"This establishment is run by Chef Luís Moreira and his partner, Ana Silveira, who recently left a small village to venture into urban life in Porto — and there is no doubt they have been warmly welcomed. They both aim to share their experiences in the different cities where they have lived, including Germany (hence the name of the restaurant, meaning “grandmother” in German). The chef offers a style of cooking that blends local produce with modern techniques, imparting a personal flair. Here, a journey of flavours is guaranteed, beginning with Asia (a destination the chef hopes to explore) via one of the appetisers: a cone filled with tuna and wasabi ice cream. It then heads to Portugal, featuring Iberian pork served with figs, and concludes in the Azores, with a dessert of pineapple, pink peppercorns and passion fruit." - Michelin Inspector

We came right at opening, and it was a bit warm at first… but they’d thoughtfully placed a hand fan on the table, which was a cute touch. As the evening went on, the room cooled down and the atmosphere settled into something really pleasant. We had the tasting menu, and I went with the wine pairing. Every course was a delight. From the playful Chef’s Snacks to the beautifully balanced desserts, each dish was well-executed and full of flavor. Everything worked - the textures, the seasoning, the presentation. I enjoyed it so much that I stopped overanalyzing and just savored each bite. An experience worth repeating.

One of my top 3 tasting menu experiences so far! Service was stellar and attentive, and the dishes were packed with umami and flavour bursts that kept surprising me throughout the night. It really felt like a journey from start to finish. Totally get why this place has a Michelin Bib. I wouldn't be surprised if it got 1 star in the future. Totally worth the 80 EUR/pp. Make sure you make reservations.

We had an amazing evening! Everything was perfect! Cooking was on star-level, service was lovely and I loved the presentation of the food and the wine pairing. Ana, Luis and their team put so much love and care into this restaurant - thank you so much!

Innovative and delicious with wonderful service. Had dinner at a similarly highly rated spot the night before and my wife and I both agreed that OMA was far superior. Did the full tasting menu and wine pairing. Can’t recall exactly what the first small bites were, but they were some of my favorites of the night. Other highlights included the Seafood Rice, Iberian Pork, and the Azores Pineapple dessert, the latter of which might have stolen the show. Will lastly note that my wife is pregnant and the chef prepared a specific menu just for her, which she enjoyed just as much as I did mine. Really special.

Great food, great service and great value. The food was very good and the wine pairing fitted like a charm. We needed a last minute change in one of the courses and it was dealed incredibly.

If you are visiting Porto and budget for truly fabulous, luxurious meal, reserve a table at Oma. We were blown away by the tasting menu. The location a bit off the beaten path but worth the journey, and I enjoyed getting out of the most touristy areas. Genuinely the best, most creative meal I’ve ever had in my life. I also very much appreciate that they were able to accommodate my allergy even though I forgot to tell them about it beforehand (don’t be like me, let them know). Bravo to the back and front of house staff for a job wonderfully done, this was a highlight of our honeymoon that my husband and I will not soon forget.

We booked on The Fork for the Friday set lunch menu and were blown away by the quality, taste and value of the meal! For €16 pp, you get - water, coffee, bread, starter, main and dessert. Insane value, and I challenge you to find something equivalent in Porto if you can. We started with some warm fluffy brioche type bread which was served with whipped butter, and some herb and tomato focaccia. Both breads had us excited for what was to come, and you could really tell the quality straight away. Next was a sweet potato salad with mini croutons, rocket, olives and feta. Really nice salad with textures and flavours, saltiness of the feta went really nicely with the sweetness of the potato. Big fan! The main was the star of the show. Cannelloni with a rich and meaty filling, plenty of cheese and ricotta, it’s soft, warming and savoury and the crispy cheese top will have you wanting for more. One of the best pasta dishes I’ve tried. Finally desert was a more simple icecream with thin slices of pineapple, mascarpone and some biscuit crumble. Sweet, slightly tart and fruity. Nice way to end. The service was also amazing, our waiters explained each dish, and were very attentive and friendly. Next time we’re in Porto we’ll try and come for dinner too :)
