Parking: There was lots of parking available. Very convenient when getting off the main road . Service: The service was generally good. We were immediately presented with a bread basket with lots of butter, jam and water after seating. They were very quick, with our orders too. Food: The food portion sizes were very generous. Fairly tasty too. The water they served was a bit off ..with a strong tapwater taste. Had to use a few lemon wedges to offset the taste. The bread wasn't warmed up however. The muffins were very good though. Ordered the gyro platter, crepes and two omelettes with a side of salad. Atmosphere: Very family oriented atmosphere. The was a lot of booths and seating to accommodate families .

Great dinner with a huge menu! You can get breakfast or lunch and a few steak items. Big portions and fast service. A little pricey but the portions make up for it! Nice atmosphere and family friendly place!

We absolutely love Omega and come here at least once a month! The food and the service are both fantastic! Never had a bad meal here. The matzo ball soup is the best in town!! I came today with my family for my birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised by a photographer on site. I got to memorialize my birthday with some awesome pictures. My son loved the one she took of him and turned it into a cartoon character.

We’ve gone to Omegas a million times. We are regulars and love the 24 hour diner. Desserts are great, menu is extensive and delicious, service is always fast and super helpful. We’ve had coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert all the things. Only and the daily soup specials!!!! My favorite haha. You really can’t miss and there is something for everyone there especially if you all have totally different tastes and cravings. Also there was a photographer there taking pictures of the guests today and it was such a cute fun memorable thing to do.

Had lunch at Omega. Ordered wings, soup, bread basket, BBQ Burger and Turkey BLT Decker sandwich and two drinks. Came out to $60.00 Typical family restaurant, good food for a good price. A little dated and older crowd attendance, but typical for family restaurants. Create variety of desserts from their bakery/dessert counter. Definitely enjoyed our meal here.

I normally just come into Omega Restaurant at this location to get their homemade coffee cakes and bring them to work. This morning I had extra time so I sat down and had breakfast pancakes were delicious but I got a sausage Skillet and the cook must have put in a whole onion in there so obviously wasn't happy with that but normally their food is good. If you order a skillet just go easy on the onions first time I haven't finished a meal in a long time onions were overpowering everything else.

Came from out of town as a group— I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap.. chicken was not even cooked, pink as pink could be— also requested a spinach wrap and instead got a flour wrap and extra spinach. Boyfriend ordered a regular hamburger WELL DONE— came out slimey and raw on the inside, absolutely flavorless. For the price of things you would expect so much more but you literally get no flavor and no enjoyment in the meal. Service-wise— our waitress would intentionally not stop when she would walk past our table, very well seeing we haven’t touched our food in minutes, stormed off when requested a manager— manager never came to the table, waitress stormed back and slammed receipts on the table very rudely.

I don't know what took us so long to find this restaurant having lived here all our lives. We are now in out 70's and recently dined here for the first time. It was AMAZING!! When you walk into the door there is a huge bakery counter with every sweet thing you could imagine!! The food was incredible and the service was great!! If you haven't been here you have to go here as soon as possible!! It will definitely be on your list of top 10 restaurants!!

Yelp
Our party of 4 returned here to enjoy a senior discounted early bird dinner. I'll go with a 4.5 star rating for this outing as the value here really is exceptional. The senior discount which is now 15% (it used to be 20%) applies from 2-5pm M-F and you just have to be seated at your table by then, and not be rushed to order your dinner before 5pm. We had a nice, leisurely, and comfortable dinner with so much food and also leftovers. Terry was our excellent server and she is a veteran of 13 years here. We ordered the following and the prices are pre-discount: - lamb chops, $32.95 (my order) - spinach pie, $15.45 - salmon steak, $22.95 - chicken panini, $17.95 I also upgraded my meal for $5 to a "complete dinner" which includes a salad, coffee or tea, and a dessert of choice. Our meals came with soup, and the wife and I each had a huge hearty bowl of baked French onion soup, which a $1 upgrade. I finished the lamb chops but took most of the huge mound of delicious fries with Feta cheese home as a carryout as it was way too much. The lamb chops were very good except that 2 out of the 5 pieces were on the mildly chewy side, and that was my only reason for a 1/2 star deduct. When done with the entree I looked over the huge and enticing choice of pies and cakes in the bakery display, and picked out a slice of a delectable chocolate-strawberry cake with a decaf coffee and that was a nice finish to a big meal. We all enjoyed our meals and the wives had plenty of leftovers too. The salmon steak was also moist, tender, and delicious (I had a sampling). The table also gets to keep the big basket of breads as a carryout and that is yet another meal bonus here. Big thumbs up and we'll be back sooner or later!

Yelp
Have good memories of the Greek diners around Illinois and Omega is one of the major ones... its been so long? It's not as great as I recall and way way pricer. The food was okay but not delicious though the desserts look good the fruit cheesecake since I took home was bland. I had a gyros plate dinner which allotted me an appetizer sides entree and dessert with coffee for a low add fee of $4. Good deal! Everything was meh together. Service was spotty but there was one server taking care of at least 10 tables if not more so I dont blame her. Ambiance was mostly boomer and decor looked like it had not been updated in the 10 years I haven't been here... but it survived the panic so... and they no longer serve saganak... WTFi

Yelp
Omegas has been around for years and years. We passed it so many times and were always curious about stopping in, but this was our first visit. They have a huge menu, as most Greek Diners do. And, it has a very wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We visited for a late lunch and there were five of us. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. It took a few minutes for them to bring menus by, just a little too long. But we were pleased when we saw the variety of options they offer. I can't speak to what anyone else in my party had. I had a burger with fries. (I know, very original.) I thought it was fair. The fries were good, but the beef in the burger was kind of bland. They also had a variety of specials, which were kind of pricy. I probably should have tried one of those. Since they are specials, I would hope they were made with more love. If we return, I'll try a special next time.

Yelp
The girls and I were on our way to the children's museum and we made a stop here to pick up some baked goods. We tried the following: Eclair Cinnamon horn Elephant ears French twist Chocolate roll cake with chocolate mousse Napoleon Sweet roll with almond cream Chocolate flute We did not care for the chocolate roll cake with chocolate mousse. The cake was a tad dry and too sweet for our liking. But we thoroughly enjoyed everything else. My favorites are the cinnamon horn, elephants ears, and French twist. I can't wait to revisit and order another box!

Yelp
A decent diner to get breakfast or dinner. Food quality is average. Service was prompt and efficient.

Yelp
The food is excellent for all meals! The menu is ample ! Many choices . The wait staff was very friendly ! It is a family style resturant . I paid extra for liver onions and bacon which made it so tasty . I was very full . I pad extra for soup salad and desert and iced tea . It was worth it . You can get ala Carte . I always enjoy omega

Yelp
What a lovely place! Portions are generous and the pricing is great given all that comes with your meal. Fantastic complimentary bread basket is a great way to start - especially if you've just landed at O'Hare nearby after a looooong flight. Service is friendly. My standout item was the side of Greek lemon potatoes - PERFECTION. The bakery cases are massive and filled with so many delights. I think this might be new dining destination when I land at O'Hare!

Yelp
We were in the area today and just had to stop in for a late lunch / early dinner! We used to have a location by our house but it closed down. So happy to dine here today. The location is very busy... the parking lot was full but we were able to find one spot. We were expecting a wait and to our amazement there was no wait. The restaurant is huge and there is plenty of seating! The dinner items are around $20 and for $4 more you can get a soup, salad, dessert, and coffee or tea. It is well worth the money! Don't come here if you're not too hungry! The portion sizes are huge! All the food we had was delicious... it was under salted but that is how we like our food. They have plenty of condiments on the table too. My husband had the Corned Beef Omelette with hashed browns and pancakes with sugar free syrup! He liked it but said he would order something else next time! I really had a taste for corned beef and cabbage but that was yesterdays (Saturday) special so I could not order it. I picked the veal cutlet with mashed potatoes and it was delicious and exactly what I was expecting / hoping for. I ordered the dinner and split the Rosa Marina Chicken Soup and the dinner salad with ranch dressing with my husband. We also split the chocolate eclair for dessert. It was cold and so decadent! I would definitely order this again! The coffee was also really good (not bitter at all) If you're in the area you have to give this place a try!

Yelp
I like that they are open 24/7. It's a warm, welcoming beacon of comfort food. I'm a big fan of the creamy chicken rice soup featured on Sunday and Monday. It's a huge restaurant, with a large bakery in between the two dining rooms and the counter behind, if you're dining solo. The menu is huge. If you can't find SOMETHING you like, well you're too picky. Salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, meat loaf, and then there's the BREAKFAST MENU... breakfast available anytime. It's an institution. It's my go to after a late arrival at ORD. It's where I go after a Rosemont concert or casino outing. Plenty of parking. Great service. Great food! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Went for lunch to this place we used to frequently have a good meal but it has gone down in service and taste and quality of the food. My wife ordered the Greek chicken with a complete meal and waited about 35 minutes or so which we were told by the waitress who had a poker face with no feelings of introduction or a hello, just asking are you ready to order, she loves her job , we could tell, anyways I ordered the corned beef with fries and matzo ball soup which was delicious, the sandwich was very dry with no taste even with mustard and ask for mayonnaise, still dry as a day old rye bread which was served on Maybe it was an off day for the restaurant on Fridays.

Yelp
Used to be a great place for a terrific meal at a solid price. Wow, have things changed. The prices are ridiculous now but I guess they had to pay for the fancy new menus somehow. They actually use smaller bowls for the soup now, which is insulting. A meat side is no longer included with a basic breakfast. You want a side of bacon?? IT'S SEVEN DOLLARS NOW!! Our food today was 50/50. My Monte Cristo was excellent but the wife's chicken salad was bland. Even my chicken noodle soup was disappointing....not just the smaller portion, but the taste as well. We won't be back, sadly, after 30 years of patronage.

Yelp
We took our Oma out to breakfast and she had the perfect place. She said she hadn't been here in 15 years and that it's probably be around for 40-50 years. She remembered it to be a good breakfast place and it still delivers great breakfast even today. We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30am and got seated right away. For being large restaurant it wasn't super busy and not super empty. Our waiter got us our drinks shortly after we got seated. Then they delivered some breakfast cake I think it was a rhubarb but it was delicious and free. Almost like a basket of bread you get at some places. We placed our orders and it probably came to our table within 10 minutes so they were super quick. The food tasted great and the waiter ensured our coffee and water was always full. The middle of the restaurant they have a pastry case that was filled with lots of tasty looking treats. We definitely will be back whenever we are down this way again.

Yelp
I purchased 2 pies for Thanksgiving, both were terrible. The chocolate cream pie had a strange consistency and flavor, the chocolate flavor was off, same for the cherrie pie, cherries were not tasty. You would think charging $25.00 a pie it would be better than store bought. Next time oh wait there won't be a next time!

Yelp
Amazing!!! Grew up in Niles, havent lived since 2001 but used to go all the time as a kid after church. Still the same. Great! Omega never disappoints. still tastes the same. After the name drop on the BEAR, I said to my husband, thats in Niles, he said can we go. So we took my 75 year Dad back to our after church spot. Great food, so many options! Great service, and do not forget, its open 24/7

Cindy H.

Yelp
Food was good but the prices are outrageous! I have been going to the Omega Restaurants for years - there's more than one. I'm sorry, $20 is too much to pay for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of avocado toast, and a cup of coffee. In addition, they now add an extra 3% to your bill if you want to use a debit or credit card. I would have no problem with an extra charge if the servers were benefiting from it but they arent't. Can I afford the price increase? Yes. Will I pay it, no. Won't be back. I can go to I-Hop and get good eggs and toast...

Yelp
I only wish I had more time to really explore everything they offered. I was with family and everyone enjoyed what we got. The coffee cake was delicious.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch on a weekday. Service was quick and very capable, like she had worked there a long time. The food was pretty standard fare breakfast and lunch stuff. I was disappointed to find out that I had come on an alternating Monday, when they had asparagus soup instead of cream of mushroom. I plan to call ahead next time and make sure I'm there on the right Monday! I had the big dipper, and it was pretty good. I thought I would probably take half home for later, but I surprised myself by eating it all, along with the coleslaw I had as a side. My husband had the Monday special pot roast and matzoh ball soup and enjoyed them both. My only regret was not having dessert. The pies and cakes at the pastry counter looked delicious, so we'll have to go back and try some of those.

Yelp
Prices are a little high. Its a good breakfast brunch place but didn't order what I wanted because I thought too much
google avatar

Yelp
I used to come here often when I lived in the suburbs. My friend and I were randomly driving by and decided to get lunch here instead. We got the souvlaki to share, which came with a soup and salad. We got the chicken and rice soup with regular side salad. The soup was so delicious we could not stop talking about how good it was. The meat in the souvlaki was so juicy and flavorful. The service was great and our waiter was the sweetest. Will always recommend Omega!
google avatar

Leigh S.

Yelp
Have to say the quality of the food has gone down quite a bit and the prices are definitely on the high side. This is the second time my food has come out barely lukewarm. I did work up the nerve to send my meal back to be heated. While the waiter apologized and took it back, it returned not much warmer. The bread baskets are still amazing.
google avatar

Denise A.

Yelp
Our food was tasteless & expensive. There may not have been enough wait staff but our waitress never came by to check or offer refill after delivering the order except to give us the bill. We had to ask for refill on water & coffee. The fries were not hot, the coleslaw was runny - what a waste of money! Less than one star!
google avatar

Louie B.

Yelp
New menu, with much higher prices and the service is so slow there these days. They use to be a reliable place to eat at.
google avatar

Yelp
Omega is and always has been our go to spot for lots of reasons. They are open 24 hours.. always have been, always (hopefully ) will be. Their soups are homemade, warm, and comforting. (Our faves are the matzoh ball and the baked French onion). The service has been immaculate every single time we have been here. Everyone working there is always so attentive and friendly. Our waitress today, Agathe, was amazing. She was on top of things the second we sat down, and we could tell how hard of a worker she was. My mom and I love to split this specific meal- she orders a French onion soup and a side of Greek fries. I order a fajita burger (no onion, medium, side of mayo), with Greek potatoes as the side... so so good. love you Omega :)

Yelp
Omega Restaurant offers exceptional value and delectable dining experiences that keep customers coming back for more. The Black Peppercorn Burger stands out as a star on the menu, delivering a savory punch that satisfies taste buds with each bite. Paired perfectly with the endless soup bowl, which offers a comforting variety of flavors, this combo promises a fulfilling meal that leaves patrons fully satisfied. What's more, the burger comes complete with sides like soup, coleslaw, fries, and a pickle, ensuring a well-rounded dining experience. Families will appreciate the extensive kids' menu, where favorites like chicken tenders and grilled cheese are crafted to perfection, pleasing even the pickiest of eaters. Whether you're craving a mouthwatering burger or seeking a family-friendly dining destination, Omega Restaurant exceeds expectations with its quality dishes and unbeatable value. Ambiance is casual and family friendly atmosphere.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing it's open 24 hours and serves amazing meals, soups, breads and incredible bakery desserts. Service is always outstanding.

Yelp
It was terrible. I have never had any problems there with waiters until yesterday. I wanted some soup with a cheese sandwich and fries. The waiter brought cold soup. When I asked for crackers, he NEVER brought any. I had to tell two other HISPANICS to help me, because he never came over regarding the cold soup. He was standing by the area where they have the coffee or going to tables that had a lot of people. The coffee was not even hot it was warm. When he brought the sandwich, I asked him for a box so that I could take my leftovers home he NEVER brought the box. I had to ask another HISPANIC who cleans the tables to give me a box. After he brought the check, I complained to the lady at the cash register about him. I believe some man went to get him because all of a sudden, he came over and mentioned the crackers. I told him he's a jerk and he raised his voice at me and started asking me what did I say? I couldn't believe he raised his voice at me. I'm the CUSTOMER. I told him he's a jerk and I left. He can get his tips from groups of people who go there. I didn't leave a tip.

Yelp
Really good place with an extensive menu. The soups are always wonderful. My favorite is the sweet and sour cabbage soup, which is always top-notch. The cream of mushroom is great, too
google avatar

Susie Q.

Yelp
Not nuts about this place, but I was in a bind. The restaurant is so dated and dark. The surface I received was good. Wish I remembered her name. I was really disappointed with the patty melt. It is usually on grilled rye bread. You could tell that they didn't take the time to grill it. It was just toasted like in a toaster. Definitely makes a difference.
google avatar

Yelp
I grew up coming here! One of the best 24hr restaurants in the neighborhood and its nostalgic to anyone local to the area. Omega boasts a large menu of sandwiches, plated entrees, salads, wraps, breakfast items, weekly soups and specials, a full bar, and of course its large display of baked goods. I've spent countless hours here over the yrs with family and friends. Good service and casual ambience. Happy to see them going 40+ yrs strong.
google avatar

David Z.

Yelp
Everything was very nice. A very busy place! I firmly recommend this place. The waiter was very attentive and it was just a good old fashioned good meal.
google avatar

Ariel C.

Yelp
The service here is wonderful. Everyone was very kind and it was a very family oriented atmosphere. That being said the food wasn't great and it could be because there is so much going on in the menu. I got a steak wrap that was very greasy and drippy but also no flavor. There were a few dishes that just weren't good, but the more traditional Greek and Mediterranean plates seemed to have been a hit for those that ordered it. So give this place a shot and just be mindful about what they are better at. They also have delicious cakes and desserts and I would return for those!
google avatar

Yelp
I went to Omega this evening for dinner. Dinner was pretty good. However the biggest turnoff was I asked the waitress for glass of water with ice to take my existing water from the table. She brings me the water and says well there's a 50 cents charge for the cup. I said you've got to be kidding I just spent $20 or close to it and you're going to charge me $0.50 for a cup? She was very nice and she says to me I'll give you the 50 cents. I said no forget it thank you this place is very cheap and I'll never be back here due to your 50 cent bologna charge. When I left I saw a bald-headed man in a shirt and tie I assume the manager I explained to him that I really think the food was great and it was a lot of nerve to charge me 50 cents for a cup of water so I can take it to go. He looks at me like a deer with his headlights off and then walks away. What a great manager if that's who he was. Bottom line if you eat here they're very cheap and will charge you for anything .Beware and that's besides their service charge for using a credit card and have they raised their prices in the last 4 years? Stay away!! I'll never eat here again thank you.

Yelp
First time coming here and I was very impressed by the service everyone was friendly. The place is very clean and the food was amazing!!! We all ordered breakfast and coffee and everyone was happy. I have to say the hash browns were done so perfect I wanted more but was so full. Also the cranberry muffins are to die for. We will be coming back.

Yelp
Wanted apple pie and cheese coffee cake for Thanksgiving. I decided to come here since I come here for dinner. Needless to say my son in law who loves apple pie said it was the best one ever and my guest and kids love the coffee cake. I would definitely give it a 11/10. It was that good. Price was $22 for pie and $7.95 for coffee cake. Can't go wrong Thank you for great customer service too. They made it fresh and was ready next day to pick up.

Yelp
I've been going here since it opened , great food , staff and coffee and the dessert's are plentiful and delicious

Yelp
My husband and I went to Omega Restaurant & Bakery with some friends after going to another restaurant that didn't serve dessert. I have a sweet tooth, and this restaurant hit the spot. As you enter, you'll notice a large refrigerated display case with all of their bakery items. All of the pastries are made in the restaurant. They must have an army of bakers because there are a ton of desserts. I chose the Omega Cheesecake, which combines their cheesecake, cake, and chocolate covered strawberries. I thought it was a great combination and a chance to try many desserts at once. This makes me interested in coming back to try the rest of their menu. I recommend Omega Restaurant & Bakery
google avatar

Harry S.

Yelp
I reluctantly came back here with family and friends since my first visit and it was just as bad the second time around the food was served cold. I had an open faced roast beef and not a singe drop of gravy was on the bread I think they were running out of brown gravy and tried to stretch what little they had left. I also ordered the blueberry cheese cake and it had that sitting uncovered in a refrigerator taste. I am amazed on how people give this place a high rating if this diner was in New jersey it have gone out of business less then a year

Koula D.

Yelp
This place has gone down hill. I have heard that the precious owners sold to some new ownership. Food is horrible. Aside from spending 54.00 on 2 omelette and 2 coffees - we got sick from the food. Horrible will never return. Miss what omega used to be. It was always our go to place. Not anymore.
google avatar

Rico T.

Yelp
I frequent this place. It's been a regular late night meeting spot with my friends since the 90s. Food is always solid, dining room always bustling & servers are on point. While service is always very good, this guy in the pic is TOP TIER. His name is Lyndon (yes, as in LBJ) and he's ALWAYS ON POINT. In my opinion, his skill deserves to be at a fine dining establishment. If you eat here during the night shift, look around for this dude & ask if there's seating available in his section. I have better rapport with him than with some of my family members!

Yelp
love how this place looks inside and i love their super late hours, food is ok and needs salt sometimes but thats why there's salt shakers

Yelp
My evening was almost unsatisfying but than came a waitress who I told her my issue about the cream of chicken. And she instantly brought me another vegetable soup. I am so full and satisfied. Thank you! The unlimited bowl of soup was a success! The atmosphere is always buzzing with people late at night. Which makes me feel at ease, at this late of hour. -------- Moments just before---- I usually have a great experience but this time, I'm just as annoyed. Like the server. "Ugh." -sigh Made me uncomfortable ordering something else, so I just decided to pay... And leave. Even though I had gotten the unlimited soup bowl. And had only one soup. Well, the vegetable soup was awesome. Like always. But the Cream of Chicken was.... I have no idea. It was white, goopy, and thick like paste. I slightly lost my appetite from that one but thankfully the vegetable soup was still next to it. Though... I only had one soup. I leave my experience unsatisfied as I was uncomfortable to ask for another soup. Should have just ordered one soup, and saved myself the trouble. And for the waiter I guess.

Steven K.

Yelp
If you have food allergies, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! They don't accommodate any allergens and straight up told us that everything is cross contaminated and they are not willing to accommodate. We are better off going elsewhere. Very disappointed in them.

Yelp
I recently visited Omega for an early dinner and shared a club sandwich with fries with a friend. The clam chowder, though thick, wasn't my favorite, and I wondered if the recipe had changed or if the soup had been sitting for too long. The club sandwich was good, and the service was quick, but the fries had an unusual smell resembling a wet rag, making the overall experience mixed. The restaurant was full of older customers having an early dinner I liked the vibe old diner vibes.

B T.

Yelp
This restaurant has been around for years, back in the day it was the place to go now I would run the other way! I bought a skirt steak panini yesterday ($21 ouch) and the bread was completely burnt uneatable, you're better off getting a steak & cheese sandwich from Subway (down the street). I went back this morning and exchanged it for eggs benedict, I'm not sure what kind English muffin they use but it was soggy, and the size of the Canadian bacon was like a silver dollar. I'll be tossing this out, it's tasteless even after adding additional salt & pepper, don't waste your money there are far better restaurants that are higher quality food with comparable pricing. Also, the manager (male) is not accommodating with a customer compilate to make it right, it seems over the years they've gotten too big and lost the quality that people are looking for and are ok with their old-time customers.

Yelp
Huge menu of delicious food choices. Dinners come with soup salad and dessert! Such a great deal. Fantastic level of service at this popular restaurant. Certainly worth the trip!

Yelp
Standard diner for breakfast and lunch. They serve complimentary cake for breakfast and a bread basket for lunch. I had the veggie skillet which was good, but they put sliced American cheese on top which seemed kind of lazy. Shredded cheese melted in the dish would have been better. Portions are good and the coffee is decent. The restaurant is large so there should be no problem getting a table. Can get a little loud when there are many people inside.

Yelp
It's nice and clean Our waitress was old and fantastic she served us hit good, refilled out water and coffee a lot. Now, o had steak and eggs which I live but at $28 for breakfast with coffee and extra $1.50 charge for feta on my scrambled eggs it was a $40 breakfast way too much, the irony is the food is good.
