I started off with the pesto goat cheese foccacia bread. The texture of the bread was more like naan bread, which Im a big fan of, but this dish barely resembles a slice of foccacia bread in the traditional sense. Also the ingredients defintely feel like they were thrown on top, rather than integrated in any meticulous fashion. The goat cheese and pesto were quite pronounced and got the job done at least. When it arrived, I was taken back by how it looked more like a pizza flatbread than a traditional loaf of bread. This isnt a bad thing, but it definitely took me by surprise. Also, its basically the size of a pizza, but cut like a st louis style pizza (chekered style). If you are by yourself (or two dainty eaters) than this may be too much for you.
I ordered the roman style half quattro staglioni (with alfredo sauce) and half snow white. texture wise I was satisfied by the crispness this pizza had. Had some crunch but far from tasting burnt. the ingredients are solid in its quality, although they certainly are not the best. I would have liked to have seen the veggies be a little more sauteed/charred but the texture of everything was at least consistent without feeling raw or undercooked.
My friend wanted the Snow White, which I thought was OK, but could have been more creamy in its cheesy profile. It mostly comes off like a mild ricotta.
One thing I like the most about this place is none of the pizzas or breads are overly sauced. Theres enough to where you can taste it, but it never compromises the texture of the bread or drowns out the other ingredients.
The place is pretty small for what it is. Dont be surprised if there is a wait on a weekend night. I went during super bowl sunday, so it was basically a ghost town. Service is decent, although you may need to actively prompt the server for more water if you pound back your water like me.
