Olivos Comida y Vinos Restaurante

Our dinner at Olivos Comida i Vinos was truly an unforgettable experience. Yes, the restaurant proudly holds a Michelin star — but that was not the only reason we wanted to visit. Olivos Comida i Vinos is a very, very small and intimate restaurant, which makes the entire experience feel incredibly special and personal. Getting a table is not easy and requires booking well in advance, and after our visit, we completely understand why. From the very first second, we felt genuinely welcome. Maria, the owner, made it possible for us to get a table on a Friday evening — something we truly appreciated. She personally greeted us and took care of our table throughout the entire evening. Her warmth and attentiveness made us feel comfortable and cared for at all times. The food was simply wonderful. Every dish showed remarkable finesse, creativity, and thoughtful execution. The flavors were refined, the ideas inspiring, and everything was beautifully presented. You can truly sense the passion and dedication behind each course. The atmosphere is dreamy — calm, relaxed, and elegant — allowing you to fully focus on and enjoy the outstanding cuisine. We will definitely return the next time we are in Barcelona. We can wholeheartedly recommend everyone to visit this wonderful place at least once. It’s a very special experience.

I know there are incredible restaurants in BCN, with very good deserved recognition such as Disfrutar, Hermanos Torres, Abac, Lasarte, etc. but I would like to share that my favorite, the one my wife and I chose for 2 consecutive years as our place to celebrate our anniversary dining date, is Olivos. Led by Ezequiel y Maria, the gastro and wine experience, the touch and elegance they drive you through it, the heart they put into every detail, is just memorable.

We recently had lunch at Olivos and I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe our experience (why this restaurant does not have a Michelin star is beyond me)! First, keep in mind this restaurant is open mostly for lunch (dinner Friday nights as well) and the format is tasting menu by reservation only. The space is small/intimate, the service by Maria very attentive and friendly and the chef’s magic behind the scenes far exceeded our expectations. Portion sizes were perfect and the recommended wines paired beautifully with the meal. We have had many tasting menus where typically some of the dishes are wonderful, others mediocre and a few disappointing. Not the case here where each of the courses was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious (no misses at all). If you are in the Barcelona area, I would strongly suggest making a reservation and getting ready for an amazing experience!

What an amazing experience! Ezequiel and María create something really special! We sampled the tasting menu, and allowed Maria to choose our wines, where we picked the Spanish option for her 2 suggestions. Fabulous wine, incredible food. It feels like every square inch of this place and experience has been curated with tremendous love! Highly recommend and would come back any day…

Had an amazing meal at this cozy spot run by a lovely couple. Maria was super friendly — it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. The food was full of flavor, and the fact that they change the menu daily based on fresh local ingredients is seriously impressive. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Our family of 4 was staying in a great Airbnb just 3 doors down from Olivos and our hosts recommended the restaurant. Looked them up, found they had no openings, so we just walked to the door. We were greeted by Maria who was sweet even though I explained we didn't have reservations. She checked her schedule for the next day and we couldn't make it to the opening she had. She offered to take our number and call us if anything changed. Shortly she called and explained that she had moved reservations and made a later opening, could we make that? Couldn't believe that she had gone to so much effort to fit us in! We were so excited! The whole experience was wonderful. Charming atmosphere (they only serve around 8 people for lunch so it's very relaxed and personalized). The service was thoughtful and friendly. The food was creative and left me on more than one occasion observing "that tastes so good, what is that combination?" I guess I would describe the flavors as suprising and unique. They obviously love what they do and take pride in it. We were the last ones there and so had the extra pleasure of visiting with Maria and Chef, talking about where he grew up and ingredients that we all love. Afterwords, Maria even responded to a message telling me to reach out if we needed anything during our stay. It was a truly special experience! Book a table, you won't regret it!

What an amazing restaurant! Ezequiel (the chef) and María are amazing! This is surely the best restaurant I have been in Barcelona! We went for the a la carte menu which is only available on Sunday noon and Friday night, but will surely visit again for their tasting menu. Their hospitality is unparalleled and you feel like you’re at home. The food was exceptional. They alternate the menu and they only serve fresh produce! The green peas were exquisite, as well as the Morel mushrooms. Well, I can keep going for every dish, but you should definitely visit!

This was a true gastronomic experience. It is a very quaint and beautiful restaurant and extremely personal with Ezekiel and Maria. This is Michelin level cuisine and it is bound to receive its first star soon. We were absolutely in awe of our experience, the tasting menu was creative and exquisite. We would highly recommend and we ourselves will be back!!
