Ole Red

I was honestly surprised at how much i liked Ole Red. The food was so good and seeing other tables food come out there was nothing that wasn't huge and so good looking! The place was packed, but we were so lucky to get a table right in front of the stage! Both singers we saw were great and really interacted with the crowd. It's pricey, but that's to be expected!

Our first time visiting...I ordered the appetizer wings and my wife ordered a burger with fries. Our waiter (Tye, hope i spelled his name correctly) did a great job. Very polite and professional. As for the food, there were some issues. Starting with my wings...I must say the flavor was really good. Whatever the sauce that the wings were sitting in was unbelievable. Wing skin had a great flavor..however...there was zero consistency in cooking. Over cooked, tough skin, meat was flavored very well, but most was so over cooked it was impossible to enjoy. I must say, had the cook time been on point, these would have been incredible. As for my wife's burger, she stated it was good. The fries were exceptionally cold and she asked the waiter for some hot fries. He quickly brought her an additional plate, but they were just as cold, if not colder than the first order. With all this being said, we will not and would not recommend Ole Red to anyone, at least not this location. Great flavor, but cold and over cooked food. Also, 10 to 12 dollars for a 12 oz can beer is totally ridiculous.

If you’re in town for a weekend getaway, this place is a must try. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and clean. The service was top tier, ask for Squirrel, he was very attentive and gave great recommendations on where to go. The food did not disappoint; everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Make sure to add this spot to your list during your visit.

Atmosphere was casual and fun. The live music performances were entertaining. The wait staff was really friendly, fun and helpful. The wait time for food and drinks was minimal. The food was delicious as well. All in it was a great experience, thank you Ole Red!

Live music and excellent food. If you are in the area we highly suggest this restaurant. The live music was awesome and the food was just as good. Kids meals come served in a plastic take home dog bowl.

Had such a great time at Ole Red's. Our amazing bartender, Lucky, shared some insight on the biography of the bar and we had some great laughs. Atmosphere was very welcoming with Bailey Callahan singing so beautifully. Experience was one to definitely come back and visit again.

We stopped into Ole Red for lunch while walking through Gatlinburg, and the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I’d been transported straight to Nashville. The vibe is undeniable, great layout, solid service, and live music that’s genuinely hard to pass up. On atmosphere alone, Ole Red delivers five stars easily. The food, however, didn’t live up to the setting or the price tag. I ordered the Pulled Pork Bar-B-Que Sandwich with house-smoked pulled pork, vinegar slaw, pickles, Ole Red BBQ sauce, on a potato bun, plus a side of fully loaded tater tots with white queso, taco meat, and sour cream. The BBQ pork itself was a major disappointment. Honestly, I’ve had better pulled pork reheated from the grocery store. It lacked flavor, depth, and anything resembling “house-smoked” character. The fully loaded tater tots were solid and easily outshined the sandwich. The surprise star of the table was the cornbread. We tried to sub it instead of fries and were told it had to be ordered separately... once it arrived, I understood why. It came out in a massive cast-iron skillet and was some of the best cornbread I’ve had in years. Warm, rich, and absolutely worth it. All in all, Ole Red feels a bit like a tourist stop: great energy, live music, and a fun experience, paired with mid-range, predictable food. I probably wouldn’t go back specifically for a meal, but there’s nothing wrong here.. just don’t come expecting the food to match the hype.

This was our first time here in Gatlinburg ! Celebrating my husband’s birthday and decided to stop in here. We had the best time! LaRue was our waitress and she really felt like someone I have known for a long time ! Her aura is amazing ! She was so down to earth and sweet! She even snuck and told the musician it was my husband’s birthday, noticing it on her own. It was too cute ! The food was awesome as well. The ambience was very nice! We will definitely be back !

When I'm in Tennessee ole Red it's a must visit that needs to happen ! One of my favorite things to have here it's the cornbread with honey butter ; it's always warm and delicious fresh from the oven . When order the food , the chicken burgers were ok not great but just ask for extra sauce. The location always has amazing performers that make it entertaining through out the whole night .

Decent. Pricey. Touristy. Our food was tasty but nothing special enough to crave. The live music is a nice touch. I liked being able to tip the artist electronically. Drinks automatically include a souvenir glass for an added $5 fee. Should be able to opt out and get a regular glass. Also, they force you to exit through the gift shop. Definitely a tourist trap.

Honestly , I was skeptical when I saw this place had 3 stars. My family and I came here party of 13 people (5 children ) First time during my visit to Gatlinburg this trip we were greeted and seated right away. The waitress was outstanding , and I'll tell you right now what food is absolutely mandatory you try. Corn bread appetizer , followed by the wings buffalo style with honey. Most of had the burgers which were all good , I had the Oklahoma burger . Overall I given this place 5 stars job well done , there's live music and overall atmosphere was perfect for such a large family to eat lunch. Def check it out

Was very excited to try this large place on the strip. Couldn't give them a five star because they were out of many things we wanted to order. They did not have any chicken wings. How do you not have chicken? The fried ribs were just OK and definitely not something I would want to have again. The hamburger was pretty good. The country fried steak was pretty decent and I liked the sides that it came with. The mashed potatoes, green beens and corn were the best things we ate. Their portion sizes aren't very large either. Our server wasn't really that friendly, which is another reason why I gave them a four. I don't know if it was because he was busy or he just wasn't interested. The location was nice, right on the strip. It's also a really large place with two floors. They had live music so that was nice as well. Overall, with so many other places to try on the strip, I don't know if I will return here.

My sister and I discovered Ole Red upon our arrival in town and made a point to try it. We had lunch there and were thoroughly impressed with the quality of our meal. We arrived as the restaurant opened and were warmly welcomed by the hostess, who also served us. The live music performance was outstanding. We started with the fried pickles, which exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken, which boasted a generous portion size and exceptional flavor. Although my sister's Salisbury Steak was slightly overcooked, I was able to share my chicken with her. The restaurant's decor, featuring old photographs of Blake Shelton and quotes in lights, added to the lively atmosphere. We also enjoyed the free Photo Booth. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, and we will definitely return.

I've been here twice in the last 6 months. The live music was amazing both times. The food was excellent--I had the BS burger and soooo good! The service left some to be desired as it was a mid-afternoon on a Wednesday and is was so-so. There weren't a ton of people in there, so it surprised me a bit. But overall, I love this place and will def be back. The cornbread--from my last visit--excellent! ;-)

Came here around dinner and had a great time! Our server was exceptional- very attentive, nice, and offered multiple refills before we were done and even extra queso for our nachos. The music was great as well- after a long day this was the perfect dinner! The nachos were delish and the burger my boyfriend got was amazing (Oklahoma burger). I wanted to come back the next day to get one if I'm being honest! Overall: great music, food, and service. Glad we came!

Loved the live music and ambiance in the restaurant. Good food selection on the menu. Fun spot to go with the family or with friends. Loved the attached gift shop!

The atmosphere was amazing! We sat at a table in the bar and watched people walk by the window, while listening to some nice music in the background. The bartender was fairly busy, but you couldn't tell that by the amount of attention she showed us! She was fantastic (I just wish I could remember her name... we were there 12/2 around 4:00pm). We ordered a cheeseburger, homemade tots and a salad! The salad was fresh and crisp. We didn't really care for the flavor in the burger or the tots, but my husband loved his drink and the service was amazing, so we decided to give it 5 stars!

Brussel sprouts - Good. Worth ordering I suppose. Smokey. Hot chicken - it was okay. Medium flavor and spicy taste but no sting which was fine. Wouldn't order it again. Crunchy bits were excessively crunchy. Chicken sandwich - disappointing. Was hoping the peach jam would add something to just a boring chicken sandwich. Overall: meh. Don't waste your time. There's SO many other restaurants don't waste your time. Best part was the glass my drink came in I could keep! Service was embarrassingly slow with no apologies and the manager and our waitress were bickering which was awkward. Would never go back. 3 stars is being generous. Live music wasn't good either.

Stopped into Ole Red for a quick bite to eat. The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. My wife got the barn and grill burger and I had the hillbilly bone pig wings (deep fried baby back ribs), definitely can't go wrong with either. Our waitress Brittany was awesome, she kept the drinks full and was professional and friendly.

This is your good ole good time country bar in the state that is the birthplace of country music. I first had Ole Red last year in Nashville, but I was bar hopping that night, so this was my first time trying their food and specialties. I came here with my brother as well as my dad. Now, my brother may not be a drinker anymore, but my dad and I will still drink. I was the one to actually have a specialty, going with their Mango Sunrise where you get to keep the glass they serve it to you in. That glass will be coming back to Connecticut with me. The drink was the right amount of sweet that I need to mask the liqueur. We had the Cheese Curds for our appetizer, and I'll speak for what I had with the Kiss My Country Chicken Sammich. Both of these were actually pretty good and quite filling. I didn't need anything else to eat after that. My go-along with the sammich were their tots, which were mad crispy! These were actually pretty big for tater tots, and when done well, it's paradise to eat. These were darn good. If there was one thing I would have liked more, it's that I would have liked to see more live performances while I was there. When we arrived there was a decently good-looking woman performing a country cover of Dancing Queen, but after that it was a while before we got any more live music. By the time that restarted, we were about finished. Maybe we came while they were on break or needed to clean the stage or something. Still would have been nice to see more of that while I was actually there.

Food was good, but seemed like it was priced based on the "brand" and not so much the serving size/wow factor. Drinks are an impressive size - you do get a souvenir cup so they are a little more expensive but I think the cups you get in the restaurant were cuter than the ones in the gift shop. The server was great! Super personable and had good recommendations. The inside was really cool - live music round the clock so it always feels like a good time! Definitely would go back.

Food was great. Laid back atmosphere with fantastic music... listen and follow Elijah wise music!! Service was fantastic! Rosemary was phenomenal and personable! She made our experience even more enjoyable!

Ok, this is worse burger ever!!!! "The Oklahoma Onion Burger" DO NOT GO to Ole Red in Gatlinburg for a meal. $17.00 for the worlds tiniest burger. If anything avoid ordering burgers unless you have had gastric bypass pass or eat basically nothing.. Blake Shelton should be ashamed of this place.

Stopped in here for dinner mainly because we enjoy a bit of live music when we go out. The place was fairly nice, the entire place was centered around the stage, so there wasn't a bad seat in the place for enjoying the music. The food was just ok, the brisket sandwich was dry and burnt, with no real smoky flavor at all, the "crispy" pork chop was covered in so much of the apple chutney that it was a bit soggy. The fried pickles were pretty good though. They had a pretty limited beer menu, I tried the Ole Red Amber, which was ok. My wife enjoyed the She Shed (mixed drink). The service was terrific! our server was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I would say this is typical for a celebrity owned chain restaurant. If it weren't for the live music (which was great that night), we would have been pretty disappointed

Fun crowded Long wait Sat at bar Out of glasses. Oh well Still had a grad band playing country and fan favorites. Can't beat a little country def leopard followed by prince!! Tons of bachelorette parties going on! Fun place

My husband and I had dinner here the first night of our honeymoon. Our server was amazing and there was live music playing. I got the Salisbury steak but on this entree (and a few others), you could not change the sides. So it came with corn, green beans and potatoes. The green beans I wasn't a fan of (very under seasoned even with salt and pepper added) but everything else was good). My husband had gotten a burger and said it was great. It was a good dinner but since they are so strict with the sides on some of the plates (and they weren't even that great) it took it down a star for us.

Service was great, ambiance and vibe with live music was great. However we went there to eat and the food was terrible. Very chain restauranty (which should be expected), frozen food warmed up when ordered. Highly recommend as a bar for drinks and live music, but I would eat somewhere else.

I hope tiny beers doesn't become a trend. I could barely hold the glass in my hand it was so small. Music was good, service was great. $7 for a mini beer brought our group to a good, rolling laugh before we decided to go somewhere for a real pint.

So I realized I never took pictures of my food. I was so caught up in the band that I forgot. So let's start with the food. I got the wings by the pound and it came with 12 fat wings that were smoked. Now these wings made me change my opening of smoked wings. They were still crispy on the outside. I had them mix the garlic parm and ole red sauce together. 10/10 for sauce. My sister got the kiss my grilled chicken sammach. The chicken was so big that it was well out of the bum( not complaining) the homemade tator tots were delicious but think ranch should come with them. Now for the atmosphere, whelp what can I say when you are basically sitting stage side for free while you eat listening to country music. Does it get any better than that? They played original songs, as well as covers that we all know and love. I did not feel like I was being rushed to leave once you could see we were done eating and just listening to the music. I think that had to do more with the waitress not really attentive to our table. I felt that she could have been a little bit more available compared to other waitresses I was watching. Another great spot on the strip to sing, dance and listen to some good ole country music.

The live music was very good, and it was super cool to listen to the band while we ate, however it was very loud. The grilled chicken salad was pretty good. The chicken sandwiches were good and the burger were good too. Everything was just fine, nothing amazing. The server was ok. This place was extremely overpriced!!!!!! Expect to spend over $20 on a mediocre entre.

Shout out to the best server - Rosemary for the great attention to the details & ensuring we all had what was necessary at the table - the food was amazing & there is Gluten free options! Also I love how I was able to customize my salad due to certain diet restrictions- highly recommend!!!

Live music was great, Aaron Walker definitely needs to continue to play there. But the food was so cold by the time we got it (mind you it wasn't busy) and wasn't tasty at all. The best part was seeing the fun photo shot area and then walking out of there.

It was a pretty rough experience at ole red. They don't take reservations so I was fully expecting a long wait (1hr and 1/2) but the long wait between ordering a food was brutal (1hr and the food didn't even come at the same time for our group) the waitress seemed really uninterested in serving me r being there or acknowledging us at all. Probably because the large group tip was required... I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and they were bomb - didn't include a single carrot or celery but plenty of wings. The cider was good too- served in a cold tall boy and not crazy expensive. Did I mention I got charged for an extra ranch? No idea I was ordering extra ranch but okay. It was fine if you love loud music and just want to chill but we won't be back

Stopped in to look around the gift shop. Blake Shelton is one of my favorite artists. Decided to sit down and have a bite. We ordered iced tea and fried pickles. Both were very good, even though a little pricey- but what isn't here in Gatlinburg. Live music- Ian Davis was on stage. Easy to listen to. Server was good- didn't get his name though. We will stop in again.

2nd time stopping here, last time we came for dinner & music today we just came in to set at the bar, have a drink & an appetizer. We had the pretzel bake, which is so good! Bartender was very nice & attentive, drinks were made fast & food arrived quickly. Definitely recommend!!

Service by the bar was spot on! The ladies were quick and made sure we were doing ok the whole time we were seated. Redneck nachos were good. Not a lot of meat though. Love singers were great- got to see both this bar and the one in Nashville this week! Nice and clean place

Stopped in here because we had a coupon for free fried pickles and they have live music. The pickles were good but not worth the $15 price tag it would have cost if it wasn't free. Ordered a chicken sandwich for another $15 and it was very subpar. Bun appeared to be Wonder bread from a bag, breast was so small the bun dwarfed it and the lettuce was wilted. The gator tots were good. The live music was not good. The air conditioning was cool and the dark room gave a relief from the crowded streets on the strip.

I really wanted to love this place! I'm a Blake Shelton fan and enjoy live music. Here's my overall opinion: Pros: - went on a Thursday night and was told it was going to be a bit of a wait but got to sit and enjoy the live music while we waited and it only ended up waiting maybe 10 mins - there's no bad seat in this place. You can get a good view of the stage pretty much anywhere you are seated - our waitress was super sweet and patient with our questions about the menu as I have celiac disease - the artist performing was awesome and super interactive Cons: - almost no gluten free options other than buns for the burgers - felt overpriced to me. For 3 drinks and 2 appetizers we paid $90 (without tip) - we got nachos and pretzels. Both were mediocre. I was hungry so I ate the nachos but wasn't impressed. Id go again and just sit at the bar and get a drink while enjoying the live music. Wouldn't bother trying food again. I really wish they had more gluten free choices.

Ole red is such a fun place to eat. Great music, food, and decor. Can't wait to go back! The taco salad is HUGE!!

Chorizo doesn't belong on a brisket sandwich. Not enough wait staff. Enjoyed the music.

I love country music and one of my favorite artists is Blake Shelton, so obviously we had to come here. My overall favorite part of the scenery was the upside down tractor. I got the grilled cheese with tots, and let's just say that was the best grilled cheese and tots I have ever had in my entire life, you could tell that the tots were freshly handmade, 11/10. My dad got a brisket sandwich 8.9/10. My mom got a taco salad 8/10. They had the best sweet tea. They had live music and the singer was super funny. I liked how she would try to connect to the audience. And there wasn't many people there so we got our food in under 10 minutes.

Music was really loud and waitress could not hear our order, therefore got it wrong, and she didn't care. Couldn't even talk to each other because of the music, so the four of us just sat there and waited a long time for the food. The food was barely warm when we got it and it wasn't what we ordered. We didn't want to wait another 45 minutes so we ate a little of it and got the heck out of there. Never to return.

Food was phenomenal!! We stopped in for a later dinner- ordered a burger w/tots & a smoked brisket sandwich w/fries. Live music was a huge bonus!! waitress was extremely nice and patient with us. restaurant is well kept & easy to navigate through. Located in the downtown strip of Gatlinburg- there's not parking around the restaurant however there are a ton of parking garages/locations near by within a short walking distant.

It has the typical chain restaurant feel. Food was below average , however , I liked that they had gluten free buns. I did like that there was live entertainment. So the stars come from that. Sorry , I really wanted to love it

We were in Gatlinburg and stopped in Ole Red. Caught it at a good time between lunch & dinner crowd. We were seated promptly and our waiter took our drink order. I'm pretty sure the restaurant was short staffed because the service was pretty slow. I could see empty tables waiting to be cleared even though there was now a good amount of people waiting for a table. Again, the service was slow. There was a live show on the stage, so the time went by quickly. We ordered the chicken fried chicken and it took awhile to get our order, Close to 45 minutes. The food was good. I would come back to give it a second chance since our meal was good.

We went in and sat right down and the service was FANTASTIC! The waiter we had was so attentive even with a full house. Elijah was singing some great songs and the mood was incredible! Thanks for a great experience

Swing in for a beer or three and enjoy the live music and feeling of hearing live country music and even dancing. Bar staff was nice and responsive but it wasn't too busy on the Sunday night I was there. There are deals on glasses if you buy more than one drink it pays. As far as food, it's a celebrity bar so I would imagine it's typical fare and if you're looking for a quality meal you should probably just come here afterwards. I really enjoyed the music. I had 2 beers, wife had 1 cocktail and kids had a mocktail each. The adult drinks came with souvenir cups. $65 total then tip. Pretty darn pricey for what it was but no regrets.

The service was excellent. Our waitress, Destiny, was Sweet!!! The fried chicken with gravy was tasty and they nailed the Old Fashioned!

It's severely over priced, menu is basic and nothing I've tried is memorable. Service staff is friendly.

What an absolutely enjoyable time. We wandered up for dinner and was able to grab a front row table to the stage. It's a 2 story restaurant, so there are plenty of good seats with a view of the live entertainment. We ordered some fried pickles for an appetizer... OMG! Quite possibly the best we've ever had! These were followed by an order of meat loaf - highly recommended & chicken fried steak - tremendous. You get large portions with every order too. The wait staff is on their toes at all times. While it was very busy, we were taken care of perfectly. The drinks from the bar were spot on and refreshing. Don't forget to drop by the gift shop before leaving!
