It was my first visit and loved many vegitarian and vegan choices they had. Friendly staff. They have a large selection of balsamic vinegar and will definitely go back to try them. We also got some mushroom jerky snack which was good. They also had tasty olive oil.

Great spot with every option you can think of for oils. More than you could imagine. Spicy ones. Portuguese oils. There was a gochujang one and a smoky Japanese sesame seed oil. Definitely recommend trying for fun gifts for someone who likes to cook. Super nice guy there; took the time to show us everything and let us try it all. There’s a little place to sit down and relax while your partner shops as well. Cute mini gift sets. Best place to try a bunch of smaller ones. We got everything we need for snacks. Balsamic, really fun infused olive oils, pickled carrots and Mexican chocolate.

I’m so glad my friend showed me this gem of a gift shop. I loved trying all the olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The olive oil is cold pressed so very high quality and there are so many flavors to choose from- from classic aged olive oils to spicy or fruitier versions. This is a must stop shop for yourself or your foodie friends/family. Also shout out to the owner of the shop - he was patient and friendly as I made my way through the all the samples.

Steve, the proprietor, really knows his ish about olive oil and I go to him every time. I consider myself to have a refined palate for olive oil and he has never steered me wrong. Great prices, great selection, great service. This place is a can’t miss in RI!!

Cool olive oil and balsamic shop. There are vats of different flavors of each and you can sample and buy in various sizes. Some of the flavors are really interesting. They also have a variety of gourmet olives and other foods. I bought 3 small bottles and a jar of ocean and spent $28. We got a smoked olive oil, gojuchang olive oil, and cinnamon pear balsamic. Fun shop.

"Olive" you so much, Olive del Mondo! I love coming here to restock my olive oils, discover fun vinaigrettes and shop for the cooks in my life. The shop attendant shares plenty of knowledge on all the products and the cooking you can do with them, while encouraging you to try anything that catches your eye and interest. No suggestion has ever left me disappointed. To be frank, there's truly no other place for high-quality oils and vinaigrettes that elevate your cooking. My favorite part of each visit is trying the infused oils with bread samples, sometimes to the point where I'm convinced I'll walk out with one of the giant dispensers and a whole loaf. I usually leave with the rosemary-infused and toasted sesame oils. They come in different sizes and are dispensed right there in 60, 200, 375 or 750 ml bottles. Aside from being incredibly knowledgeable, the shop attendant is very welcoming, patient and happy to answer any questions. I really appreciate how the bottles are always handled and packed with care, often gift-ready with plenty of tissue paper for padding. Parking can be tricky at times but it's absolutely worth the visit for your cooking essentials and pantry-inspired gifts. On top of excellent customer service, there's a reason Olive del Mondo is an 11/10 in my book.

Best olive oil I have ever had. I was in Seven Stars bakery and they had a bottle of the Toscana Herb olive oil and realized it was from the shop across the street. I stopped inside this shop for Father's Day to grab a gift set and a larger bottle. When I told the owner what I was looking for, another woman mentioned that she wanted the same bottle after seeing it at Seven Stars! It's great how the shops support each other on Hope Street. The owner is personable and knowledgeable, definitely stop by!

Great olive oil selection! The knowledgeable fellow offers individual tastes with detailed info on each region and flavor combo. He was helpful with cooking suggestions too. I'm enjoying the garlic infused oil from Portugal for cooking, and the aged balsamic vinegar on veggies and salads. Also the store is nicely stocked with an interesting selection of olives, sauces, etc. A bonus was he carries my fav cocktail mixer that is hard to find by local BootBlack syrup producer. I had fun exploring this gem of a store.

Hands down, this is the best olive oil and all kinds of special oils! Some of my favorites are the honey ginger balsamic vinegar and the Japanese toasted sesame oil, and of course, the olive oil! The staff was super friendly and answered all my questions, plus they recommended some oils and balsamics that pair perfectly together! I can't wait to come back, and I also discovered the perfect gift shop for future holiday gifts!

Had no idea this place existed!! So glad my friend brought me here. I'm a huge lover of infused vinegars, oils, and honey. Love a place that allows sampling before purchase. Honestly I could have sampled it all!!! Bought some mango white balsamic vinegar but I highly recommend the fig!! Can't wait to create some deliciousness with my purchase!

Food: If you like olive oils and balsamic, then this is the place for you! There are a bunch of great flavored infused olive oils to choose from. I love the garlic, chipotle and truffle oils there. It's super tasty! Service: The staff is so nice. They told us we could sample as many types as we want, and we sure did! And while sampling, they let us know more about the types of olive oils and what is good to pair with it. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Ambiance: It's a small space but very organized. They packed in a good amount of containers full of different flavored olive oils, some treats, food items, gifts and more. Great place to buy a gift.

Great selection of oils, vinegars and seasoned oils for all types of tastes and flavors. We got some white truffle oil (they have black truffle oil as well). You can taste before purchasing, so you know what you like. The staff is helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Street parking is available.

I love the Olive Oil/Balsamic stores and I can't pass one without going in. This is a great one with a ton of selection and who doesn't love a free tasting. Definitely check it out if you are up on Hope Street!

This shop has incredible oils & vinegars! So worth the trip to Hope Street! Salvatore & Jennifer are very knowledgeable and friendly. They can point you in the right direction and have you try the oils, too. They also promote local food products, cue Ziggy & Fox Point Pickles --yum!! The variety of olive oils & vinegars is crazy!!! You definitely want to go and take your time tasting. This is a great shop and I picked up a new smoked olive oil to try as well as a bottle set for my mom. Best place for food gifts!!

First off, I just realized that the owner let me in when he was technically closed, so I'm now incredibly grateful for his patience in helping me finding a last-minute gift. Since I live around the corner and I have incredibly classy friends, I come here when I need something quick for a housewarming, a birthday, or a dinner party. The layout of the store is magnificent - spacious aisles separate vinegars and oils. Just like wine, lighter balsamics, with notes like grapefruit, are in their own section. I prefer to stick to the darker stuff - my favourites so far have been the cherry, the maple, and the cocoa. The owner is also excellent at recommending pairings - when I picked out a strawberry balsamic for my friend and asked for an olive oil to go with it, he instantly recommended the basil. Dude knows his stuff. Aside from the oils and vinegars, they do sell a few skin-care products that work fantastically and also make excellent gifts. Quality does come at a price (a 200mL bottle is $11), but it's worth it, and they have a rewards program where you can earn your way to your next bottle!

We've been waiting for years to see what would open up in this space, and I'm really excited that it's this interesting specialty shop. Filled with olive oils, vinegars and related products, the shop works like this: Each oil or vinegar is in a large vessel with a spout. You can taste anything you like with the little cups they provide. The people who work there are super-sweet (I believe they're the owners, too), and will talk to you about everything they have and even offer suggestions. When you've selected what you want, they fill up one of two sizes of bottles with your chosen oil or vinegar ($11 for small, $18 for large), and cork it right there. My favorites are the Portuguese olive oil (very leafy and fresh in flavor), and the Blood Orange flavored olive oil (soooooo delicious!). They sell little spouts for you to insert into the bottle for when you're ready to use it. If you're purchasing it as a gift, they're foil the top and wrap it up for you. Adorable. I love this shop, and know I'll be going here anytime I need to pick up a hostess, house-warming or birthday gift!

This was such an amazing find during our relaxing walk on Hope St. I recently learned about fine olive oils and vinegars a few years ago in Maine, and I was ecstatic to find one so close to my workplace. My biggest gripe is that with all of the jugs and containers, I don't know how to enjoy them at their fullest potential, and I ended up sampling every single jug and leaving feeling content, confused, and guilty, all at the same time. I'd love for there to be a sample size, maybe a 6 oz bottle of your top picks and how to enjoy them with food or individually. Despite my own ignorance, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I love the overall decor and once I am more confident and feeling adventurous, I'll buy a container in the future.

Although I've lived in the neighborhood for a few months, this was my first time in the shop. I was looking for my favorite peanut butter (it's a bit of a problem) and it turns out this place carries it. Try it... SanoBe Superfoods. OMGaw. For realz. Anyway, when we walked in, it almost looks like a laboratory. Rows of jugs, spouts, sample spoons, and other containers. Very well organized. Foodies will love this place. The attention to detail for this type of super-specific food shop has to admired. Even non-foodies may gasp at its abundance of styles, flavors, and options. Olive Del Mondo is also great for gifts. Along the walls they have a ton of locally made food and products. From soaps and lotions, to books and candy, it's an awesome local solution for foodies & local lovers on your list. Oh, and sharp, friendly service too!

For an Oil and Vinegar place, this is by far the best place I have found, at least in this part of NE. The service was great and the fact that they let you taste everything is what gives it that extra bump. They have a great selection of 'standard' oils and vinegars but then they get creative with the infusions. From a Balsamic perspective, they have a fig infused that is one of the best things I have ever tasted for brochette or just a dipping sauce. Their 18 year old is fantastic as well. They have a fantastic selections of oils as well and you actually bottle your own, bottles are provided. I think once you go here, you will never buy oil or vinegar in a store again. The place is located on Hope Street by 7 Star.

I don't know how many more five-star reviews I can give in PVD before I get flagged as an "unrecommended reviewer!" But seriously! What's the deal? Why are there so many wonderful places to eat and shop here? Are we all on drugs? Olive Del Mondo is a wonderland of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. It's the fantasy of a lowly canola oil. It's the truffle-flavored unicorn of the condiment world. It's just amazing. As you enter, you're greeted with no fewer than 6 rows of containers of oils and vinegars, all of which you can taste on your own - no judgment! - and find one or seven to your liking. I especially appreciate the descriptions and the ratings that tell you how bitter or fruity each olive oil is. The guy behind the counter (sorry I didn't get your name, but you're awesome!) was really helpful in answering all of my questions, and bottled me some really delicious Frantoio/Leccino extra virgin olive oil. At $16 for a 375ml bottle (medium-sized; they also have one small and one large), it's definitely not cheap, but really - with all the wannabe olive oils around, do you really wanna waste time with something that's not excellent? I was giddy to sample their white and black truffle oils (I thought I was gonna have to pay a surcharge or something, but no!), and hours and a meal later, I can really still taste it on my tongue, and it is so tasty! They have Maldon sea salts, black and pink salts from far away lands, tapenades, preserves, all sorts of fancy condiments that the high-class tongue can fathom. I am honestly going to come back here to do pretty much all of my holiday shopping.

Readers should know that when forced into rigorous activity, both my father's and my own pores exude nothing but the finest, peppery, cold-pressed, extra-virgin, greenish-gold nectar of the olive. Understand that we consider this a familial blessing rather than a genetic curse. We normally buy the good stuff by the case at Job Lot and prepare everything we make (or 95% of our meals) in it or with it. So this place pretty much proves that the void of an afterlife, as promised by the Epic of Gilgamesh, is not something to fear, as long as we can enjoy spoils like these while we're still kicking. Whatever that means. On our first visit we were outright overwhelmed (while entirely enchanted) by the rows-upon-rows of upright metal casks - each filled with a unique blend of oils (and vinegars) representing every corner of the globe, known for their fine yields. The staff was engaging, informative and patient (a necessity when dealing with my increasingly elderly father, with his olive-oil-voice and his guinea charm). We were encouraged to try anything we wished, so we did. Lemon infused out of Turkey and red pepper from Spain - it was all so good and the concept for a shop of this kind is all too clever. The custom-bottling was a pleasant surprise, as was the fair price on their truffle oil (the item we originally came in for, by way of our current joint-obsession). If you have a foodie in your life that is impossible to buy for, a gift certificate from here would be well received. Speaking of which, my dad's b-day is just around the corner and you best believe I'm headed here so he can cop that re-up.

How can a store that is dedicated to olive oils and vinegars survive you ask? Well on friendly and knowledgeable staff and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Olive Del Mondo opened my palate to a lot of flavors of oil and vinegar that I never would've thought of buying. In the end, this has been the season of Olive Del Mondo presents. I love their sampler packs (where you can also customize) and their handy list of suggested pairings. This is a great idea for hostess gifts or the cooks in your life. This place is a great addition to the Hope street community

AWESOME selection of olive oils and vinegers, all on tap for you to sample! Bread is provided for dipping, and the store is kept very neat and clean. The staff is very knowledgable and takes the time to explain the products and make recommendations. I was in there for about 45 minutes sampling everything and ended up buying a sample pack of 6. You are able to pick any 6 you want and they fill the bottles for you. The pack was $25, which is a little pricey for the size of the bottles, but the quality is something you don't find in the grocery stores. Very unique and would make a great gift! The selection is unreal- rows and rows of olive oils and vinegers. Lots of standard choices, along with many creative creations. I personally loved the mushroom and sage oil and the fig infused balsamic. Those were two I knew I could not leave the store without. They also offer truffle oils, nut oils (i bought the walnut and its delish!), and an array of other pestos, pastas, and speciality foods. I will be back here very soon, I'm sure!

This store... It's kind of amazing. When you walk in you'll find rows and rows of olive oils and vinegars. From right to left: of the store is single origin oils, flavored oils, white balsamics, dark balsamics. Different specialty products like nut oils are tucked away in the back. Various locally produced foods are found around the perimeter. You can try just about anything you want. There's sample cups, spoons, and bread cubes throughout the store. All you need to do is simply open up a tap to try one of the oils. Once you're ready to talk to someone, there's plenty of staff around to help. I've found them to be speedy and friendly. Once you're all rung out, you can enroll in the rewards program that provides a free bottle after a certain amount of points have accumulated. Anyone finding themselves in the area should stop by here and sample some oils. You won't regret it!

18-year balsamic, where have you been all my life? We were in Bar Harbor in January and made our first visit to an olive oil and vinegar shop. Before that visit I would buy cheap olive oil and vinegar at the grocery store and didn't see the point in buying the more expensive ones. Well Hallelujah, I am a believer now. It was amazing how the Tuscan Herb oil transformed my vegetables. The 18-year balsamic is life changing. Drizzle a little on some arugula with fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, pine nuts and basil and you have perfection. We recently ran out of the balsamic we bought in Maine and I knew I had to get some fast. A quick yelp brought up Olive del Mondo and the next day I was walking into the shop. They have the same supplier as the shop in Bar Harbor so I was familiar with some of their offerings as I already had some at home. Of course I couldn't stop with just the 18 year balsamic. In addition to a wine-sized bottle of that I also bought espresso, coconut and lemongrass/mint balsamics as well as a tarragon olive oil. I walked out as a newly minted member of their rewards program. I expect to be a regular.

A co-worker raved about this place and I knew I wanted to check it out at some point, well this year's Holiday Stroll was the perfect time to pop in. This was my first time in a shop like this and I was overwhelmed but delighted by the wide selection, the staff advised us to try anything we wanted so we did just that. We started at one end and went up and down each row tasting whatever intrigued us. Some highlights were the Dark Chocolate Balsamic, Fig Balsamic, Juniper Berry Balsamic, Espresso Balsamic, Red Apple Balsamic. . . . do you notice a theme here??? I was a huge fan of the balsamic vinegars. We ended up going home with a little bottle of the Serrano Honey Vinegar and had it on a salad that evening for dinner, it was divine!!! Small sample bottles start at $5! What a steal! I left with some fabulous gift ideas for Christmas and an upcoming birthday, a variety of sample bottles will make a lovely gift basket. . . . especially when paired with some of our other amazing local products! Oh I almost forgot, they also have a loyalty club so you'll earn points for your purchases, that's a sweet bonus!

When I heard there was a bulk olive oil store opening on Hope Street I thought- "Good luck in this economy!" But when I realized that the olive oil I was buying on the cheap at Job Lot or Stop and Shop probably wasn't actually olive oil, or at least not Extra Virgin like it says, that is when my mind shifted. Honestly, even sketchy Job Lot olive oil is around $10. I was surprised by how good the prices were at this place! It's totally worth it to know your buying "the good stuff". Olive Del Mondo is clean, welcoming, friendly...even in this economy, good taste is valuable and appreciated.

This a cool little store with many options. You can sample everything. I like the specialty products they carry as well, though some are a bit pricey

I received a gift box in May & wasn't crazy about the selection. Took the unopened product in to exchange and the staff person said she would have to call the owner for approval. I was able to exchange. Loved one of the two flavors and called to ask if I could exchange flavor I didn't like. Again, staff person said she'd have to ask owner. Not the kind of customer service I want for expensive olive oil. I'll stick with The Olive Tap because they stand behind their product and accept returns with no questions asked.

I LOVE this store. A great selection of olive oils and vinegars and super friendly service lead to a great shopping experience. I was Christmas shopping for two different individuals and one of the shopping associates provided very professional but not pushy advice. The ability to taste everything with either bread or straight in a little cup is great, because of course not all of us are olive oil experts! An affordable treat of an experience for yourself and excellent place for gifts. They also have a local section featuring Rhode Island products.

What a great and affordable way to sample a variety of olive oils and vinegars. It costs about the same as it would to buy fancy oil and vinegar at Whole Foods or Home Goods, but you're guaranteed that they're freshly made within the last year and you can try before you buy! From smooth dipping oils to oils with a green heat, from lavender balsamic to champagne vinegar, there are rows and rows of flavors, and the staff are calm and knowledgeable. I never would have thought myself someone who bought artisanal oils, but I guess I am now. I don't care, I love it!

Sweet little shop, with very helpful staff and gorgeous products. All their oils and vinegars are sold in bulk (you can taste before you buy, which is great), and they're all the same price: $11 for a small bottle. I wish they had some of the super old thick sweet balsamic, but I know that would be more than $11 for that quantity. I got delicious spicy, peppery olive oil there-- and I'm looking forward to tasting my way through their selection. They do have fancy salt and jams and mustards and things as well as the oil and vinegar-- I anticipate doing a lot of hostess-gift and holiday shopping there!

Went in the Saturday before Christmas and it was PACKED. Despite this, though, the staff was still very helpful. My boyfriend was looking to get some last-minute shopping done (typical man-style!) and I suggested this might be a good spot for a thoughtful gift and it more than delivered. I was very impressed. It was extremely tidy (it's really crazy there wasn't oil and vinegar dripped all over the place with the amount of people sampling) and very well-organized. Each barrel of either oil or vinegar was clearly labeled and included tasting notes and serving suggestions. We were helped by a woman who was more than happy to fill up 4 bottles of oil for us, giving great recommendations and answering all our questions. They then cork and seal the bottles and package them up...pretty enough to give as a gift as-is! They even changed the tissue-paper color so we'd remember which bag was for whom. I really look forward to going back when it's not quite so crowded so I can look around more! They have some awesome flavors to choose from and an entire list of suggested oil-to-vinegar combos! What I thought was the coolest was that the range of flavors and styles make this spot really great for all ages and experience levels...you could just as easily get a bottle of blueberry balsamic or lemon olive oil for a teen who's just getting into cooking, and then turn around and fill up a bottle of truffle oil for a more mature chef. They also had Maldon finishing salt (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and a few other cool products. Very cool shop and the prices were totally reasonable!

Great products, big selection of types of varieties. Not too expensive. I made a pasta salad with one of the oils and it was a BIG hit at a cookout I went to for the 4th of July. Prices are reasonable.

I absolutely love this shop! It is a MUST SEE when visiting Providence. They also have very reasonable prices for their quality ingredients. I recently got a bottle of balsamic vinegar from Stop and Shop, the vinegar is so thin and watery and lacking flavor. I will never get balsamic from another store. OLIVE DEL MUNDO is the best!

I went into this shop for the first time today and really loved it! The employees were helpful but far from pushy, and were happy to answer any questions. We spent a long time trying all the oils and vinegars and then I purchased a sampler pack which got filled right in the store. You have to keep in mind that it is a bit pricey, but the product quality definitely deserves the high price.

This place is amazing! Immediately upon walking in we were greeted kindly and told how to navigate the store and interpret the descriptions. The array and variety of products is staggering, and the quality is superb. I could have stayed in there all day tasting (since they allow you to taste as many oils and vinegars as you want), and trying to decide which few to buy was an astronomical feat! But they offer many different sizes for very reasonable prices, so I bought a few smaller bottles of vinegars and some larger bottles of olive oils. Overall, this place may be one of my new favorite shops in Providence!

I went in here for a gift right before Christmas and wound up with keeping the "gift" for myself! I had purchased a bottle of the wild mushroom and sage olive oil, and the smaller bottle went a long way (it's now mid-Jan., and I've just used the last!). The owners are wonderful, really friendly folks, I've sent a number of people their way and will continue to do so!

This place is so cute! I had so much fun trying all of the different olive oils. The hardest part - deciding which ones to buy! I finally decided on the sampler pack: 6 different oils or vinegars for 24.95. I kept 2, my mom kept 2, and we gave 2 away as gifts. Perfect for the holidays! Or ideas to spice up your salads, popcorn, pasta, eggs, well, anything really!

These places always make me feel incredibly cheap, even when nothing strikes me so I have no reason to feel bad. Tried a few items and wasn't blown away by any, but always a fan of this type of store but the markup/volume orders must be massive to be sustainable.

While traveling Hope Street blvd, I happened upon this fun store. I ended up buying a lot of Christmas presents. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend for gift ideas.

What a lovely place! I had no idea there were this many vinegars and olive oils but they have it set up so you can sample each one. We chose a customized four pack which is the best deal for the uninitiated- $25. Many products are great for gifting. Relaxing atmosphere and the service was very good too.

This place is wonderful. Stumbled upon it accidentally and now my boyfriend and I are regulars (which is sad for our wallets...). This store features a huge variety of vinegars and oils, as well as other specialty items such as pastas, sauces and chocolates. Some things are a bit pricy, but for the quality you are getting, I assure you it is well worth it. Jennifer and Salvatore (the owners) as well as the mother of one (I forgot which one...) are very friendly and knowledgeable about the wonderful products in the store. They make great recommendations about pairings, and just general suggestions based on your interests, etc. I have been to several other olive oil stores and this one is by far my favorite. I feel welcome here and that is what keeps me coming back!

This is a gem of a shop! My friend recently moved to this area and while exploring we found this place. In less than 2 months I have already been 3 times and have enjoyed every experience and purchase. I highly recommend Olive Del Mondo for gifts or if you simply enjoy high quality oil and vinegar.
