Oly - Review - La Condesa - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"Oly feels like a beachside escape in the middle of the city—it’s an airy space to hang with friends over bright Mediterranean dishes. The sunlit spot—half dining room overlooking a lush backyard, half sidewalk seating—sets the tone with Capri-like breezy music and big open windows. The nduja-spiced scallops and ultra-fresh Greek salad with pickleweed are perfect to share, then move on to the pappardelle with anchovies and harissa that’s buttery, decadent, and somehow still light. A fitting finale is the arroz con leche with earl grey toffee soft serve, followed by a trip next door to the just-as-hip bar, Trampa." - Guillaume Guevara

Loved this spot! Solo dined and enjoyed every dish that was recommended. Beautiful setup too and the staff were really friendly. Great vibe, will be back :)

The staff is lovely and welcoming, but the overall experience felt improvised. Several menu and wine options were unavailable, and the wines on offer were poorly stored. Despite the restaurant being less than half full, dishes took a while to arrive. The table next to us seemed to know the manager and were given priority, including their dishes arriving ahead of others who had ordered earlier. The manager even came over to check on them without acknowledging any other tables nearby and she could benefit from additional feedback besides people she knows or influencers. The soup was exceptional and the highlight of the meal. The pastas were fine, not particularly memorable. With a few improvements this place could live up to its potential.

What a stellar experience at this beautiful neighbourhood restaurant. Wonderfully crafted plates. Whisky sours and olives progressed onto elegant lemon pasta, ajo blanco, radicchio and romesco cabbage. Don’t even get me started on the desserts. We loved it all. Cannot wait to come back and try more.

Absolutely loved Oly from start to finish. The bread with olive oil, kofta and inventive teremesu were all delicious, and the service was great as well. Appetizer, two mains, a dessert and two cocktails for under $1000 which is hard to come by at this tier of restaurant. Would return!

So we have been in CDMX (Condesa/Rome Nte) for 2.5 months. We go out to eat in the best restaurants every night. We have been to Oly. at least 5 times and keep returning. HOWEVER the combination of the things we at tonight was w/o question THE BEST MEAL we have had since we have been here! Every bite was delicious: We had Olives/Almonds, Trout Pate, White Soup, Chxn Skewers, and Kafka. OMG blow-your-mind great flavors. We shared everything (so one of each will do the trick). I URGE you to go there and try this combo !!!

What a beautiful restaurant. The decor is stunning, the drinks were fab (the samphire sour cocktail is a must, and a great wine list), and the food is delicious. The trout pate and all the desserts were to die for as are the pastas and the short rib. The staff are so lovely and welcoming too. All round a brilliant experience, thank you Oly ❤️

One of my top 5 restaurants in CDMX. The garlic&grape soup was just extraordinary and nothing that I’ve ever had before. Great service and stunning cocktails. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
