Ollé Korean Eats - Review - Belle Meade - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The husband-and-wife team running this fast-casual Korean spot near Belle Meade specializes in Korean comfort foods. Things like crispy fried chicken, savory japchae, bibimbap bowls, and fish-shaped pastries stuffed with red bean or custard. There’s also a small market selling Korean sodas, candies, chips, and pastries, along with an extensive selection of freshly prepared banchan." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Maybe it is off night but every dish we had lacked authentic flavor. Tteokbokki was just sweet with a mild hint of spice which is not supposed to be. As if they are too afraid that we cannot take the heat. The pork cutlet was nicely fried but the sauce tastes more like a sweet tomato sauce. The bulgogi bowl was ok but the amount of salad seems odd. I had Japchae, it was ok, the flavor was too mild for me. I would have preferred more sesame oil, salt and white paper in it. The Yuzu mojito tastes more like an Orange marmelade mojito. It was not bad, just a little too sweet for it. I wish they could accommodate sweetness level but they did not offer me that option. I really want to like this place. I will go back and tried their bachans (Korean side dishes).

⭐ My Rating System: 5 ⭐ — I’ll definitely be back 4 ⭐ — Might come back 3 ⭐ — Probably not 2 ⭐ — Won’t return 1 ⭐ — Don’t recommend It’s a new place, and I believe it will do really well. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating a clean, eco-friendly environment. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and well-balanced. From the trays and seating to the compostable utensils and bowls, every detail seems thoughtfully planned. The drinks were excellent, too. Nashville truly needed this kind of Korean restaurant!

For a place that just open, it really gives a cozy vibes. The food brings a good introduction to the korean cuisine and honesty is not bad at all. I felt a bit claustrophobic due to tables being really close to each other but other than that everything was in the good side. Drinks were great, deserts were cute and delicious and the food a bit pricey (but understandable for the area). Also, theres a little display in the restaurant for to-go item. I wish there was more deserts opinions that doesn't include red beans but i have to respect the culture. Wishing nothing but the best 🥰

Had a great time! It’s super hard to find a nice Korean place close by. My favorite parts are 1) banchan!!!! I’ve always thought about how a quick side dishes store would be a great idea. 2) marketing!!! design of all the art, posters, interior decoration, and specifically: the newsletter that comes out with the food. So so so smart. Definitely owned by a younger person. I’ll definitely come again. a quick suggestion is: make sure the area for placing dishes is obvious somehow and make sure the line towards the ordering counter is more efficient! if the whole place was packed, and there was a line, it would be quite unpleasant for the tables near the counter! Overall, had a great time!!! 9.5/10

Everything I had here was amazing! The kimbap, bibimbap, and donkatsu were so tasty. For dessert, the bungeoppang and the matcha latte were perfect. Honestly, every dish we tried was full of flavor. The staff were super friendly, the place was very clean, and it felt truly authentic. Highly recommend!🌟

I had high hopes based on all the reviews. 1. Orders was a bit chaotic. The menu had a glare from almost every angle. There's not scannable menus or paper menus. The shiny menu screens with tiny writing were a strange idea. 2. Time for food arrive. We orders at 1pm on a Friday and didn't get our food for 20 mins. 30 minutes for the drink. It wasn't a ridiculous amount of time except it's fast casual with only counter service. The wait seemed like excessive. 3. The line was a mess. People standing all over because they couldn't see the weird screen menus to order. People hovering over our tables waiting to order or waiting for food. It felt crowded just from the organization of the line. 4. Food was very bland. Kimbop was dry. needed a dipping sauce maybe. $5 for a quarter cup of kimchi was wild. Food labeling lacked. Veggie dumplings had unlisted gluten meat alternatives inside. It's not ok to say it's all veggie then have meat substitutes inside, especially ones containing gluten. There was no way to tell what anything had in it. I still can't figure out what the ice cream machine was for. 5. Turn off the Ubers eats till you get things figured out or during peak times . They were as organized as they could be but given the wait and mixups, it was understaffed. Maybe when they get better ramped up it will make sense to start. takeout. At the end of the day it was not that tasty and not a great value. I doubt I'd be back but I really wanted to like it. The potential is there if they can figure themselves out.

Honestly my expectations weren't high, but I'll have to say we were very impressed. I like the fact that it was clean and the staff were friendly. We picked up a few sides, some were better than others, definitely authentic. The food on the menu were basic dishes, the bulgogi kimbap and the japchae were really flavorful. The best part is that is right by Trader Joe's.
