Michigan Liquor Shortage Causes Headache for Detroit Bars and Restaurants | Eater Detroit

"A regional restaurant chain is converting some full table-service locations to a counter-service, fast-casual format known as Olga’s Fresh Grille; the concept was piloted in Royal Oak and the company plans to convert its Troy location to the new format next year." - Brenna Houck

Divinely Reviewed: Olga’s Kitchen (Woodward – Michigan) Unfortunately, my recent visit to Olga’s Kitchen on Woodward was disappointing from start to finish. Our Olga sandwiches were rung up incorrectly—they left off the lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard when we only asked to remove the tomato. This meant we had to wait again for the correct sandwiches, causing the rest of our food to sit. To add to the confusion, one of the sandwiches was served on a plate that had random grains of rice on it, with no explanation given. This left us wondering if the plate was clean or if a mistake had been made. It didn’t stop there—one of our salads were forgotten and only brought out after we asked for it. And even after all of these errors, when we reminded them about the fries we had originally ordered, we were still asked to go back to the register and pay for them separately instead of offering them as a courtesy for the inconvenience. I truly enjoy supporting restaurants, but this visit lacked attention to detail and basic customer care. I hope they use this feedback to create a better experience for future guests. #DivineDestinations #DivinelyReviewed #DivineIvriy #Reflection #OlgasKitchenWoodward

Been to several Olga's so I wasn't going to review this one. But it is so different from the rest I've been to it seems necessary. First, it's loud. Music is loud, all the other conversations add to it, plus sounds from the kitchen. Needs sound deadening materials now! I can only imagine the headaches the staff get daily. The layout is odd. You order at a short counter with the menu displayed on screens above, they give you a number, you fill your cup at the fountain dispenser, grab some napkins & utensils then you pick a seat. Sounds like those golden arches places, right? So far, yes, sadly. The staff is nicer, though. The food a higher quality. Menu is significantly shorter, though. There is outdoor seating, as well, on the north side.

I had one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in years at Olga’s Kitchen today. I came in during lunch around 2:00 PM on 12/12/25 and chose to dine in, and later placed a to-go order as well. From start to finish, the customer service was outstanding. Tara assisted with my to-go order, but honestly the entire staff contributed to making the experience exceptional. The energy, professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were on another level. The atmosphere was great: good music, great food, and a team that clearly enjoys what they do and takes pride in it. What really stood out to me is that this level of service doesn’t happen by accident. Customer service has a trickle-down effect. When leadership is solid, it shows in the staff, and it absolutely showed here. Everyone was respectful, engaged, and welcoming. It’s rare these days to experience customer service like this, and they truly exceeded the mark. I left genuinely impressed and appreciated. Please recognize this team, they’re doing something right!

Ordered delivery. Whose smart idea was it to pack a large order into ONE FLOPPY bag, instead of separate the soup???? THE SOUP SPILLED ALL OVER OUR ORDER. ALL OF OUR SANDWICHES WERE SOGGY AND INEDIBLE. It is not even the delivery person’s fault because this bag is completely sealed. It is the restaurants fault for packaging it this way. Other restaurants always separate the soup into a different bag. I think Olga’s is just being cheap but now dinner is ruined.

Google
They have never gotten a single order right. Not a single one. For example I got a BBQ salad and this is what they gave me. Plain salad with ranch. I genuinely don’t know how a place can mess up every order. It’s wild. 1. How hard is it to read a receipt and match the receipt to the order? 2. The manager doesn’t even care to make things right. Team Schostak Family should do a complete overhaul of who works there. Hope they see this.

Google
It’s all a little different you come in and you order and they bring the food to your table. It’s not like the one I’m accustomed to, but I would say it’s still a 10 out of a 10 so the one I’m accustomed to as you come in they see you and then someone comes and take your order. This does cut down on wait staff so this one is pretty good as well so don’t meet me there. Beat me there.

Google
Olga's Kitchen sent me a free dessert reward through the app, so I had to claim it, and I couldn't possibly visit without getting their Spinach and Cheese Pie, too! I tried the Spinach and Cheese Pie for the first time earlier this year, and it is incredible! The phyllo is crispy and flaky, which perfectly contrasts the creamy spinach and feta cheese. You've got to give it a shot! The Cinnamon Sugar Snackers take their best bread and elevate it with cinnamon sugar and cream cheese frosting! There wasn't as much cinnamon sugar on them this time around, but their bread is incredible on its own, so anything added to it just makes it better! Not to mention that cream cheese frosting is amazing! Edit: This location is phenomenal! I love the food and the service is even better! All of the staff is extremely kind and they're always happy to help!

Google
The food has taken a serious turn for the worse. No one felt well after the meal. I do not know if this is specific to this location, but it no longer functions as a true restaurant. You order at the counter like fast food, yet wait as long or longer than table service, without a server or proper pacing. The meals came out one at a time, with more than 15 minutes between the first and last person being served. The staff was kind, but clearly very inexperienced.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to Olga's! The food is consistently great--Olga's Peasant Soup is absolutely delicious, and I order it almost every time I visit. The Original Olga is always a solid choice, and the Snackers with that buttery spread are just amazing. The service at this location is also rock solid. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that I'm not a big fan of the fast-food-style ordering process. I prefer traditional table service, but that's just a personal preference. Other than that, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
I would give this Olga's negative stars if I could. Honestly, I do not know where to begin... The cashier said all of the kids meals incorrectly when I asked for two, both with the same sides, only different sandwiches... I should have turned around and walked out at that first red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and even apologized if I had said it incorrectly. I ordered the same soup in a bowl and 2 cups and that came out first with the smallest, but with scattered pieces of 'snacker bits', we'll call them, that I have ever seen in my life! I wish I had snapped a photo at this point, but I was so blown away by the lack of food that's supposed to be a side... no way and we were still waiting for the rest of our order. We waited another 20 minutes before someone even came to check and see if we received any other food. Right after that, my cold Shwarma arrived and then only a magical moment later my kid's Mac n' cheese side. I noticed right away that the cheese wasn't melted AT. ALL. So I took one scoop and it was stone cold! Not warmed up in the slightest. If the cheese sprinkled on top is still cold to the touch, this isn't prepared fresh or even microwaved at this point. Gross. By the time my partners fries and Olga came out, we had all started to eat our food at different times, had to send some back and everything was terrible. Seriously subpar food and service. I paid almost $80.00 for mediocre food. At best. Olga's used to care about their food and their waitstaff and I no longer think that's true. In fact, when the server asked us if we "finally had everything" I said, "yeah, finally." They replied, "We're just really busy." But the truth is, you could hear the waiters laughing and dancing in the back, and MULTIPLE tables were going without food around us as well. Enjoy your work experience, but also be proud of what you produce and how you do so! What a disappointing, downhill experience. We won't be returning and that's sad for the Olga's establishment.

Yelp
Our plan was to grab food to-go and have a picnic at the Detroit Zoo but when I walked in to order I noticed Kids Eat Free on Sundays! It was a great surprise so we had an actual sit down meal. Cashier was kind and friendly. I ordered an original Olga with 3-cheese and the Olgasauce on the side. I specifically said I like to dip my Olga in the sauce. The employee thanked me for knowing how to order, because apparently it's a struggle for others. Our wait time was as expected. While waiting we went to get our drinks but the flavored syrups on the machine were not working. Our food was hot, delicious, and as expected but my Olga did not have Olgasauce on the side. Our snacker basket was also forgotten about. I mentioned the snackers but they were never brought. Once we were almost done eating I went back to the employee and let her know we never got it and if it could be packed to-go that would be appreciated. She apologized and eventually brought it out as we were cleaning our table. The floor of the entire establishment was sticky. It felt like a stadium/arena with every step you take your shoe makes that "fun" sound. Perhaps it's the cleaning product they use but it was awkward. The bathrooms were clean. I'm assuming the doorknob kept putting a hole in the wall but they did a cheap job covering the hole. At least paint it the same color as the wall. Nonetheless, good stop to or from the zoo!

Yelp
This is the best remaining Olga's I have found. While visiting from California. The bread seems fresher and the overall experience reminds me of the original location in Birmingham. Very nostalgic souvlaki that reminding me Of my childhood in Detroit.

Yelp
It's been years since I had Olga's; I was obsessed with it as a kid. I ordered via DoorDash since I've been craving it and the food is still really good. Unfortunately, they barely give you any food now. I know that food costs have increased but for the amount of money you're paying even pre-delivery fees, the least they can do is give you more than a tiny amount of salad. This is the reason that chain restaurants are crumbling and closing. I doubt I'll be back for awhile. Fix the portion sizes!

Yelp
Great food! The manager is wonderful and very helpful! Great spot for lunch. Grap you a gyro and some snackers!!
google avatar

Yelp
We carried out. We were very disappointed with the side of vegetables (below). It was like a teaspoon and were charged too much for it. Not right!!

Robert R.

Yelp
Food was cold and took forever. Unfortunate A this is not the first time I've had bad service at this location. Not going back.

Yelp
This is the worst Olga's ever. The service is slow and the food is terrible. I waited close to 20 minutes for a bowl of White Bean Chicken Chili and when I received it; there were bits of old, chewy chicken/bones and the chicken was cubed instead of pulled like it used to be. Also, the broth/base was very watery. Luckily, I checked my order while still at the restaurant and I went back to the cashier and she offered me a refund along with another item. Seeing as that I'm on a limited diet and I'd ordered the most expensive soup offering, I politely declined. She insisted it was on the house and I chose another watery, disgusting Peasant's Soup lamb soup. I don't know if they water the soup down at the end of the day, but this one was even more disgusting than the first. Not to mention, rather than crediting my purchase back to my card as requested; I was given a meal comp card. Now, why on earth would I ever want to eat here again? It's a shame that Olga's will likely be out of business soon with the poor changes they made--if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Elise S.

Yelp
They messed up my orders had no lids when I asked for one she never gave it to me had dirty to go containers Food was not that good because they put the wrong stuff on all my orders

Yelp
I've been coming to Olga's for so many years, and this is my favorite one! The team is amazing and they keep it very clean. Sharon and everyone else were so nice. Even when it gets busy during the lunch rush they have your order in and out in no time! The original Olga is my go to but their hellfire sauce is so good I had to get the hellfire Olga while they had it. Delicious and the smackers are always so good.

Yelp
Haven't been to an Olga's in a couple of years. Always loved the original Olga, fries, snackers, cheese balls, coolers, etc. ; so I was excited to go here. Ordered an original Olga and fries. They no longer have the fried cheese balls. Well, the Olga meat has CHANGED, it is less flavorful and seems to be more beef than lamb. In other words....YUCK!!! Fries were cold. We did also order some snackers, which were good. Sad to say this, but the meat was so awful I will NEVER go back!!! I used to love this place...
google avatar

K L.

Yelp
Wow used to be fabulous, after plenty of tries I see they just don't care !tonights sandwich original Olga was all grizzle disgusting taste . on door dash you can not take certain items off and I was worried about the onions. Not to worry about there was only a half a piece thrown on the sandwich. Olga must be so disappointed. You know she's watching . the smackers were tasty and my Dor Dash was fabulous. He was later then expected but I knew he would be waiting standing in the restaurant while someone felt like putting my order together. When this store opened there was a husband and wife team that worked together and this store was incredible living up to the traditions of Olgas but they have left (smart) they saw what was coming

Yelp
This is my favorite Olga's. The food is always fresh. The staff is nice, and we're there on a weekly basis, and they know us. If you're a rewards member, they have specials all the time. Nice atmosphere.

Chris B.

Yelp
I'm currently stuck to the floor. Can't even walk. Restaurant is filthy. McDonald's is cleaner. Overpriced garbage food. Olga is turning over in her grave if she saw what Schostak did do the business. Update: I got unstuck and tried to pick up a to go order today. I thought I was in a YMCA rec center. Why do all the employees have AirPods in dribbling basketballs. No management. No service. I didn't think the place to get any worse.

Lauren J.

Yelp
I ordered doordash. My Olga's snackers came with no almond cheese dip and had a crazy amount of seasoning on them. They were inedible. Usually that's the only reason i order from Olga's. I did respond to the email below and they did not respond.

Kathleen A.

Yelp
So disappointed that they jumped on the battered fry bandwagon. They used to have really good fries that complemented the sandwiches nicely.

Darlene M.

Yelp
I've gone there several times in the past and always order the veggie Olga, and it was absolutely delicious but tonight, my friend and I ordered it and it was very disappointing. It wasn't grilled it wasn't hot. The vegetables were raw and I doubt that that I'll ever go back. When we talked to employee about the difference, she said she's had a lot of complaints so you would think if they've had a lot of complaints they go back to how it used to be to be made!
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Olga's used to be a reliably good fast casual dining experience, but in the last few years they've converted over to more of a quick-serve restaurant chain and they now have a significantly different vibe. The food is still consistently good, but the experience is meh. Without waitstaff, the onus is put on the customer to get their own silverware and discard their own food, so the cleanliness of the restaurants are really hit or miss. Prices are a little high for the portion sizes and dining experience, but as I already noted, the food is delicious. I popped into the Royal Oak Olga's today for lunch and the dining room felt kind of grimy. The silverware all appeared dirty to the point that I opted for plasticware, the soft drink machine was dripping water, and many tables were waiting to be bussed (by whom, I'm not entirely sure). The food is good enough that I'll probably be back, but really would appreciate more attention paid to ensuring cleanliness of the dining area.

Debra U.

Yelp
Service was fast . Husband food was good at least that is what he is saying he doesn't like to complain. My food was an absolute mess. I wish the executives would come and order carry out from this location because it is disgusting Spanish pie was soggy and over cooked and barely any Spanish in it. I had a piece of something in my ham and cheese that I didn't know what it even was . I keep trying this location because I go to others and have good food , but it always the same for me with this location.

Debra B.

Yelp
What happened to the fries.. they have a coating on, are greasy.. they are awful...they used to be a spiral potato without a coating.. you could have seasoning or not..now with the coating they hold the grease and taste like grease... can we get the other fries back
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
The food was amazing and fresh. The service was great and very clean dinning area and bathrooms.

Terri V.

Yelp
Order two bowls of the Peasant soup at the Southfield location. It was red water with a few vegetables. Abosoultly terrible. This used to be the best soup around. They need to go back to the original recipe.
google avatar

Jeremy N.

Yelp
I haven't been to an Olga's in a long time, so we decided to stop in at a location near our house. A lot has changed since we both had been to an Olga's. They have a much simpler menu and (at least at this location), you walked up to order rather than being waited on. I got a ham and swiss wrap with a small order of snackers and my fiance got the broccoli soup with a salad. Our orders came out pretty quick (even though they forget my snackers so I had to go up and ask for them again) and the food was pretty hot (except for the salad, obviously). There's tons of seating in here and it seemed like they were cranking out orders pretty quickly. There's limited parking though in the lot so be prepared.
google avatar

Libby F.

Yelp
Such an improvement since my last review. We beat the lunch crush at 11:30. Our cashier, India was sweet and cordial. My mom's new favorite deal is the 1/2 Olga with two sides for $6.89. It's really seems like more than half. Quite a good deal considering my full-sized three cheese Olga costs $6.79. The place was really clean and the manager stopped by to check on us. If you have the Yelp app, don't forget to check in to get your free dessert. Get the warm brownie with ice cream. Yum! They don't have the bread pudding at this location.
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
I don't live in Michigan these days, and the last time I had Olga's was in Twelve Oaks Mall, at a location that isn't even there anymore! So while visiting MI this week-end and running around with my aunt, we made a pit stop at this one for dinner. Good choice! She said she had never been at a location that didn't have waitresses; indeed, this is more "fast casual": you order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. (I saw in the Free Press a few weeks ago that Olga's is undergoing changes, so perhaps this is part of it.) It seemed to work smoothly enough, even with me not being super familiar with the menu these days. My choice, the original Olga and a side of zuchinni fries, was the perfect choice. That pillowy Olga bread was just as good as I remembered, and I got more Olga sauce to dip the lightly battered zuchinni strings in (rather than the sauce they came with, which was more strident). My aunt had a burger, also on Olga bread, and the curly fries, and enjoyed as well. A great Michigan treat!
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
They don't know what they are doing. They can't handle all the orders, the pick ups, the diners. Panic behind the counter. I watched a lot of movement, but yet nothing was really getting done. Take your money to people that actually take some pride in what they do for a living.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Best thing there is their Olga bread. I used to be forced to eat here regularly because my awful ex's kids liked their chicken tender, curly fries, Olga's salad and the 3 cheese Olga and my taste-bud-less ex liked their regular lamb Olga sandwich (can anyone say, boring?) I used to get a plain spinach salad with some veggies and the dressing on the side, because otherwise their house salad is always so soggy and since I have never found a sandwich I like there. The Olga's at 14 Mile Oakland mall at least has a Sante Fe wrap, but of course that is only at that location. Their Olga bites with the cheese spread is decent, but it would never be on my top 20 places to go to - ever. Luckily I am no longer 'coerced' to go there since the ex got the boot. Happily eating elsewhere.
google avatar

Sheri S.

Yelp
A horrible, nasty place! Just imagine ending your long day as a staff writer for a newspaper only to end up requesting your money back after ordering a salad and a cup of coffee. Yep, that's how bad the service was. I searched practically every open table for a clean one and finally found one near the entrance that was only "so-so". Oh, did I mention the area underneath my table was sticky? Eww! The kicker to this experience is the manager, little Miss McKinna, who snatched a receipt out of my hand when I requested a refund after I asked my server why my bread was being served to me balled in a bag instead of a plate. His response..."we're out of plates." Are you kidding me? It's dinner time! Long story short, this location on Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak, Mich. is poorly managed, dirty and not even worth the bother. There are many other restaurants in this area that offer great food and professional service. Unfortunately, this restaurant doesn't offer either.
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
I like Olga's. I've liked it since it first opened in Birmingham. It's a Michigan original. What I don't like are many of the kids working at this location, spending more time screwing around talking than taking pride in having a job. I had to go get our food off the warming counter myself as 3 employees stood around doing absolutely nothing in an empty restaurant (7:30pm on Saturday). I wouldn't write this review if not for experiencing similarly bad service here the last several times. I realize this is a stepping stone job for many of these employees but c'mon kids, take a little pride in what you do. FOLLOW UP- You can put lipstick on a pig but that doesn't make her a model. This Olga's just had a mild cosmetic upgrade but the money would've been better spent training their staff. I'm not sure what exactly is the root problem with this location but once again I've had a crappy experience here. First of all, Olga sandwich sizes vary here by 50% depending on the day. Wanna eat at the same time as the person with you? Probably not. Food comes out in stages. Tonight I finished eating my Olga and Snackers and had to flag down a worker to bring me the side salad he said he'd bring 10 minutes earlier. It's a side salad for God's sake! And it came out 20 minutes after the rest of my meal. Salad for dessert?? I guess so at Olga's
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Olga's for over 30 years. I've had the pleasure of meeting Olga and she's awesome. Sad to say that the Woodward location would make her heart stop. The people that work there have poor attitudes. They could care less if you come in and spend money. The site is filthy and a bit of a disarray. This isn't a one time experience either. Four times over the last couple of years where the workers forgot what I ordered, took an excessive amount of time to bring part of my order. I don't understand how I could get an original Olga, then not get my Olga sald for fifteen minutes. I'm not a picky customer. I don't have complicated orders. A friend asked me why I never go there anymore. See above..... Where is the service?????

Christine M.

Yelp
Olga sandwich was very dry and bland. The curly fries were cold and soggy ending putty in the whole bag in the garbage
google avatar

Hi C.

Yelp
Fresh food, good customer service! Make sure to pick the right sandwich ... You really customize them ... It's easier to do it online !

Sherri R.

Yelp
The last two times I've been to this location I've waited more than 30 minutes for my order. This time, I ordered the soup and salad combo, but the host rang it up for two separate entrees and overcharged me. When will they get it together?
google avatar

Eve M.

Yelp
This HAS to be a joke. Every time I order food to go I look in the bag and my food is wrong. I don't know if they hate me or what but something is ALWAYS wrong. I am no longer a customer here. I paid $4 extra for SIDE SAUCES and they can't even fill up the SMALL plastic cup. Workers are rude and unhelpful. Wait is always 20+ minutes even when my order is ready to go. Needs new management. Place had a sad slow vibe to it.
google avatar

Tony S.

Yelp
I like this location and it's outdoor seating area. The ordering process can be a little rushed so I would suggest reading the menu near the South doors first. The challenge for me is that this particular Olga's doesn't sell the Steak Olga which is all I ever eat there so..... there's that. Overall a nice place, just wish they opened their menu up a bit
google avatar

Linda G.

Yelp
Ugh. Appetizers came with food. Soup came last and cold. Bill wasn't adjusted to reflect because they basically don't care ‍ Best part was the pita bread..hard to mess that up!
google avatar

Madeline B.

Yelp
Much more limited menu than other Olga's locations. Before the pandemic it was always hard to find a parking spot and have your items come out correctly. Basically every time I have gone there something in my order is incorrect. And the menus that they have for people is difficult to read and normally results in me reading the menu to family members who have trouble reading small font on a computer/electronic screen.
google avatar

Dorothea B.

Yelp
Hardly ever clean. Have had several bad experiences although I did not complain I just won't go back there. Have to ask for everything over and over! The caucasian manager was disrespectful but I still was respectful and still tipped but I'm a good person. That location is just horrible.
google avatar

Scott C.

Yelp
Good food but bad service, the people working here mess up simple orders routinely. I don't want to go to place where I have to manage my server to make sure they do their job. I can't wait till min wage goes up because no business would pay 15$ for incompetent workers.
google avatar

Christinia S.

Yelp
This Location Is Horrible The Runner For Carry Out Will Give Your Order By Race And Or Skin Color Yes It's True It Happen To Me More Than (4) Times He Had My Order Every Time In His Hand Bringing It To My Car Than Seeing Friends Or Other Customers He Turn To Go Back In To Get Their Orders Standing There Waiting For Their Orders After Getting The Two Other Orders He Takes Their Orders To Them Than Bringing My Order Last (4) Times Isn't An Error It's Done Because He Made A Choice The Manager Said They Would Handle The Issue I Haven't Been Back Yet My Family And I Have Come To Olga's For 34 Years It's Sad To Know The Service Has Been Down Graded...
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
This location is like a fast food place where you order and receive a number to put at your table and they will drop off your food ... no thanks I prefer a server especially when paying the same price for the food. The patio is open and there is plenty of seating inside and out. Food was ok nothing fancy they have cut down on the portions too.

Sam S.

Yelp
I've been to many Olga locations throughout the years and this was the first time at this specific location. I must say from ordering through the phone app, to pickup, and finally eating the meal everything was exceptional! The Olga's app was extremely easy to use without any difficulty. I also like the fact that they have a rewards program! Everything in my order was fresh and correct and ready to go upon pick up. I was even a few minutes early! My only suggestion would be to have more vegetarian options. They have one veggie pita or a grilled cheese which are not enough options considering all the ingredients used for other menu items. Overall great experience!
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
First time at a Fresh Market Grill of the Olga's variety. Slightly different premise but basically the same menu. I stopped in for a quick take out lunch. I ordered the combo which came with a small Mediterranean pita, small Olga salad and zucchini fries. Let's start with the pros: Mediterranean pita was excellent in flavor and quantity. It was really jammed packed with chicken. The zucchini fries were super delicious and the dipping sauce was so yummy I could eat it by itself. The sauce seemed to have a horseradish kick to it, giving it some extra spice! My order was always ready very quickly, less than 10 mins. Now the cons: the salad!! I mean seriously how can a Greek salad be bad? But it was! Mostly because the dressing was so full of oregano or something of that sort that I was choking on it. It was just not appetizing. The good news is that I was full from the pita and zucchini fries so I didn't care that much!

Yelp
I love Olga's but this is the worst location I've ever been to. I picked up my food and I wish I would have checked it before I left. I ordered a large Olga's salad and there was not ONE kalamata olive on it. Everyone knows those are the best part! I also got a side of snackers and I wish I was over exaggerating, but I only got about a tsp. portion of the cheese that comes with them. Never again.

Yelp
Ok food but the loud music makes it a bad experience. If I wanted to go to a night club I'd go.

Yelp
Ordered the tangy bbq smoked pork sandwich. Very disappointed. It was drenched in mustard. Nowhere on the menu was this indicated nor was it a mustard based bbq sauce. Would have ordered without mustard if it had been indicated as I do not like mustard. Ordered the pickle on the side and the receipt indicated as such, however no pickle was ever served/delivered to the table. My spouse ordered the spinach pie. It was a precooked brick that apparently appears to be microwaved. The fries were actually ok, but they were served cold. This visit was at 5:30pm and was not full at all. So no big rush of customers. Do not recommend this Olga's. If you do please beware.

Yelp
I have always been an Olga fan. It used to be that their prices seemed out of line, but now in line with the rest of it's competitors. Similar to Pei-Wei that Sarah mentioned in her review. The $6.99 Olga Sandwich or gyro ($7.78 with a good portion of cheese) is a decent value and the taste is really great. Rest of our food was tasty and fresh made. Sides are good - the sweet potato fries are excellent (portions a tiny bit larger would make the $2.99 price a bit more reasonable) and the arugula salad was also well done. I agree with the reviewer that mentioned some problems with ordering and the crowd. It was ABUNDANTLY clear that the crew was still getting used to having customers, but I think they will iron that out in short order with the number of people coming in! One suggestion to the manager - TURN OFF the damn music during dinner rush. Turn it down or change from loud pop-rock to something a little less obtrusive. It was making everyone jumpy - you could see how tense every one was. Soothing is supposed to be the message NOT 80's dance club music - I assume. We ordered on the web and the transaction was pretty painless - placed web order - showed up, paid and food was ready and hot just about 5 minutes later than online time specified. Dinner for two people - 2 Olgas w/ cheese including, 1 with a salad and 1 with soup included, and 2 sides (Sweet Potato fries, Arugula salad) Total was $24. More expensive that than 'burger' fast-food by about $10 but well worth the difference and we would have foregone the sides except we wanted to try them, so we will probably spend $4-5 less next time. The space is great and new and the patio is really nice. We're not talking fine dining here, but certainly a welcome option to its competitors and better than 'fast' food.

Yelp
Awful. I'm a loyal Olga's-goer. I've met her several times, and my family has been going there since its very first restaurant opened. That said, this new rendition on the traditional Olga's staples is awful. Service was miserable -- never met people more unenthused to work in food service -- and the food was clearly frozen and barely reheated. I will never come back to this location.
