A beautiful family run restaurant. Fantastic high quality food with attentive service. The wine list is full of gems. A must try if you're around this area.

Inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and staff who know how to take good care of you. I ordered the chef's vegetarian meal of the night, and was delightfully surprised at the depth of flavour. Our group left satisfied and smiling, and so glad we had made the choice to dine here.

I am giving one star because I cannot give less. The food was okay but the waitress was extremely rude, she offered drinks and we told her we wanted two cappuccinos after the meal, then we gave their own water bottle to our children and soon after the same waitress approached very rudely asking if we were drinking our own water to which I respond that the kids were and I asked if that was a problem, to which the waitress responded “Yes, that is a problem” again as rudely as possible, in many places in the Netherlands kids can drink their own water. If in this restaurant was not allowed the waitress should have warned us in a kind manner, there is no reason to mistreat clients who are already paying for 4 meals and 2 cappuccinos (which at the end I refused to take there).

Amazing food...

Wir waren am 15.2.26 zum ersten Mal im "Olde Marckt" und es hat uns wirklich gefallen. Tolles Essen, Weinauswahl war abwechslungsreich "quer durch Europa" (Pfalz, Österreich, Spanien, Portugal, Bordeaux / Frankreich) und passte zu den Gerichten. Service war bodenständig freundlich und nicht abgehoben - was uns persönlich sehr gefällt. Familiär geführt und kernig herzlich. Zubereitung und Anrichteweise der Gerichte war sehr ansprechend und den Michelin Stern sicher wert. Der Panhas mit Entenleber war wirklich gelungen - schlicht, ungewöhnliche Kombination, Sauternes als Wein dazu, sau-lecker! Auch hier zeigte sich wieder, wie genial Hausmannskost und edle Zutaten harmonieren können. Wir hatten 2x das "Carte blanche Menü" und es hat uns beiden viel Spaß gemacht. Gruß an die Bocholter auf der anderen Seite der Grenze: Ihr wisst leider noch nicht wirklich, was für ein tolles Restaurant in Aalten existiert! Reservierung sinnvoll, gerade Abends. Wir waren mit Sicherheit nicht zum letzten Mal dort. Danke ans Team des Olde Marckt!
