Google
Nice experience! The music took me into their culture and was not overwhelming. Love that. The food was simple and good flavor. It is a nice place to experience another culture's food. Totally recommend to support them

Google
Fabulous food. Consistently good. Meats are seasoned perfectly and the tzaziki is thick and creamy. The plastic and Styrofoam use is a deterrent, sadly. Purchased a few conferment and staples from the ethic options also available. Very nice outdoor area for children and alfresco dining. .

Came here for takeout and enjoyed it a lot! Had the lamb entree plate, baba ganouj, tabbouleh salad, and Dubai chocolate for dessert. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, it was all quite fresh and nicely flavored. Meat was a tad on the salty side but otherwise juicy and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Plenty of parking, patio with a playground for kids, small Middle Eastern market area in the back of the restaurant if you want to buy some goods (canned and jarred goods, rice, spices, etc).

Google
sooo yummy!! and they've got a variety of baklava to choose from. 😋

I always love going to Olive Tree! The family who owns and runs it are very sweet and always cooks your food in a timely manner. It’s so nice and convenient that they have a huge playground with swings for young children to play while waiting for your food. I love their fries, pita bread with hummus, and their gyros. Their business is in between a restaurant and fast food; the wait isn’t too long but nice if you have time to spare and just chill out and watch your kids playing outside. Thanks!

Google
Has nothing to do with the food, which is excellent. Nothing posted that you are to clear your own table, which had we known, would have had no problem doing so. But we didn't(our bad). We stacked our baskets, left a gratuity on the table and walked out. The young kid working the counter and serving the food, chased us down in the parking lot, gave my wife (who has been a server for 30 years) the gratuity back and said he didn't want her money he wanted the table cleared. Really?! That is phenomenal customer service and it was handled so well.(sarcastically). He got neither and lost a customer in the process.

Very unpleasant visit for me and my partner’s first time eating here. We walked into an empty restaurant and wasn’t greeted by anyone, despite the staff sitting in the dining room. They said nothing and got behind the counter. The whole place was silent and I honestly felt a little judged by the staff. We ordered our food and sat outside because my partner had his dog with him. Later on when one of the kids brought us our food, we noticed they stepped away from our dog. Which was reasonable! My partner recalled his dog who was sniffing the kid’s shoe. (She’s really friendly, just trying to get a scent) I asked if they were scared or didn’t like dogs. They glared and replied with being allergic to them. Which I can completely understand and apologized for now knowing. But this was the only thing they would say to us. The kid glared at us once more before walking away. Food was mid and they messed up my partner’s order. Can’t say I recommend this place or see myself visiting anytime soon :(

Google
AC not working, kids running the place. No personality, poor service. Be prepared to wait forever for food even if you're the only one in the place.family pr owner kids hanging in dinning area. Need to work on professional appearance and make atmosphere inviting and relaxing

Yelp
The Falafel is wonderfully delicious--just like you would experience traveling abroad. The service is refreshingly pleasant and fast. If you are wanting a wonderful, authentic Mediterranean cuisine this is a must try restaurant!

Sandy H.

Yelp
We stopped on our way through Farmington. Ordered hummus, falafel, dolmas and tabouli. Food was incredibly fresh with excellent flavor! Service was prompt and courteous. We ate at an outside table and went back in for pita bread, then again for baklava.

Ali A.

Yelp
Expect to be hungry after eating here ! Tiniest portions ever , glad I got two dishes thinking it would last two meals! Place should be ashamed charging what they do for what they give you! And tasteless! I come from this culture, and it is insulting how bad this food was! Kufta was burnt on one half...how?!?! I'm just done

Lane K.

Yelp
Amazing food in this former gas station with tons of charm. They also offer some rare groceries for sale. Be sure to ask for hot sauce and garlic sauce. The Baba Ganoish is fantastic. Worth a stop for sure.

Krissy H.

Yelp
I stopped in and got a tabouli to go. I have to say it was super good and fresh, I will be back. This place is a small market as well. I was clean. They don't take your order from the table you go to the counter and order your food to eat there or to go. a café feel with indoor and outdoor seating for children to play.

Nick B.

Yelp
Their food might be great. I'll never know. Traveling through and wanted to eat there. Yelp and google shows they're open till 8pm. Got there at 7:30 on the dot and they were already getting in their cars and leaving because it was "a slow night". Then change your hours to 7:30. Sucks for someone traveling through. There already are absolute crap for options around here.

Con K.

Yelp
Great service, good good. We had chicken kabob plate a gyro plate and a side of hummus. It was all very good. Also, we were there a bit before closing but they stayed open an extra 5 mins to let us finish, which was nice of them.

Janet S.

Yelp
Passing through Farmington we found this little gem on our way to the Brewstillery. This food was top notch, we usually cant find good charred lamb anywhere. The shish lamb kabob had those delicious little charred edges that we Brits love. The tomatoes were perfect roasted and there was oddles of rice. Then we dug into the Foul and it was heavenly, I could have bathed in it. The owners are Palestinian and Dad certainly knows his way around the kitchen. It was snowing outside and I'm glad because sitting inside was more authentic. We scored some Turkish Delight and a massive bag of Dill Weed to bring home. My Lima Bean Rice with Dill is just about ready for dinner. Can't speak highly enough of this place. Please move to our bit of Florida.

Eric L.

Yelp
A nice little gem near old town. Menu has so many yummy choices that I must try. A cool spot to eat

Mike H.

Yelp
We showed up at 7:20, says they close at 8:00, as we were walking to the door, a guy locked the door right in front of us.. bad form.

Megan M.

Yelp
I come from a big city in California and have been missing and craving Mediterranean food from my hometown. My family and I often make the hour drive to Farmington to shop and have always passed this place. I am glad to say I found a Mediterranean restaurant to fix my cravings! The portion size is huge and the food is affordable. The taste is always on point and they never disappoint. Staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant is also kid friendly-they have a playground on site too!

Ryan B.

Yelp
Great Outdoor Patio area Service was great. Food was hot and fresh. We ate our fill and still have enough leftovers for another meal. We will definitely be coming back here again.

joe n.

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner and it ws very good. My wife had the Chicken Shish Kabob and she really liked it. The chicken was not overcooked and the rice was really good. I was not that hungry so I had Lentil Soup which was very good. This is more of a take-out place rather than a restaurant - meals are served in foam take-out containers with plastic utensils. There is also a play ground in front of the restaurant so if you have kids this may be an attraction. For me the food was the star.

Lisa F.

Yelp
I was wonderfully surprised. The food was delicious The Server is Adorable The Prices are fair The order at the window and outside tables and play ground make it great for families.

Jonathon N.

Yelp
We travel, a lot. This is some of the best Mediterranean food outside of New York. Period. The family that runs it cares about their guests, and if you are lucky, they will let the kids take your order; it's super cute. Highly recommend shawarma, either beef or chicken. Falafel is a MUST.

Robert D.

Yelp
Good food, good service, it's winter so I'll pass on the patio dining today lol. I'll be back again for more:)

Dawn K.

Yelp
Olive tree has excellent food, we eat there quite often and have never had a bad meal. Love the combo plate, Gyros, Hummus, Chicken Kebabs, and Falafel. The service is exacting and the indoor booths are comfortable, the kids can play outside on the playground where you can watch them from the window.

Stephen M.

Yelp
We say they make the best gyro sandwich in the area including our town of Durango. Also enjoyed the beef kufta. Only wish they served the food on a plate and with real silverware. Instead you're eating out of a styrofoam container with plastic utensils. We'll be back.

sa w.

Yelp
Amazing food! Would love an alternative to the styrofoam but I'll eat there & hope they switch, bcz it's so good! Nice people too.

Annette D.

Yelp
We stopped by here for dinner on our way through town. It is a small, cute place. The people were friendly and prompt. The food was great! I meant to take a picture but we ate it up too fast. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were reasonable.

Shaun W.

Yelp
Wow, this place is fresh and delish.... highly recommend !! Also, the prices are amazing for the amount of food.

Canine C.

Yelp
I have been here many times and the food has always been amazing. We order in sometimes too and it's just as good when it's to go. The rice has this incredible buttery flavor and texture. And their baklava is the BEST! The meals are big too. I can usually get two meals out of each order. Everyone is always nice and we love to be able to sit and eat downtown.

Guila C.

Yelp
This cute little new cafe had EXCELLENT customer service! The young man at the front was very personable and offered a free Turkish coffee sample while I waited for my order. Everyone wore masks and socially distanced. We do not have many options in this area so new tastes are always welcome! I had the gyro and it was so yummy!

Paul M.

Yelp
I had the gyro sandwich made with lamb. It was very good. The staff was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Lori B.

Yelp
We had a late lunch here on a Sunday and it was very peaceful on the patio. Service was good and the food (chicken shish kabob) was great--their grilled chicken and the hummus are outstanding! Would definitely come here again.

Galina P.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean food from a once upon a time has station I've ever had. Sweet staff and fast service.

Courtney R.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Farmington. Excellent and authentic, fresh and well-cooked. Such a sweet family who owns it. Highly recommend!

Jennifer ..

Yelp
Combo plate and gyro plate/sandwich are both equally outstanding. High quality meat and excellent flavor. So glad we found Olive Tree! Very happy to support this small family-owned local business. Highly recommended.

Rachelle F.

Yelp
We tried both the beef and chicken shawarma and they were equally delicious!! The hummus had a lovely citrus flavor and was the best I've ever eaten in my life! Everything was bursting with flavor and the portions are generous!! Wish this was in my hometown.

Logan M.

Yelp
Fantastic food. The meat, rice, hummus, bread and vegetables are all cooked perfectly.

Robin L.

Yelp
Delicious. I've had the falafel twice now and it is consistently great. Service is friendly and welcoming and the food is fresh. Others in my party recommend the beef shawarma - tender and tasty and the garlic sauce is a mild complement. The vegetarian plate is a full meal. This is food that tastes even better when shared. So glad to have this local option here!

Marilyn C.

Yelp
The food was delicious, friendly staff, and timely service! Will be going again! We need to support our small businesses in town and this one is 100% worth it.

Christina M.

Yelp
The food is good but the customer service absolutely despicably rude. Children serving with poor attitude and role models to other family members. The privilege exercised here is shoddy to say the least. Wouldn't pay for this again unless someone else buys. Next steps: report to BBB.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Currently on our way to Durango and stopped in for a bite to eat. The hummus and chicken plate was delicious! Reminded me of my grandmas cooking. The gyro plate was also a 10/10.

Carlos B.

Yelp
Sloppy. I don't recommend. Go to another place. It gave me food poisoning plus my friend.

Alfred F.

Yelp
We decided to take a pilgrimage to Chaco and spend a couple of nights in Farmington. We drove by the Olive Tree and noticed the eclectic design of the restaurant so decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. It has been a while since eating really good middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine...probably not since visiting Istanbul just before COVID. The lentil soup was packed with a wide range of subtle flavors. We shard the vegetarian platter that provided a sampling cross section of the menu. We highly recommend this choice. We also shared a Gyro which was well prepared and finished it with a couple of deserts and a spot of tea. The restaurant is cleverly designed with great outside space and even a large playground. Farmington has a little gem in this place!

Nicole M.

Yelp
A new locally owned restaurant that needs our support. That being said and maybe because they recently opened and are working things out, the chicken was so dry. The lamb was tasty and the humus was homemade with a nice citrus flavor.

Sumaya B.

Yelp
Sorry but the food quality was really not very good. Especially the meat. Also there were missing items that I paid for but I didn't realize until I had picked it up and brought it home.

Al M.

Yelp
The food is good, The staff is nice. But the wait time is insane! I received my food 50 minutes after ordering it. 50 minutes! That is unacceptable. Hire more people. They're lucky to be in a small town with not much to offer. In a normal situation, they would be out of business.

Ape T.

Yelp
This restaurant is a treasure in this little one horse town that has struggled to keep good food around. The owners are friendly and welcoming, they are wonderful. If you aren't familiar with Mediterranean or Middle Eastern flavors, don't be intimidated, you will find it flavorful, mild, with hints of something new. Support this local place that offers good portions, quality food and reasonable prices!!! My new favorite place in the 4 Corners area!!

Carol F.

Yelp
The restaurant was clean and staff are friendly. We were quite disappointed to find that all serving utensils are disposable. Our lunch was served in a foam clamshell box With plastic disposable utensils. I had the chicken Shawarma meal. The chicken was extremely dry, the rice did not seem like a real rice product and seemed more like a pressed wheat product that was run through a ricer. That detail is critical for a person who cannot digest wheat. MyHusband had a sandwich of beef and was very disappointed in how very bland it was.. My side salad was fresh, crisp and tasty. We have no plans to return to this restaurant.

Kristin W.

Yelp
The food is GREAT, BUT...We have now ordered from there 3 times and this time the item that we always order was different. The combo plate listed (and pictured) as having beef, chicken and lamb kabob didn't come with lamb. When we called to inquire, the person said, "it has never come with lamb and dad messed up the menu." She went on to say that it has never come that way, even though we have received it the previous two orders with all 3 meats. First world problems, but this is NOT ok. I love their food and want to support a local business, but I think I am done after this experience.

Tatum M.

Yelp
Their food is the most authentic, flavorful Mediterranean food I've ever had! If you don't like it you don't like Mediterranean food because it is genuinely an amazing place for this type of food!

Brenden H.

Yelp
The food was decent at best the only thing worth returning for was the hummus. Both shawarma's were extremely dry chicken and beef and the baklava was just missing some more pistachios I believe. All in all the experience was decent.

Mike R.

Yelp
The food is ok, but after 3 experiences eating here I probably will not be back. The Gyro meet was overcooked 2 of the 3 times, and my order was also incorrect 2 of the 3 times. In addition there were no masks to be seen on any of the staff despite a statewide mask mandate being in place. If they ignore this safety regulation, why should I believe they are following the other food related safety regulations? That being said, the staff is friendly

Av S.

Yelp
I doubt if this restaurant will survive the long term. I like Mediterranean food and was interested to check it out. I entered the establishment and ordered a Lamb kebab plate. It was a hot day and I would have preferred to sit inside in air conditioned comfort. Unfortunately, a failing A/C unit was making an incredibly loud buzzing noise that made having a meal in that environment impossible. Since it was about 85 degrees outside I found a shaded table and waited for the order. It seemed a little slow considering I had the only order up in the kitchen at that time. When delivered everything was in a styrofoam clamshell or plastic container. The Lamb was overcooked but still relatively tasty. Along with the Lamb was about a half of a tomato and the same of onion that had been grilled so they were charred on the exterior. The pita bread and hummus were fine. The salad in the plastic tub appeared to have some spices on it and perhaps a little vinegar and oil dressing but wasn't particularly flavorful. I also had a soda. Considering it cost $20 I feel it was overpriced for the result. I doubt I will return.
