower blossom honey. Their Hooch menu also doesn’t disappoint, with cocktails that use less-common spirits (try the Finger Guns, with mezcal, Italian cappelletti aperitivo, and falernum). While it’s easy to fill up on Old Town Tap’s can’t-miss pizzas, try to save room for dessert: the soft serve covered in olive oil and sea salt is the only way to end your meal here." - suzie dundas

Great food options and friendly service. Happy hour options are nice. Ice cream with olive oil and salt was so good! 👌 We came here 4 times during our 6 day stay!

Google
A Cozy and Relaxing Taproom in Truckee Located at the end of the main strip in Truckee, this taproom is the perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind with a great beer. They have an impressive selection of draft beers, along with wines and other beverages, ensuring there's something for everyone. While the food menu closes a bit early, it offers some solid options that are perfect for a casual bite. The taproom's main draw, however, is the relaxed atmosphere and the ample seating. There's a ton of outdoor seating with heated tables, which is a fantastic feature for cooler evenings. You can also grab a spot inside if you prefer. Street parking is available, but it can get busy, so be prepared for that during peak times. This is a great place to meet up with friends or family for a relaxing time. If you're looking for a low-key, friendly spot, this is it.

After spending some time at the Farmers Market, my boyfriend and I decided to try Old Town Tap. The menu sounded good, and it was relatively busy. We had a terrible experience with the service and our food. The waitress took a while to acknowledge us and the first thing she asked was do you want anything to drink? She didn’t introduce herself, explain the menu or specials, she answered one question about a dish, took our order, and then walked away. She was not personable at all and didn’t recommend anything on the menu. As someone in the hospitality industry, I expect attentive service at a pricey full service restaurant. Once we received our mushroom pizza, the waitress returned but didn’t ask how it was or if we needed anything. Additionally, we had to ask the bartender for a cup of ice since a bottle of warm water was placed on our table. Shout out to the bartender! The pizza was oily, bland and doughy, which wasn’t particularly appetizing. I had one small slice and couldn’t eat anymore. The dough had a weird taste, and I’m not sure why. Consider adding a garnish like fresh herbs or arugula for some color… Had the waitress been more observant, she would have noticed amongst two people we only ate half of one 12 in pie. The next time we saw her as it was hard to track her down we immediately asked for the check and a box. Those should have been three obvious “red flags” regarding our experience, and perhaps that should have alerted her to have a manager touch our table. I entered the restaurant slightly hungry and left starving.

Google
The food was delish. We had sharables, apps, salads and pizza. The food kept getting better as they brought out our orders. Drinks were very taste also. Cheese curds were my favorite. Cesar salad had enough parmigiana it make you cry sweet tears. The dressing was most delicious. Best I’ve had in a long time; Portion is shareable too. Mostly noise inside the restaurant. It was hard to converse but I’d still go back.

Google
It very busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered the mushroom pizza, which was really good — fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, the Fried Brussels Sprouts were disappointing. They were overly salty and tasted a bit stale. We also tried the Fried Cheese Curds. They were fresh and tasty, although the dipping sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Google
Wow this was a great dinner and drinks spot for our first time in Truckee. We started with oysters and carrots, and finished with pizza. All were thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and tasty. The service was also great. Pick a seat at their large bar or grab a table— you won’t be disappointed!

Google
This is a Bloody Mary review. Overall it’s meh. Not bad, bet definitely not amazing. Pros: salted rim. Good stratification. Good texture / body. Atmosphere is pretty good. Saturday afternoon, pretty busy, took 15m to receive our drinks. Cons: Small qty, other shops had 16oz cups, this is closer to 10oz. Mixture is a little tomato-ey, not spicy. One small pepperoncini, no olives or picked veggies. Overall, not good value for the price. Would recommend Blue Coyote if you are looking for the best Bloody Mary in town.

Super Fast Service and Great Pizza. Warm olive appetizers were good, but be aware ALL of the Olives still had their pits, so eating them was a bit tedious.

Yelp
Wow, wow WOW, our first bites in Truckee and it did not disappoint. We came around 3pm on a Friday afternoon. The inside is quite dimmed but good, because it was a hot summer day. The AC was sooooo appreciated. We ordered a lot! And no complaints about anything. Not one bit! -bone marrow -mushroom Mac and cheese -Brussels sprouts -Caesar salad (anchovies on top were so good) Service was great and so attentive. Street paid parking.

Yelp
Delicious food & a lovely patio that is dog friendly. Great spot that we keep coming back to :) Alright, I won't change the rating but last night they had the rudestttt guy wearing glasses working the front. He was so weirdly rude for no reason- he literally tried to pretend that he had no order for me after I had just talked to him in person 20 min before and I could see it on the counter. This was in addition to other rude comments and calling me back for a table that didn't exist as well. Wild to have that guy working the front. Otherwise the food was great.

Yelp
Awesome staff! Super clean and chill environment. Pizza and mac and cheese were delicious.

Yelp
Nothing spectacular, nothing bad. Very typical tap house kinda place. Kinda pricey but it's touristy. I get it. Both pizzas were made fresh with good ingredients and the Mac n cheese was hot. Service was great. Our waitress was excellent. Place was clean inside

Yelp
This place was wonderful! The drinks were delicious, and the pizza was just as good. The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for a casual meal or a night out. I'll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
such a cute welcoming place, one of my favorites in truckee. the service is amazing everyone is so sweet. the food is delicious, i havent had a pizza from here i didnt like. im not normally one for soft serve but this one was so good would for sure recommend.

Yelp
I came here with girlfriends for a friends birthday lunch. To start, we got the cheese and charcuterie board with flatbread. For $33, it seemed rather sparse- a huge board with not a ton on it. We each got drinks- the margaritas were enjoyable, and I got a glass of wine. For entrees, we split a pizza, another got Mac and cheese and I got the kale salad. I should've read the salad description better because the dressing was really spicy! I didn't recall reading about anything spicy but later saw that it said a shisito vinaigrette. The dressing ruined it in my opinion, if I ordered again, I'd ask for a different dressing. Service was average. We sat outside and the ambiance was lovely- people watching and also enjoying talking with each other

Yelp
Chain control for those Tahoe bound seemed to be a hit or miss this past winter. Even though you may be traveling through on a sunny day, if it's right after a storm, chain control may not lift over the summit until late afternoon. A normal 4 hours from the Bay Area can easily become over 9 hours like it was for us. I haven't stopped at Truckee for 30 years, but it was such a nice break for a late lunch at Old Town Tap. Sausage and kale Mac n cheese and mushroom pizza being pulled from the oven I had a view of from our table were both excellent and was the warming comfort food I needed before continuing the trek.

Yelp
What a beautiful Day to sit outside and soak up the sun and delicious food. We started with Sauvigon Blanc, lucky dog and warm olives. Moved on to Daou Cab, meatball pizza and a kale/quinoa salad. Server (Sean) was AMAZING and never felt rushed. 10/10
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch during a recent trip to Tahoe and they were able to accommodate a group of 12 easily and very quickly! Very spacious interior and friendly staff. Food came out very fast and service was quick. Prices were fairly reasonable although portions / pizza size was smaller than I expected. I liked the sausage and kale mac and cheese -- it was super flavorful and the top was crispy. Thought the potato pizza was okay (too salty on bites with bacon and flavorless otherwise) and the potato chunks were a bit random. The crust wasn't as flavorful as I expected either.
google avatar

Sierra B.

Yelp
There's a few things to start with. Our waitress was nice but only half our food came and the other half didn't come until we ask them to reorder the food. Dirty dishes piled up on the table and we were all hungry. Shortly after eating three people in our party got food poisoning after eating the cheese curds. They also double charged us for the oily mac and cheese. We only had one order! Not sure we'll ever get our money back, disappointed in our experience.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
Great ambiance and great food. There wasn't a pepperoni pizza on the menu but they said they could make one for the kids and they devoured it. Said it was the best pizza they ever had, and they're not strangers to good wood fired pizza. Husband and I shared the sausage kale mac-n-cheese and it was incredible. I felt bad complaining that my glass of wine tasted sour but they replaced it for me. Only thing we didn't like was the goat cheese on the salad looked like blue cheese and turned out to be "blooming" goat cheese. Totally not our thing and felt like it wasn't what the menu described and had to pick it off. Still five stars though!

Yelp
I wanted to give this place 5 stars because their food was phenomenal. But I am giving it 4 stars due to our service experience. I hope this serves more as a way for management to improve customer service, rather than to scold the employee. My family and I arrived around 4 pm on a Thursday. We were coming from Los Angeles, it was an 8-hour drive so we were looking forward to a sit-down dinner. Everything started fine, we ordered our food and drinks. But we noticed that our waitress Kellie was rushing us throughout our dinner. We were charged for a bird in a cage drink but it was never brought to us until we brought that up to her attention. We wanted to order more items from the menu after she brought us the bill without asking us if we were done. She didn't check on us at any time and we had to wave her down a couple of times. We were thrown off by her demeanor. At first, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and I thought maybe her shift was ending and she wanted to close tabs for all her tables but that wasn't the case. I hope that this doesn't discourage anyone from dining here because our food was great but it's just an experience I hope was only a one-time thing. We started with a sharable plate, of fried Brussels sprouts which were full of flavor and perfectly braised. We also ordered pepperoni, margarita, mushroom, and pork thin pizzas. The pizzas were great and we were all satisfied with our choice. My boyfriend ordered a Hazy IPA and I had two cocktails, "Help Wanted" and "Bird in a Cage" drinks.

Yelp
Located in Truckee Just off the beaten path Tourist stop with great views Kinda pricey, but it is expected due to his tourist location No free parking.

Yelp
Came here one hour before they closed, ordered 2 pizzas, caesar salad, and cheese curd. Cheese curd was very tasty and gooey, caesar salad was the highlight of the show, honestly! I love that salad. Very crunchy, refreshing, and the chicken was so juicy too. The pizzas on the other hand, is not so impressive. we ordered the pork and padron, as well as margherita. They told us that they ran out of pork belly so they asked if they want us to have more guanciale, to which I said yes. However, the pizza ended up tasting like smelly pork... it was kinda sad but is not really a deal breaker for me. The margherita was fine, but at this point I have already been so full and happy so we ended up packing the pizza. We also ordered a couple of beers and one ice cream with chocolate sauce. Both of which were ok but nothing remarkable. The people were all very nice and kind, we stayed until closing and we truly appreciate our experience there.

Yelp
We were a party of 7 in Lake Tahoe for a wedding and found this place based on its reviews. The pizza was very good (we got the mushroom truffle and nephew got the pork), brother got the Ceasar salad which was delicious and had tiny bread crumb bits which gave it a nice crunchy texture. The atmosphere is laid back. The service was phenomenal. Our server Sofia (sp?) was fantastic and said she has worked there for 3 years. This is their only location. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxed lunch for pizza and salads.
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
Devon waited on us at the bar. She let me try a few beers on tap before deciding on the macadamia nut stout which was very good. We tried the pork pizza upon a recommendation. It was just a tad undercooked with slightly salty pork three ways and sweet honey drizzle with pickled peppers. I liked the combination of flavors and the crust was freshly baked in their pizza oven. There was a liquid on the pie, not sure if that was from the pork belly juices/fat or the peppers, but left the pizza a bit floppy which was disappointing. Have been in before and the Mac & cheese is super rich and delicious. They have a nice outdoor patio out front with tables and is dog-friendly.
google avatar

Parita A.

Yelp
Solid choice for sharing plates for dinner! We ordered the cheese curds, little gem salad, and two pizzas. The service was great. We had to wait for a table but went to the bar and found seats immediately for a bit while our table was being prepared. The ambiance was fun - not too loud and not quiet. The salad was crunchy, dressed well, and a big hit. The cheese curds were also well cooked and the honey drizzle was a great touch. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the Los olivos. I preferred the mushroom pizza over the olive pizza. Both were good but lacking in seasoning a bit. Would recommend and go back but would likely try a red pizza over the white pizza.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday at 6:45pm as a party of 5 and was seated pretty fast. We got the OTT house salad, the fried brussel sprouts, and the margherita and olive pizzas. All of the food was delicious and came out fast. I really liked the salad but wish it was bigger. They also have a great draft beer and cocktail menu.
google avatar

Alyssa F.

Yelp
We were still hungry after our very light dinner. We came here and ordered a pizza to share and the bone marrow. When I tell you, this is the best bone marrow I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. AND THERE WAS SO MUCH! Even between the two of us, it was a lot. But delicious. Our pizza was delightful. We had prosciutto and arugula. Cooked perfectly. Service was great. We felt bad, we came in 5 mins before the kitchen closed but they accommodated our requests. Lots of beer and wine options. Fun little spot
google avatar

Dave R.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant after a day of snowboarding and really enjoyed the vibe! They had a good selection of beers on tap, and a wide variety of food. Not too many options, which is a great thing when you're tired and hungry! We had the pork and padron pizza, hummus and flatbread, and a caesar salad, all of which were great! Halle was a great server.
google avatar

Parker O.

Yelp
This place is really great! Thank you Trish for being a wonderful and cheerful server-- you really made our experience so great. I really enjoy their approach to their menu, being centered around sharing with others. It's great because you get to try out a lot of their different food options. They have an interesting menu, but I think it works really well. I love the seating here as well, very comfortable and doesn't feel cramped despite the smaller footprint. We came at a bit of a busy hour, yet they delivered our food quickly. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area!
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
Poor service. We asked the server if we could order drinks; she told us to wait. Then we had to give the whole order at once and we received the pizzas before the drinks. The server was rude to the children and told them they needed to "calm down". Manager was very unsympathetic when we told her that was not appropriate. I am sure it is normally a nice experience but do not go there for top quality service.
google avatar

Daisy G.

Yelp
Our server Halle was so awesome and attentive! She checked on us a few times to make sure we were doing ok and asked if we needed more. The food here was delicious and definitely had a twist to everything we ordered. Would come back!
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Amazing pizza!! Super quick service, food are here within five minutes Burrata was my favorite - love the pistachio and spices! The salads tend to be in smaller portions: house salad and strawberry salad Fried Brussels sprouts were really on point!
google avatar

Suki M.

Yelp
This place was average. Very crowded on labor day weekend (Duh). The patio was full so they invited us inside to eat and the overwhelming pungent odor was so strong and offensive I didn't want to go inside when I asked about the odor the hostess got offensive it spoiled my appetite! My husband ordered a Margarita pizza and we finally figured out the smell... truffles! They use so much of it on pizza's and mac&cheese That it why it's so strong! Anyway the pizza was horrible and they have a pizza oven with a couple of pie makers pumping them out so I don't know why it wasn't better. Cute place that looks like a good time, possibly they were overwhelmed by the crowd. Beer was cold and refreshing.
google avatar

Carrie C.

Yelp
Beautiful, healthy food Wonderful service Lovely outdoor dining Not too crowded Perfect

Yelp
Another spot with amazing service, hip vibe, located in downtown Truckee. Caution parking is difficult. - pizzas were good, 12 inches, thin crust. Not my favorite Neapolitan pizza, but still satisfying. My favorite would have to go to great gold, followed by Truckee brewing. The honey pizza is usually one that I always like but I did not like the pork that was on it too soggy. Enjoyed the pepperoni. - Mac & cheese - ordered the standard added sausage. Excellent! - Brussels sprouts also solid (a bit on the sweet side) but would definitely order again - Cocktails. Great variety the one I ordered though was too sweet. - Lots of beers on top appreciated the selection - dessert was a basic vanilla and fudge, on the melt side, but still good. Compared to great gold this place is similarly hip but less fancy.

Yelp
Reliable and tasty food, attentive and friendly service, and trendy/rugged decor that fits the local motif. I have visited Old Town Tap a handful of times on various weekend trips to Truckee, and it always hits the spot. This time we ordered the fried brussels sprouts, meatballs, and burrata to start, then we ordered the mushroom pizza while they accommodated our five-year-old with a pepperoni pizza. I was initially impressed this visit when a waiter noticed I was carrying an infant car seat and approached us to ask if we would like a barstool to put the carrier on. Talk about service! It was all smooth after that - the appetizers were flavorful and savory, especially the brussels sprouts which were nice and crispy. The meatballs are also a must-have - served on a bed of polenta and teeming with herbed flavors. And for those who love truffles, the mushroom pizza is all you could want. The truffle aroma is quite strong, and the pizza itself is creamy with cheese and a soft but firm crust. Definitely put this place on your itinerary if stopping through town.
google avatar

Janice B.

Yelp
Solid choice in Truckee for sharing some yummy food with a great assortment of beers on tap. We ordered the Caesar Salad, which had a nice bit of saltiness with chicories and crumbled croutons mixed in. The fried Brussels were crispy and well-seasoned, with a terrific aioli sauce that reminded us of eloté dip. The pizza had a nice thin crust and was a classically prepared Margherita. Soft serve ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Service was attentive and friendly, and the place was a warm retreat from outside had a nice vibe, with lots of chatter and the Warriors playing on TV. We came on a Monday night so parking was a breeze.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Pretty awesome pizzaria / tap house / small eatery. The vibes and ambience was cool but it seemed a bit confused on what theme to go with. Menu selection is typical tap house menu but super quality and some extra special menu items. Had pizza, sausage Mac and cheese and pita bread. Beer selection up to par too.
google avatar

Soh Imm O.

Yelp
What a gem in the town of truckee! The pizzas here are delicious! We ordered : - pork padron pizza : amazing flavors, nice generous pork belly! It was so good we had to order another pizza - mushroom pizza: filled with loads of mushroom and super delicious too! Thin crust pizza was nice and light that we can continue eating more without feeling too heavy or greasy - little gems salad: nice refreshing with a nice crunch . Veg was very fresh and blue cheese dressing was great! Service was quick & servers were attentive. It has a pretty nice and casual ambiance.

Yelp
Most amazing food ever! Oh my gosh! Luke was phenomenal! We came on a Sunday night and his service and hospitality was amazing! His team was very kind quick and efficient with service! 10/10 food was to die forrrr! And the icecream! We came back Monday due to the food being so good and the hospitality! The look of the bar restaurant is so cute and welcoming! New favorite place thank you!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
My friend and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get seated right away. We chose outdoor seating since the weather was nice and sunny. There were various appetizers, salads, shared plates, and pizzas to choose from. We shared the charcuterie board, roasted brussel sprouts and a mushroom pizza. charcuterie board 4/5: it came with apple and pear slices, 3 types of meat, flat bread, 2 spreads, and gherkins. Very tasty overall, the spreads were delicious and everything just went well together. roasted brussel sprouts 5/5: these are the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. It was roasted to crispy perfection and had grated Parmesan sprinkled on top. It also came with a side of a chipotle based sauce which was very tasty. mushroom pizza 5/5: the crust was perfectly thin but not soggy. The gruyere cheese with the truffle flavor was delicious. The mushrooms were well cooked. This was my favorite part of the meal! Service was good. We were checked on a couple times. Check this place out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Talin S.

Yelp
It was a very warm and cozy restaurant. We got the bone marrow, and two pizzas. I can't remember the name of the pizza but it had an egg on it and it was delicious. I didn't really care for the bone marrow. The service was also great, fast and kind server!
google avatar

Marlin T.

Yelp
The waters vessel was nice. The bone marrow and charcuterie plate are good but not what I had this time. I had the shroom Mac & cheese. Very tasty I fucking love truffle and thyme. Good job whatever bathroom display we are.
google avatar

Joy F.

Yelp
Still just as good as the first. Updated from the first post. This is our fave spot in Truckee. Went to dinner on New Year's and it was packed and we waited for about half an hour. I have no problem waiting for food that is sooo good with warm service. Brussels sprouts, pizza, bone marrow, mac n cheese, soft serve and my mezcal drink. Everything was a delight. Service was still great, despite the busy first night of 2024!!!
google avatar

Allara U.

Yelp
Highly recommend stopping by Old Town Tap on a warm summer evening to sit on the patio, have a cocktail or two, and share some pizzas. We had the sausage and kale + meatball pizzas last time we visited, and both were excellent. Great spot in downtown Truckee.
google avatar

Malu B.

Yelp
Good atmosphere, friendly service. Their food is delicious too but they are more on carbs than protein.

Josh C.

Yelp
I've never left a review for a restaurant before, but I felt I had to for this. We ordered two pizzas, and both were two of the worst pizzas I have ever had. They were flimsy and paper thin with no flavor. They were ordered for takeout and I can understand a slight decrease in quality, but not a decrease this significant. I hope this was just an off day for the restaurant, because the reviews overall seem very good, however, this experience has permanently crossed this restaurant off our list of potential places to eat.
google avatar

Joanna S.

Yelp
The food here was absolutely delicious! We got the: -truffle oil mushroom Mac and cheese -potatoe with bacon pizza -Caesar salad -warm olives -burrata -bone marrow Every dish was sublime and the pizza was thin and cheesy delicious. The truffle Mac and cheese was the perfect amount of savory flavor. The Caesar salad had crumbled croutons that were easy to eat and the burrata with pine nuts was super tasty. 10/10 would come back again! The service on top of it all was excellent - nice and quick. This is my favorite restaurant now in the area.

Yelp
Chaotic place and Rude server. We waited for a table of 9 for 1.5h, arrived within 10 mins after getting their message, following their instructions, but lost our table. When I tried explaining that I followed their instructions, I was told "don't raise your voice". Then he walked away and mocked us to other waitresses.

Yelp
My friend and I were in town for an event, and came by here for dinner. To drink, I had the Melancholy Sniper (habanero tequila shot w/ pineapple, cilantro, mint back) and a 19 in July (habanero tequila, watermelon, lime, agave. I REALLY liked both drinks. I wasn't sure about the Melancholy Sniper at first, because the pineapple, cilantro, mint back sounded a little weird to me. But I am so glad I tried it. All the flavors went well with one another and complimented the habanero tequila shot. For dinner, my friend and I shared the pickled veggies, burrata plate, and bone marrow. All of it was absolutely delicious. Our server was very nice, and attentive. She was very helpful in answering all of my questions.

Yelp
We were looking for a good pizza and got lucky to find a spot outside at this popular spot. We ordered the sangria (specials menu) and the Unspoken words (Japanese whiskey, hibiscus tea) and they were both very tasty. I like the way you order - small plates that come out as they are prepared. We tried the house salad, which we really enjoyed. Simple but tasty and a good portion. The bone marrow was also tasty, and it came with plenty of pizza bread to balance the depth of flavor. We ordered the seasonal pickles - not our favorite, probably would skip next time. All tasted pretty similar. The Pork and Padron pizza was delicious! We loved the crust. The restaurant is cute inside and outside. Even with the busy night, we never waited long for a server & everyone was friendly. A new favorite in Truckee
google avatar

Art L.

Yelp
At first, we were disappointed that not a table can be found on a Weds evening, but we were offered a counter space overlooking the patio seating area. Turns out to be quite nice with fresh air coming through yet sitting technically inside. Service was friendly & prompt. Our waitress not only recommended several items to us. After some persuasion, we decided to add the melon soup, which is one of the highlights of the dinner. Purée melon with fresh veggies makes this a perfect summer cold soup. Absolutely a must try. We ordered many tapa dishes plus their signature pizza... all delicious. The bone marrow is ok and acceptable. The rest are a cut above like the pork & bacon salad. That salad dressing must have avocado purée in it; innovative & tastes great. The cheese plate was really good. The 3 types of cheese accompanied by 3 sets of sweet jam sauce was a perfect combo. That thin pizza crust is great and the generous bacon & pork belly are best combination for meat lovers. Of course, I saw veggie toppings on other pizza at the menu. It's a great place to have a casual dinner with exquisite food. And, the price is more than fair. Think every dish is under $20... with the bill before tax & tips come to $87.... Definitely need to come back for more.

Yelp
Cute spot on the main drag with nice service. Pizzas were awesome and thin crusted. The olive pizza had lemon zest and was SO tasty. Charcuterie was fun to share, as were the brussels. Wasn't a fan of the Little Gem salad as the staff clearly hadn't washed the lettuce - lots of crunchy dirt throughout. Highly recommend the Hen House Hazy Pale Ale.

Fine dining, quality food in a relaxed atmosphere! What a treat! We loved our quick stop in Truckee at Old Town Tap on our way back to Reno on Tuesday night. We ordered the small cheese board (some of the best cheese I've ever tasted), bone marrow appetizer (one of the best things I've ever eaten period), an oyster (how do they get such good quality seafood in the mountains??), and the meatball pie. The pizzas are fantastic and my daughter ate the entire pizza. But they are a pretty good size so I felt pretty good about the cost for each item we ordered. Service was also fantastic from Keith who managed the bar, made my drink, and got our food out fast. We will definitely be back and might even go out of our way to get to it, too!
