2025-10-13 - I stopped by Olive & Lamb in Minneapolis for lunch on 10/13/2025 around 1:20 PM and had a decent experience. I ordered the Falafel Pita, which was good, and the Baklava & Ice Cream for dessert, which was also tasty. The falafel and baklava are homemade, and it shows in the flavor and freshness. The Persian ice cream with saffron and rosewater was a unique and tasty touch. The server, Joey D., was pleasant, but he could have checked in more frequently to ensure everything was okay. I finished my pita sandwich before he noticed I was almost done and asked if everything was fine. I would have appreciated more onions in my sandwich, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. The ambiance was quiet when I arrived, but they turned on some music around 2:05 PM, which added to the atmosphere. Despite some minor issues, I would definitely come back to Olive & Lamb again. I'd be interested to explore the rest of their menu - there are many other items that caught my eye, and I'm looking forward to trying them.

The food, ambiance, and service all come together to merge into an incredible experience all at a pretty good price. We got the lamb shank and the gyro plate, and they came out on BIG platters. The gyro plate especially made my heart happy - a good variety on the plate, very good quality food, and generous portions. The meat was excellent. Everything was as it should be. The lamb shank wasn't bad too, the meat was tender and juicy and the sauce they provide with the rice was rich. The honey cake I heard about was delectable - creamy whipped cream on top which balanced and accompanied the honey sweetness and stickiness of the cake very well. Compared with other places, you get an amazing assortment and generous helpings with a great ambiance for a very reasonable price. We will be back!

Olive & Lamb was an awesome find. I’m in Minneapolis area for work and wanted something delicious and local. This fit the bill. Service was prompt and very kind. No rush but not waiting around either. The menu was straight forward. They know what they do and do it well. I tried the O&G Olives which are a delicious blend of sweet and salty. The pomegranate, walnut and garlic with the green olives was delicious. I wish it came with some pita to spread it on, but that didn’t slow me down. For my main I had the Lamb and Beef Kabob. I love Kafta and have great options in metro Detroit where I’m from and this kabob didn’t disappoint. It was seasoned perfectly and was grilled to perfection. Great char on the outside and a juicy bite inside. It was awesome. It’s a little confusing whether to order at the counter or the table, but the polite staff quickly told me the table was the place. Service was great. They do serve beer and wine though I didn’t partake. Great experience and for a really reasonable price.

Great Persian food experience. The kabobs were moist and tender and the homemade hummus and roasted eggplant dip were well seasoned and super fresh.

I came here after a fun day at Columbia Park and I was looking forward to eating tabouli salad 🥗 which was good. The parking lot is small, it parks 10 cars or so. I had to park two blocks away because it’s on a very busy residential street. The indoors seating is a little and not so fancy so we ate in the covered patio. The prices are pretty high, and the servers could be a little bit more attending. Most dishes $15-$30

Ambience: Super open and welcoming. Service: My hostess was really kind and helpful. Food: We got the tabbouleh and spanakopita to start. The spanakopita was a bit oily and soggy — maybe because it was the end of the day. For mains, we had the chicken wrap and the falafel rice bowl. My husband loved the chicken wrap — great seasoning. The rice bowl wasn’t my thing; lots of rice, tomato salad, and just five falafel, so it felt a bit rice heavy. The side sauce was actually really good though. Dessert: The saffron ice cream was subtle and delicious. The honey cake was way too sweet for me.

I try not to leave reviews like this and maybe my experience was a one-off since most people give this place good reviews. We ordered the Soltani, Hummus, Tabbouleh, and loaded gyro fries. The rice was literally wet, the meat was soft and moist but very under-seasoned (had to add salt and couldn't taste any flavor of spices), the tabbouleh wasn't fresh and also wet, and the hummus was underwhelming. The only thing that I enjoyed were the French fries which were fresh and hot. We tried to get the attention of our server, who was very nice, but very busy. I had to get up eventually and ask for the manager. I made it a point to tell the manager about our experience, but they said they couldn't do anything about it and that we had eaten part of the meal. I told them I tried to get someone's attention throughout the meal, but wasn't able to, and that we were hungry so kept on nibbling on the protein and fries in the meantime, but didn't eat anything else and they could see that. But no apologies were given or offer for a discount or take any items of the bill. Disappointing experience. Hopefully yours will be better.

Had a great experience at Olive and Lamb! The food was delicious, and the “Honey Cake” for dessert was absolutely heavenly. What really stood out was the incredible effort of our server, Kimia. She was running the entire restaurant by herself: taking orders, serving food, handling takeout, and working the register, all while staying friendly and attentive. Truly impressive! Kudos to her hard work and to the restaurant for such a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!
