We had such a great experience at Olympia Flame Diner in Deerfield! This cozy, family-owned spot has been a local favorite for years — and now we know why. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is warm and attentive, and you can really feel the pride they take in both their food and service. I had the Olympia Light, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a lighter meal. My dad ordered the tuna club and loved how generous and well-made it was. My boyfriend went for the pancakes — fluffy, golden, and classic diner perfection — and my mom enjoyed a loaded chef salad that was crisp and satisfying. The service was excellent from start to finish — friendly faces, quick refills, and genuine care. It’s the kind of place where you feel like part of the family, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend supporting this local gem!

Consistent wonderful food for over 30 years. The Greek Omelet is phenomenal. Always very clean with great service! All the lunches are delicious. Never fails, bring the whole office. Same beautiful smart ownership for decades. That’s greatness in the restaurant business! See you there for breakfast soon.

Stopped in for lunch at 1:30 and didn't realize they were only open until 1:45 but was gracious enough to accommodate us. Very friendly and my chicken salad was delicious

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were warmly greeted and directed to a table. Our server was friendly and on the ball with everything from condiments to drink refills. She promptly took our drink order and asked whether we had any questions. Our food was perfectly cooked to order and arrived relatively quickly. Everything was delicious. It was our first visit, but we would definitely return and recommend it to others.

A must for us whenever we are in town. Comfort food as it’s best. It reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen. Over the years, we’ve tried many different meals and they never disapointed us. Portions are generous and food is fresh. Staff is super friendly too. Here’s a picture of the soup (you have to try it, it is always DELICIOUS, we got 2 bowls to go) and the burger (I forgot to take a picture before taking my first bite, oops). My mom got a burger too and we shared her french fries (portions are very generous).

An ok place! The food was ok spend $40 for 2 burgers, a coffee, a soda and garlic bread. Maybe a bit overpriced, garlic bread was never again for me. Burger was kind of plain in flavor and fries were not out of this world either. Service was amazing though, very nice and polite staff from the start to the end very nice people.

I stopped in for lunch today at Olympic Flame Diner in Deerfield Beach, and once again it did not disappoint! I keep coming back for one reason: their gyro sandwich. Honestly, it's one of the best I've ever had. The portion is generous, with perfectly cooked gyro meat that's tender and flavorful in every bite. The tzatziki sauce is spot-on--cold, creamy, thick, and just the right tang. The pita bread deserves its own shout-out: warmed to perfection (maybe even lightly grilled), soft in the middle, never too crispy, and with such a good flavor that it ties everything together beautifully. I'll admit, this is the only thing I've tried here because it's that good--it keeps me coming back again and again. If you're a gyro fan, this place is a must. Friendly service, great flavors, and unbeatable comfort food done right. Amazing old school diner vibe. Nathan, my waiter took great care of me. Highly recommend.

I had one of the best biscuits and gravy here. The gravy was delicious. It is a must-try. The flavors were on point. I would keep ordering this dish. I was here for breakfast. They had a good option. I had the Eggstraordinary Breakfast: eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and home fries. Boy, this was a big plate. I liked everything I had. It tasted great and I was satisfied. This was a good place for a good breakfast. The diner has a feel of being here for a long time. It was a good-sized dinner inside. I wish they played music. The place was comfortable and the blue furniture was nice. The table service was great. The waitress kept checking on us. I found the staff friendly. I enjoyed my breakfast experience.

I answered have been to thousands of dining establishments, as there are days when I (and we) eat all three meals out. Of all those dining experiences, over 500 of them belong to Greek restaurants and/or diners. The one thing that has always impressed me was the quality of the food as well as the service (making sure the customer was satisfied with both). Today, I went back to try the Olympic Flame Diner and what a difference from the last time we ate there. Last time, we were greeted by a lady (the sister) and the diner was crowded but it seemed to run more smoothly. I also asked for the same server from last time (Greg) and the service was not the same. I have never been to any diner (Greek or not), where I couldn't get eggs the way I requested them to be cooked. We both requested basted eggs and were told they don't baste eggs. When I asked the owner brother about the cooking issue, he said they have had problems in the past with basting eggs. Although he described the process correctly, he insisted that they don't baste eggs. I ordered Corned Beef Hash cooked on both sides well. My hash came out anything but cooked well. Our server Greg who was very attentive last time, was anything but attentive this time. He and the brother/owner were more interested in chatting with the couple sitting in the booth in front of us, then really checking if everything was okay. My coffee cup was empty so I moved it to the edge of the table. Greg came by and asked if we needed anything my wife said no and since he was standing directly in front of my coffee cup, I felt for sure he would ask if I wanted more coffee. He didn't ask and left our table with my empty coffee cup still sitting there unfilled. It wasn't until quite a bit later. The brother also spent quite a bit of time talking to the same couple as compared to walking around and checking to make sure everyone was satisfied. Last visit (with the sister in charge), all went very well. I wish I could give them a 5 star rating this time, but this was definitely the exception to the rule with Greek diners.

Good diner food with a wide selection of choices. The Rachel sandwich was very tasty and the Cole slaw was also good. Also had the beef mushroom soup, while it was good it wasn't really wow. Conveniently located on federal highway in Deerfield beach.

The food and customer service is absolutely phenomenal! They take the time to get to know their regulars by name. It's like the diner version of Cheers. The diner literally gives me a reason to get up in the morning and go in search of excellent coffee, food and conversation. I personally love to sit at the counter since I go alone and have been enjoying getting to know the staff and the regulars better with each passing week. I was a huge fan 20 years ago but moved and just came back a few weeks ago near the diner and I feel like my day is incomplete until I start my morning there. The menu gives a huge number of scrumptious dishes. Everything I try I love every bite of. If I could give more stars I would!!! Thanks Patty and the entire staff! Love y'all the ambience is wonderful also. Hands down best diner ever.

Upon entering the Olympic Olympia flame, we were greeted by friendly hostess that set us down immediately our waiter came over and offered us water and drinks with a smile we ordered and the food was delivered within minutes. It looked amazing. Unfortunately we dove in before I took a picture, you can see how good it was from the picture shared, everything was very tasty. We had biscuits and gravy with bacon and fried eggs Along with chicken and waffles and coffee. You can't go wrong. We loved everything.

This morning, I came here with two of my close friends. I was impressed by the restaurant's style--quiet, clean, and with food that tasted quite good. Their service was exceptionally attentive, making the experience even better.

Delicious food after arriving to Florida from Pgh. Service top notch and restaurant was very crowded but clean and bright. I had been there about 12 years ago, and still pretty much the same quality except the prices, hey that's inflation though. Total was $54 including tip, coffee and ice tea. Food was served promptly 15 min from ordering and warm. Will be back. Thank you.

this diner has a big menu and classic flavors. the atmosphere feels old-school and vibrant. the staff are pleasant and tentative. a solid brunch spot.

Our server is great, and the food was fresh and delicious. The home fries are absolutely out of this world and I would get them well done as a personal suggestion. I got the Aleksandar omelette which had a bacon ham, American cheese, onion, and mushroom, and then my boyfriend got the Greek omelette and asked for tzatziki sauce on the side. I would highly recommend this place. I'm shocked that I live here my whole life and I've never discovered it and I definitely will be back to try more than just breakfast.

I am writing this review because it's been over two years since our initial review. This is an excellent family owned diner. Food is delicious, always fresh. Greg, our server is very accommodating and very customer service oriented. Patty, the owner is a delightful lady always willing to help out the customers. This is a first class establishment, and we continue to highly recommend the Olympia flame diner.

My first visit today and what a wonderful experience. The Diner is very clean and well maintained. The service is fast and friendly . The food was good and generous. I was cashed out from the owner and had a very nice short conversation. Thank you for a great breakfast.

Our Yelp challenge in 2022 is to try as many local diners in south Florida as we can...and to find the best one! Location #3 - Olympia Flame Diner, Deerfield Beach My wife and I joined a foodie group on Facebook and the Olympia Flame diner was recommended by quite a few folks there. So, we drove over for lunch a few days ago. First impression upon arrival: The place has a real 80's vibe to it. It looks like it could have been a set for some random Scorcese movie, so that's a plus I guess! We were seated right away. Our first booth had a wobbly table so we moved. The next booth had a clunky seat and felt a bit cramped, but we decided to deal. Looking around, I felt like it was a pretty generic interior. Noise level was average. The enticing aroma of fried food wafted through the air. Our waitress was quite a character. She was funny, chatty and friendly and made us feel like we were regulars for 20 years. I liked her style. She didn't miss a beat the whole time and did a nice job serving us. As for the options, the menu was full of typical diner choices, from eggs, omelettes and pancakes to sandwiches, soups, burgers and fries. All the classics were there. For our meal I went with the onion and pepper omelette, home fries, and an English Muffin. My wife got the Eggs Benedict. I liked my omelette. It was well seasoned and fresh. The potatoes could have been hotter, but overall it was a good plate of food. My wife said the Benedict was tasty and fresh, but the eggs were slightly overcooked. Still, she enjoyed the flavor. My only criticism was the terrible coffee. It had a distinctly burnt and acidic flavor which was really awful and made me think that it was sitting on a heater for a while. Absolutely undrinkable. And for $3 bucks a cup...you gotta be kidding me! Coffee aside, we had quite a pleasant experience here! The staff was friendly, the service was prompt and the food was tasty! What more can you ask for? Olympia Flame Diner gets 4 stars for me. Definitely recommended. I will be back! Summary: Food (4/5) - Our food was tasty and fresh and the portions were big. Coffee was atrocious! Atmosphere (3/5) - Generic looking diner, dated interior. Booths were a bit cramped and each had issues. Service (4/5) - Our waitress was efficient and pretty cool. A regular breakfast spot for us! Super attentive waitstaff, great food and spotless. Also, great Greek specialties especially the lemon chicken soup! Will always be in our weekly rotation!

I've never been before, but I had to go to a nearby business so I thought I would go in. It's an old diner feel inside which I like and they seem to have a good amount of customers when I went in. I was seated right away with menu and drink not far behind. The menu choices are what you would expect for diner, which is what I was after. I think I just had something very basic like a cheeseburger deluxe or something and the food was served promptly and warm . So far so good. Somebody was washing dishes or hanging cups or something but the sound of moving plates and things around was really loud. I thought it doesn't take away from wanting to go there. I didn't think the food was anything special. Maybe I even hoped for a little bit better But it's certainly not objectionable at all and I have to try a couple of different entrées to make it better opinion for myself. Found parking behind the building relatively easy. Basically I was looking for someplace to go get a quick bite because I was hungry, catch up on a couple of emails on my phone and leave without a stomachache lol. I can't say I would drive any distance for this cheeseburger lol I was really hoping it was going to be like a handmade patty and taste really good or even dreaming. It might be charcoal broiled or something but I get what I was hoping for at least for a decent meal nearby Mission accomplished

Everything was great. Food is really good. Got the Turkey Reuben and coworker got the Turkey Club. Nothing but good things to say. Cashier was very nice as well.

Left I Hop because wait time to be acknowledged was unacceptable. Headed to Another Broken Egg when we saw Olympia Diner sign and decided to stop. Best decision ever. We were greeted immediately and seated. Bridgette was our server and she was very attentive. Food was delicious, prepared well. Breakfast order and it was nice to actually see butter on our toast without asking for it. We periodically visit family in the area and this will be our go to stop.

This past Sunday, looking for a place to eat that had Gyros (my bf was craving that) and that was open with "social distancing" we came across Olympia on yelp. We called, they had a table for us and when there we realized we knew the place. Do you know how many times I've driven by this diner and didn't even know it's name? Neither do I but, it's been A LOT! Well, time to give it a try... The menu is extensive, diner style. I love a place that has something for any craving you might have, and something for everyone. Breakfast all day, salads, sandwiches, burgers, Greek food, Italian food, seafood, steak, kids' meals, desserts, milkshakes... Every page of the menu I looked at, there was something I wanted to try but when I saw the Tuna Melt, I locked in on that. While we waited for our food, our server prepared a fresh pot of coffee for us and brought us water with lemon on the side. Food did not take long to come out. Everything looked really good and tasted delicious. My only complaint is that they used miracle whip instead of mayo for the melt... not the best for my preference but there was a good amount of tuna in it, and perfectly melted cheese, and really good toasted bread. Fries were delicious and well fried, and they added a side of coleslaw and a pickle too. All this for $12 it is a deal! I even had the half of the melt the next day and was great! Our server was great too! She was friendly, funny and very attentive. So glad I now know what a great diner this is and definitely will be back to try more of their menu.

I was searching for a new diner to try out. I did a quick google map search and this place popped up. I took my parents who love the old school diner feel. This place was a great choice. My mom is a touch critic and never likes going out to eat due to quality of food. However, at this place she said everything was excellent. We also had the pleasure of having the nicest waitress. She mentioned she had also had a great experience dining and then applied to work here. And for good reason, this place is always full. The wait wasn't long. The team here is effective and efficient. I will definitely be back for breakfast.

The place where everyone knows your name!! No seriously, I have been here twice and have been addressed by name since my first visit! I mean what's not to like about that!? Customer service alone makes me loyal to an establishment. This is your local home town diner, with smiling faces, regular customers, amazing fresh large order food, great prices and did I mention the customer service and the food is amazing? Also if you are a hot chocolate and turkey sausage lover like myself; this is definitely the stop to make. Don't delay, make this your next Sunday breakfast spot; thank me later!

You'd be surprised the lengths I'll go to for a good patty melt. The vibes of this place are immaculate. Nostalgia incarnate. The combination of that ancient IHOP your grandparents used to take you to and an actual restaurant with food (yes I am making a slight at IHOP here AND they deserve it so suck it). My fiancé and I dropped in and we're promptly seated and helped by our server who got us both coffees before letting us look over the oddly extensive menu. They were out of Biscuits and Gravy sadly. I ended up with the patty melt and my fiancé had the Olympia omelet, which contain giant pieces of Italian sausage, potato and peppers. She was completely full and loved every bite, but that's all the detail I got out of her. NOW FOR THE FOODIE TO COME IN AND OVER COMPLICATE THE DESCRIPTION A PATTY MELT! Ya know when you go to a restaurant and you order a sandwich that comes with fries, you have to try the fries first. That's how you know what kind of quality you're in for. I obviously stand by this metric and therefore are one fry, and I knew this was the good stuff. The fries were crispy, salty, but still retained some of the potato flavor. And then the patty melt. Great rye bread, big onion pieces with a great thousand island into perfectly melty Swiss. It was heaven. I scarfed that thing down. This place is the epitome of "diner". It's not trying to be anything else. It wants you come in and order food that will taste delicious and get out. It's fast. It's family. It's delicious. I'd highly recommend a stop if you like good diner food like from the Midwest and New England area. Cause this place gets it.

Our absolute favorite place! Patty and her staff do an amazing job, and are always warm and welcoming. We like to get The Mega, which is the perfect start to your day! Our kids love the french toast and chicken & waffles for a special treat.

It's that place you drove by plenty of times and didn't realize there was a cool diner there. It started innocently enough. I wanted a gyro and we looked around to see who had a good one. We called ahead and made sure Olympia was open and then we were off to the place. As we got closer we both mentioned we weren't positive what it looked like. the funny thing was we both drove by that part of US1 all the time. But as we pulled in be harmonized, "ohhh", as we both recognized it. Instead of a typical Greek restaurant, it was actually a diner, with a powder blue sign. I was a little more energized to get in and see a menu. I like a good diner and it had been years since the last time I was in one. As we swung into our booth I took a tally of how classic of a diner it was. There was the counter seating, spacious booths, the long diner layout, and of course, spinning cakes. We order fairly quick. It was a large menu but we actually had a good idea what we wanted. I got the Gyro and onion rings, she got a tuna melt. In quick order we had out meals. The really nice server brought over the additional things like hot sauce and condiments and we dug in. The Gyro had more cucumber sauce that I've had before, but I do love the sauce. Also they darn near minced the onion and tomato. Different. the onion rings meanwhile were as classic as a A&W rootbeer. It was a great experience overall, and we settled up at the register at the front. That is, not before getting a piece of one of the spinning cakes to go.

Great little diner! Everyone is so nice and food is consistently good. We usually get breakfast, but I have had a tuna salad sandwich and took a whole pie to go for a small party. Covid-19 days, they require masks, all staff wear masks, and the booths are partitioned with plexi glass for your safety. We like that we never wait for a seat and on the weekends mimosas!

My Bestie & I went out for breakfast this morning. We had just ordered. When a patron came in and informed the owner Patty of Olympia Flame Diner "White BMW leaking a lot of gas out front. " We parked right in front of The Olympia Flame Diner. We had just left the Shell on the corner of Hillsboro & Federal Hwy with a full tank of gas !Kathy had to call 911 Cops & fire department. I believe the entire gas tank leaked out! We traveled across the country from CT to CA to NV to NM to Deerfield Florida. Olympia Diner is by far the best diner we have visited thus far! Patty the owner is amazing! She treats everyone like family. So if you get to Deerfield Florida don't waste you time anywhere else for great food and great prices!

Tried and true! This greek eatery has been a staple of the community for some time now. The Greek Dishes on the menu are authentic, delicious and come out of the kitchen hot and inviting. I've had most of the hot dishes on the menu as well as the salads (yes, with anchovy!). Diner comfort foods, omelettes, breakfast anytime, hot open face sandwiches, et all, come just the way you like! On this visit I was hungry for eggs, bacon, rye toast, and hot coffee. Not exotic but just what I was in the mood for today. So if you need some recommendations for dining here go with: Omelettes (any kind) Lamb Shank Mousaka Pasticio Greek Salad Meatloaf Napoleon Rice Pudding And these are just of my favorites and go to dishes! Servers are cheerful and keep your beverage choice filled at all times! C o m f o r t food....Yes!

It's always a pleasure dining at Olympia Flame. I've been coming here for years. I'm a big fan of the Greek salad with anchovies. I've also enjoyed plenty of the other menu options. Everything is fresh and tasty. Great friendly waitstaff and the owner pleasantly greets all who enter. I'll be back for more.

Hi Patty, I already sent you my review on your fantastic diner. I recalled that my mom and I loved to dine there several times a week. She has since passed away, however, I miss the food and good feeling that I always had. I'm just so scared I might get emotional coming in without mom, but I must push through the grief. We ate here on two separate occasions (lunch and then breakfast) over the past week. Short waits (10 mins), great service, nice menu selection, small requests handled easily and correctly, meals were enjoyed by all. If you enjoy diners like we do, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Olympia Flame is the Heart and Soul of Deerfield Beach Diners. Everyone is so friendly and the service is top notch. Patty is so sweet and makes sure that your experience is the best it could be. I'm a big breakfast person, so I only have had breakfast here. On that note, their biscuits and gravy is the best I've ever had. I make some pretty good B&G, but this tops it. Everything is made from scratch and keeps you coming back for more. It's hard to deviate from what I love and to try new things, but I have never been disappointed in doing so. I highly recommend this Deerfield gem for a memorable experience that will leave you smiling.

Great friendly service! This place is always a favorite but sometimes it is hard to get there before 2 pm when they close for the day. They always have good soup and I chose the Beef Lentil. Really good flavor and it hit the spot! Try it !!

Having grown up in New York we love a good diner. Living in Deerfield Beach we have been going to Olympia Flame Diner for over 16 years! It is a typical Greek Diner. It is consistently good and Very reasonably priced. It has been in this neighborhood for many years and is a hometown favorite. Many locals frequent this place and you will always find it crowded with snowbirds in the season. It is family run and you will always see a family member welcoming you as you arrive. The service has always been on point and the restaurant is always spotless! There is parking right in front, on the side and in the back. Having recently relocating to the Tampa area when we visit family we come back to Olympia for breakfast. If you are in the area I recommend to give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

We had lived here for 16 years, and have always found this diner to have excellent food and service. It is family owned and operated for many years. The feel is classic 60's -70's decor. This last visit was for breakfast. I had a ham and swiss omelet, home fries and rye toast. Ive had their pancakes, french toast, bacon and sausage. All the items always tasted very good. For lunch and dinner there are the usual menu items you will find in a diner. Sandwiches, salads, burgers, steaks, chicken fish, and greek specialties. Plenty of parking in 2 lots next to and behind the diner. They close at 10 pm.

Solid diner fare, typical diner ambiance, friendly prompt service. Can't ask for more from a diner.

This is a great little diner in Deerfield Beach. We went on Sunday morning around 10am, so it was very busy but I loved that they were very accommodating and service was very quick. We had a party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers and they set us up very quickly. We waiting for an out 5 to 7 minutes for a table. Our server was very sweet and accommodating. The breakfast platters came out quickly and everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals. The food was good. I had the YiaYia salad and many pieces of cucumber were really bitter, like they had turned. The pancakes, which my son had, were really good. We will go back to this restaurant and try other things. The staff is very friendly and I love that they use compostable straws. It's great so close to the beach and it's great using sustainable products.
