Where to Eat Korean Food in Tacoma’s Lakewood K-Town | Eater

"A women-only jjimjilbang and day spa that serves as a restful, expansive retreat for female visitors; the steam rooms and spa facilities are spacious enough that the writer once spent nearly an entire visit inside, and the spa also functions as a local landmark and gathering point for Koreatown outings." - Samantha Bakall

I have been coming for close to 10 years now and generally I love it here, however coming here when it’s crowded completely ruins the experience. When I was there the spa was at max capacity and you cannot comfortably use the facility when it’s this busy. The pools are full, the sauna and steam room is full, the heated rooms are full, the lounge is full, it’s loud because everyone is talking everywhere you go. You wait for the bathroom, wait to get to your locker, wait to check in, wait to check out, the restaurant had an hour wait the entire time I was there from the moment it opened. There was no where for me to be, so I left. I usually spend 8+ hours here but today I left after just 4 hours. Please consider reducing your max capacity by at least 10%. I have gotten most of their services over the years and would recommend sticking to the scrub and moisturizer if you’re going to do more than just a day pass here. The massages are expensive and leave a lot to be desired, I have tried multiple times thinking that it maybe was just the provider I got but every time now I walk away thinking, my husband who certainly isn’t an LMT could give me the same quality massage for the price I just paid (~$3/min). It was relaxing but not worth what they charge. Also if you ever get a prenatal massage they do not have a prenatal table here, you just have to lie on your side for your massage.

I took a day off on a Monday for my birthday and decided to treat myself to a relaxing spa day. I specifically chose a weekday to avoid crowds and enjoy some quiet, quality time. I booked a body scrub and planned to spend the rest of the day using the facilities. Unfortunately, the spa was extremely crowded, even on a Monday. I spent a large part of my visit waiting in lines — to use the restroom, take a shower, and even to access my locker. For someone like me who feels anxious in crowded spaces, this made the experience stressful instead of relaxing. After my scrub, I took a quick shower and then left, without being able to enjoy the rest of the amenities that were included with my day pass. I do want to mention one positive: the spa was very clean, and the scrub therapist did an amazing job. The treatment itself was excellent. Overall, the overcrowding ruined what was meant to be a special and relaxing birthday experience.

Google
Yes!!!! (With some small nos) I loved that they looked after the security guard and gave him a warm hit while outside. I love that they have a security guard for women walking alone to their cars late at night. The pools and rooms were amazing. Amazing. I felt incredible. I wish they would turn off the lights and do all candles all the time. It feels entirely different. I wish it were quieter. At times, with all the talking, it was hard to think. And it is expensive. But. I loved it. Loved it. Loved it.

Google
I used to LOVE this place! But, the guests do not respect the whisper voice rule in the wet room. Ladies talking at full volume, and lots of them. Not even trying to be quiet. I wore ear plugs and could still hear all the voices from the chatty ladies. I have never witnessed woman NOT wearing the hair protector caps before, but there were 4-5 ladies just letting their loose hairs get into the tubs. The staff really should monitor the wet room frequently. There is another spa closer to my home that allows NO talking. It's not as grand as Olympus, and more expensive. But, I will be going there from now on. I have LOVED Olympus since 2009. But, my time as a guest is finished. So sad. I will miss the good old days when people stayed quiet and followed the rules meant for everyone. Peace Out Olympus.

Google
I enjoy the daily pass for the spa ! And all the extra add ons are spectacular! It’s pretty decent price to spend the day in heated rooms, saunas, and perfect temperature hot tubs that are invigorating for sure! On every level this is my favorite place to be ALONE and away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Update: I finally purchased services and got myself a massage as a Christmas gift to myself — anyways Keri was a wonderful massage therapist, who was extremely gentle with my entire body & mind. She was caring and compassionate which made me comfortable during the massage! She asked questions to understand what I was looking for and focused on a few targeted areas, I will definitely be asking for her again inn the future !

Google
Super clean, comfortable, friendly staff. I’ve been going to Olympus spa in Tacoma and Lynnwood for over 27 years. I absolutely love the body scrub and warm milk n honey cucumber facial. On your birthday you get half off & after 10 visits you get a free entry pass. Highly recommend this empowering and liberating experience.

Google
Olympus is my go-to for ultimate relaxation! The hydrotherapy, heated rooms, tea room, and restaurant make it a one stop shop. I love going by myself to journal and read or with friends for connection time. If you have the time and resources to get a service, you can’t go wrong. It’s a special treat to get my nails done there as the experience is above and beyond. Anita is wonderful, kind, and skilled. Thank you and I’ll be returning soon!

Google
I wish I could give 5 stars to this lovely sauna. We had a good experience there before going to the restaurant, but the restaurant experience was completely different. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. We will never go back. The so-called kimchi risotto was awful—overcooked rice with a lot of spicy kimchi. The level of spiciness should be mentioned on the menu. On top of that, we were overcharged for a side dish that is supposed to be free with the Beef BBQ. At checkout, we were told that two side dishes were served in one dish; however, both sides were the same size. Overall, this restaurant failed on every level—service, food quality, and honesty. We would not recommend it.

Yelp
First time at a spa resort. Decided to opt for a body scrub. I have never had one before. It was definitely a worth it experience. Shock of thoroughness of what a full body scrub entails but satisfactory with the end results. Leaving my skin exfoliated and baby smooth. Afterwards a massage which was heavenly. Given some tea and chocolate. The Lava room meant only for 5 minutes. Spent 10 minute, so relaxed I almost fell asleep. Salt room was pleasant. 7 other rooms with each their own music and ambience. Lots of places to lounge and read and feel safe. No shame or judging. I have never felt so relaxed after a day pass 6 hours. Multiple spas to choose from. Comfortable robes and caps. showers with all the essentials and needs a gal could ask for. Along with a restaurant and smoothie. Definitely worth it and coming back! Side note: Bring cash to tip for the additional services.

Yelp
My visit was outstanding everyone was so professional and caring the pools and steam room were temps were tested very peaceful

Yelp
Absolutely love the scrub by Kelly. She's always so kind and sweet, and asks throughout the service if I'm comfortable. The restaurant is also just fabulous. I've enjoyed each dish I've tried, and I always enjoy the various smoothies. This is the best korean spa, in my opinion and I always look forward to my day of self-care here.

Yelp
I'm annoyed how crowded the the pool are. Not everyone could sit, so they stood in the middle of the pool. It's just 10 am on Monday. Please limit how many people can enter the place. So, I went to tea room, ordered tea so I can have some quite time. The room was empty. Great. Not for long. 5 mnts sitting here, the restaurant let 4 other ladies to eat lunch in this room! So all tables are packed and started become noisy too. Very dissapointed. Is this a spa??? I think the owner need to reevaluate this. Is it all about money? Please read "About Us" why this place was opened in the first place. Just so you know, it does't feel that way anymore.

Yelp
Was gifted with the Relaxation Pkg. I called to make appt and told receptionist I have been coming here for over 20 yrs. I have not been here in 2-3 yrs. She was adamant that I do my scrub first, then my massage. I told her I would be there for a whole day, decompressing, reading, lunch, ect. She was not very customer friendly but hey, I'll just do my thing. Arrived at 10 am. Receptionist said I owed over 200.00 to get in. I told her I gave my e certificate number to previous receptionist on phone at booking. It took her 15 mins to figure out a " hot mess " (as she described) on the computers . So much for coming in early to not be stressed and get a chance to relax. Locker room was clean, but noisy ( bring earplugs if you want peace). When some women come as a couple or more, they tend to think the spa is a coffee shop catch up time. I used to love this place for whispers only environment. Not unforced anymore. I think as a society we have lost the respect of rules or policy's in place for the wellbeing of others. This is a spa folks.....not your therapy time with your bestie. I came for quiet and peace and did not get it during my stay. Being a plastic water bottle, but there are fountain throughout for hydration. I went in a hot 150 degree sand room pre massage. 2 women again, talking up a storm. Left to try another room. It was very crowded for a Friday. Maybe limit amt of folks when it is this crowded? Massage was supposed to be 50 mins. I expressed I wanted all over body massage. She mainly focused on my neck and forearms. Left bruises on my forearms. Massage only lasted 40 mins. Very disappointed. She talked the entire massage. Then I went restaurant for lunch. Very noisy again, even with earplugs in. Had a Mongolian roll with mozzarella. Delish! Service top notch. Tables need updating as they are old and worn through pretty bad. Ordered tea. A cup cost me 7.00! Total bill was like 26.00. A bit steep I thought for a lunch. Then made heated room visits for next 2 hrs. Some rooms need cleaned cloth covers on floor as I was reluctant to lay in a wet body print from another person previous to me. I love the journaling cabin room. Loved the scent in there. Also loved reading room with puffy bean bag chairs. This place is not handicap accessible fyi. Difficult to get up out of laying position from floors from this 64 yr old. Many women on their cell phones in spa area which again, posters stating " no cell phones" Next was water area. AGAIN NOISY. Signs all over to whisper only but nobody enforces at all. Dry sauna was not working. Steam room had a bad smell to it. It used to smell of eucalyptus. My scrubs by Kelly was 5 stars! She was so professional and communicated well. She was in her 50'a and has the most relaxing touch. I told her my AZ tan would be coming off as she scrubbed and we both laughed. The moisture treatment following is a MUST!!!! Fresh cold cucumber with herbs on face was my fave with the head massage. The super warm olive oil, fresh cream and honey was a much needed service. Honey is a humectant and draws moisture into your skin. I felt overall it was a good visit, minus the noisy from others who can't read signs to whisper. I'll bring better earplugs next time.

Yelp
Found a day pass deal online. Purchased 2, and they were mailed to us. Recommend visiting early (around 10am) to really utilize all the amenities. Nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash before entering the pools. Sitting and standing (more private) showers available. Based on my experience, there were limited room types and pool temperatures. In the pool area, there was one steam sauna (water release every ~15-20 min), one dry sauna, one cold pool, 3 warm/warmer/warmest pools, mugwort water you can pour over yourself. Rooms were of varying temps (75-110+) - one had a lovesac which was fabulous to nap on. Common area room you can chill/read in, as well as a tea room (tea available for purchase). You can find details about hot/cold pool, various rooms on their website. Didn't purchase anything at the restaurant, but menu had good selection and was decently priced. Meals that I saw on tables look good. Also got a 50 min body massage ($125) - masseuse hit all three body areas I mentioned I was feeling tension in. I did call prior to book this massage, scheduled for ~3pm, so I could use the amenities and not need to jump back in the pool and wash away the massage oil. Overall, a nice occasional treat, or a gift. Best to purchase when there are deals going on. Wish there was more variation in pool temps (specifically hotter). Also wish there was a clay ball room, but alas!

Yelp
I give this place a five star. I do six stars if I could this little Korean spa is amazing. They have several rooms the charcoal room assault room at reading room a children room, Meditation room, a cabin room and a mud and sage room. I think then they have several different pools from cold to hot hot and the scrub. I will tell everybody to book the scrub body scrub so so so so good top-tier A1 go there and get the scrub and then the day pass you'll thank me later. there's even a restaurant that has the yummy food and a tea room. Go try it out.

Janet W.

Yelp
this is an excellent facility. The staff is friendly and helpful, my experience is consistently restful, healing, and beautiful. Plus the restaurant offers a wide variety of excellent authentic Korean food.

Yelp
It may seem odd going to a spa and being naked around a bunch of other women, but I promise no one is looking or cares. The pool area features different temperature hot tubs, a cold tub, sauna and steam room. No bathing suits of robes are allowed. For the rooms of different themes and temperatures you wear a robe. I enjoy the sand room, and the Himalayan salt room the most. But all of them are nice. They have a delicious Korean restaurant and also offer a tea room some days of the week where you pay a flat fee for tea all day long. The services they offer range from body scrubs to massage. I usually pick two and have enjoyed their facial, massage, body scrub, and pedicure in the past. Personally I did not enjoy the mud wrap because I got too hot.

Yelp
The spa was spotless as always. It's clear they take pride in providing a quality experience for their customers. I always appreciate the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions and other amenities in the locker room.

Yelp
Potentially my new favorite place on earth. I booked a rejuvenation package, which included a day pass, scrub, and moisturizer. I booked a few weeks in advance but my friend came with me and got a walk-in day pass. I went on a Saturday and it was definitely busy, but this did not take away from my experience. I started in the saunas, where we wore thin robes and had the opportunity to lay down and soak in the heat. The sand room was SO lovely, and I loved the salt room as well. People are pretty quiet and respectful in these rooms and it was very relaxing. There are also clocks throughout. After an hour or so of sauna, we went to the pools, which are full nude. It is SO clean and you really get used to the nudity after a minute or two. The pools are lovely. We showered and went onto the reading room next to read for an hour in the gentle heat on the bean bags. I was hungry, so we headed to the onsite restaurant in our robes. So many amazing options for all dietary needs! I got a bibimbap with tofu and a smoothie, both of which were lovely. I love how phone-free this spot is. We really never saw a screen or heard a phone which was so lovely. My scrub was awesome. In true Korean style, it was in a communal room and she scrubbed layers and layers off of me. My skin feels so fresh and new, definitely recommend! I stayed about 8 hours and could have stayed longer, but you can't use the pools or hot sauna after the moisturizing treatment. If you go, definitely schedule treatments for later in the day! I will be back, hopefully soon!

Marilee J.

Yelp
go early or late if you like less crowds. very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. very clean facilities. they keep noise levels down too, so you can enjoy a quiet soak. massage was great! pretty standard but relaxing. it always renews your body and spirit. yes, treat yourself!

Yelp
HI. I went for a relaxing spa and ended up in the ER due to a skin condition that was caused by dirty water. I would never go back. I asked for a.full refund and the er copay and.pay for the 2 days of work I missed. They won't even give me a full refund. Stay clear!

Tracy B.

Yelp
Disgusting customer service. If reception is being rude to customers, how are you guys expecting to get business? If you are the one greeting the customers, learn how to be respectful. Totally rude and disrespectful behavior as soon as you walk in. There are better spas in the area. I will recommend this place if you want to feel disgusted by rude employees up in the front.

Yelp
The spa is such a safe, welcoming place for women. I have been coming regularly for almost 20 years!

Yelp

Yelp
This facility is great and the body scrub was amazing. I didn't give it 5 stars because the pool area is supposed to be whisper voices only and there was a large group of women that was very loud and disruptive. I was surprised that staff didn't tell them to pipe down.

jessica s.

Yelp
I had my first visit today and it was amazing. I loved all the heated rooms and got lots of quiet and reading time. It got super packed after about 2 hours and I left. Couldn't really enjoy much when it was so busy. I feel like they should limit the number of guests allowed in at a time. Otherwise it's not very enjoyable.

Yelp
We came to Olympus spa on a Friday. This was such an amazing experience! You check in at the front desk, and you can stay in the spa for as long as you like, however if you leave you cannot return that day. We signed in, got our robes and shower caps, and enjoyed the following: Showers-you need to shower with soap before entering or re entering the pools. The pools-they have pools of different temperatures. But Shhh! No loud talking. Saunas-they have a wet and a dry sauna. Rooms-they have rooms in the back of different temperatures with names like "Sand Room", "Mud and Jade" and "Cabin Room". They also provide services like massages, exfoliations and manicures, and they have a restaurant! I felt so safe and comfortable here, and can't wait to come back for more rest and relaxation. HIGHLY recommend!

Laurelee G.

Yelp
Kelly did an amazing scribble from my neck to my toes! Followed my a wonderful massage then finished the day w a lovely facial with Nichoele. Such a treat. The place is very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Not a fan that they now charge for a day pass. They used to waive it if you had two pre more services so it is $$$$. Still worth a treat day when you can.

Ashley P.

Yelp
we love this place, even when it's busy it can still be relaxing! the staff is super chill and friendly and the spa offers lots of different options and treatments to try. always a treat to visit ‍

Violet J.

Yelp
Every time I come to Olympus I'm reminded I should visit frequently. The infused water is a must and even just purchasing the day pass and using the amenities is a perfect way to spend your day. I desperately wish I had my own hot mug-root water bath available at home. The food is absolutely delicious if you have a love for Korean food. Setting a goal to visit once a month should be on everyone's list.

Kim F.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed with my experience. Having been here a few times and found it very healing - this time was the opposite. The manager would not honor the cost of my original service -a service that was part of a package that was canceled during my appointment due to the massage therapist not being available- saying the prices had gone up in 2025. My appointment was in Dec 2024 so it would've been a narrow window in which to reschedule. Olympus Spa should've covered the difference instead of putting me out a second time.

Alina S.

Yelp
it was very very loud, I couldn't even relax and enjoy my service! I addressed this to my scrub lady many times she seemed stepped out and checked but it was way more louder before. I think the stuff has to walk around and tell people be quiet. It was insane!!!
google avatar

Bailey R.

Yelp
I came here as a gift for my birthday this year. I was absolutely blown away by the staff, cleanliness of the amenities and quality services. Peaceful and relaxing feminine space. Can't wait to come back, well worth the money!
google avatar

Cindy H.

Yelp
It's a good option if you are looking to unwind, relax and get a good old scrub down. Not sure what they are paying their staff but they could be a bit more welcoming and customer service oriented. My impression is that they are annoyed most of the time. Not the best vibe. The on-site restaurant staff was fantastic and the food was good for the price. Worth a trip or two per year!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
My trip to Olympus Spa was exactly what I needed! The pools are so amazing and I cannot get enough of the mugwort. I had couldn't resist getting a scrub and it did not disappoint. She did an amazing job. I then got the body moisturizer following. It was way better than I expected. A lil body massage, facial and moisturizer all in one. Amazing! A much needed self care night and it was perfect.

Rachelle D.

Yelp
A group of us went for my friends birthday. It was perfect. The front desk was very helpful with leaving the passes at the front desk for us. We ate at the restaurant twice because the food is so good. We all got pedicures and plan to never get one anywhere else except here because they were amazing. We plan to come monthly as it's our favorite place to unwind and decompress. Pure heaven!!

Tara J.

Yelp
Great vibe! Get the body scrub - totally worth it! And the bibimpap at the restaurant is great too!

Yelp
I've been here twice and the last time (Saturday morning) it was so crowded that there was a 3 hour wait. The spa is small if you've been to other K Spas in bigger cities. Surprisingly, it's very clean. I just wish we were given slippers for the bathrooms. It always gives me the ick walking into a public bathroom barefoot even though it looks very clean. The pools and sauna area is also clean but VERY loud. There are signs everywhere to speak quietly but as you can see from the other reviews, people don't respect it. Perhaps reminding patrons at check-in to use a quiet voice could be helpful. For the most part, the front desk is very helpful and nice even when it was busy. There was only one young woman who was curt and snappy. She seemed out of place since everyone else was really nice. The kitchen staff seemed overworked. They're quite nice but look tired. The food wasn't bland as other reviewers mentioned. The portions were big and it was flavorful. In the evenings, the pool area is dim and has candles which is lovely. I wish they did this the entire time and maybe it would be quieter. My only gripe, and they should really remind patrons, the candlelight ends at 9pm. The rude girl from front desk just came in and started blowing out the candles which confused everyone. The only concerning thing is that in the Cabin room, there were quite a few messages saying that the patrons had their period and still came. This was super gross to read and wish people would be more considerate of others.

Yelp
Came here as I have heard many good things about it. They do offer a variety of services including body scrub, tea room, nails, and massage. We only went for the day pass this time ($53/person). We enjoyed a variety of sauce rooms and the chill rooms. We also enjoyed the pools with different temperatures. Quite relaxing as it was an all-women facility. It was also very apparent that they did a good job of keeping the facility clean. The only downside was that there were a lot of people on a Thursday afternoon; I guessed many people were on the holiday break. No cellphone was allowed in the spa.
google avatar

Bea R.

Yelp
I went to Olympus Spa for the first time and got the body scrub and massage. The scrub is amazing! Prepare for baby soft skin! I didn't have time to spend several hours, so I didn't get a chance to visit the restaurant which I've heard good things about. One thing I wish I'd known before going was that you needed to bring cash to leave a tip...which I didn't have. Also, as another person mentioned, there's a lot of talking from people that visit with friends, etc. They do ignore the signs asking people to keep quiet..which is not relaxing. I went alone, but would've been respectful of others even if I came with friends. I'd love to return, but plan to try on a day less busy.. They really need to do better about the noise. People are spending a lot of money to relax..

Yelp
Given the expense of the Olympus Spa experience, I can only enjoy its luxury on occasion. But I have been lapping up the bliss for well over a decade! I am always impressed by the kindness, efficiency and thoroughness of all workers throughout the spa. There is no doubt about this aspect - they all score a 5-star+. BUT. Olympus Spa have failed miserably in recent years by not valuing one of their MAIN touts which is being a restful space of quietude. In fact, there are signs EVERYWHERE about keeping silent or maintaining voice levels to a "whisper quiet". Oh my...I wish! Sadly, it is a blistering level of bugling beauties and trumpeting lassies. Last year I vowed never to go again when I returned home with a migraine because it was loud! However, I received a gift card and it took me almost a year to muster to courage to return. I'm glad I did because the excellent services reminded me what a special place this Spa "could" be. Yet, the bugling trumpeting screaming beauties blared forth. When I first attended the Spa over a decade ago, staff used to frequently come the pools' edge with a sign "whisper quiet", waggle a finger and give a gentle "shhh!" AND everyone quietened. PLEASE oh please bring back the ladies of the blissful "ssh!". If we are to pay such an amount for quiet, and signs everywhere displaying as much, then BE that quiet! There are many other spas and spaces, where you can trumpet away. Everyone must sign off on various forms when entering the spa, so add a page stating "I will be quiet" - and SIGN OFF. For the migraine level loudness, the Spa looses a star (or all 5). Otherwise, this place would be utterly perfect. If only, it would be honest to its commitment to "whisper quiet". If only....praying and dreaming of delightful, restful and quiet Korean spa.

DeNell O.

Yelp
Loved the scrub and moisturizer, like everything else it is getting expensive, but I will be back.

Renae M.

Yelp
this is an amazingly relaxing way to spend the day. The services are incredible, but even if you chose not to have a massage or a body scrub, you could easily spend hours in the sauna area or in the heated rooms, relaxing. The day pass is very well worth it, and the restaurant has never disappointed me. Be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Yelp
The hype is real. This place is awesome! I was really nervous to go the first time. A lot of people shared their love for this place and I felt too overwhelmed to go but after my first visit, I literally visited again a few weeks later. PARKING & LOCATION // It's right next to the Lynnwood Convention Center in a plaza/strip mall and there is a ton of parking. I've been here twice and even on a day with a big event going on at the Convention Center, I had no problems finding parking right in front of place. Olympus Spa looks small from the outside but it's huge inside. GENERAL PROCESS // When you first come in, you check in at counter where they will confirm any appointments you have or ask if you want to add anything (such as the tea room). After checking in, you leave your shoes at the cubby and go to the locker room. AMBIANCE/SERVICES // There are a ton of different heated saunas to relax in. My favorites are the Salt Room, Sand Room, and Jade Room. I also love the Cooling room. I would say my least favorite is the Reading room. I also got a BODY SCRUB which I think is totally worth it. If you're feeling weird about the wet area, try to get out of your head and I promise you'll enjoy it! FOOD // The food here is SO good. Like genuinely good. If they had a restaurant outside of this, I would totally go. I ordered the SOONDUBU every time and it was great! I saw another table order the seafood pancake and I want to try that next time. GENERAL THINGS TO KNOW // I suggest bringing any reading materials (Kindles are fine) in the dry areas and a NON-GLASS water bottle. They are really strict about glass water bottles so be careful! Always bring your key with you and just put it around your water bottle. I would recommend that you start in the dry area, go to the wet area, and end back in the dry area. OVERALL // 5 stars It's really worth the hype and it's such a fantastic day to take a day off!

Rhonda B.

Yelp
Best body scrub ever. One of the most relaxing spas. They have worked really hard to keep it that way.

Yelp
It has the bare minimum required to call itself a Korean spa, but it sadly is the only one in the Seattle area. Olympus Spa does the job, but if there was just one other competitor I doubt it would get as much business. As an avid Korean-spa goer, here's my two cents: Women only. Never heard of one that doesn't allow men. Typically, korean spas are meant for families, and clearly this was not meant for that. The majority of the clientel are older, white women. It-does-the-job rooms. There's 8(?) rooms, but most of them hit the bare minimum. Clay room but no clay; Salt room with no salt. The walls are covered in these themes but you don't get to actually touch or walk among them. The hottest room is only 150 degrees, and I've been baked at 210 before, so this is very weak to me. I've been in chill rooms where your fingers could get stuck to the wall or there was enough ice on the walls you could build a mini-snowman. The chill room here is just 60 degrees AC with two chairs and a bench, and, my home is colder than that. There's at least two rooms just dedicated to reading alone. 4 Pools, all about the same temperature. 97 vs 107 degrees is not going to feel much of a difference. Bottom line, the coldest needs to be much coldest and the hottest needs to be much hotter. The culture is different: -Robes instead of tops and shorts. You need to wear the cap they give you at all times. -They take your car key...? -No one uses the sitting shower. -Most people are reading. -Expected silence in the common room. I'm all for these things but these don't happen in actual Korean spas. It is very common in spas across Seattle, because they're day spas mostly targeting non-working women, but not in authentic Korean spas you'd find anywhere else. Things they do well: -Tea room is a nice add. It's cool they have a restuarant. They keep the shoes off and full nudity culture. -Staff service and friendliness is A++. I really don't see how anyone could complain about them - the phones are always off the hook, people coming in and out at all times, they are freggin reslient! Always busy - To my surprise, it's very packed even on the weekdays early morning, and it only got worse by noon. Not only will it be extremely busy at the spa, good luck trying to find parking! Price - 50% off for birthday is worth it, but $48 regular entree is... steep. For relaxing? Hard to when there's so many people. Even though Olympus Spa is only a fraction of what it should be, I would still recommend this place.

Yelp
Fabulous scrub and relaxation. A little confusion about moisturizing as a part of scrub.... But that i think is because the Spa used to offer combo packages that I took advantage of. The plus side of not getting the oil-milk-honey moisturizer after scrub is that you can go back into the tubs!

Yelp
Absolutely a wonderful experience went for my birthday. I will tell you the services are great. The places is wonderful and they even have a place for lunch inside, but it is a bit pricey and I only had one bad issue with one of the services with one lady that was quite aggressive, when I didn't feel comfortable but being fully nude in one area, which I did not want to do the full pool area, but I wanted to do a service that was in that area and I had asked the front desk if it was OK to have a towel around me to just go through they had told me yes but the lady that did my service Jackie was quite aggressive and almost took off my towel, but everything else was wonderful there. I did let the manager know.

Yelp
It was so relaxing. I received a body scrub and moisturizing treatment, both were incredible. I always appreciate the cleanliness of the spa and feel confident receiving services. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Awesome from start to finish. We were a party of 3 and all of us had a great experience with our service providers. We also ate at the restaurant that was delicious! Clean facility, nice amenities ( soaps, hair dryers, misc.) Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
As with each of my times at Olympus Spa, I had a beautiful, beneficial time. It was a shorter visit than usual however, so I had to be strategic. With a friend, we decided to visit the heated rooms for five or six minutes each and then have one of the glorious treatments there: the full body moisturizer. We knew we were supposed to go into the dry sauna about five minutes beforehand, but one of the staff came to suggest we soak in the tub for five or 10 minutes and then just do the dry sauna for two minutes before they would come and get us. Also she reminded us to wash hair before the treatment because we shouldn't shower, soak or shampoo afterwards. I hadn't planned that in to the sequence so I was grateful that they gave us this extra reminder about 20 minutes ahead of our scheduled appointments. That was great customer service!

Yelp
Another great day at Olympus. The scrub is amazing and the hot rooms so relaxing. Fridays can be super busy though.

Yelp
Great relaxing place. Great food from the restaurant! Only complaint is that they didn't let me read my kindle! Was trying to enjoy the peace and my book!

Yelp
Decided to check out this spa as I heard good things in the past... Was so disappointed. My self-care day became a relatively stressful day, ironically. Like the other poster said, the pools were sooo packed it was far from being relaxing, not to mention it felt a lot like a gym/fitness center, minus the fitness part. Locker area was packed and loud. Wasn't able to check out the tearoom as it was full most of the time and it felt more like a library. Nothing in the facility felt like what the Spa was intended to be. Only exception was the nail service area where it was quite secluded with relaxing music and very kind lady, Anita. The restaurant served good food but price was steep, which was expected. The issue was again, it was way too crowded it took forever to get a table. It was so stressful to be able to use the wet area and the different heat rooms and coordinate with the timing of your spa service(s). The locker number system was a great idea. Again, the business seems to focus too much on making money vs providing a nice relaxing place for clients. Out of the 4 pools, one of them was not even functioning. There were no limits or attempt to remind people to be courteous and not literally nap in the heat rooms or meditation rooms for an extended time!! People constantly had to peak into the rooms to see if there was any spot left. It was so awkward both for those using the rooms and those outside wandering in the hall waiting for their turn to use one of the rooms. Overall with the amount of money being charged, I felt like it was such a big rip off. Don't think I would come back or would recommend friends and family here unfortunately.

Yelp
I went with my daughter and her friend and we had a fabulous time! The spa was spotless, and all the saunas, steam rooms, and tubs were perfectly ready for us even though we arrived right at opening. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. The highlight, as always, was enjoying a delicious lunch--such a treat every time. An amazing, rejuvenating, and fun day!

Yelp
I've been coming here for 20 years because of their incredible scrubs and moisturizing. The providers are great, very skilled. I also like the restaurant, which has evolved over the years with more Korean food choices. The problem is there are always too many people for the pool facilities. Today I couldn't even get in the 97 pool more than once because it was full. And there are always people talking in the pools, even though there are signs everywhere saying "whisper only" or "silence" or "spa voice". Today I had to listen to a woman telling about a horrible man in her life. Not very relaxing! And with people obviously ignoring all the signs I don't feel like policing the pools. Employees come in to do maintenance, but don't say anything to the loud talkers. I have complained about this many times on leaving the spa, and the employees are always very nice, sorry you experienced that. There's only been one visit in all these years that I HAVEN'T experienced that! For $261 plus cash tip I'd like to be able to really relax before I get my scrub.

Yelp
Day pass $53 includes : locker + cubby, shower room + pools, gem rooms, lounge, reading + meditation rooms. No phones allowed anywhere except the restaurant. (Tea room = extra charge) All female, nude spa: robe, towels, and hair cap provided. Overall the place felt clean and well taken of. I never felt uncomfortable walking barefoot or laying around in my robe or naked in the pools. Restaurant is a sit down and most options are $$ ($17+). Infused waters and drinks are also quite pricey (similar prices). Ox bone soup was good. Salt is given for you to add on your own. I ended up using the whole thing ! Gem rooms aren't too hot which was great. I've done this one other time in CA. It was cheaper but the rooms were almost unbearable hot.
