Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that was absolutely the worst cheese steak I ever had. Something told me to wait until I got uptown to order from the corner Bodega but when I went online to lookup cheese steaks near where I was at this place popped up and had some pretty good reviews" so being the food conisur that I am and also being 8 months pregnant I said to myself, It must be worth it for the price tag of $20 plus tax. So I ordered the cheesesteak, fries and sprite and couldn't wait to tear into it being that those cravings was kicking in. Baaaby let me tell you how I went from anticipating to oh hell nah when I bit into to it, I don't know what dog food taste like but I would imagine like this on a roll but with a little more flavor, and the fries were dry and added no exception to the meal, talk about disappointment I was pretty much robbed of $22 dollars only to give me food away to a homeless man omw to the train lol. Listen do yourself a favor and stop by your local Bodega deli the next time your craving a real flavorful authentic cheesesteak. Now im bout to order some Chinese food and call it a day. #realreviewfromarealperson

Came here from a Tiktok & got a to go order, ordered Honey BBQ wings & a Chicken cheese steak, I shared with my mother since it was huge. Only thing I would say is too much mayo was on my sandwich other than that, everything was really go. Those ordes came up to $40 I would come here again! It was worth the trip

This place is Amazing i love the bartenders, the Atmosphere was Relaxing, the Service was top Notch and Everyone was Super friendly. And the Cheesesteak No Doute were stright out of Philly had their Original, pizza, and Mango habanero! Best Ever i'm definitely Going back!

Absolutely unbelievable experience. I have never in my life been treated with such hostility at a bar for simply asking about happy hour pricing. We walked in politely, were handed menus, and asked a totally normal question: the price of a Guinness during happy hour. Instead of an answer, the bartender snapped at us with shocking aggression, demanding to know why we were asking if we “already had a menu” (which did not list happy hour prices). We were stunned, but stayed calm and asked why he was speaking to us that way. At that point he suddenly told us we needed to leave immediately or he would call security. For asking a question about beer. Truly surreal. We tried to resolve it peacefully, but the situation only became more absurd. The bartender followed us to the exit and told security not to let us back in, as if we had done something wrong. We were nothing but respectful the entire time yet were treated like a problem simply for wanting to know the price before ordering. I have been to bars all over the city and have never seen customer service this hostile or unprofessional. If the goal was to drive customers away, it worked. I will be telling everyone I know to skip this place since there are plenty of bars nearby that actually know how to speak to people with a basic level of respect. Zero out of ten. Worst bar experience I have ever had.

Good Philly vibes! Philly cheese steak was good (a little over priced but hey we’re in NYC). The buffalo cauliflower was a pleasantly delicious surprise. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the staff there. Will definitely be back.

Great to see a place that knows how to make a cheesesteak and a roast pork sandwich! The bread was right on. Perfect texture to complement the cheese steaks and the roast pork sandwich. However I was a little disappointed they mixed up a roast pork sandwich with a pork roll sandwich... The pretzel was great too! Would definitely come back for the cheesesteaks!

I enjoyed every moment of my dining experience. They provide good quality quickly without charging much. The meal exceeded my highest hopes. Their dishes provide good flavor and satisfaction. This spot has an ideal setting and we received good treatment from beginning to end.

Order delivery, after an hour the order was cancelled. When reordering the cheesesteak that was priced at $18 was $19.5 and arrived incorrect. The buffalo tenders came with no buffalo sauce so they were just the order of chicken tenders bull still paid the extra $2.50 for buffalo… Overall food took over two hours all together, came cold and the order came incorrect… Not worth the time and price, $16.50 for 5 small burnt dry tenders…

Quality cheesesteaks for a great price. Service is great - I usually order takeout but the hosts don't mind engaging in silly conversations! Always opt for Mango Habanero on the side :-) lol wings are solid as well ! They do have a lot of specials and a few late night deals!

This is a really fun sports bar to drop in and watch some games if you have time, they have some good beers in tap and some delicious bar food you can order. The bartender is super nice and funny, he's always willing to put whichever game you ask on one of their multiple TVs. I love getting the cheese curds and some beer but people also come here for cheesesteaks and food so that works too. 10/10 spot!

I was craving a nice cheesesteak again. Olde city has constantly come across my YouTube algorithm over the past few weeks so it's always been in my head to stop by. I ordered online to go and my order was ready pretty darn quick. Upon picking up the order I took a look around and the bar/restaurant isn't too bad. It seems to be a pretty good after work sports bar spot. Now onto the food. I went with the basic Philly cheesesteak with fried, onions, cooper sharp American cheese, mayo and ketchup. The steak is well seasoned and the bread is super soft actually almost too soft. Upon first bite, the bread was falling apart. It was however a great sandwich nonetheless. The old bay fries were surprisingly great. I didn't expect much out of them but I tasted one in the car then I had a second and third one and almost decided to finish them off lol. I made a good side choice here and they actually offer a few other good looking/sounding fry options here. Last but certainly not least I was being greedy and ordered some garlic parmasean tenders. These were chef's kiss. Had a nice crunch, and the tenders themselves are not overly saturated in sauce. I like that if I do want more sauce within a bite there's enough sauce to rub in the bottom. I will definitely be back again

My partner and I came for a quick dinner after attending a talk at 92Y. Really solid sports bar and pub grub. It's Philly themed and they have many options on the cheesesteak menu as well as other Philly classics. I had the pizza cutlet which was similar to a chicken parm but better. The servers were really nice and attentive. They offered to let us move our table when they were concerned my partner couldn't see the tvs well from where he was sitting. We will definitely come back.

Olde City Cheesesteaks & Brew prepares dishes that make me want to try everything on their menu. The restaurant maintains a following despite size. I need to recognize the exceptional customer attention here. Looking forward to exploring more of Olde City Cheesesteaks & Brew's menu. No place delivers better experiences.

Was craving a Philly cheesesteak after years of not having it and with Shortys closed down there wasn't a super reliable place to get one in the city. Ordered a whiz wit (cheese whiz with onions) for delivery and I'd say overall it was pretty solid! Had to take a star down since it was a tiny bit too salty for me and the amount of onions was almost unnoticeable. Still a pretty good Philly and would probably order again if I have the craving again!

I just had the worst experience trying to order from here. None of their phone numbers work so you can't try to get your correct order. I absolutely do not recommend. Stay away from here at all costs.

They do a lot of takeout, but it was so much better to have the Philly cheesesteak at the bar! Our bartender, Zane, was friendly and funny. Empty but new but it will get crowded soon enough, as the food is very good and they have plenty of happy hour specials.

AWFUL. Miniscule sandwich loaded with ground pepper. The steak resembles and tastes like grade school cafeteria food, or even steak umm, barely any onions. No phone # to call and when asked, I was told i have to use the app. You can only order on the app. So, I rolled the dice, ordered and went to pick up as it's close enough. The staff is rude and unresponsive, until I finally had to yell and say I'm here for a pick up order!!! That order gets left on a shelf with a bunch of others that I'm assuming are Uber, Doordash or Grub Hub. Once you are finally told to go look for your order on the shelf, you may actually get it and dont be surprised if its cold. Such a disappointment for the Upper East Side. Will never go back again. Good luck to you Olde City, you're gonna need it. Horrible customer service, rude staff, 1/2 assed prepared food and certainly not worth the price. It won't be long for you here.
