The food is delicious and it's a nice atmosphere. Came here on a quiet Monday evening. Service was good and host (I think he's the owner) was friendly.
We started with a portion of Samosa Chat and an order of Daal soup ($4.95). We said "two spoons, please" with the soup, and the server on his own split the portion into separate cups for us. Each portion was a full cup. Delicious. And filling (we'll get to that later).
The Samosa Chat ($7.95) was a healthy portion and also very tasty. After knocking that off between us, my partner and I looked at each other and said "I'm getting full."
Our entrees came shortly after, one Rogan Josh (lamb - $16.95) and one Paneer Matar (paneer and peas in a tomato creamy sauce - $15.95). We also ordered one order of garlic naan ($3.95).
Everything was very good. Hot and tasty. We ordered our entrees "medium" spicy. Neither seemed very spicy, so it's likely that if you want your food spicy here that you can order it "spicy" and not worry about it being too much.
As I said, we were filling up from the appetizer/soup, so asked for the rest to take out. The server brought over boxes for the entrees, and, in one box, placed a healthy amount of rice into the box, which was a very nice touch. That way, each leftover had a full accompaniment of rice.
Honestly, I didn't get around to the Paneer Matar until two days later and it was . . . Outstanding. Even better than when it was originally served. Even the garlic naan still had full flavor and a good texture after a minute in the microwave. In a lot of cases, leftover naan does not fare well. This was still good.
The Basmati rice was a bit overcooked (a number of hard rice clumps), but that's a relatively small point in my mind.
