14 Best Chinese Restaurants to Try Around Atlanta

"The dim sum items at this Duluth food court stall are some of the best in the city. Unlike traditional push-cart dim sum restaurants, Best BBQ is counter service where you can order everything freshly steamed or fried, from shrimp and pork shumai and har gow (shrimp dumplings) to sticky rice in lotus leaves, chicken feet, and turnip cakes. As the name suggests, they also offer traditional Chinese barbecue and Cantonese entrees. Weekend lunch gets extremely busy so be prepared for a wait. They also have a spot on Buford Highway attached to the City Farmers Market with the same menu." - Michael Tran, Eater Staff

Where to eat and drink in Duluth’s Lincoln Park - Eater Twin Cities

"OMC Smokehouse overflows with visitors so often that the courtyard acts as a glorified holding pen, with families and hungry visitors milling about outside with hour-plus wait times. Although there are marshmallows available for toasting s’mores during the wait, pros know it’s best to order take-out or delivery to area breweries. Not only do they run the incredible barbecue selection over the Bent Paddle, but a local service called the Food Dudes will haul succulent pork, beef, and chicken all over the city for a nominal fee. In addition to slow smoked meats, OMC Smokehouse has a few other utterly craveable dishes like a brow-sweat inducing hot fried chicken." - Joy Summers

Just had the BEST Q outside of Texas! Beginning with the complimentary fried rinds and an explanation of the various sauces, every item was prepared with perfection! Our server, Sarah was exemplary! Husband had brisket and ribs. Tender and flavorful. I had the burrito bowl and I highly recommend it! Sides were tasty blends of complimentary seasoning as well.

Google
Best smoked meats we have ever had! Party of 2 , ordered (Weekday late lunch/dinner) : omc smoked plate, pork n' grits, added extra briskets, and creme brulee. Smoked brisket just melts in ur mouth and even the chicken was great (took leftovers to our camping site and grilled them later and it was more amazing!) Grits were so good that we ordered one to go a couple of days later. Creme brulee was divine. It had the perfect sugar crunchy layer on top of the smooth creme and it was perfect w the candied bacon. Would definitely try this again! The four sauces they had were also so yummy w the pork rinds! Everything was super tasty =)

We stopped into OMC for dinner on a warm summer Sunday evening. They start you with chicharrones at the table to sample the barbecue sauces. We ordered brisket, ribs, smoked chicken and sides. All the meats were excellent! Would highly recommend the ribs and brisket. The sides are excellent as well and lots to choose from. They also have a great selection of alcohol, beer, and mixed drinks. This is only about 5-10 minute drive from canal park. There is also a lot to see and do before or after dinner in west Duluth. 5/5!!!!!

Google
The Pork N’ Grits was fantastic on its own and elevated by the addition of their Alabama White BBQ sauce(how could I say no to something with horseradish!). I was also impressed with the service, the turnaround from ordering to receiving our food was blazing fast!

Google
Amazing food, staff were great, very cool interior and atmosphere. The bar-b-cuban was amazing and suggest trying it. The Louisiana catfish and chips were delicious! All the sauces are great and had to buy some to take home! Love to try old fashions every restaurant I try and theirs is delicious and one the best I've had in a while!

Google
BEST experience, all the way around! Brisket was flavorful and DELICIOUS; dipping sauce options were varied, house-made, and tasty; my dietary-delicate husband was able to get a phenomenal burger on a gluten-free bun; sides were unique and mouthwatering (I tried the hush puppies, pecan-topped sweet potatoes, and my husband's fries); and the drinks were excellent - SO MANY bourbon options! We requested to sit on the patio. It was peaceful and the atmosphere was stellar. I cannot recommend this place enough. If I am ever in Duluth again, I'm going back to try the pulled pork. My only complaint is that it said on the menu that gluten-free buns would not be an additional charge, but they did charge us a few dollars extra for it. I think because we told them not to worry about cross-contamination? Lucky for them, everything else was 6/5 stars.

Google
We heard nothing but great things about OMC Smokehouse so thought to try it out while in town. The place is super cozy with lots of seating. Our server was an awesome college student who was super friendly and passionate. We ordered the wings, hushpuppies, Mac and cheese, potato salad, brisket, chicken, and ribs. It was all in all okay but nothing to rave about.

Google
Had the chance to head to OMC with a friend last night. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who complimented my 2 piece outfit. (Thank you, love!) We were seated quickly indoors around 6 pm on a Thursday evening and got a lovely server who was very attentive all evening. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud even though it was fairly busy. Our drinks and food came out fast. We ordered 3 dishes to split. Nashville hot chicken sandwich w/ beef fat fries: the fries were a 10/10! Flavor was amazing. Excellent crunch with a nice soft inside. Could have eaten a million of these fries. Sandwich was 5/10. Wasn’t super flavorful, bun was a little burnt, chicken wasn’t super juicy. I would recommend their sister company Chicken n What for a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich instead. 3 smoked wings with dry rub with ranch and bleu cheese: 10/10 SO GOOD. Crispy on the outside. Soooo juicy on the inside. Dry rub was delicious. Ranch and bleu cheese were both amazing! Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken Wrap w/ Mac n Cheese: wrap was 8/10 great flavor. The pickled jalapeno packed a ridiculous spicy punch that we were not expecting. It was good but woooo chile, it was a kick in the tastebuds. So be prepared. Mac n cheese…2/10. Pasta was cooked well, but the Mac and cheese just lacked flavor and depth. I’m not even sure my kids would have ate it. The cheese they sprinkled on top wasn’t even melted. Overall a good experience here! Will definitely come back for wings and to check out the outdoor seating when the air quality is better. Loved that they had a fire pit out there. They also do not serve THC beverages which is a total bummer, but Legacy Cannabis is right across the street!

Yelp
OMG we love OMC. Went here with some friends and let me just say, delectable flavor, impeccable service, and the ambiance was fantastic. Thank you to all the crew shout out to our wonderful server MASON

Yelp
OMC has never disappointed me. Every time I'm in town I try to get a meal here. I order the same thing each visit, not because I don't like the other items, but because I love the pulled pork so much I just have to get it again and again. What really sets OMC apart from other BBQ places is their dry rub, their garlic aioli and the pork rinds. I always have to ask for extra. While it can be difficult to get a table depending on the day/time of visit, it's worth the wait. On my latest visit we sat outside and I was able to have my dog with me. Even writing this review it's making me want the beef fat fries. If they open a location in the Twin Cities I'll be their first customer.

Yelp
We stopped in at OEM Smokehouse in Duluth and had high hopes based on the vibe and the packed house--and to be fair, the inside of the building was fantastic. Rustic, lively, and welcoming. We grabbed seats at the bar since it was so busy, and our bartender/waiter was awesome--super friendly and attentive the whole time. I ordered the ribs and chicken wings, both with dry rub, and sides of mac & cheese and corn muffins. The ribs were definitely the highlight--solid 8/10. Tender with a nice rub. The wings were okay but didn't really stand out, more of a 7/10. Mac and cheese and the corn muffins were both lacking in flavor--more like a 6/10 and 5/10 respectively. My wife got the Henny Penny sandwich (pulled chicken with bacon and cheese), and unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The chicken had almost no flavor on its own, and it really needed barbecue sauce just to wake it up. Overall, the experience was a mix. Great service and a cool atmosphere, but the food just didn't deliver the punch we were hoping for.

Yelp
Are you looking for BBQ on the North Shore!? This is BY FAR the best BBQ in Minnesota! So when you are in Duluth, make sure to stop! There is a little bit of parking but I find it's hard to find parking and normally just do a "to go" order. This can be done online! The service was fairly quick on the Saturday I went. Everything I ordered was on my bag and they did include silverware. This place does have a cool patio with fire pits. The sweet smokey smell throughout the place will have your mouth watering! The food: THE MUST GET ITEMS: The brisket! Holy moly! It is soooooooo good!!! Best I have ever had! Also the sweet potato's with the candied pecans oh my goodness yum! The ribs here are also BEYOND YUMMY!! They changed the size of their sauces. You can get plenty of sauce but they come in small containers... not a fan. I wish they were bigger again. The hush puppies were not worth it. And the hot honey had a funny taste to it. The corn bread is a bit dry. Those I would skip. The pulled pork is pretty solid. The chicken is also delicious! My boyfriend had the Mac and cheese and it was creamy and had a great cheesy flavor! There is a park with a playground 5 minutes from here if you want to do a pick up!

Yelp
WOW! I know why this BBQ spot has won awards and is a must stop when in Duluth. From the cool alley style patio seating, laid back interior and the wonderful staff- I cannot wait come back. It was our first time, and our server took the time to explain the sauces they have and that using the pork rinds was a great "app" and way to sample the sauces while we wait for our meals. We ordered the Smoked OMC plate with ribs, brisket, smoked chicken and added on the sides of Poblano creamed corn and collard greens. Everything was so tasty and well-seasoned. I especially loved the collard greens and ribs. All the meats were juicy, well-seasoned without being too salty while the sides added another layer of comfort to the meal! Check them out!

Yelp
Solid bbq joint in Duluth! Spacious and well cleaned restaurant with authentic and rustic smokehouse feel. Ordered and shared the OMC Smokehouse plate ($37) substituting the ribs with pulled pork. I enjoyed all the meats but believe the brisket was the best with the honey bbq sauce! All of the meat was moist and tender. I think the portions of pork and beef were pretty slim for the value but that's America these days I suppose. For sides, we tried the OMC beans and the Mac n cheese. The beans had some spice and great flavor. The Mac n cheese was bland and unremarkable but balanced the beans' heat. Service was outstanding! Server Mariah (according to receipt) set this place apart! She was fun, friendly, personable, and always on top of it!
google avatar

Mike W.

Yelp
This place is just amazing! Our server was the best -- gave us the whole rundown on their varying sauces to sample with their delicious pork rinds! The Alabama White is the absolute and addictingly best (just the right amount of horseradish)! I ordered their country fried ribs which I've never had anything like before or since -- so good! More places should give that a whirl! And their Hush puppies with the Nashville hot honey we're just as good as it sounds also. They make a good use out of what isn't a huge location and there's a bit for the tourist/shopper to indulge in at their little gift shop as well.

Yelp
What a fun experience!! Our server was also the bartender but she didn't skip a beat - she really took care of us and made sure to fully explain the menu, the different sauce options, and pulled out a few of her personal faves which we really appreciated! Parking was a bit of a pain but my husband and I came during the lunch time and were able to get seated right away. Love the idea of giving pork rinds to test out the unique BBQ sauces on! They were also a really great snack while we waited but there really wasn't much to wait for. I ordered the ribs and wings plate which came with three full wings (drum + wing) and then a couple ribs. The ribs were a bit overdone in my opinion but the wings, which I got in buffalo sauce, were really tasty! They were smoked so slightly different from what you may be used to as there is no breading but you can taste the Smokey flavor which is a nice add to the zestiness of the buffalo. My husband got a burger and really loved it, super juicy, awesome fries that are cooked in beef fat so it was extra yummy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were seated quickly and given plenty of time to peruse the menu while our server got our beverages. She was friendly and answered my questions about some of the menu items. My husband and I shared the haystack brisket sandwich and the bbq chicken plate, with bbq on the side, the beef fries (not as crispy as we like, but good flavor), unique potato salad (yummy), and a house salad (huge, fresh, and colorful). Plenty of food and they were able to accommodate my dietary requests. The restaurant had fun and colorful paintings on the walls; sauces, rubs, and a cookbook for sale; a take out section; and a couple of rooms of tables for customers.
google avatar

Troy S.

Yelp
Efficient friendly service. The brisket was decent. I had the haystack brisket sandwich, sauce on the side. I selected the hush puppies as my side, fantastic with a honey dip. Nice decor. Outdoor seating as well. Some street parking, otherwise there's a gravel pay to park lot in the back. I like that most of their beer are local beers. Full bar with a good cocktail list as well. They have wine as well. The patio has a fire pit.
google avatar

Yelp
YES. This place is on their game every time I come to town. Really darn good food and innovative dishes, too. Not just the same smoked meats every time. This is one of those places that really gets the food-service-people combo and is doing a great job of earning your business. Would recommend.
google avatar

Kelsey B.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the space, people, and food. We had great service. Our waitress helped choosing some great food. I had their Buffalo chicken biscuit as well as their jalapeño appetizer. The biscuit was so great, wish I could have finished it all. None of the food looked bad on the table!!!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
We got here right when they opened on Sunday but by the time we left there was already a line forming and I see why! I ordered turkey with fries and Mac and cheese and a biscuit to share (if there's a biscuit somewhere, I'm getting it!) The turkey was great and there wasn't a fry left. I was nervous for the Mac and cheese but it was delicious. An unusual noodle for a BBQ place but the cheese was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the biscuit. I could see it being hard to find parking later in the day but it would be worth it! It's also wonderful to see how clearly they care so much for their staff!

Debra L.

Yelp
My husband and I visited OMC last week. He had the brisket platter and I had the Pitmaster sandwich. My sandwich was very good and my husband said his brisket was good. All the sides - bleu cheese potato salad, poblano corn and mac & cheese were some of the best we've ever had in a bbq restaurant. We sat at the bar and Sydney was great, very friendly and attentive. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was I thought the brisket on my sandwich was crisped up a little too much. Also a nice building.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
Visiting for work and went to OMC Smokehouse for dinner. They start you with pork rinds and then I went with the wings to kick things off. Then on to pulled pork and brisket, beans, beef fat fries, and hush puppies. The wings were the best wings I've had in my life and I am not exaggerating! The beans had a nice spice to them. They provide a sauce caddy with 4 different sauces. The horseradish based one was phenomenal!! They have plenty of seating with typical BBQ joint ambiance and service was on point! Would definitely come back!

Yelp
My companion and I stopped in Minneapolis on our way out of town to get coffee and we so fortunately got to chatting with someone who is from Duluth and recommended this restaurant (as we were on our way there for the day). I would probably not have chosen this place on my own, but I'm so glad we went there! My salad was huge and delicious, and the brisket just melted in my mouth, it was perfect! (Though the horseradish dressing was a bit spicy, I should have requested it on the side so I could control how much I got lol) My companion got grits and coleslaw as sides to her brisket, both were spectacular. Our waitress Natalie was lovely and kind. I would highly recommend this place for a hearty lunch or dinner in Duluth.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
The food was amazing some of the best ribs perfectly fatty and meaty love the horseradish bbq sauce and the hot honey is great with the hush puppies and cornbread the mac and cheese isn't to good just overly liquidy sauce and some non melted pre shredded cheese on top but is better if you add some bbq sauce to it great drinks though
google avatar

Dina N.

Yelp
Ahhhhhmazing! There were four of us at our table. We did an appetizer, one mixed drink, four entrées and dessert. Everything had amazing flavor. Nothing was terribly spicy, just a hint of heat for the jalapeño appetizer. The four house sauces were delicious. We didn't have to wait, and our server was courteous and prompt. Overall, a great dining experience! it might take us a year or two to come back up to Duluth, Minnesota, but we will be back.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Very very good! We had the grits which different and maybe not as good as you'd find in the south but pleasantly surprised. The potatoe salad excellent!

Consumer O.

Yelp
Way way overhyped. Our party of 4 each tried different entrees and appetizers and none of the were good enough for us to go back . We know good bbq- having lived in Texas for years and this wasn't even close. The servers knew we were disappointed with our food so they ignored our table. Save yourself the trip, unless you like oddly seasoned dried up salty scraps of food.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is at Duluth, Minnesota. We stopped by this restaurant on the way back yo Minneapolis. It was quite a busy restaurant when we arrived. It has 2 sitting areas. It serves Louisiana bbq and Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The restaurant is very cozy with a full bar service. We ordered a pork rib, brisket, salad, Korean pork belly sandwich, salad, and chicaron. We ordered to go for eating on the road. The food was ready pretty quickly. I slso order sweet tea ehich is good and not sweet. All the food is yummy. The pork rib is tender, the pork belly is well seasoned, and the brisket is soft. I can say they are not cheap but worth.
google avatar

Rj S.

Yelp
The food never really disappoints here. The pork rinds are always awesome and free . The ribs and brisket were solid but not really mind blowing, but they fulfilled my craving. The candied sweet potato bake wasn't my favorite, something about them was just off to me. The service was very good and checked up on us regularly and even gave us more pork rinds. And the whole restaurant was spacious and made me feel comfortable inside as if I could hang out there for hours.
google avatar

Lynette H.

Yelp
We stopped in after coming out of a week trip to the BWCA. It is our tradition because it is so amazing! The chicken wings are a must. The side salads are a perfect mix of greens and veggies. I had the bama brisket salad. It was delicious. However, I did have to pull the pickles off. They were just too much and did not compliment the salad it my opinion. Too strong and over powering. We sat in the section with the kitchen and wait staff. It is not the best place to sit in my opinion. Too much traffic. Our waitress however was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place and have never been disappointed with our choices. My salad just needed a little tweak.
google avatar

Hoa N.

Yelp
First time here. The ribs were tender and falls off the bone whereas the chicken wings were too crispy and lack of flavor. The BBQ sauces were tasty and added some flavors to the ribs and chicken. I didn't care for the Alabama horseradish sauce or the mustard sauce. It was quiet in the dining that we were in and we came between 3 and 4 so it was slow before the dinner rush. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant was quaint with lots of pigs, cows and chicken decor to call out the name of the restaurant.
google avatar

Ronald N.

Yelp
We stopped for dinner and were told an hour wait, but only had to wait about 20 minutes as we agreed to sit at the bar. Bartender was very personable and my house old fashioned was excellent. Our food was awesome; great smoked flavor and portion size. Very busy and nice decor; lots of crazy "stuff" to look at.

Natalie B.

Yelp
Great food with portions that make sense. Loved all the choices of sides. They have great coalslaw and Mac and cheese
google avatar

Jen F.

Yelp
So yummy!! Service was great and the atmosphere was cool. Try the Tipsy Pig cocktail, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Corey C.

Yelp
Just phenomenal barbecue. Came to OMC Smokehouse for lunch and disappointed. Ordered Classic Brisket with 2 Bones of St. Louis Style Ribs plus Mac and cheese and whipped sweet potato mash for $33. All of the food was flavorful and a majority of the brisket was tender and juicy which is hard for some places to do. This is a great barbecue option when in Minnesota not just Duluth. I will be back!

Vivian L.

Yelp
The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was very modern but the food was not very good. I got the chicken bacon patty melt and it was so very dry. My mother got the burrito bowl and that was just fine nothing special. To top off the night we got brisket that was tasteless and bland. On the side we got the Mac and cheese to say it was tasteless is an understatement it looked like buttered noodles that had a pinch of cheese sprinkled on the top not creamy at all (Kraft is better)!!! Anyway this was our second and last visit. Very disappointed...
google avatar

Allie M.

Yelp
Food 5/5 - When visiting Duluth this is a must stop! The Jalapeño Brisket Bombs are just the right amount of sweet and spicy, the brisket is top notch for Minnesota, and the Elote Chicken Salad was packed full of flavor. Service / Ambiance 5/5 - We got our food within a timely manner. The wait staff was kind and helpful. The smokehouse has a rustic feel and a great layout.

Yelp
Holy smokes this is some amazing smoked bbq! We were recommended to eat here by a few people, and we finally decided to dine in on our anniversary trip. I wish we would have went sooner. It definitely became a favorite spot now for when we come back to the north shore. I love how they give you the in house pork rinds to sample all of their sauces. I was obsessed with the white Alabama sauce, and I don't even like horseradish, but this had no trace of it in my opinion which made it sooo tangy and good! We ordered the hush puppies with cry baby honey aioli which were some of the best hush puppies we've had. I've had bbq in the south and this is just as good, trust me! For my entree I had the fried chicken sandwich with the Alabama sauce, and Mac n cheese. My hubby got the country fried ribs, YUM! The sides were greens and jalapeño cheesy grits, you definitely can't go wrong with any of the sides. I wanted dessert, but had to hold back a little, ha! Our server Nick was top notch and the brew list here. Highly recommend this place you are in the Duluth area.
google avatar

Jodi F.

Yelp
Really good BBQ restaurant -- starts out with fresh pork rinds brought to the table. I highly recommend trying the sauces on these. Tasty! I got the salad with the brisket on it (don't remember the exact name) but it was very good. And also a side of the elote corn and cornbread. A great combination. Our server was very good and helpful at recommending things. And we loved the outside eating area as the weather was incredible tonight.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Awesome BBQ place! Our family was in town for a lake vacation and and stopped on a Thurs night around 6PM and we were able to get a table outside (which was a covered patio). There is no table service outside, so you just need to go inside and order at the counter and they will bring it out. They had a good selection of local brews and some interesting cocktails as well. The six of us ordered pulled pork platter, brisket, ribs, tacos and loaded mac & cheese. Everyone loved their food (except the loaded mac & cheese...maybe just different than her expectations) - and the ribs were outstanding! Overall excellent experience!
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Visited 7/19/24. I had previously heard wonderful things about OMC but never had gotten in until now. Came around 5:30 for dinner (the earlier the better because it does start to get busier later on). Service was really solid with great recommendations throughout. I got the lemonade to drink which was equally sweet as it was delicious. My mom and I ended up splitting the platter (containing brisket, ribs, and 1/4 chicken) with sides of corn and beans and then we added on a side of biscuits. If you're trying to decide between meats, they were all solid but I would definitely recommend the brisket. It was melt-in-your mouth good. The elote style corn was really solid and the beans were flavorful with a bit more of a chili style. My mom wasn't a big fan of the toasted style of the biscuits but I thought they were great and enjoyed dipping them. Overall, really enjoyed everything from the food to the drinks to the sauces.
google avatar

Caitlin P.

Yelp
Sarah took great care of us. She was attentive and patient. We loved all the food we got - fantastic Mac n cheese and cool sampling experience when you sat down. Food came out quick! We got the loaded Mac & cheese, ribs, chicken tacos, brisket and cream cheese stuffed jalapeños, and a chicken tender sandwich. Would recommend to anyone in Duluth or visiting! Great patio and flowers. Super cute decor throughout as well. Cocktails, nice wine selection & good beers

Yelp
It was unbelievable, I'm a professional chef of 27 years and it take a bit to impress me . Everything one the menu was excellent ! Staff was great too !! Must go and the tell your friends then go with them

Yelp
I was in town stop here for BBQ, Everyone friendly, order own plate, Chicken, Two ribs and brisket. Delicious to the last bite. Service was great, good wait but it was Friday night. I had a great time visiting with locals while i waited for my take out. 5 Stars for Sure. Chris Wilson Texas

Yelp
Sweet potato side is really good. The blue cheese potato salad was not a strog blue cheese flavor if your worried about that. Everything seemed dry since they expected the sauce put on it all. The honey sweet bbq has a tich of the mustard/vinegar flavor and is runny. The brisket and cheddar is what I ordered and had the jam on the side as normally that stuff isn't my jam. The brisket had a bit of a spice to it so I tried the jam on it and it was like a sweet ketchup that cooled down the brisket at least on my palate. It made it very good I gave my side to my partner he had the cornbread as the fries are fried with the catfish, which has gluten. I do appreciate the GF bun was not extra that was nice. When you arrive they give you pork rinds which I don't eat pork but still nice. My in law had the ribs and they were not fall off the bone but it didn't take much to get off. The drinks were good and the service was good.

Yelp
We were visiting Duluth and had dinner here - OMC won't disappoint! I wish it was close to where I live! It's BBQ at a chef level! What a great place. We started with nachos. Pulled pork, jalapeños and flavor heaven! They didn't last long. I had Time Honored Classic chicken sandwich. Smoked pulled chicken - delicious! Also had Elote and cheesy jalapeño grits. Wow! Superb! This place is wonderful! As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
Get. Here. If you're looking for something with an amazing vibe, service staff and food OMC is where you find it! Ambiance is very rustic and considered a trendy smokehouse. I highly recommend the sweet potato bake and cornbread sides, The sauces are all unique, and there is something for everyone. They are sampled when you arrive with the complimentary chiccarones. My personal favorite was the Alabama White, but definitely try them all! This is a great stop especially outside of Canal Park. And if heading back to the cities it's on your way out with quick access to Highway 35. Order of photos: Loaded Mac Brisket Sandwich Burrito Bowl with Smoked Chicken It's definitely a good place for a food coma!

Jazlynn P.

Yelp
Cade and Ryan were the best! Came to dinner alone but they made me feel like I was right at home with their conversation and great recommendations! I was pleasantly surprised by the food the brisket was tender, the greens and sweet potato bake were perfect! My favorite was the jalapeño bomb, never had anything like it and I would definitely it them again!

Yelp
Exceptional customer service and even better food. Me and my bother were traveling through from Des Moines IA, he chose this restaurant for his birthday dinner and oh boy did he choose right. We both got their lemonade which was delicious, not too sweet, just right. Then we started our meals with the jalapeño brisket bombs followed by the wings n ribs for me and the OMC burger for my brother. For sides he had fries and I had the Mac and the sweet potatoes casserole. My sides were recommended by our server and they did not disappoint. It was a little pricey but would definitely go again if ever in these parts of the country.

Yelp
My friend and I walked around the corner from Bent Paddle to here for dinner. I suffered from a major case of "eyes bigger than belly" ordering wings as a starter (which arrived with main course) and brisket with cole slaw and collard greens. The brisket was excellent. A decent portion that was flavorful and cooked properly. They clearly know brisket at OMC. The cole slaw was not wet and the cabbage was crisp. Collards were spicy though chopped more fine than I would have preferred. The wings ended up going into a box and were lunch the next day. They were a bit dry though meaty. Not particularly flavorful. The blue cheese dressing was a must. Overall, a positive experience and I would choose OMC again. [Review 17878 overall - 105 in Minnesota - 1399 of 2022.]

Yelp
This was my second time back at OMC Smokehouse and it's a great restaurant to try in Duluth. This time I got the OMC smoked burrito bowl, hibiscus mint tea, and French fries for an appetizer. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the fryer letting me know that the French fries are fried separately but in a fryer next to other items so there's a chance of cross contamination. I had all 3 items and did not get sick due to my celiac. The burrito bowl was huge and I was unable to finish it all in one sitting! During the summer this restaurant can be quite busy but after Labor Day during the week we didn't have a problem getting in. During the summer they do have a very nice outdoor area to enjoy.

Yelp
We usually build our entire Duluth trip around a stop at this joint! A family favorite that never ceases to hit the spot! Parking is limited to street, and due to the concentration of great spots in the area, can be tough! Couple that with the fact that there is usually a long wait upon arrival, you do have to earn your experience...but it's worth every second. Elite tip: put your name in and jump to a local brewery (Ursa Minor, Bent Paddle, Duluth Cider, Wild State Cider). Once you do get a table, the space itself is vaguely farmhouse inspired. Service has always been attentive and great. Now the food is where this spot wins my heart. I'm all for some good BBQ! Upon arrival, you're gifted a plate of pork rinds, and this is the time to try all four of their tabletop signature sauces. That way you know what to load up on when your food arrives. I've tried a bunch of stuff, and it's all great! I'm partial to brisket and grits, but I also think their loaded Mac and Cheese is phenomenal! Definitely not a better spot for food when you're checking out all that Superior Street has to offer, so definitely Oink, Moo, and Cluck your way over to OMC!

Yelp
I ordered smoke turkey. It looked and tasted like plain old too salty turkey from any deli supermarket. Nothing special and very disappointing. I thought it would be a shredded BBQ smokehouse type. The coleslaw was good. I have had other meals here, and they were great. Maybe it's just the turkey. I would not order that again. At $30.00 it's a poor choice. The service was prompt. The location is ok.

Yelp
F*ckin amazing Brisket, Smoked Wings, and Nashville Hot Chimken Sammich. Staff are amazing, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. If you try the BBQ sauce and want to try the sweet and savory, and then spicy at the end (but easy on the palette), you need to do 2/3 Chipotle with 1/3 ESB Carolina Mustard. You will not be disappointed with this establishment.

Yelp
Such a great place for dinner while visiting Duluth. We are staying in the Lincoln Park area, so it was only a short walk from our accommodations. The server was terrific. She explained the nuances of each sauce and was helpful in her recommendations. Everything was incredible. It seemed that we had a little of everything. The smoked meats were wonderful, but the side dishes were the stars of the show. We shared collard greens, the bacon and blue cheese potato salad, and the cornbread. Yum!!! There is a fun vibe in the place and the outside fire pit area was cool looking.
