Where to Celebrate Halloween in New Orleans

"Kim Lewis’s acclaimed Ole’ Orleans Winery is hosting a Halloween Trunk or Treat party on Saturday, October 29 (5 to 7 p.m.). The kid-friendly event will feature music, wine, and candy, so bring your wine tumblers and lawn chairs and come in costume. (The winery is still accepting trunks so if you have some scary good ideas and want to participate, send an email: info@oleorleans.com." - Clair Lorell

I really enjoyed the entire experience! The location seemed sketchy at first but the patio area is so scenic with a beautiful brick painting. I'm sure will be much nicer in the fall because it was SO hot in July! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wines and pairings and gave us good information about each one. I love that this place is owned by a black female! I'll definitely be back with another group! Thank you for making our Bachelorette trip special!

Me and some ladies did a private wine tasting Mother’s Day weekend and it was very nice. Our wine educator, Crystal, went above and beyond to accommodate us! We also met the owner and she was nice. It was great to see a black, female owned business thriving. I’ll definitely be back!

Let me tell you, this company deserves more than 5 stars! If you’re waiting on orders and it’s taking a bit longer than expected, like the old folks say “hold ya draws”! It’s worth the wait! Not only is the wine rich and flavorful, but the customer service is immaculate. When I picked up my order from Steve there was a small gift in their (cozy socks), and the experience was quick and professional. But to put the cherry on top I just received a call from Ms. Tabitha from Ole Orleans just checking in on me to ensure that I received my order and offered her help if needed. She was so sweet. Thank you Ole Orleans! I ordered 4 bottles of wine; Merlot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, Cabernet Sauvignon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, Chardonnay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, and Rosé that I cannot rate because someone snagged it! Lol 😂

Me and my husband visited Ole'Orleans for Valentine's Day and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We had someone teach us about 4 different wines and how to pair it with different cheeses on our charcuterie board. It's was just a great experience. Our favorite wine was the Ole'Carrolton. Definitely visit for a date night, girls outing or if you're trying to explore the wine realm. 10/10 recommend.

Ehhh.. I love supporting Black Owned Business so I was determined to make it here. Me and my cousin did a wine tasting back in November at the beginning of Ole's boom! The host who was there was very nice and provided good service. The place is cute. However, it was a late night tasting, the cheeses were not the freshest and most of all, we didn't get our wine bottle that was supposed to come with the tasting. The one I requested wasn't in stock so he told me to hit up the owner and she can ship it to me. She never responded. Not a fan of bad business. I literally waited months for a response and nothing. So here we are! I will not be returning. I would buy her wine in stores though. The whites weren't bad.

Google shows the location as a house, but the building is the tan colored warehouses at the end of the street with customer/client entrance on Iris St. We did the 6 course tasting and were very pleased with selection, the knowledge of the wines and the entire process was also impeccable. Cannot express enough how great an experience it was, if you're on the fence go buy a couple of bottles at retail stores and try it out before!

My sisters and I went for a tasting for my birthday in May. Crystal was so attentive and friendly and the wines were delicious. One of my sisters wanted a candle that was on display and they let her buy it from the shelf even though it was the only one! Great environment and will definitely be back for other events to support.

I scheduled the private intimate wine tasting outside and it was absolutely amazing. I don’t usually drink red wine or rose but i was definitely impressed by both here. Also Ms. Crystal was amazing, we had great conversation and she gave us a very informative session on each wine. I will most definitely be back

Yelp
Great wine selection offered my this local, woman owned business. Great taste, great wines at a great price point. They infused its Creole and Cajun roots, creating a pool of well-balanced wines that are perfect for any occasion.

Yelp
First! I stumbled upon this wine on Instagram from a post by "winemakerdub" in trader Joe's. I'm usually a sweet wine lover but I'm graduating in my taste. This red wine "gumbeaux" is the perfect combination of sweet with the bitter and it isn't DRY! The Rose I thought would be more sweet usually something women love but it was still good. Also it's BLACK WOMAN AND LOCAL OWNED!! I found mines in Rouses so now I definitely have to visit the location for a wine tasting event.
