This hotel presents itself as a luxury, five-star property, but the actual experience fell far short of that expectation. At check-in, we were told we had received a complimentary room upgrade, only to later discover an unexpected $245 charge on our bill. While I did eventually have to dispute this to receive a refund, it was an unnecessary and frustrating issue that should never have occurred. Especially since I was told at checkout the fee was just on their end. ||Parking was another major inconvenience. Valet service costs $60 per night, yet retrieving the car routinely took 30 minutes or more, which is unacceptable at that price point. Valet were running in circles, couldn’t find peoples keys and even let a runaway bell cart hit someone. ||I know the hotel just opened, but theroom itself had several problems also. The toilet made loud, ongoing noises whenever someone else in the hotel flushed, and the nearby street noise made it extremely difficult to sleep. Thankfully we only stayed 1 night. ||Most disappointing was the level of service. Staff appeared poorly trained in hospitality and often seemed “nonchalant”. When asked questions, they seemed panicked and dumbfounded. This further diminished the experience.||Overall, we were excited to stay at the hotel since it just opened. Wanting to check out a property that was new and exciting. But this hotel had a five-star appearance and delivered a one-star experience. We saw the prices increase in January to $500-$800/nt… let’s just say we will not be staying here again nor wouldI recommend it to those expecting true luxury or attentive service.
