Olde City Cheesesteaks & Brew

Just tried this Cheesesteak place out!! Delicious! The homemade bread was delicious too!! Definitely coming back!! Recommend the Authentic Cheesesteak not the pizza one!! Friendly staff is a plus!!! My waitress Valentina was attentive!! Thanks!!

The key points about my meal here. The workers accommodated our time constraints with impressive service. This restaurant sits in a nice area. The food delights, service supports the experience, and quality remains consistent. We're content with where we decided to eat.

Good location. Nice ambiance It looks like a good spot for sports etc However the food was really disappointing. Both the smash burger and pork sandwich tasted like old oil, greasy Only fries were fresh and well done The old fashioned cocktail was decent Out of 10 drafts they only had 3

Hands down the best place to go to watch an Arsenal match!! They have a special breakfast menu for days when the Arsenal match is in the AM for EST. Pub food is great here! We spent a little more than one normally would because we were there several hours from before the game until some time after.

7/22/23 first time here. Cool spot, reviews said the cheese steak was good, so that's what i got, my regular order when I'm in Philly: steak w/provolone & broccoli rabe & grilled onions. Yeah it was really good! Bread was perfect as was the distribution of cheese in the entire sandwich. Good beer selections and great Happy hours: 7 days/ 11a-8p and 11p to close. Friendly staff too. Nice tables in the back and plenty of TV's. I'll be back-

Food usually good but today for a pick up which I would not advise They gave me old bread and it fell apart wow 19 dollars down the drain either thecworkers hate being there cooking or the business doesnt care straight to the trash

Visited before taking a charter bus to the Manchester United-Arsenal friendly. It was so chaotic in there but the staff was very prompt and still managed to get orders through. Food was good—pub grub. Definitely a good bar to visit on a more regular day.

I ordered from Door Dash. The steak sandwich was good but just a little too salty with the cheese sauce added in my opinion. I also had the pretzels which were undercook/doughy in some areas of the pretzel.

Went here since it was close by my hotel to watch the Knicks game and had a pleasant experience. The waiters were attentive and got us seated fast. Food was pretty good and serving portions were amazing. Try the brownie with ice cream it's a comfort food. The atmosphere watching the game here was unmatched for a playoff game. I didn't catch the waiters name but he was able to change the channel for me so I can watch the Dodgers-Mets game which was really nice. They played the Knicks game on almost every screen and the crowd was really hyped watching. Overall when in New York again def stopping by this place to watch any local sports games.

This is probably the best cheesesteak option I've found in the city thus far. . I love the different, unique options but also that they offer a good, standard cheesesteak. I also love the fact that they offer a lunch deal. I opted for an Authentic chicken philly with cooper sharp cheddar. I didn't get peppers and onions on it, which I do think was my bad. I should have done this and will next time. I liked the texture of the chicken in this and I appreciated that I do feel like the cheese was incorperated into the meat enough. which I feel like is the downfall of some of the other cheesesteak spots that just rest the cheese on top. I also got the yuengling rings with the garlic aioli. It took alot of willpower for me to only eat a few to try. These are breaded perfectly and are the good kind of greasy. (Dare I say perfect hangover food?!) The bartender that waited on me was very friendly and pleasant and made sure I had all of my necessary sauces and made me feel welcome even though I was sitting at the bar and not drinking (lunch). This is definitely your sports-bar vibe. I have a gut feeling the finance bros like this type of joint lol. I will definitely be back to try some more of their menu options. :)

I have eaten at Pat's King Of Steaks and Geno's Steaks. I must say this place is pretty good. for $17 is reasonable. The service was fast.

Delicious cheesesteak. Used a Groupon voucher. They accepted it, but there was some confusion about how to redeem it. It took two people and a person on the phone with the manager to figure it out. But ultimately, I got my cheesesteak and they were very good. I really enjoyed them.

Great atmosphere, nice selection of drafts and a decent menu. The cheesesteak was ok. Good flavor, but really small portion of meat. Definitely not a philly but a decent snack.

I think this is one of their newer locations. I've personally never been to the Olde City chain but I heard good things about them from a friend that's visited one of their other locations. More or less she said they have decent cheesesteaks and a pretty good rotating draft list. It reminds me of Shorty's kind of but Shorty's was superior. I was curious and saw a sign outside advertising happy hour and decided to check them out on friday. Happy hour runs until 8pm: $6 drafts, $7 mixed drinks & seltzers, $10 natural wine & Aperol Spritz. They as well have discounted snacks and a late night happy hour that runs 11pm-Close. I love me a late night happy hour. Anyway, the beer I wanted was out so I got something else. Not an issue. We both ordered a beer on happy hour. We were paying separately because lots of people do that these days. He put down $7 and I put down $10. The $17 for our 2 beers that came out to $12 together or $6 each individually disappeared. The bartender never returned with the cash or a receipt. She just put it in the register and continued to chat with her friends or the locals. I got ballsy and asked after trying to get her attention a few times if there was change and she weirdly got flustered and angry. Saying that I gave her a ten dollar bill, a five dollar bill, and two singles and that she does not understand why I would want change. I'm like we were each paying for our own beers. . . and then she snapped back that I should have said that we were paying separately from the beginning and that this is my fault. Regardless if we were paying separately or together the point was was that she still owed back some form of change and she wanted to pocket that. It was really a negative and nasty attitude and for the bartender to accuse me of being in the wrong was insane. We quickly finished our drinks and left and will most likely never be returning.

The real deal! I'm from Philly suburbs and these cats got it right, even the bread (very important !) is proper for Philly/South Jersey. Highly recommended, great early and late happy hour deals on draft and cocktails. This one is worth it.

Cheesesteak honestly below average. Even if you do like their food, a word to the wise --make sure to check your receipt - they have been known to add a higher tip amount then you might have authorized. Dearest Owner Evan, My credit card company has a charge from Olde City, so no idea why you cant find it. And it was the credit card company who pointed out to me that there was a problem with the tip. As for your cheesesteaks, Ive definitely had better in Philly, where I was born and raised.

BEST Cheesesteak I can remember having ever. Meat was tender, moist and flavorful on a fresh baked hoagie roll. Lots of options for cheese toppings from traditional, 'authentic' provolone (which I had) or cheese whiz, to bbq flavor, pizza, BLT club, etc. We ate at the bar. Our server/bartender was fantastic! She was funny, clever and charming. With a quick wit. A truly pro's pro of a bartender who engaged with us in friendly banter (which we initiated), but she took completely in stride and seemed to enjoy. It's hard to describe to people who don't 'get it', but a bartender with a quick wit, great conversational give and take who really seems to enjoy interacting with customers elevates the entire dining, eating, drinking experience. The 8th Ave location in Chelsea has only been opened a short time, but we've been a few time and both the food and service have superior each time. Highly recommend giving it a try.

2 philly cheeses and fries, extremely salty and inedible. I normally order from the Madison location and it's perfect but unfortunately they weren't accepting orders. The quality of 8th, just horrible and the philly cheese looked mangled.

Glad to see this cheesesteak place which we know from the Theatre District (in the old Shorty's location on 9th & 41st) in our neighborhood. Very good cheesesteaks (lots of options, including an excellent roast pork), great fries and onion rings. The downstairs is all high-tops; they have regular tables upstairs (if it's open).

Best cheesesteaks in nyc by far. Love the mango chipotle cheesesteak and the fries! Would definitely recommend to anyone

This is my go-to spot for a drink after a long day. Sophie, Ciso and Sonya are amazing!! They are attentive, personable, funny and make coming here a better experience. I won't come here if they aren't working! Would absolutely recommend

Born and raised in Philadelphia. Moved to NYC in 1988. have not had a cheesesteak since the early 80's. I had their cheesesteak with sharp-provolone, fantastic. With the first bite I was back at Jim's Steaks and 4th and South in the early 80's. So good, will definitely be back .

Best cheesesteak in Manhattan by far. And the kitchen is open late. Food is always ready on time when I place it for pickup. I order from here at least once a week. Also try the brussel sprouts
