Google
I drove up from OC to finally go here. There was a naked homeless person out front of the stores and another threw trash at my car while trying to park. For the love of god find a new location.

Joshua Williams

Google
This is an essential destination for the “architectural salvage store” type (we know who we are). They have a big stock while particularly good varieties of doors, chandeliers, mirrors, and ironwork panels. Super friendly staff to boot!

Chen Stacie

Google
Very Cool Place! but a little bit pricy for me☺️☺️☺️~

Google
They got some really good oddies and vintage coolies in there!! Totally love roaming inside..

DAVID SCHANHALS

Google
So many great items and all around cool stuff here. Sensory overload for sure.

Gary Rycraft Jr

Google
They have a lot of stuff to choose from there. The people there were really nice.

Google
Very cool spot! Very unique pieces here...If I had had more time I probably could have stayed there all day! Really loved it!

So fun. So many treasures. Prices are negotiable.

Yelp
I love walking through these antique shops and warehouses just to look around and see all the neat things from the past. My house is full of antiques already so I didn't need to buy anything. A salesman who worked there was very nice and asked a few times if I needed any assistance finding something. The one negative thing about this shop is that everything was pricey.

Yelp
So glad we found this place. Got in town early for a Lakers game and had time to kill. Other Yelpers mentioned the ceiling tile mirrors and we found a cool one. They gave us a decent price and helped us load.

Yelp
I'm sure you've heard this phrase before.. "Another man's junk is another man's treasure. You can spend hours at Olde Good Things. This place is crammed with all sorts of collectables, antiques, and vintage items and furniture. A couple of cool finds: Vintage refurbished Frigidaire from the 50's or 60's. Manual peddle washing machine. Great in front of the tv. Refurbished barber chair. Located on corner of 18th and Grand just south of DTLA.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Beware. I spent weeks working with Veronica in the door dept by email. I wanted a single-panel door, which typically runs $140. She never answered my questions about the cost of the door early in the conversation (although in response to my email she did tell me the shipping price, conveniently forgetting to tell me the price of the door itself). At the end, guess what? Got a big surprise: $450 for that $140 door PLUS $250 in shipping. $700 plus tax for an old door with layers of peeling lead-based paint? Of course she knew that I live in NYC. Needless to say, I passed.

Yelp
Holy cow! This place is AMAZING!!! I was looking for a closet door with character, something more that just the regular selection from Home Depot/Lowe's, etc. I thought vintage might be the way to go, so after a quick google search I came across this place, which wasn't terribly far from me. I went in and was in heaven! They had so many doors, so many styles, so many choices. But it's not just doors - every inch of this place has incredible stuff - lights, shelves, countertops, doors, door handles, whatever you need inside a home. I loved it so much that a week later I brought my fiancé there just to show him the place and we wound up buying a light too! Along with amazing finds, I found that the prices were actually reasonable for an antique store. Chuck is super nice, and he gives you space to look around, but is there when you need something. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Yelp
I will definitely be a life long customer at Olde Good Things. Robert was refreshingly kind and helpful. He made the process of purchasing my table easy and flawless all the way down to the delivery. The table is extremely high quality and comes with a loving story and attention to detail that only a true collector would appreciate. Not only does Olde Good Things offer furniture but everything from vintage doorknobs to real marble mantels. You get what you pay for and that is excellent service and impressive wulait

Sylvia L.

Yelp
We purchased a small wrought iron table and two doors. My son turned them into a large outside dining table. It can easily sit eight. When we sold our house all the bidders wanted us to include it in the sale. Nope!

Yelp
Kinda a niche architectural salvage spot, was expecting more from here especially the location. Some cool objects but nothing here was something I see anyone putting in their home unless you're into industrial warehouse aesthetics.
google avatar

Daisy V.

Yelp
Wow you can spend hours here and not see everything there is to see. The guys here are friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The pricing here is very fair. They could probably be a bit more responsive to emails and turn around times but with the volume of stuff they have I imagine they are constantly busy.

Yelp
This place is on the outskirts of downtown and it's packed with neat, often quirky finds. Last time we saw a vintage rocket ship pinball machine and a huge array of old signs from stores. They also have furniture with a nice, real patina. Oh, and lots of light fixtures and old maps. We bought a huge beveled mirror. They have an entire room in the back of them ranging in a variety of dimensions and materials. Robert helped us, and he is as unique as the stuff he sells. He told another couple to "take their time browsing as the folks who made the things took their time making them." The prices aren't cheap, but the craftsmanship is evident in the wares for sale.

Jeri S.

Yelp
BAIT AND SWITCH. I purchased a nautical outdoor sconce from Olde Good Things for $300. It was hanging on their wall - with a bulb inside - lit. I live out of state and paid $60 to have it shipped to me. When I opened the box, I discovered that the sconce that they sent me has no wiring. It's just a shell. I called the store and they tried to tell me that the sconce I purchased wasn't wired - that it must have been reflecting the light from nearby sconces. I'm not stupid, and I certainly would not have purchased a light from an antique store unless I was sure that it was in working order. This is clearly not the light I paid for. Now I have to pay an electrician to wire the one they sent me. Shop at your own risk. And never trust them to ship your purchases to you.

ROBERT C.

Yelp
Worst possible service .... Today was told I'm having my breakfast .... Wtf !!!! Zero product knowledge . A box of frogs would have been more informed than this guy . Go anywhere else

Yelp
Do not support this company. They use the money for their own pockets but claim it's going to Haiti. They run two orphanages in Haiti that have been deemed unacceptable to even Haitian standards and the latest disaster was a fire within one of their orphanages that killed 14 children and two adult workers. Read this article for proof. https://apnews.com/46e0cdb30b9bf51e979aa7c98b3f8e81?fbclid=IwAR2bT5EMT44vwgWHJY6MkfkuHxRF1NoGMEismPHfnBhbj2PbpxoyDI4wIMU

Yelp
One of our first outings was Olde Good Things DTLA ! So much fun and soooo many cool things to look at!we didn't find anything to buy but if you get a chance and like to peruse unusual pieces it's a must!

Yelp
I was greeted, upon wandering in to his sweet, salvage retreat, by a kind fellow who told me this... "Take your time, take a long time to look, and look carefully - each of these Items took a long time to get here... and they deserve the same in return' Needless to say from that moment on I was mesmerized. An eclectic gathering of everything from doorknobs, to light fixtures to streetlights - Olde Good Things is a wonderland of exactly what it advertises. Whether you are decorating your home - gathering set pieces for a project or just in need of some inspiration Olde Good Things is a destination worthy of investigation.

Yelp
On the very very very pricey side, but the quality and range of selection seems justified if you have crazy money to spend. Even if you just pop in to browse, you'll find something that you've never seen before. Thus, making the trip totally worthwhile. You'll find old school door knobs, snowshoes, imported doors from India circa 1800s, church pews, grappling hooks, Mexican Coke machines, and statues of things you would never think people made statues of. The mirrors fashioned from old ceiling tiles were my favorite. Truly beautiful! When there, keep reminding yourself to look up because chandeliers and light fixtures hang from every inch of the ceiling.

Mark R.

Yelp
Architectural items. Nice place, very clean even though they appeared to be doing some construction. Not very welcoming but I guess they were just busy. I'll be back again
google avatar

J J.

Yelp
I love their inventory. Great place to get inspire and to find rare salvaged pieces. The guys that work at this location are a hoot. Way more fun than a day at the museum.
google avatar

Steven H.

Yelp
This place has a ton of unique pieces and even more standards you've seen strewn about every antique market. The difference at Old Good Things is the astounding prices. I wanted one very simple hook for a coat rack. It was priced as if somebody's grandpa smuggled it in his ass throughout the entire second world war just to bring it back to America. The service was off as well. When asked for the price of another piece, the store's attendant nonchalantly flicked the item in question, then shat out a price at random. This store serves no worth past an eye candy store. You will have as equal a chance to take home an item from the Smithsonian as you do from this place.
google avatar

Mr O.

Yelp
$$$$$ for what they have, so over-the-top, couldn't believe it. Service is poor. Kinda shocking all and all, not worth my drive to DTLA. But hey, now I know. I had a better experience at Erics in Silverlake, Salvare near Atwater, or Pasadena Arch Salvage.

Yelp
On my long lunch break from jury duty, I wandered into this ye old store. Inside was a inclusive collection of seriously vampire aged goods; furniture, doors, knobs, fountains, bathtubs, light fixtures, statues, chairs, and plastic oddities. It turns out this store originated on twenty-fourth street in Chelsea, NYC and they specialize in goods from the northeast. Some of my fav's: - an original steel eight foot long propeller - art deco water fountain - marble old world bathtub - various sized ship lights Think Home Depot, but fifty years ago with high prices and lots of dust.

Yelp
I stumbled upon these guys en route to something else a couple of years ago and literally burned rubber stopping so that I could park and go inside. They are a treasure trove of industrial furniture, reclaimed stuff, architectural elements, lighting, faucets, sconces, signs and more... come to find out they are actually based out of NY and frequently get crates full of goodies and are happy to include you on an email list to be informed of such forthcoming treasures. I went in there again today [after first going to their west-side location which has weird hours] to see if they wanted to buy some old doors I had and ended up spotting the coolest old chandelier that I just couldn't pass up. They're definitely streamlined in terms of how many people they have working there, and hence are pretty busy, but I really enjoyed speaking with Paul and Jay and I was completely pleased with the customer service they gave and the bargaining that ensued. Don't go here thinking you'll pay yard sale prices, but know that you will find fabulous treasures and will probably want to stay and wander for awhile. Dig it. :o)

Yelp
I want it all! Hook up a trailer to my SUV and filler up. Small things, BIG things and all things in between. I can dream of all the ways I can design with these little glimpses of history. Calling all Interior designers, paradise awaits. They can transport things to the Bay area, during the next Alameda Antiques fair for me too. Put the horse blinders on me, I might buy the whole store.

Yelp
having trolled the new york incarnation of olde good things, i had high expectations for this branch. indeed it carries a fine array of architectural salvage stuff as well as oddities from many eras. if you need a baroque snooker table, this is your go-to place. prices strike me as high for los angeles industrial district. they seem more appropriate to urban manhattan. i don't know if the owner has considered this. but i also don't know if bargaining is permitted -- i expect so. taking a friend here whose 1914 house burnt nearly to the ground last year, thanks mayor v. for cutting the fire house staffs.

Yelp
This place is a must for Old House Restoration (or fixing old houses in general). Adding this to my Old House Restoration List.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
This place is really cool. As legend has it, Quakers go into old cathedrals, train stations, hotels, etc. that are being renovated or torn down, and grab furniture, mirrors, tiles, oddities, etc. and refinish them and bring them to a state, not only of former glory, but a new level of reverence. Then, they sell it to you, here. I met two of the brothers that run the store, and they were very nice. They have some amazing and wonderful pieces. If you have a love for the old and odd, this place has some fantastic things. Definitely worth your time if you want to just look around, buy a cool piece for your home, or buy a cool gift for a person who love the unique. For what's there, the prices are pretty in-line with reality. I'll definitely be coming back here to get some more cool stuff.
google avatar

Karin M.

Yelp
Amazing stuff, right next to the freeway on Grant Street. Everything you find on the Westside for 100 times the price is here! A flowery mini-chandelier for your daughter's bedroom or an amazing solid walnut table straight out of Mad Men. You looked for it, you found it here!
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
So. much. stuff. From all over the world. And every era. Great place to check out and get ideas. Furniture is way over my budget.

Yelp
Please support my former cult leader and help him maintain the standard of living he has become accustomed to. Buy from Olde Good Things! What can you give to the cult leader who already has everything? As John D. Rockefeller famously replied to the question, "How much money is enough?" The answer is, "Just a little bit more." If you are a socially conscious person, you can feel good knowing that an infinitesimal percentage of the money generated by Olde Good Things does help support some orphanages in Haiti run by the Church of Bible Understanding. If you are a person who will not patronize establishments who produce their goods in sweat shops in various parts of the globe, please don't let that stop you from buying from Olde Good Things, which relies on the underpaid labor of broken, abused and oppressed persons who have given up everything, even their very lives, to serve the agenda of their great and fearless (and very materialistic) spiritual leader, believing they are doing the right thing, while receiving very little in return. Your purchases from Olde Good Things also keep a roof over the heads of members of the Church of Bible Understanding in the crowded apartment building at 162 Woodruff Avenue in Brooklyn and in the several warehouses where they live communally. (The men and women live separately. No new relationships or marriages have been permitted there for the last 32 years, with the exception of the leader, that is. There are a few married people who don't live in who got married before then, and they will front to outsiders that marriage is freely permitted in the church.) They live this way, while the leader and several female followers share these digs: http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/the-church-of-bible-understanding/view/?service=1

Yelp
I was so blown away with the quality of the antiques!! This was more like a prop house and every piece was displayed so you could actually see it. Most sites if this kind just jam the stuff in and you have to rummage around. Not here! The owner was so nice and helpful. I enjoyed talking with him about his store. I want to return because I found so many pieces I would love to own. The prices were really good too. They also do a lot of repurposing of old architecture which is beautiful. This is definitely a destination you don't want to miss while in downtown Los Angeles.

Yelp
I needed two three paneled doors to outfit my older home to make it uniform. One was uncommonly odd shaped and the other was a normal sized door. Bob was extremely patient going through about 50 different doors until we found the right ones. (good salvage cop). He then directed me to Paul (tough salvage cop) who proceeded to help me barter my way to an agreed upon price (I had an extra three panel door in excellent condition that I no longer needed). I honestly feel that if I was a better negotiator, I could have saved about 20% more. I leave that tidbit to you Yelpers out there, so be advised. Great stuff, great employees, about 10-15% cheaper than Pasadena Architectural, and I like the Let's Make a Deal atmosphere. Boy, those doors really do make a difference than those hollow core pos.

Yelp
Love this place ! Very helpful without being pushy. Its a great place just to fill up a couple of hours. I'm a re-purposing fool and this place fits me nice. Prices are high, but I've found you can talk them down some $$.

Jeff B.

Yelp
Wonderful people. Really hooked me up. Jim was great. I'll never go anywhere else.

Bonnie K.

Yelp
The problem with Olde Good Things is not the merchandise, which is spectacular, it's the virtually nonexistent customer service. By all means, patronize this place, but beware of any transaction including delivery or special orders. I placed a special order for a table, paid in full and waited the 2 months they specified for it to be made. The deal was that they would call when it was ready to arrange for delivery. They never called, so I finally contacted them and a delivery was made. The table arrived damaged (could have been prevented with $5 worth of bubble wrap!) so they took it back to repair. They never called to tell us when the repaired table would be delivered, and when we finally called them, they told us they were coming that day. Hello - give us a little advance notice, please! We told them to come several days later, when we would be home. The table was finally delivered and it's beautiful. But dealing with these guys took a lot of time and patience - buyer beware!

Gregg B.

Yelp
Lots of treasures here Pricing is on par with antique store - not junkyard Happy hunting!
google avatar

Max B.

Yelp
This place has a lot of great pieces and it seems like there is something around every corner. There were a few pieces of more "salvage" that were unique but for the most part typical antique/flea market fare. Parking is easy on the street and for the amount of stuff the place was not claustrophobic. I was a little surprised at the prices. They were decent for WestSide prices but seemed a little on the high side (even considering negotiation room) for a place that competing with Veteran's stadium and Rosebowl Flea markets. I am sure there are some good bargains with some digging but put on your negotiation glasses and make sure you get what you pay for.
google avatar

Asher B.

Yelp
Amazing selection of stuff. I'm almost always able to find something here. My only negative is the customer service. I feel like I am bothering the sales people when I am there. They don't usually have any customers when I have been there, but it still feels like I'm unwelcome in there. Let's get back to the positives. They have always offered me a discount when I asked and that made whatever I bought a much better deal.
google avatar

Tricia K.

Yelp
I am an antique junkie and this place always makes me happy inside when I go! It's not inexpensive but they know how to get great architectural salvage pieces you just don't find anywhere. This last visit I wanted to buy a old giant tea kettle sign from a cafe that is long gone somewhere. They have doors, knobs, sinks, windows, large statues, cabinets, lighting, iron, mirrors, tables, benches... all with amazing character. The staff is quirky, and you may catch them on a unfriendly day but they seem busy making deals on more merchandise, so I'm cool with it. There is also a pot shop next door so sometimes I feel like I'm getting contact high while I shop, which is just a bonus I guess if you are into that sort of thing. Anyway, don't pass up this hole in the wall.
google avatar

Gabriel D.

Yelp
This is simply an eye opener. It's an art museum that you can buy from. Everything is in excellent condition despite the item's age. Beautiful doors and chimneys as well as statues. It's Amazing that a place like this excists in downtown.
google avatar

Bryan S.

Yelp
Found this place while exploring the area. It was the HUGE kettle out front on the sidewalk and Humpty Dumpty on the roof that got my attention. I spent over an hour just looking around at all the interesting items. The staff was very nice and didn't mind me just browsing and taking photos. The vintage telephone switchboard was a favorite of mine. Some much to see and I bet a lot of stories to go with the items. I am thinking about asking the owner for an interview and information about some of the items for my Youtube channel!
google avatar

Diana M.

Yelp
Staff was very helpful and patient. Lots and lots of cool stuff. Reasonably well organized. Reasonably clean---you'll pay more than you would at a junk lot, but prices are reasonable if you find what you're looking for.

Alanna M.

Yelp
By far the coolest antique place I've ever been to. They have the most amazing pieces, from gothic style chandeliers, to typewriters, to giant frames around your fireplace. The most unique pieces, I was blown away. I highly recommend anyone check this place out, especially interior designers.

Katherine M.

Yelp
I have to say, I love this store. Its a great architectural salvage emporium combined with some really tasteful and creative one of a kind items. Their hand made trestle tables from recycled wood are gorgeous, so are the iron tables topped with refinished Coney Island boardwalk planks. I went there looking for a claw foot tub and wound up with light fixtures, iron tables, and tin ceiling panels. The guys are really helpful and will make you a deal, esp if you give a shout out to Scranton. Check it out!

Tammy H.

Yelp
Olde Good Things Rocks!!! We've been buying from the LA store for a decade ++. The selection of architectural salvage is vast and the website shows nearly their entire inventory for both LA stores and NY, which is always convenient. Can't imagine a time that I haven't purchased a single thing on a visit. The guys will definitely wheel and deal on most items.
