Fantastic food and welcoming staff. Stopped for lunch when this place opened. All the different food options were delicious to include the stew, fish and chips, lunch sandwich/salad/soup combo, and shepherds pie. Kids menu available. Outdoor seating available. Easy to find street parking.

Great place to watch futbol (soccer) matches and meet passionate friendly locals. Our bartender/server extraordinar Sean was awesome to say the least. They didn't have what I wanted to order on hand and within the hour he made sure they did and it was beyond worth the wait. The Whisky Chicken Boxty is an absolute must have and I will crave it until I get back to enjoy it again. Also notable were the Irish sausage rolls and the chicken chili rojo soup de jour on Wednesdays. They are Chelsea futbol club loyal fans but welcoming to everyone. They have a special September menu featuring Southern Creole dishes and in October will have German dishes to celebrate October fest. I loved everything about this place including its prime location seconds from the water and will be back ASAP ❤️

Google
Absolutely love this place! Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and helpful (shout out to Bailey and Abby), and the foooooood. My mouth dropped. The place was packed so I always get a little worried that slammed kitchens will struggle to put out hot, fresh food. O’Malley’s kitchen staff crushed it. I got the bangers and mash, and my mom got the corned beef and cabbage. My bangers and mash were piping hot, full of flavor, and came with delicious garlicky vegetables which I was obsessed with. My mom’s corned beef was hot, fork-tender, with no fat. Absolute perfection. Especially considering today is hectic for Irish pubs and bars, we were so pleasantly surprised! We will be back :)

Google
Bartender was kind and sweet, she made sure to always ask me for a refill on my drank right when I was about done compared to other bars they don’t even bother asking and you’re just sitting there waiting to even get an order on a drink. I ordered fries as well they were delicious and good price ! Loved the atmosphere! Cozy & lively! They also had live music right when it hit 9pm on Friday which was awesome! First time here and definitely see myself coming back! :)

It was Labor Day, our final day with our cousins. We took a stroll down Main Street and my sister was hungry! Let's go in here, she says! Perfect. We ordered like we haven't eaten in days. Chicken wings, potato skins, calamari, French dip, smoked salmon. Beers of course, for me and the hubbie. Doggo friend too :) Quick and polite service. Screens airing the Dodgers game. Good seating on the hightops. Good times with good company. We couldn't ask for more!

Google
Visited from out of state and absolutely loved the food and drinks. We had pretzel bites with beer cheese and mustard, and Rueben sandwiches with onion rings. We were taken away with the flavors. Our favorite meal of the trip. Service was excellent and atmosphere was fun and relaxed. We will definitely come back!

Google
A neighborhood Irish pub, not the big chains downtown. I tried their fish‑and‑chips special, and the batter was light and crisp. The bartender knew my name after a couple visits. There's a live‑acoustic music night every Thursday. Felt like a comfortable locals’ hangout more than a tourist trap.

Google
Everything was great! We got the corned beef and cabbage, fish & chips, and the cottage pie. All were delicious! The server was friendly too and helped us with recommendations too.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and it's pretty consistent with drinks, food and all around great pub feel! Was raining today so wanted to come in for breakfast and sit by fireplace. Service was good and overall cost was not too bad! Tables were sticky and obviously could've used a good wipe down but other than the hat, I do enjoy coming here.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place did not pass the vibes check. I say unfortunately because I suppose the locals really like it and it was recommended to me by a good friend. My friend and I came in on a Saturday night and it was pretty much dead. They had good music playing though, so we agreed to get a drink. The service and bartender were originally ok until something happened. Apparently, there's a regular customer who hangs out there and openly acts as a dick to everybody, including patrons. I dont even remember how the conversation even started or what was being talked about, but this idiot told me "Shut up, you're a woman, you're not supposed to talk". It took me a few minutes to realize that came out of an actual person's mouth and, honestly in my head I kept on asking myself wtf happened? He then proceeded to say that it was 'comedy' when my friend looked at him straight up and asked wtf. I guess he thought it was a joke, although nobody was laughing. Anyway, my friend and I left shortly after. I was pretty dead set to never come back to this place. Unfortunately, some friends decided to join us as we were deciding where to go next, and wanted to get a drink there. I originally was gonna wait in the car, but apparently dickwad had left, so I ended up joining them. That's how I found out that this guy apparently hangs out at the bar and customarily harasses people with his 'humor'. When I asked the lady bartender about it and told her what he did, she simply shrugged it as 'that's how he is'. However, when she said he was nice but has a raw sense of humor, that's when I stopped her and said 'He's not nice!', to which she cut me off and said, 'I'm not here to debate with you'. Woman to woman, that was an even lower blow than what he did. If another sister had told me that a guy told her to shut up because 'she's a woman', I would have been furious and reassured her she'd tell him to fk off next time she sees him. But... this lady bartender did not. Maybe he became a friend to her by means of daily patronage. Maybe...more (let's leave it at that). Anyway, I thought in 2025 I'd never have to hear anyone ever utter such words as what dickwad spoke to me, but I was wrong. However, what was more egregious was that another woman would not only not be absolutely disgusted by that move, but she even proceeded to defend him, by saying he's 'nice' and cutting the conversation short. If I owned that place, I'd see this guy as a liability. He was actually fairly lucky none of my male friends (real men, not dickwads) were there when he dared what he dared, because he'd have left with a few of his teeth in the back pocket of his jeans. Oh yeah, btw O' Malley has beer and whiskey as well, just like all the other bars in the strip, and the rest of the world. Maybe the others don't have misogynistic patrons hanging out on the regular, so...I mean, pick based on your drinking preferences.

Yelp
We have been to O' Malley's on Main before. Located on in Main Street in Seal Beach ) the quaint street of local shops and restaurants across the street from the pier), this place is pretty popular. Each time we've come it has been packed. This is an Irish pub complete with beamed ceiling, wood arches and a fireplace. There's are banquettes upholstered in the perfect fabric and banners advertising beers strung from the ceiling. Parts are a little worse for wear, but that hasn't affected it's charm. There is a bit of a surprise that you can't see when you walk in--a charming patio complete with a fireplace and wishing well covered with vines. Unfortunately, they weren't seating on the patio. Our server was very sweet and attentive even though she was clearly very busy. The menu is what you'd expect in an Irish pub, traditional Irish food--shepherds pie, boxty, fish and chips, and corned beef and cabbage. Of course there are wings and burgers, too Between the four of us, we had the salmon boxty, fish and chips, shepherds pie, and a burger. Everything was good, although the burger came out cold. Like always, there was no room for dessert.

Yelp
Good brunch....bloody Mary's were very good... the Irish eggs Benedict wee outstanding with the corned beef hash...the spinach florentine Benedict was also delicious...a ton of food...potatoes were above average, nothing to be excited about...service was good, waitress came around several times to make sure all was well...ambiance is an Irish pub, nothing special here, have been to many better as far as decor goes but. The food is definitely worthwhile...

Yelp
Wonderful fish and corn beef tacos. Huge portions and very filling even if you just order a couple. Their Irish coffee is also great. Very strong so definitely worth it. The place is very nostalgic. Seat yourself when not busy and lots of bar stools and tables as well as tv monitors to watch the game. Very open and welcoming ambiance. The team members are nice and helpful. Friendly and attentive too. I definitely recommend when in the area.

Yelp
I had Irish Stew and my husband had fish and chips. It was delicious! Friendly service,it was a little slow because it was the weekend so to be expected! It was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel (Galway Bay).Highly recommend!

Yelp
I spent a Friday evening walking around Seal Beach with my in-laws. After our walk, my mother-in-law suggested we stop by O'Malley's for dinner. She loves ordering the fish and chips, but always substitutes the regular fries for sweet potato fries. I opted for the corned beef and cabbage, which came with a creamy white gravy that complemented both the cabbage and meat perfectly. The service was excellent -- our waitress checked on us several times and kept our waters refilled. The ambiance was typical of an Irish pub. It's one of my mother-in-law's favorite spots to visit after her walks in Seal Beach.

Yelp
We had a great weeknight dinner here. The fish and chips come with a big slab of fish, not little fish sticks. Just like when I visited Ireland! The beef stew is very tasty, I wish it was lamb instead of beef, but that's not a deal breaker. Friendly service and accommodating for kids. Lots of free street parking at night. A little harder to find parking in the day due to beach goers.

Yelp
9/19/25 LITERALLY THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH DANIELLE THE SERVER I took a friend here tonight. He is from Ireland. He drove and hour and a half and I drove a half hour from Capistrano beach to meet me here and experience an Irish bar and I choose this one for us to meet. He got us beers from the bar and a table. By the time I got there I was starving and waited for a menu. Danielle our server or lack thereof, never greeted us. Never brought us a menu or checked on us. Not once did she ask if we needed anything she would not even look at us, and she had to purposefully do so cause we were literally in her section. So finally I got us trying to be proactive and ask for a menu. When I tell you the energy from the girl, her face. Her whole demeanor. You would have thought I insulted her mother. I tried not to take it personal and yet it was feeling pretty personal. Finally after the 8th time she came around, no joke I was counting at this point, without even asking if we needed anything {and there is no way she didn't know I wanted food I literally asked her for the menu} I just told my friend {who sat there with an empty drink the whole time cause again, we never got service for some strange reason} let's go. The mood was ruined and I was so embarrassed. He asked why I chose this place. I said I don't know I thought it would be good, BOY WAS I WRONG. On top of that as we sat there desperately trying to get Danielle to help us, which never happened, I watch a table who was getting service from her call her back. The burger she brought them was so bloody and uncooked in the middle, I watched the lady handed it back and felt so disgusted. That was the nail in the coffin. Some of the worst, rudest customer service I've ever experienced from a server and to only get food that will give me major food poisoning. Again I brought someone here from Ireland trying to impress him and left mortified, angry, and hungry. I WOULD NEVER COME HERE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. Nice looking Irish bar right across the street. We were already over it by then so we didn't even try but next time. Never this place. That place or anything else but never this place again.

Yelp
The fish and chips are so good. I love the Legendary Mimosas. Bailey is the best she is so funny. I recommend this place. Great location.
google avatar

Leia W.

Yelp
Our server was awesome and friendly. I had the tater tots and tomato bisque. Both were delicious and flavorful. The beer was cold. The ambiance was very much like being in a pub in Ireland. I felt at home!
google avatar

Cassidy C.

Yelp
Came here for Veterns day '24 and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and filling our meals were. I got the ABC burger and my boyfriend got the haddock and chips(which were super meaty and flaky), with an appetizer potato skins. Everything was amazing and was just right. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. Thank you for having us!

Yelp
GREAT VIBE ON TRIVIA NIGHT! FOOD & PRICES The food was good! The prices are pretty fair! :) SERVICE Straight forward and quick! They're hustling and happy :) THE VIBE (TRIVIA WAS LONG) Trivia was fun! Lots of tables involved! Def good for a night out with friends! BUT IT TAKES 2.5 HOURS! So yeah, beware. You can always just leave. We won't be staying longer than 60-90 minutes next time.

Debra L.

Yelp
Went there for lunch. They open at 12 noon. Which is actually a bit late to OPEN. No one in the place, we seated ourselves to a booth/table. This place was a ghost town. Now we know why. Music was playing...way too loud for a lunch. Food was fine. Beer a bit flat...REALLY? This used to be our go to for Seal Beach. Not anymore...Open up earlier...turn the music down, and check your draft beers.
google avatar

Neal T.

Yelp
Great service right at 11am soccer on all the TVs, all day Irish breakfast and Harp and Guinness on tap what more can you ask for in an Irish pub. An outdoor fireplace and indoor as well. Beautiful wood and classic pub feel to it all.
google avatar

Anders Christofer C.

Yelp
Nice Irish pub in the heart of seal beach. We went in to just order a few drinks and hang out. The staff was very friendly and the service was very good. I didn't try the food this time but I saw a lot of the food that was served and it looked very delicious. I will definitely come back and update this review as soon as I have tried the food.
google avatar

Stanley R.

Yelp
We had lunch here Wednesday at 12:00. That is prime time right? My buddy insisted that he needed corn beef, in honor of St. Paddy's day. It is a big open room with plenty of tables and stools at the bar. I have eaten here a handful of times over the years. I have never liked it much. The food is always rather disappointing, the service is always; meh. The ambiance is pretty much "smelly old bar". This place is so consistent!
google avatar

Mimi A.

Yelp
It was our first time at O'Malleys and our first time trying Irish style breakfast. It came with eggs, baked beans, rasher bacon, pork pudding, sausages, tomato slices, and your choice of bread (we chose English muffins). The food was delicious. I was glad the waitress didn't say what goes into pork pudding because I probably would not have ordered it, and just stuck to my regular French Toast, but I'd say the light one tasted more like Thanksgiving stuffing. The darker one tasted like it had cloves in it. It was described to me as pork pudding starts off like a pudding and then we deepfry it into sausage patties. I was sold. And thankful afterward. The ambiance is that of a typical Irish pub. The waitress was kind and the food was superb. I couldn't eat it all because I was so full. Very full of proteins. It even had a fireplace to make it cozy. I'd eat here again if I were to go back to Seal Beach

Yelp
Stopped by today after a short walk on Main Street. Ordered the Fire Alarm burger with sweet potato fries. Burger was cooked perfectly. Fresh ingridients and flavorful. The jalapeño was HOT but good! Sweet potato fries were crips and seasoned well. Service was also good. Waitress took good care of us. Will definitely return.

Yelp
We arrived on the day they were having Direct TV issues and tried to watch colege football. We sat at the bar and had a couple mimosas and bloody marys, which were god. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and split that and it was tasty. Great service for an Irish dive bar. Super friendly bartender, good food and drinks and right down the street from my grandma's house makes this a perfect spot for a quick bite or drink, and plenty of tvs to watch football on the wknds!
google avatar

Dari P.

Yelp
This is a good choice when you're walking around on Main Street. There was no wait. You pick any available table. We sat in a booth by the front window and could watch people walk by. The waitress took our order and memorized everything. We had cheeseburgers and shared the fries and onion rings. We had a great time.
google avatar

Rick D.

Yelp
Decent spot to get some food and a drink. Staff are friendly and the service is great!

Kimya A.

Yelp
Awesome experience! Watched the Chelsea game, great atmosphere, delicious food. Friendly staff :))
google avatar

Leslie O.

Yelp
Been here twice now so I can't talk about consistency necessarily, but both times my food was great! This time I had "Bangers and Mash" and it was fabulous, and plenty of it. The portions were large and I left feeling full. Great vibe, excellent location on Main in Seal Beach. Go there! And then go get ice cream down the street!
google avatar

Johnny R.

Yelp
Dined with my wife and 8yo. Walked in and had a very nice guest offer us a table since it was seat yourself. My wife and I had a Make America Great Again hat on. After our drinks took 40 mins and food was dropped off with little contact, I realized it was run by partisan assholes and inclusion is not a part of this restaurant. I still tipped the waiter over 20% yet wrote MAGA on it. If politics isn't your business, you should keep politics out of your business.

D R.

Yelp
The service was great! The food was great too. I appreciated the quality of the food. Nothing better than a home cooked meal. The week day Lunch specials are unbeatable. Comfort food with a twist. I was able to enjoy some home cooked Irish food and get my greens in without breaking the bank. Huge score if you are looking for quality, authenticity, and not willing to break the bank. The ambience is wonderful. From the wood work, the fire place, and quant furnishings, there is always something to take in.
google avatar

Simon K.

Yelp
Decent Irish food. The fish and chips was nice and big. It was good but didn't wow me. The tarter sauce was too sweet. The Whiskey Chicken Boxty was amazing. What a pleasant surprise! It's a savory crepe filled with chicken and vegetables in an awesome home made bechamel cream sauce. I like that they have Echo Bay Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region. And of course the old standby Blue Moon. Next time I'll have to try their desserts.
google avatar

Devianna C.

Yelp
Amber was great. She made great old fashions and her service was quick. Restrooms were clean and neat. The Place is rather large inside they had plenty of tables and chairs. The bar is long and they had multiple staff helping out. Food was so good. I didn't want to share. I ordered the Buffalo wings and they were honestly some of the best wings I've had. They were perfect, not fatty at all, not over drowned in sauce, meat was perfect. I would totally come back for these wings.
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
If the would learn how to make Martinis is would be good. The food good, I couldn't drink it. The bartender had the nerve to tell me there was no Vermouth in a dry, dirty Martini!????

Mike K.

Yelp
God service and good food. A group was watching the Chelsea-LA soccer (football) game, adding to the ambiance. Too bad they were Chelsea fans. Still I enjoyed the visit more than any other British/Irish pub visit in the US in recent memory. Pretty authentic, although we actually had table service. Recommended for pub fans.

Al P.

Yelp
Back in the day, this place used to be great. It has really gone downhill though. Food is not good and the whole place is worn out. Booths, tables and floors need work. Sad to see it's declined.
google avatar

Jerry P.

Yelp
The food was incredible. The service was slow for being a slow night. The ambiance was similar to an Irish pub.
google avatar

RoseEllen S.

Yelp
Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen decided to try O'Malley's again on St. Patrick's Day. Our experience was not as happy as we had hoped. The drinks and food were delicious. It had to do with treatment from a server. The manager came out, and was super pleasant. In fact, there was no problem at all! We were a simple group of two, and very kind to our server- as we all understand the strain on our hospitality on this day (in an Irish pub). Sadly, the surrounding tables (2) were commenting about our obviously displeased server as well. Perhaps a bad morning? Nevertheless, we chose to spend our time and money elsewhere. Truly hope your experience is better. A lovely place inside. Very Irish! The end.
google avatar

Carolina R.

Yelp
One of our Seal Beach go-tos. We love pretty much all that they serve here. We tried the Seal Beach Sunrise today. You have to like grapefruit juice, in my opinion. The hubby thought the same.

Robin M.

Yelp
the leek potatoes soup is amazing I order it every time I visit my mom in seal beach

Ericka P.

Yelp
Bad service. Was inside. Waitress are rude. Don't go there. There are many friendly Bars on Maine st
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
I'm a regular here for several years. Not the greatest experience. We had to bus and wipe down our own table. Had to go the bar to get help. Only checked on us when I got up and waved feverishly at her. Would have like to had more drinks but we were ignored. Still waiting now to wave someone else down for our check. Not sure how new she is but she has work to do to improve. Of course we will be back. This place is great. Anna just needs to get on the service side of things.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Brunch at O'Malley's was fantastic. I had the Corned Beef Hash, which was delicious, serving size was huge. My wife had the Irish Benedict, and she absolutely enjoyed it. Their Irish Coffee was also great tasting, but a bit on the small side for the price. service was excellent, we got there when they opened, at that time, there was lots of parking.
google avatar

Ernesto S.

Yelp
Never had Corned Beef Tacos but it's probably my new favorite taco to get when on Main Street in Seal Beach! Taco did not disappoint. Had 2 of them and was nice and stuffed. Fully loaded with fresh corned beef and perfectly seasoned. Wish I would have taken a picture just so you all could see these awesome tacos Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Val G.

Yelp
Came by O'Mally's to cool down and have lunch and a few drinks. Lots of options up and down Main street but O'Malley's was a great choice. There was live music and the place was very lively and LOUD. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not the place for you. Our waitress immediately came in and clean a table and sat us down. The son and I ordered a beer: Guiness and Red Castle and the wife had a glass of wine. We also ordered lunch which included my Rueben, my wife's fish and chips and son had the shepards pie. Everything we ordered was delicious. I really liked the fact that I upgraded to sweet potato fries. I was only able to eat half of my Rueben but I did taste my wife's fish since we typically don't want to take fish home for leftovers. We really had a great time enjoying our food, drinks and music. If I had one complaint, it would be that there was a lot of "water" on the bathroom floor. I did not take advantage of my Check In special for 50% an appetizer but I certainly plan to come back.
google avatar

Shari Y.

Yelp
My review is based on three visits. I give this place five stars. It's a fun property - the ambiance was great, the staff is friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are spot on. I did observe some troubling behavior though. It was not from the staff, rather directed towards the staff. Kudos to them for keeping it real as entitled snarky customers got pissy. It's never o.k. to be mean and disrespectful towards anyone. Among the crappy customer behavior I observed was a gentleman (I am being kind with this term) loose his because he wanted a chilled glass. Ugh! C'mon people, this is a fun place. Leave your struggles at the door and let's practice a little kindness.

Debbie A.

Yelp
Great Seal Beach locale with ver good food, drinks, live music, cool patio and especially service in cozy setting.

Kim L.

Yelp
Love this place & always try to go @ least around St. Patrick's. Stopped by yesterday, sat by the cozy fire enjoying a Guinness & great yummy fish & chips for a pre-St. Patty's day celebration. Everything was perfect! Erin go Bragh!
google avatar

Jordyn D.

Yelp
Nice restaurant, great appetizers! The Reuben was delicious as were the fried Mac and cheese bites. Great, prompt service!
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Mimosas and Bloody Mary's were good. Price is just right. I had the Irish breakfast and hit the spot. My friends had the burger and the Ruben and it was big enough to share. Service was good and it had the Irish Pub ambiance.
google avatar

Sal H.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years, but I was very pleased to find the food and drinks are still in good order. Even though they were short staffed, the service was fast and the location was clean. My wife and I enjoyed a date night and recanting our first date at this location. Thank you for maintaining years of consistent quality.
google avatar

Laurie-David S.

Yelp
My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years. Our favorite options have been the Guinness burger and the spicy chicken wings. We were delighted to return to O'Malley's and eat our favorite food since our last visit in 2022, but we discovered that the sauce on the chicken wings had changed. The sauce was not as delicious as it was a few years ago, and the wings were slightly dry. The Guinness burger was still excellent. The service was excellent, and the ambiance on the outdoor terrace was pleasant.
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
Been coming here for many years but the last few visits were disappointing. The whole place needs a deep steam clean. The tables are super sticky, fireplace screen is crumbling, every wall surface is covered in dust, most every glass surface is smeared with crud, carpet worn and filthy, women's bathroom floor is flooded, filthy, worn. The front section seating area is closed due to broken flooring. The tables and counters are way beyond a 'worn patina'... they badly need to be refinished. It's all a real shame because the lovely 'Irish Pub' wood work and charm here is now buried in muck and neglect. But even worse: my burger was medium rare as I requested, but so dry and tough: I have to believe it was defrosted and cooked in the micro. If you want a reasonably clean environment serving up a nice hot, juicy burger with a delicious exterior char, I think you will need to go elsewhere for now. Hennessy's across the street is a good alternative.

Yelp
Dwayne was so nice Great service Great hive Great people!! Great drinks Met some cool locals here
