I absolutely love this place! The creativity that goes into making their drinks is truly impressive. The drinks are a bit pricey, but they’re worth it. However, since they don’t serve food, I can’t really rate it as a restaurant. If you’re looking for a cozy place to have a nice conversation with your date, this is the perfect spot. It’s a small place, so it’s ideal for a intimate setting.

I removed one star simply due to value. We went here for my husband's birthday - he loves all things Maritime and hates big crowds so this seemed perfect. The service was wonderful; from the moment we checked in with the hostess, we were escorted to the "secret" door by a manager, the two bartenders in the room were very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the drinks. They had options for their signature cocktails that were all $28 each and catered to various liquor preferences. They also had some "experiences" that were more expensive. We did not order food or snacks. My husband ordered the "One if by land two if by sea" whiskey drink and it was quite the show they put on! I ordered the Gin signature cocktail which was also presented very beautifully. My husbands drink was delicious and it seemed like a good amount of whiskey for the price. My gin drink was too sweet for my liking, and I was disappointed that almost the entire glass was an ice cube. I understand the price is also for the "exclusive" experience, but for $28 I did expected more drink, less ice; it was about 5 sips until gone. Atmosphere was spot on; drink presentation was incredible, bartenders were wonderful. This was a cool experience, but after one visit, I feel like I don't need to go back.

My husband and I had a great time at Old Wives Tale. Walking in feels almost like stepping into a bar straight out of Moby Dick. The atmosphere is dark but warm, with bottles glowing softly along the wall—such a nice touch. We ordered their signature cocktails, though I can’t recall the names. Let’s just say his came with a little boat, and mine with a mermaid. Both were delicious, and the bartender that night was fantastic. So why only four stars? The only drawback was that the F&B managers kept opening and closing the speakeasy door, which broke the vibe more than once. I understand it’s probably the only way in and out, but it did take away from the experience.

What an amazing hidden gem inside Seamark!! The thought they put into every detail in this bar truly tops everything else in the Boston area. The decor and drinks were so beautiful, very well designed to match the theme, even the ceiling!! We ordered two drinks just to get a quick vibe before they close for the night and we definitely need to return for more fun drinks!

What an amazing experience. From the moment we entered the room we were transported back in time. Our bartender, Brianna was so knowledgeable and engaging and she made the most amazing Irish coffee I might have ever had. The ambience was spot on and I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a high quality crafted cocktail.

Speakeasy in the Seamark restaurant does not disappoint with incredible marine decor. Every detail is thought of in the beverage menu, with elaborate cocktails based on local ship lore. We enjoyed the vibes of being hidden away, like under a ship. A must visit if you are at the Encore. Things to know: The speakeasy just opened and so there was some confusion from the front of house (some said it was closed, but ultimately it was open) and it does take a while to get drinks given how small the bar is. But the bartenders were very attentive. There is no food in the speakeasy, only delicious cocktails well over $20 each. Prepare for sitting close to your neighbor, which didn't bother us, but might bother others. Overall worth the experience and would go again.

Reserved a table. Manager had us wait ten minutes off to the side. Then told us there’s a very loud party in the bar and to “be cool” they were incredibly obnoxious the entire time and got cut off. 60.00 plus tip to watch this group of drunks assault a bartender. The bartenders were the only good part of the experience, one star is directed at management.

My husband and I had a great experience when you first walk into the Old Wives Tale. It's almost like if Moby Dick had a bar, this would be it. The vibes were dark with warm tones. The bottles against the wall with light gave it a nice touch. We had their signature cocktails which I cannot remember. Let's just say he had one that had a boat, and I had one that had a mermaid. Very tasty and the bartender that night was amazing. You might be wondering "then why only four stars?" I am taking one star away because that night the fb managers on duty kept opening and closing the speak easy door, and it really ruined the moment from time to time. I get it. It's probably the only entrance to go in. But still, it just really kills the moment.

A cool concept for drinks ($28+) and apps. Be aware the price is on the higher side for drinks given you are sitting in a private room. There were two staff inside to attend your order. They were friendly. Drink presentation was everything! Next time we will try the apps!

Small but intimate space great ambiance. The staff are full of knowledge . Drinks may take longer but that is because of the love and ingredients that goes into making them

First time but won't be my last! It's easy to get into just ask for it by name when you enter the Seamark. You're let in by the manager and the door opens to a 15 seat cozy and cool room. The bartender Briana was amazing. I gave her a flavor profile and she made me an outstanding cocktail. If you're at the Encore, or looking for a cool spot for cocktails this is it.

Such a fun spot! This is a hidden speakeasy within Seamark in Encore and they did a great job with the interior decor. Drinks were really good and all came with beautiful presentations!! It's a bit pricey but definitely fun for a night out!

Ambiance was fun! Drinks were a bit gimmicky, leaving me feeling it was ok to do once. Service was inconsistent we had to flag someone down more than once for such a small place with 6 tables.

What a lovely spot for a date night. Was here recently and ordered a few drinks. I think Brianna was her name made us a round of excellent watermelon whims drink and walnut banana bread old fashioned. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing cocktails and the ambiance is nice and private. It is located inside the Seamark restaurant and you can go in by asking the hostess if there is space for your party. Presentation of the cocktail is top notch and service was great as well.
