Casual Chain Restaurants Are Popular Again | Eater

"A neighborhood outpost that felt like a comforting, familiar retreat on a busy Saturday: the dining room was packed with families facing roughly 20-minute waits, and the shared parking lot with nearby chains was full. The reviewer specifically enjoyed chicken gnocchi soup and Alfredo-dipped breadsticks after visiting a nearby antique mall, and the visit illustrates the chain’s broader recent momentum — the brand has reported roughly 11% growth across the country in recent quarters despite a slowing economy." - Amy McCarthy

Sylvia is the kind of bartender who makes every visit to Olive Garden feel warm and welcoming. She’s quick to greet guests with a smile and always makes sure everyone feels comfortable, whether they’re stopping by for a quick drink or settling in for a meal. She has a way of remembering faces and small details, which makes her service feel personal and genuine. Guests know they can count on her for a perfectly mixed drink, a helpful suggestion, or just a kind word that brightens their evening. What really stands out about Sylvia is her professionalism and consistency. She works with ease behind the bar, staying attentive even during busy shifts, and manages to balance speed with care in everything she does. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and that dedication shows in the positive experiences she creates for guests. Sylvia is more than just a bartender—she’s a key part of the atmosphere, helping make Olive Garden feel not just like a restaurant, but a place people truly enjoy coming back to.

This is at the Olive Garden Restaurant on 82nd Street in Indianapolis, IN. We found easy parking, it was after 8:30pm, we walked in & we were greeted by a young man & he sat us promptly. So no waiting! We both ordered water to drink & placed our food order shortly thereafter. Our server was kind, helpful & had a friendly demeanor the entire time. He kept our water glasses filled, our food coming, second helpings served consistently & continuously. Everything was so fresh, piping hot, & yummy, and service was absolutely exceptional! Thanks Olive Garden you know how to do it right!

I was really looking forward to eating at Olive Garden since it had been so long, but this experience was absolutely terrible. The moment we walked into this branch, we were hit with a horrible smell. Then we waited 20 minutes just for a server to come over. To be fair, once someone finally showed up, the service itself was good but the food was awful. My husband and I both ordered lasagna, and it was clearly reheated and barely warm. It was just… disappointing. It’s making me wonder if all the branches have gone downhill or if this one is just especially bad

A few friends and I had to get together after not seeing each other for a very long time and we made the decision to go to the Olive Garden. There was about a 18 minute wait which we took as time to catch up and once seated we were politely greeted and our drink orders were taken. After we ordered our food, the breadsticks and bowl of salad was brought out to us and they were on point. I ordered the 6oz. Sirloin medium-well with no pink and mashed potatoes instead of the fettuchini alfredo, and the chef got it right on the 1st try!! Thank you!!! The steak was well seasoned and the potatoes had plenty of flavor. We talked, we ate, we laughed, we planned for the future, we boxed up what we couldn't eat and we didn't spend nearly as much as I thought we would! I really enjoyed myself.

Standard OG. It had a security detail! The facility was clean, and our wait was reasonable. It was packed. Our server was solid. Great job. No issues otherwise. Prices continue to rise, and even with 2 kids' meals (and no alcohol), we were around 85 bucks. The restrooms were clean. I'd come back to this one.

Alot of food, but not overpriced. Dine in sometimes, usually lunch to go. Food is always good and fresh. (Ordered the ziti to go and tasted "raw" but explained that is not put under broil "to go". Would not recommend lunch ziti to go, if not taking home to reheat. I was able to broil the next time I orderd to go and reheated nicely.) Service is always great and accommodating. If you enjoy chocolate and espresso, I'd try the tiramisu and Black Tie Mousse eaten together...Amazing! In resturant feels outdated, but they will treat you well.

Had a minor issue with a plate of food and the manager noticed us looking, walked over, immediately took care of the issue, brought a new plate and then compensated us without a thought even after we said it was not necessary! Great service all the way around! Waitress was amazing and very attentive even though they were CRAZY busy! Best service we have had eating out in a LONG time!!

I went here by myself after a long day at work craving a Chicken Alfredo. I got sat right down and quickly paired with a wonderful server. He was quick and attentive while maintaining politeness. I hate going to eat by myself, but they didn't make me feel even a bit awkward. Food came quickly and tasted wonder, exactly what I had wanted!

Yelp
Husband and I stopped in on a Saturday night (our first time dining in at an Olive Garden since COVID). We were seated right away in the bar area with our server, Mary. Mary was very attentive and offered wonderful suggestions for building our own pastas, and went above and beyond to ensure our night was perfect. Our drinks were never empty, nor was our salad. Our dinner was delicious, prepared correctly and quickly. We had a lovely, relaxing evening with our visit and would absolutely dine here again (hopefully with the same server!)

Yelp
I have had mixed experiences with this Olive Garden location. I feel that dining in is usually the better option, but while I was out running errands yesterday, I decided to place a to-go order for lunch. I was leaning towards the soup, salad and breadsticks weekday deal (under $10), but I was also craving lasagna. The lasagna came with soup or salad and 2 breadsticks, so I went with that. But my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, so when it asked if I wanted to add 3 meatballs for under $3, I said yes to that as well...and I still wanted to soup, so I added that for under $5. Way too much food for one sitting, but I digress. I placed the order online and arrived before it said it would be done. I received the text with the link to check-in when I arrived and checked in immediately. A few minutes later the food was brought right to my car. It was hot, but the breadsticks and salad didn't seem that fresh to me. The salad had some less desirable looking parts (brownish) and the tomato slices looked like they'd been refrigerated too long. The breadsticks were hard and didn't reheat well. I followed the instructions on the bag. The lasagna and meatballs were very good though, and I'm having the soup for lunch today. It isn't authentic Italian, but I could drink their signature salad dressing by the shot glass. Pro tip: Try marinating a steak or chicken or anything in the salad dressing before grilling...chef's kiss!

Yelp
In a word.. YUCK I don't never have to go here again as long as I breathe. Please understand yelpers you know by now I don't go to the Olive Garden. I only went because there are birthday celebrations this spring and I've been invited. I don't know why people choose the Olive Garden? Why because it's cheap? out of all the restaurants on that strip it would not be my choice. Nothing is what it used to be from the staff to the food. I was invited to go there again today!! Saturday the 29 March 2025 imagine that! I refused gracefully. I was just there two days ago and I'm not impressed. I kept it simple by ordering something they couldn't mess up but somehow they manage to do just that. It's just not good. It's like microwaved meals and not even the salad is good. The breadsticks made from soy are really good!

Yelp
We stopped to eat at Olive Garden after visiting the Castleton Mall. We had a gift card so we figured why not! The ambiance of this Olive Garden was more intimate. Dress code is casual. There were a lot of cars outside, but it wasn't loud inside which was nice. We got seated immediately, our waiter was excellent, and our food came out very quickly. I got the Seafood Alfredo and it was good but really heavy. I imagine all their pasta would be heavy so I was happy we got the salad instead of the soup for more of a fresh note with our entrees. My boyfriend and I both ate a lot and had leftovers to take home so no problems with the portions! We also got a piece of Tiramisu to-go and enjoyed that a lot as well.

Yelp
Excellent experience for our party of 11. We had a quiet area for our group. The service was excellent - professional, friendly and accommodating. We all enjoyed the good food.

Yelp
I love olive garden!!! Salad and soup are the best!!! And they stay clean, service is normally not bad.

Yelp
My friend and I had a great time at Olive Garden. The restaurant was quiet and clean, the service was quick, and the food was good! We got exactly what we ordered and our waitress was on top of all of our requests quickly! We turned our meal into three meals each with the portion sizes, so you can definitely have leftovers!

Yelp
We had a nice evening at this Olive Garden. Our waitress was very sweet but we did wait quite a long time to get our food and the restaurant was not crowded. Our food was overall good. The appetizer we ordered did not look like the appetizer pictured, but it was fine nonetheless. My pasta was good but the meatballs I ordered on top were not the best. The breadsticks are always delicious. They were buttery and garlicky. I did appreciate the large portion size as I brought home a lot of leftovers.

Yelp
If I could rate it zero stars I would. Me and my husband decided to go here for our anniversary and I am pregnant so craving this place is always on my list! I usually LOVE the one in Avon because they never make you feel ashamed or have a long wait. This place was absolutely HORRIBLE! We decided to sit in the bar and had to seat ourselves which is normal but we didn't have a server for over 10 minutes. We finally got the person who seats down the people to atleast get our drinks and appetizer ready. Hubby ordered some apple drink from the bar and it was all ice and one sip of drink. Would not recommend for 9$. Also the waitress was very slow. Her name was scarlet. She even got our order wrong TWICE! We waited over 20 minutes to get salad and breadsticks and then she forget his soup which was basically just chicken and dumplings. We also waited another 15 minutes for that. The waitress was also only serving the table behind us and not really serving us and then laughed when we asked for cheese on our soup. There is also some undercover officer who stares at color people in the bar and the whole restaurant even though they have color people working for them. As a black couple we were VERY uncomfortable and did not feel welcomed. We complained to Nicole the manager and she didn't seem to care and then never came back to make sure we were okay. They are lucky we even paid! We got our food to go. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with sausage and hubby got which was supposed to be fettuccine with the cheese tomato sauce and extra chicken and broccoli. They gave him spaghetti noodles. We will NEVER come to this location again. We drove 30 min but we will drive and extra 10 to Avon location where it's better portion and faster service with a smile!!

Yelp
I came here for a date night with my fiance because I was craving Italian food! I hadn't been to an Olive Garden in years, and I was eager to see if it could still hold up. We got there around 6 pm to beat the "dinner rush," and it worked because we were seated immediately in a booth. We took a few minutes to review the menu before ordering. I got the peach raspberry tea to drink, and my fiance ordered the mango strawberry tea. I thought my drink was very refreshing. I don't like tea that is too sweet, but I thought it was the perfect amount of sweet. My fiance's tea, on the other hand, tasted much too much like the syrup they probably use for flavor. I think their ratio of syrup to tea and ice was just not good for his particular glass. Stirring it to encourage the ice to melt did help quite a bit. For an appetizer, we ordered the meatballs. We order meatballs at every Italian restaurant just so that we can compare and contrast across restaurants. These meatballs were quite good. They give you 5 meatballs for around $11 which is the best value we've received. However, it's clear these are not homemade so it doesn't have that "special touch" that you want in a meatball. We chose salad to enjoy with our breadsticks which we somehow resisted because we only ended up splitting one breadstick. I love dipping my breadsticks in the salad dressing to soak up the vinegar flavor. However, I didn't love the salad dressing as much as I used to. I think I've just had better salads since the last time I went to Olive Garden, so It's just not what I prefer anymore. For our entrees, I ordered the five-cheese sauce ziti and my fiance ordered the lasagna. The entree came out less than five minutes after our appetizer and salad so it was an overwhelming amount of food at once, but I think they just wanted to get tables cleared before the dinner rush came in. I ordered my ziti with Italian sausage, and I didn't realize that meant they just gave you a link of Italian sausage on top of your pasta. I was expecting it to be inside the dish. The pasta itself was pretty good. I wanted more of a vinegar note in the dish, so I wish I had something like lemon to squeeze on it. The Italian sausage was just okay. A little too crispy on the outside to enjoy with a portion of pasta. My fiance's lasagna was really good, and he was able to finish it all in one sitting. I had a bite of it and agreed that it was really good. Most places use an overwhelming amount of ricotta in their lasagna which I cannot stand. It seemed like there could have been ricotta in their lasagna, but it was not overpowering. The one part of our experience that made me not want to go back anytime soon was our server. I won't name them because I get that everyone needs to make a living, but they came to check on us so many times that it was just too much. They also did the bit every time we ordered something where he'd be like "We're out of that" or "No" followed by an uncomfortable moment of silence and eventually a "just messing with you!". The first time was "Haha funny". But he did that so many times throughout our ordering that it was just annoying. Overall, the food was good. The service was fast. But the quality of service itself was not my favorite.

Yelp
I'm not usually a huge Olive Garden fan, but the amazing Sylvia kicked it out of the park this visit. I had just had a medical procedure at the nearby hospital. Sylvia was knowledgeable, personable and fun while still being professional. The three of us all had bottomless soup and salad. She handled a special salad request without blinking, and was super quick getting our rounds of soup. The facilities were also up to par, with different areas for different degrees of privacy and volume, including a bar for those so inclined. Definitely on our list for whenever we're in the vicinity.

Yelp
Gotta love the endless soup salad and breadsticks option! It's such a steal for only like $10 for dinner. Service was great as staff were very friendly and sweet. Restaurant is on a pretty busy street. It's near the mall and other shopping areas if you're looking for a place to eat after a day of running errands.

Trav P.

Yelp
The service is great. It doesn't strike me as really Italian but all my friends love it. It is the middle of the road.
google avatar

Bruce F.

Yelp
The Zuppa Toscana is still one of my favorites: chunks of russet potatoes, sausage and kale all together in a creamy and savory broth. When it's cold outside this is the go to soup! I also ordered the tour of Italy's the big three: Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna. The trio is just enough to help you decide if you want to make one of the three a main course.

Yelp
We love Olive Garden... make that used to. Olive Garden has changed since we came here as kids and it just keeps changing... for the worst. To start off the wait for a table took about a good 15 to 20 min. Even though all the tables were completely EMPTY. Supposedly the wait was due to there being no servers... on a Saturday night. The wait they were telling other customers coming in was an hour wait even though again all tables were EMPTY. That's how you lose money and costumers. Most customers will not wait an hour for a table and will leave. As for the food; the appetizers were great. The calamari was perfectly cooked alas the spinach dip was mmm not so good. The main dishes took quite a bit to get here. Was all good and the service was great (Jose is a wonderful server) but... ya. They could be a little faster. This location... don't think I would recommend.
google avatar

Jessy V.

Yelp
The service was very slow and it wasn't that busy. It was a weekday. We got just soups since we were very hungry at this point. They were lukewarm and just ok. Olive gardens food quality has gone down in the last couple of years. Not just this location, but Greenwood as well. I would rather go to Mama Corollas. Support local.

Greg G.

Yelp
We were a family of three with a two year old and they seated us on the bar area near the back kitchen/to go area. Food was quick and service was adequate. Had fun just because I was with my family having dinner. Wouldn't return.
google avatar

Isabelle M.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Service was quick. I wanted something light so I just went with the soup and salad. There nothing like olive gardens salad. The soup was okay. It's nice that it's bottomless just because I can get another bowl once my soup gets cold. My fiancé got the chicken tortellini which is easily the best entree on the menu. If you haven't tried it, I definitely recommend it!

Dave L.

Yelp
This location is not as good as the one on Washington street. Not sure how the food can be so much better at another location? Food here is just ok, the service was very slow. We think the server was new and not completely trained. Had to request drink refills, never got appetizer plates, had to ask for extra dipping sauce which we had ordered. When it was time to pay the ticket was not on the tablet to split and once we hit notify server she never came. Ended up asking for her. We like to eat Italian but it's not our best option.
google avatar

Devon H.

Yelp
Deyonce was the best server! She was right on time with refills and extra sauce before even having to ask! Food came out quick and hot. Enjoyed the mood lighting and ambiance so much we sprang for dessert! Great dinner thanks Deyonce!

Yelp
Been to this location before and the food we had was good but this time is wasn't . My gf had the shrimp alfredo and said it had not much flavor. I wanted to try the spaghetti and that was a mistake. It tasted so awful , I had to give it back and request another item, the Shrimp scampi. That was good. I gave it 3 stars because I think their food have gotten down hill. Maybe they have a different cook or something?
google avatar

Elaine F.

Yelp
While many restaurants tend to cut back on quality & quantity, the Olive Garden continues to remain consistent with portions and service. Although OG is a chain, the chicken & shrimp carbonara is still one of my favorites. Our server Nichelle was pleasant and very attentive.
google avatar

Kristie W.

Yelp
TikTok sent me to Olive Garden for cheese graters. This location doesn't sell them. Sucks cause I wanted two of them.
google avatar

Yelp
I walked in and asked if i could order takeout from the bar. I was told yes. I sat at the bar for 15 minutes. When the bartender finally showed up, she told me Takeout had to be ordered at the other end of the bar. So I went where it clearly read "Takeout Pickup Only" and placed my order, then sat again at the bar. The bartender ignored me. I had planned on a glass of wine while waiting. I was totally ignored. I am getting over a cold and began to have a coughing fit. No one offered me a glass of water - every server and the bartender ignored me. I had mints in my purse, got those and thankfully my order was ready. I took it and left. I would never go back to this location again.

Yelp
Always great service! Never been dissatisfied by the food. Hits that spot every time. Healthy choices. No pasta is an option for most dishes. The Zuppa is perfect for the 2°F days when you just can't seem to get warm. Thanks guys!

Steven S.

Yelp
Service was good, unfortunately there was a hair in my potato soup. We enjoy Olive Garden, but have had bad luck with this location.

Gabby U.

Yelp
Our family used to always come here, recently we haven't because it is far but man, how much the quality of service has come down. It's not the the waiters fault, they are understaffed at times, but that ends up affecting us. Our waiter had 3 tables in one area, and we noticed others who were done before us had to wait about 10-20 minutes for it, we ended up waiting 10. The food took VERY VERY long as well, and we didn't even come in during rush hour. Our food was alright. This Oliver Garden was not like this, sadly we won't be coming back.

Yelp
The Manager... Dan uselmann is amazing! Thank you for making my birthday super sweet. He made sure my mom and I's catered food was delicious and even helped me out to the car

Yelp
Had to go back for the triple layer of chocolate and also the delightful strawberry desserts. Generous servings and friendly staff. Craving something sweet to eat?

Yelp
Came in for lunch today (Friday 5/19) and was recommended to sit in the "cafe" or bar. I understand there is one bartender for the entire bar, but he clearly hates his job. No smile or greeting. I was waiting on a guest who was delayed, was expecting to be checked on and was going to say I was ready to go ahead and order. Once I finally grabbed his attention he put his finger in my face and said one second and proceeded to go check on his other tables, who then sent him back to the kitchen for something. Did not smile once and was super unfriendly. Having been a server I recommend at least checking on the guest once even if they said they are waiting on someone, especially if they have already been sitting there for 20+ minutes or at least making eye contact and pretending like you care or know they are there.
google avatar

Tikva B.

Yelp
The menus options are an excellent value. I can't eat gluten and they got options like the gluten free rotini. If you want to come on weekends the best hour it's 3:00 pm, after 4 there were a lot of people waiting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I have to start with I love Olive Garden and am a regular customer. Yesterday (4/5/23) I took my family visiting from out of town to the Olive Garden in Castleton, Indiana, east 82nd street (our usual location) to dinner. The meal was going grwat, service was good and communication with the server (Deyonce) was also good. Midway through the meal I asked for no salt on my next order of bread sticks and things took a decided turn for the worse... From that point on Deyonce did refill my, nor my wife's drink, even though we both asked her to and she also would remove some dirty plates/silverware at our request, I had to ask a manager to do these things... Furthermore, there were 2 managers hovering around our table making us both feel as though we had done something to raise some sort of suspicion or offended someone... This was very troubling and the change in attitude was noticed by the whole party and made everyone very uncomfortable... We discussed it as a family after we left and everyone agreed that we (my wife or myself) had not done anything to cause or disserve this sort of treatment, by a long stretch... Frankly I will seriously have to reconsider doing business with Olive Garden whether it's just me and my wife or a larger party, these actions are completely unacceptable under any situation, much less for seemingly no reason... Im 53 years old and have never been motivated to contact the headquarters of any business to discuss anything like this, just to put context on the situation...

Yelp
Good twilight my fellow Yelpers, I have 5-star review to give out today! The greeter was very monotoned and was slightly aggressive when telling us the wait time. We were 9th on the wait-list and was told it would be 30 minutes. It eventually only ended up being 5. We were seated in a very dark waiting area with modern and contemporary artwork. The couches were very comfortable. However, it was unnerving that a police officer had to patrol the restaurant. He seemed like a lovely man, but it made me a tad uncomfortable. The hostess eventually took us to our table, but the floor was loud, noisy, and very hard. Once seated at our table, we soon realized how cold the restaurant was. There was a good variety of games on the tablet, but you had to pay in order to play. Our waiter was very polite, kind, accommodating, and had no attitude. The time it took to receive beverages and appetizers was hardly anything. Approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds. I have never felt more welcomed by a waiter! I was so impressed by his excellent skills. The breadsticks were very warm and flavorful, but the cutlery was splotchy with God knows what. The soup was a little watery compared to other locations, but still rather good! The salad had a hidden banana pepper which burned my mouth. Although this is a family restaurant, there were far too many crying babies to have an enjoyable consumption of food. It took slightly under 13 minutes to receive our entrees. Rather impressive! Yet again, the server continued to impress as he turned out to be quite the comedian and cleared the table with ease. Although this is not the restaurants fault, we overheard other patrons disrespecting our hometown. We do not affiliate this incident with Olive Garden, but it is a shame it happened on its grounds. The server checked in a couple of times to ensure we were enjoying the meal. He even brought to-go boxes without us asking! Everything seemed to be smooth sailing until we looked up and saw the chandelier caked in dust. However, it was made up for when the server brought us mint chocolates. It made my day. It made my week. Honestly, it made my year. Upon our exit, they wished us a good evening. A truly positive experience. Signing off, EnchiladaEdna333

Yelp
It was nice to come back to The Olive Garden after such a long absence. My friends and I came here for dinner because we had missed The Olive Garden and their breadsticks. It did not disappoint us at all, not that we would be disappointed since it is The Olive Garden! The food and drinks were above and beyond as always! Shana, our server, was fantastic, and went way beyond the call of duty! She took very good care of us and did not leave us hanging at all!! I would come back to The Olive Garden just to have her as my server. The unlimited breadsticks, soup, and salad is always a great deal. The eggplant Parmigana was wonderful! The tiriamasu was a piece of heaven in my mouth!! You can definitely come back home again when you are at The Olive Garden!
google avatar

ZeNai B.

Yelp
Went to have lunch and work in between meetings. I wish I remembered the bartender name but she was super nice and attentive. She gave good recommendations and made me feel comfortable working. Food: Unlimited salad always a hit. I got the zuppa soup and then the gnocci soup. Not sure which was my fave so you can't go wrong with either. The zuppa has a little spice but I love the kale and sausage for ttexture. The gnocci was nice and creamy, a little heavier if you are starving. Drinks: Had a peach bellini! Taste like a fruit smoothie. So yummy but I could tell it had a little kick

Yelp
The service is perfect the people are very nice the waitress is a very good she definitely deserves a raise and a pay increase and she even gave us to go drinks and mints. I would 100 Percent recommend this place to whoever has stopped by a Olive Garden in Indianapolis the waitress was nice but I said that already and the ambiance of the place was so nice.

Yelp
I went here on a date with my girlfriend after a pretty rough day (our original date plans didn't work out) and we were sat down almost immediately. Our server, Mary or May I believe, was very kind and made sure to keep asking if everything was alright or if we needed anything. We ordered our appetizer, the fried mozzarella, and our entrees, the chicken Alfredo and the Lasagna Classico, at the same time and she was even asked us if we wanted our salads and soups for here or to-go. She made sure to ask if we wanted any sauce for our breadsticks twice, which was nice because we decided we wanted Alfredo sauce the second time. Our food took a bit to come out, but she made sure to keep checking on us and apologizing for the long wait. Although we ordered all of the food at the same time, our appetizer still came out a good time before the entrees which is always appreciated. When we got our entrees, she made sure to come by a few more times and ask if everything was alright and if we needed anything, even bringing us extra to-go boxes and a bag for appetizer and breadsticks. When we were about done with everything, she made sure to come by one last time and apologize for the wait time again, but we assured her that it didn't ruin our experience at all. Will definitely be coming back again and hopefully getting the same server

Yelp
My husband had a surprise birthday party here. There were both family and friends. Olive Garden does not take reservations. They had over 15 people and did a truly wonderful job. The food was correct, no problems and tasted great. I had the steak and Alfredo. It was tender and just as I ordered.

Josie B.

Yelp
I've gone twice to the specific location. Every time I went and I was greeted by stuff and things went pretty smoothly. The first time I went, I ordered about $100 worth of food for my stuff and I everything came out good except they messed up our sauces on our pasta which we paid more for- 10$ in charges just to change sauce - can't complain about the price. The staff doesn't do anything about that but they still got it wrong which is why I'm mentioning it. The second time I ordered over the phone and I had to OK experience, but not the best. I ordered on the app and there's an option to change sauce for a charge which I chose. But due to my last experience, I decided to go ahead and call in, just to make sure they get it right this time since meat makes me ill. And I don't wanna come off as the " vegetarian that's extra" but it's as simple as just changing one thing just like removing certain veggies off of Burger it takes two seconds. And if you're paying for it, it definitely should be right. I called in and simply said I needed to change the sauce on my pasta to Alfredo since I am a vegetarian, and I do not eat meat and their meat sauce has meat, and hence the name. I was told I was going to be transferred to tell someone that and I waited about 10 minutes on the phone and I got hung up on . Mistakes happen we aren't prefect. I'm not Jesus and neither is anyone working there or reading this review. I called back a second time and was told I was going to be transferred again waited 10 more minutes and no one picked up so I hung up and called back a third time. Round three: Same thing I was told I was going to be transferred. I waited 10 minutes and nobody transferred me so ROUND FOUR : I called back and simply said " I've been put on hold three different times for 30 minutes now in total. I'm supposed to be picking up my food at this time (3 pm) according to your app. Instead of transferring me, can someone please just be told to change the sauce.? " The girl was actually really nice on the phone. Since I am at work, I had multiple people come up to me and asked me a question while checking out with her and she made sure to wait on the phone with me to verify what I needed before she put me on hold. She never came back to the phone so I hung up and just went to the store to pick up my food. They got it right. So overall, I would give it a 7/10 The food is good when it's made right, the stuff is welcoming. When you come in, the best thing that would help this business is if they either had a phone that came with them when they went places or made sure that they're well-maintained and stuff to make sure that these transfers and hangups don't happen and let me be very clear. If corporate isn't giving them enough time to staff properly that's corporate's fault in corporate needs to get on it. So consider this my official request : dear corporate of Castleton - please give your amazing manager, the correct amount of hours, so they can properly staff there store and maintain your business the way you want.

Yelp
This is about Olive Garden on 86th St Indy Service was basically non existent Server made minimal effort to be helpful. Did not refill water, gave us half full bowl of salad which had little dressing on it Never offered to refill salad...we had to ask We were not offered second bowl of breadsticks despite paying nearly $5.00 for small amt of dipping sauce The only time server was attentive was when she threw handful of chocolates on our table as she stood over me as I paid the bill. Tip amt started at 25 percent on screen What a joke. I did tip but not 25 percent Server simply did not give a darn about us Entrees were about $20 each and not great. Place was not busy at all many servers standing around laughing and talking loud Ambiance...there was none Will not return here! Had much better service at Olive Garden in Carmel!

Yelp
Did not expect it to be filled to the brim with customers; I was lucky to get a parking spot. Contrary to my assumption that there'd be a long wait, I was seated immediately and my server, Jay, greeted me kindly shortly after. Even though they were busy, I did not feel rushed at all with my order. Everything came out hot and delicious. While the pricing might seem a little ridiculous, they are selling the dining experience rather than the food. Both exceeded my expectations. Would recommend the Chicken Parm or Five Cheese Ziti. (New to writing reviews, forgot to take photos before devouring my food!)

Yelp
First time visiting the Olive Garden at this location. Honestly, not very impressed with the menu options or quality of the food. We ordered a little bit of everything (trio appetizer, salad, ravioli, pizza, salmon, shrimp scampi, chicken carbonara, and a chicken Alfredo, and deserts). It was all just ok... The service we received was probably the best part of the evening. Our waiter was patient with us and consistently checked in to make sure we were well taken care.

Yelp
I forgot how good Olive Garden was. I was craving Italian food decide to stop in. The watermelon sangria was really good, but kind of sweet. The chicken and shrimp carbonara was perfect. It was nice to walk into a restaurant on a Friday night with no wait. Also the prices are very affordable

Yelp
I think my rating sums it up pretty well. Nothing surprising here with "wow" moments in the food, but it was prepared well and our group seemed to enjoy the dining. Our service was attentive without hovering and attended our needs for real menus, not those tiny phone versions. He also was able to retrieve our bill when the "automated" payment machine had run out of paper and cleared so that I couldn't take a photo as an alternative to a paper copy. Surprisingly there were a lot of guests for late lunch on a Friday, but we found parking in front of the building and we seated promptly. I ordered the Herb-Grilled Salmon with broccoli on the side. I got the side salad instead of soup and a breadstick which was forgettable. My wife and my oldest grandson each ordered the Four Cheese Stuffed shells and thought it was good, but not great. My broccoli was really tender and the salmon had a nice flavor and was cooked through but not overcooked. This is one of those places that your bill can run up quickly depending upon the number of sides and beverages you order, so don't think that just because it is a franchise that it will be inexpensive. We chose this place since it was near the movie theater we were heading to afterwards. It was a solid choice, but no wow moments, so only three stars from me. Review #3898

Yelp
They have very nice staff. The dining area is pretty clean. No long ridiculous waits. The food definitely disappointed me & my kids. I have always went to this olive garden and never had a bad anything but today everything was salty. My kids didn't like the pizza or marinara dipping sauce for bread sticks. The salad was okay but I'm not an Italian dressing person. I only got ok one lemon in my water & had to ask for napkins which is ridiculous. The water in the women's bathroom is COLD. I even let the sink run a little bit but it never got to a warm temperature.

Yelp
Stop by for soup and salad today. We were told probably a 20 minute wait. We were seated in less than 10. That was nice. Drink order was taken quickly and server returned in a matter of minutes with our drinks and bread. We placed our order and within a few minutes we were eating our soup and salad. Server was a little slow on refills but man were they busy. All in all we will go back.
