What Restaurants Need for Reopening After Coronavirus Lockdown | Eater London

"Management urges prioritising restaurant staff on the vaccination ladder so teams can return reliably and rebuild momentum after long periods of flexi-furlough; staff have been working through the pandemic in reduced numbers and leadership wants to fully reinvest in the business and start a new chapter once vaccination and stability allow." - Adam Coghlan

Coronavirus Lockdown Reopening in England: Restaurants and Pubs Discuss | Eater London

"The business ran a large‑scale nationwide Valentine’s box operation—about 100 boxes with only two failures—revealing how demanding logistics and fragile packaging have become; staff experienced new stress around packing and fulfilment, treating packaging as an essential, unfamiliar part of the job." - Adam Coghlan

I had an exceptional experience at this coffee shop! The vanilla latte with quad shots was a delight for my taste buds. The service was exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The place exudes a cozy, local charm – a perfect spot to enjoy great coffee and soak in a delightful ambiance. Highly recommend for both the coffee connoisseur and those seeking a comfortable place to unwind.

Google
We decided on a local coffee place because we support local. I chose this place based on Google reviews and I'm so glad because their food was not only phenomenal, their custom service was spot on! We ordered the 3 egg omelette, with cheddar cheese and feta, hash browns and a side of sausage. The sausage was homemade and was delicious! My boyfriend and I split the meal and they had the kitchen split it for us which was already so nice, but our server told us they pride themselves on presentation of food and had actually given us extra food even though we ordered the one meal. Their coffee was also so good, and we were told they make their own coffee beans! I highly recommend this place!!

Staff is overstretched so service is slow but very nice. Nice coffee!

Google
Great local coffee shop. Wonderful breakfast. The traditional with a few twists.

Google
Got a 16 oz. Iced Chai Latte ($5.50) and it was delicious! My husband got Iced Cold Brew ($3.99) and he thought it was fine! Service was super fast!

Google
Great music, warm atmosphere, and amazing coffee – perfect hangout with friends.

Google
Lovely service and good coffee. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Great place to sit and wait for the barrio bread line to thin.

Google
Friendly staff and fantastic coffee. Prices are good as well.

Yelp
Good coffee, nice seating with free pac man! Usually get the flat white, which is made very well.

Yelp
This establishment is conveniently located adjacent to Barrio Bread and appears to be affiliated with Bisbee Breakfast Restaurant. My curiosity was piqued by the consistent customer traffic observed while I was queuing at the bakery. The service was prompt, and the coffee was of good quality, though somewhat expensive.

Yelp
Cool spot for locally roasted coffee. I need to check this place when I have a chance to sit in shop to drink a cup of coffee. The service was fast and friendly. The coffee available today was a medium roast. The shopping center is quaint and Barrio Bread is a few doors down. Another great spot to grab some coffee.

Yelp
I waited at the counter for 10 minutes no one came over. I asked front they said someone would be right over. Waited some more nothing so I left.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in to grab some coffee beans. We love the coffee and they make a great local gift to give to friends and family. Appreciate the ample parking and seating. They have a wide variety of roast from light to dark and even decaf. I was able to pick my coffees, get them ground and head out the door in only a few minutes. A great locally owned coffee spot in town.

Yelp
Ordered an ice tea. Over $5.00 for the smallest plastic cup possible and so much ice that there was literally 4 sips of tea. The coffee here always tastes burnt and flat. Negative star

Yelp
Liam the barista here is one of the best baristas on this side of the Rio! Look at that picture! It says it all, only the best and most caring souls would do somthing like that! My lady ordered the Cafe Au Lait and it was so authentically delicious to how they make it in France that she now is hooked on the idea of vacationing there. Guess we're going to Europe! Nous aimons le café Ombré et nous vivons Liam!!!

Yelp
Great coffee stop with high quality espresso and friendly, knowledgeable and skilled baristas behind the counter. Nice ambiance, with a cozy environment. Adjoins with Bisbee Breakfast Club - so a great place to get a quality cup of joe before ordering some classic breakfast fare.

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim to meet a pal for coffee. There is an entrance right next to Barrio Bread (such love for THAT place!) but it was locked (although my companion apparently entered through that way moments before I arrived). So in through Bisbee Breakfast Club I go... Arrived at Ombre in the back and ordered a coffee, friend ordered a tea. We were served. We drank. We left. It could have been a McDonalds for the degree of personality or interaction offered. The coffee was good. I will probably try again and assume this was a fluke, but it felt very much like the staff couldn't be bothered.
google avatar

Wade A.

Yelp
This is connected to Bisbee Breakfast club and is not a stand alone coffee shop. When the restaurant gets busy then the coffee shop area gets filled with customers of the restaurant and then what is usually quick service to get a coffee becomes a 30 minute or more wait. I would not recommend going here for coffee when the restaurant is busy which is mostly on Saturdays and Sundays. If you want to have a coffee with quick service in a relaxing atmosphere I'd recommend either Raging Sage on Campbell, Crave Coffee or make the trip to the east side and go to Coffee xchange at Tanque Verde / Kolb rd area. That's my favorite place for coffee. I give this place an average review because it does not stand out like other coffee shops, it is more of an extension of the restaurant.

Yelp
Whew goodness. First I'll say, lattes, cappuccinos, all seem pretty run of the mill. There are better options in town but they'll get the job done. But really I wanna talk about their drip. This isn't a diss, it's just a warning. This coffee runs through you like sprinters at the Olympics. Like kids down the stairs on Christmas. Runs through you like red rover. Maybe some extra punch (it's probably just acidity, if we're being "science-y") is exactly what you need in the morning. In fact if it is, I just found you your new coffee shop. But just be careful if you have a long drive after your coffee break. The bathrooms in this establishment are spacious and well-maintained, I'd urge you to get acquainted with them before taking any risky drives.
google avatar

Rich W.

Yelp
Stopped in to try their coffee. Have to go through the Bisbee's Breakfast Club to get to it. Which was odd... But no biggie. Ordered their nitro brew with a hint of simple syrup. Very good. Quality bean. Friendly woman running it. I would definitely come back. Quality stuff.

Yelp
A coffee shop is just what the Broadway Village needed. Ombré is located just a couple doors down from Barrio bread. Not only is it locally owned, but they also roast their own beans. Ample seating at the bar in addition to large tables make it a great spot to work or study. The space has a great vibe and friendly baristas. I enjoy their black coffee and cold brew on hot days. Ombré is connected to the Bisbee Breakfast Club si if you get hungry you can walk across the shop and you're at BBC!

Yelp
Looking forward to new (to me) coffee house. Something local. Stood at counter for near 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging me (yet I know 2 different employee saw me). So I left. Too bad but great when a business is thriving so much they can lose customers.
google avatar

Klindt M.

Yelp
The coffee is good but the service is truly exceptional. All the folks working there are very friendly and accommodating. Even with the masks on, you can tell that they're doing their job with a smile on their faces! Con: the coffee is a little pricey. Pro: the menu is reasonable and they offer dairy alternatives. So it's not too confusing if you've never been there before. If you do like their coffee, they also have their own brand of bagged coffee that you can enjoy at home. There's also a selection of kettles and teas on sale. At the moment, the only entrance is through the Bisbee Breakfast Club on Broadway. They're located at the back of the restaurant. You can just let the host know you're going to Ombre and they'll let you right in. There's a lot of road work going on along Broadway but fear not! Access to the business and the parking lot is easy! A little patience is required sometimes but it's definitely worth it!

Yelp
Great service and delicious coffee, my boyfriend and I drive around Tucson trying to find different coffee places and this has been our favorite!!! My latte looked pretty and tasted amazing. My boyfriend got an iced cinnamon macchiato and he also loved it. Prices are average you get what you pay for.
google avatar

Yelp
Great hipster coffee house. We stopped by to grab some Latte's before Barrio Bread opened. I would love to go back there and try some more of their beverages. There's not a lot of seating but it really doesn't take that long to drink some coffee. The prices are on/par with other coffee houses but the decor, lighting, seating really feels upscale and retro. Nice place, highly recommend. Especially if you want something other than the big coffee chains.

Yelp
Ombre is a super cute coffee shop with an attached cafe. It is positioned a couple stores down from Barrio Bread, which we had made a stop in at. We decided to stop into Ombre to decided where we were to head next in Tucson. Immediately when walking in, I was drawn to the art work along the wall - it was a series of gem and mineral drawings, and it intrigued me. Hopefully a local artist, we made sure to check out all of their work before we left. They were selling the art, as well as stickers and bags with the stone art on them. Pretty cool. My sister grabbed herself a chai latte, and the other two in our party went with water. She really enjoyed the latte, as did her husband. It's a small little cafe area, but it seems like a nice place to work, especially on an early Friday morning.

Yelp
Perfect place for serious coffee lovers. Comfortable setting w/a warm & friendly vibe
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Great place to study and relax. However, my coffee was burnt. Right next to Barrio Bread! Has limited seating unless you're going to sit at Bisbee Breakfast place which is attached. Up side there's pac man machine that kept us entertained.

Yelp
I love coffee houses, almost as much as I love coffee. And I love coffee almost as much as I love food. We discovered Ombre recently. It was first a place to park my husband while I stood in line at Barrio Bread (refer to "love food" comment). But as I first entered Ombre clutching my precious, precious bread, I was struck by the layout (it directly joins Bisbee Breakfast Club), the lighting (bright and airy), and the amazing coffee smell. As soon as I had my first Cortado, I was hooked. The barrista not only pulled a good espresso, but knew exactly how to froth, the milk and pour off the froth to the silky section of milk for a perfect Cortado. I still tear up when I think of it.

Yelp
Conveniently located right next to Barrio Bread and sharing a building with Bisbee Breakfast Club, this cute little coffee shop is a perfect stop after the dog park, when I'm getting my bread on Saturday. There is often a line at Barrio Bread, so you can enjoy while you wait in line. I ordered a latte, very creamy and full-flavored, good service. The inside is cute, it has it's own entrance even though it does share with Bisbee Breakfast Club, and small tables along the windows. Nice!
google avatar

Jacqui B.

Yelp
My neighborhood coffee shop. Looove it here. Great coffee. Morning buns are just a clever scheme by Big Sugar to deliver huge amounts of processed sugar to your digestive system but everything else is very civilized. I'm a little fragrance sensitive, so my only complaint is that the bathrooms are overly perfumy. Maybe some nice cinnamon potpourri SUMMER UPDATE: it's really effing cold in here. Summer comfort rating*: 3/5 *i just made this up. It's very scientific
google avatar

Jeneva B.

Yelp
I can't believe people wait in a crazy line down the street for Starbucks this place is so much better. If you want a frappe go to Starbucks, if you want a great cup of coffee check this place out! They have wifi and are open until 7 p.m.
google avatar

Jenna K.

Yelp
Snagged a few fresh, hot-out-of-the-oven loaves at Barrio Bread and popped into Ombre for an Americano. Smooth, strong, brainwave- stimulating brew!!!
google avatar

Nesha P.

Yelp
This place is awesome! The coffee shop is a bit hidden but I checked it out because I've seen it and wanted to try it. The interior is awesome!! It's very comfortable, bright, and super clean! I got the chai from here which was delicious and they added a little frothy milk on top which I've never had before - it was definitely good. I'd recommend trying this place out.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
I ordered a chai latte from here and must say it was quiet tasty! The negative on this coffee house is their speed. I dont know if it was because I was present on a Saturday, but they may need to consider looking into why it takes so long (8+ mins) to go from taking an order to drink in the customers hand.
google avatar

Ekta P.

Yelp
I noticed this new little shop when I went to Sidecar recently so I made a mental note to give it a try. I got a cold brew which was exactly what I needed when I went that day. I was sad to see that no one else was in the shop (on the side that's not the Bisbee Breakfast Club) around 8am on a Friday morning. Hopefully that was just a one time thing. A coffee shop is actually what the little plaza needed. My friend got caramel in her cold brew and I'm fairly certain it was made in house since they went back to the kitchen to get it. The baristas were super friendly and the decor is really cute. I love the tiffany blue colored coffee machine. They have some tables to sit and chat or get some work done, so I'm hoping to give that a try some time soon.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. The parking lot is kinda across the street where Sushi Garden is, so theres not really parking lot for Ombre Coffee. When I first walked in, it was quiet. It was very comforting little shop. I ordered a tea because I'm not much of a coffee person. The barista took my order and told me if I need more hot water to just let him know. I was there for a couple of hours and it never got really busy. But it seems as though the customers that did come in were regulars. I would highly recommend if you need a quiet place to study or work. It's definitely perfect for a college student.

Leslie P.

Yelp
It's amazing! The menu options are fantastic and in my opinion, it's nice place to go other than Starbucks, even better if you like your coffee to be a specific mix without the staff giving you an annoyed look. Very cheap and no, their coffee still taste great with a. Great price. Their latte looks wonderful and I am thankful for the person who placed my coffee ever so gently on my table for the art to not be ruined. Their coffee cakes are a hit! It's very good and I believe it was around $3-4 per slice. Good place to hang out with your friends if you want to take many insta photos and place to have study sessions if you're a student like me. (Fast WiFi btw)

Yelp
Just got a Coldbrew, but I'll be back for aaN espresso drink soon. Staff was friendly and the Coldbrew was perfectly on point. Nice chocolate flavor with a bit of roasty-ness. Not too dark and def not too light.

Yelp
I have been coming here all week I've been in town. I was going to rate it 5 stars. It's good coffee, and great cheese danishes, and I was looking forward to both. But today, I was so put off I left before ordering. Here's why: I walked in. There was a small family waiting for their drinks as they were being made. I walked up to the counter and waited to order. The barista didn't even glance up. Then a guy came in about 1 minute later and sat at the bar. The barista looked at him and said, "Chai?" The guy said yes. Then the guy said, "I'd also like a cheese danish." And to my horror, the barista pulled the last one out and gave it to him along with his chai! That was it. Here I had been patiently waiting to get service, and was willing to overlook the good ol boy bullshenanigans with the dude who came in after me, but the last danish was the last straw. I left and will NOT return tomorrow or next time I'm in town. C'est la vie.

Yelp
Pretty disappointing that they're only open til five, I would love to stay and do homework here pretty late, unfortunately I'll never be able to go. Pretty good coffee though
google avatar

Jimmy D.

Yelp
Fun coffee place. The atmosphere was laid back and casual. Tape deck playing music was an old school touch. The coffee was delicious and the people were very nice and helpful.

Mariah N.

Yelp
Cool coffee shop with unique baked goods. Definitely tastier baked goods than cartel. Can't speak to the coffee but I loved my freshly brewed apricot black iced tea. Good WiFi, lots of outlets and great lighting. Gripes: open floor plan with Bisbee breakfast club and a shared bathroom lends itself to lots of foot traffic and more noise than I prefer. There's also a Pac-Man machine in the back where most of the seating is and it got really distracting :( I would go back only when Bisbee is closed.

Elissa M.

Yelp
Great strong brewed coffee. Had oatmeal milk which was delicious. I got a large but looked like a small and paid the same amount I would pay for a venti Starbucks.
google avatar

Cy C.

Yelp
Nice and cozy place. Was able to enjoy great service and strong coffee to keep my conversation alive and filled with entertainment.
google avatar

Matthew C T.

Yelp
This place was a little weird. The coffee shop screamed 3rd wave but the coffee was roasted very dark. The service was super good and the ascetics of the shop was nice. I just think they need to change up the roast a little and they would be a home run.
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Very good coffee house located in the back of the Bisbee Breakfast Club on Broadway one block west of Country Club. I find their coffees are above average and so are their teas. They have a smaller selection of baked goods which are all well above average and the level of comfort is also very good.
google avatar

Tommy S.

Yelp
I've just moved to Tucson recently and needed a olace with good coffee. This place has the best cold brew out of all 6 coffee shops that I have visited around town. Staffs are really awesome. Not as many people come here unfortunately which is great for me since I have more space to myself. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Christelle F.

Yelp
This coffee shop has a very cool vibe to it. The place has comfortable chairs and big windows that allows plenty of light in. I've been here a couple of times and it's always a pleasant experience. I've tried their cold brew, mocha, and jasmine green tea. All tasted very good and will definitely give you the caffeine that you need to get work done! Great staff and amazing drinks, highly recommend that you check it out!

Marge21 R.

Yelp
Cute cafe, serving locally roasted coffee which I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely worth checking out if you're into coffee.

Yelp
Very comfortable and stylish little coffee shop. The coffee is good as are the pastries and I find it a very easy place to get work done.
google avatar

Yelp
Quick service and very friendly staff. Coffee shop has a great atmosphere, will be coming back.

Yelp
Butterscotch latte. Even with a butterscotch flavor add in and breve style the coffee still stands out and isn't watered down. Very happy to have found this place
google avatar

Yelp
Hey your coffee is amazing. The one star missing is because the coffee at the Sunrise location isn't good. Something is wrong there. And you guys don't do pour-overs. I saw a Chemex there and v60 but I asked and the barista and he said no. If you are afraid of the temperatures, just be consistent and change as needed. We will still buy it.
