We recently had a wonderful stay, and I recommend the Omni Ballpark. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our visit. The venue itself was clean and exceptionally well-maintained, which always makes for a more comfortable experience.||We particularly enjoyed the poolside area, which was a lot of fun and a great spot to relax. For those who like to keep active, the fitness center was also clean, in perfect working order, and offered plenty of machines to choose from—a big plus!||A Note on the Food||The food was a bit of a mixed experience. The morning coffee and breakfast were absolutely wonderful; a fantastic start to the day. However, the food we ordered at the pool and the dessert we had in the restaurant did not seem fresh and tasted as if they had been reheated.||And of course, the location in the vibrant Gaslamp District was absolutely perfect. We loved being able to easily walk to all the nearby attractions, restaurants, and entertainment. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'd happily return!

I love staying at Omni hotels and this location didn't disappoint! Drove an hour away from home to experience staying here for the Dodgers - Padres game. Took about 5 minutes to get from inside the lobby of the hotel to the private stadium entrance. This is the place to stay for a baseball game! Front staff was very pleasant. We got a corner room with an expansive view. Room was clean and well designed. The bed was very comfortable and best pillows ever. Only thing it was missing was some little tolietry items I use like a shower cap and bathmat for inside the tub shower. With gel wash, the tub gets very slippery. For safety reasons, I wished the shampoo and conditioner was in separate bottles, along with having wrapped bar soap. The fitness center was really nice. The pool area for drinks as well. We did self park at the garage across the street for $25 a day since we didn't need in and out privileges. This is the place to stay for a ballgame!! |

Everyone at the Omni was polite and friendly. It was great to see staff who were there last year who recognised us. Valet and checking in was simply and fast. All costs and fees were explained and kept simple. Vouchers for coffee shop and bar area were generous. The hotel was of an excellent standard as usual. Pool area and gym was well maintained and clean. Hotel felt very secure with security visible and lobby area was comfortable to be in even in the early hours. Over all the Omni was a pleasant stay and great location for the downtown Gaslamp district and baseball stadium. The bridge directly in to Petco Park was very handy avoiding the crowds leaving the game and some rooms even get a great view of the game. Would definitely recommend and will visit again next year.

Google
friendly staff, beautiful views, and a paradise of a pool lounge. Not only is the location extremely ideal, but the hotel itself is very well maintained. Food and drinks were fantastic, too. Shoutout to Monty, DJ & Carlynn for making my stay so great!

Google
We had an amazing experience and unforgettable stay. The view was world class ballpark, ocean and city all in one. We got to walk into the ballpark through a VIP entrance. The gym was clean and hot tub relaxing. The staff was helpful and friendly I recommend it 5 stars!

The Omni was convenient and a comfortable, classy hotel. Enjoyed our experience… the staff were helpful. Chris especially, when he provided juice after I explained late at night my wife was diabetic and she needed it for her glucose levels.

I had a wonderful experience with the Omni San Diego at the Ballpark team. My wife was traveling for work and I wanted to surprise her for our anniversary. Shraddha at the concierge desk, along with the Omni team, went above and beyond to help me pull off a thoughtful surprise. They arranged a personalized card and hand-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries, which made her stay extra special. Thank you to Shraddha and the Omni team for helping make our anniversary memorable!

Google
Decent hotel, but would recommend choosing the best room possible. We chose a corner suite with a balcony, but even that room could have been improved. Loud from the train, paint chipping, no chairs for the balcony, etc. They only offer valet parking, however there is cheaper parking directly across the street. Property was clean but downtown is not.

Yelp
We attended the SD County Lodging Assn (SDCLA) Golden Key Awards here. It was nice to be able to see how beautifully designed the hotel registration area and lobby are. The furniture in the hotel lobby and foyer sitting areas is very gauche, and stylish. We were guided by super cute well lit signs to the upstairs venue for the event. The escalators provide a view through a wall of windows to the SD Padres Ballpark entrance and the downtown street happenings and city scenery. When we arrived the event check in was alphabetically organized. Each of the professional staff members checking guests into the event had smiles on their faces. This was impressive to have the warm welcome. Later, I found out that Omni was the Host Hotel and so it made sense that the staff was so kind and courteous. The Cocktail Hour was great. The Omni Bartending Staff was on point. I was served by JC (Juan Carlos) and he was super customer service oriented and a great bartender. The tray passed Hors d'Oeuvres was all yummy: Beef Sliders, Chorizo MacNCheese Balls, Skewers, etc. They had a cool green screen photographer setup and the background was dazzling! I appreciated that they did tray passed food for a LONG time and they were very generous with that. I enjoyed the "Tangerine Dream" cocktail by the Snake Oil Beverage Company. This bartending company won one of the Golden Key Awards later in the evening; and they deserved it totally. My Tangerine Dream was AWESOME! Dinner was delicious. The setup of the dining room and stage for the awards was nice. I loved the led light graphics on the walls and ceiling. It added "pop" to the ambiance. The dessert was a reception event where they served: petit fours cakes, brownies, cheesecakes, and pies, mini mousse parfaits, fruit, etc. The setups were beautiful. Again, Omni had plenty of refreshed stations, and never running out of the goods. I appreciated that Omni Hotel Downtown hosted and Matt, the in charge guy, and his staff did an AWESOME job hosting. This event made me even more respectful of the Hospitality and Lodging Professionals that I know. Excellent work!

Yelp
The location is fantastic in the heart of the gaslamp district. If you want to catch a baseball game, there is a sky bridge connecting the hotel to Petco Park, which makes it very convenient. The hotel offers great Bay views, and the beds are really comfortable.

Yelp
Omni hotel in downtown San Diego is the must stay hotel if 1. You want a prime location in the city, 2. Want to enjoy bar hoping and dining in the Gaslamp are or 3. Have any kind of event / game to attend at Petco Park. This hotel was a total 5 star stay and I was super impressed with everything from the location, to the amenities, the staff, and the rooms. If I was in this area of San Diego I would look no further than staying here at the Omni because it was a lovely stay and convenient for our plans. Location is everything! Prime location here in the city. So many restaurants and bars were within walking distance. Like literally 5 minute walks. Located near the convention center. Also it took us 5 minutes to go from our hotel into Petco park for a concert. Like how unreal, cool and insane is that? Omni was also only a 15 minute uber ride to downtown San Diego if you also want to do some tourist stuff or to get away from the heart of the city. Remember, you are located downtown so it does get loud around the hotel and outside your window, but if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of the city then this is your place. The staff were lovely here. Check in was an absolute breeze and they even allowed us to check in a few hours early. I was grateful - nothing better than that. Valet staff were nice and they hustled, despite being busy we never waited long for our vehicle. You really don't have any other option then to garage you vehicle with them as there isn't overnight or long hour street parking etc. It was $65 a night to park with them, pretty standard nowadays. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. No issues with the rooms. House cleaning was on it. Bathrooms were clean also. The amenities were great here. They have a private rooftop bar and pool which we visited everyday. They also have an interior lobby level bar which looked fun but was small so it was always busy. They have a nice little restaurant downstairs also that we enjoyed and ate in our first night. Lastly, they have a pretty nice indoor gym here - I used it and was impressed. Hotels can be hard, especially when you are just trying to gauge online for a place you've never been but I'm happy to report this hotel is a good one. I would stay here again in a heartbreak. Great staff, clean rooms, and a stellar location.

Yelp
I stayed here back in 2023 and visited a few times this year meeting with others. From what I can tell this is the best hotel if you're going to the conference center across the street. I wish I would have stayed here after trying the Hyatt last week.

Yelp
Overall the stay was nice. My only real complaint was how filthy the shower was. There was mold built up so badly that it could not have possibly been cleaned in the past 6-8 months. I was able to scrape it off with my fingernail. In fact it wiped off with a washcloth proving nobody had touched it in a very long time. The manager at the front desk was nice but offered us free drink cards. This room was $1500 and expecting it to be clean seems reasonable. I reached out to the corporate office and got no response. I guess it's not important to them either.

Yelp
Stayed here for a couple nights and had a wonderful experience; got to shout out to Shelby, who went above and beyond for our stay. I mentioned it's my husband bday the next day while checking in and she sent us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room in the evening. The location is across from convention center and next to the petco park. They even have their own direct access to the park. If you happened to go to the game or show there, this hotel will be perfect. A short walk, you will see some restaurants. The hotel has a little cafe and a bar/restaurant. They also have a pool/jacuzzi overlooking the convention center. It's very well layout pool area. Fitness center is also located at the same floor and it's pretty well equipped. Room was spacious and clean; looks like they did some upgrades at the room but hoping they could have added more details like the old closet door and bathroom sliding doors could be replaced. The shower is pretty outdated and they should added automatic blinds in the room....other than that, I think the room and the view of our room were still great.

Yelp
What a great hotel! Located across the street from Petco ballpark and just a block or two to Gaslamp district which is full of restaurants, bars, historic buildings.. you name it. Staff is very professional and the lobby is kept very clean and free from any homeless folks. Short walk to Convention Center or seaport village. Can sell out during summer so book early.. I promise you will be glad you stayed here for a San Diego adventure.

Yelp
The quality of the review depends on your room. A year ago we got a lovely king room overlooking the pool, bay and Rady's Shell. This year for the SAME conference we got a room 1/2 the size with a view of a parking lot, where the sliding bathroom door had a 2 INCH gap on BOTH sides of the door to eradicate any sense of privacy. It was so narrow I bruised my arm hitting the thermostat on the way to the bathroom, and the microwave looked like it fell off a trailer on the freeway. Ask about your accommodations before booking!

Yelp
Awesome! So glad we decided to stay for the 4th of July weekend. The bridge to the park is nice and convenient. Breakfast at their restaurant took a very long time. If you have places to be, make sure to get there early. We had to take ours to go. Very clean, kid friendly, food and drinks at the pool were very good. I will definitely be back for future games.

Yelp
I stayed over the Memorial Day weekend for one night, there was mold in the shower room 1117 and the facet to the tub was rusty gross, falling apart and old, some chips on the walls. I love the design but I don't think they are cleaning or maintaining properly, takes away from the aesthetic.

Yelp
Bones and service are good. Under construction so hard to give a high rating. Location to Petco is amazing and staff is very friendly. Coffee bar is great and turns into a bar at night Major construction going on No pool Rooms are being redone So it should be more moderately priced for the lack of amenities for now Plans look awesome though

Yelp
Stayed here for a Padres game and was not disappointed. We are San Diego natives and remember this area before Petco Park was built. It was definitely a treat to walk over the bridge to the game and to see the bay/convention center from our room. The pool deck was nice and comfy. I only wish the bar/restaurant would open sooner than 12pm and the reps who answer the phones could have been nicer. Other than that everybody on site from the bell boy to the front desk was great. Will come stay here again for our next game.

Yelp
One of the worst experience in my life, worst customer hospitality skills. Stayed there 3 nights, 4 days and every single day including our first arrival night had issue after issue. I've encountered many hotel managers that had top tier customer service and hospitality skills. Ryan, you suck. You clearly don't give any shit about the guests and their experience. You don't deserve the title of the job. For one, Asked for housekeeping and they completely forget , when we got back we asked for one again so we had to leave the room to kill time. Came back and tidied our room with dirty ass sheets. Bathroom sink stank like sewers, no hot water. They don't feel bad trust me. You know what I don't understand?? If they made mistakes and us guests speak up about it, why are they feeling some type way? Why are THEY mad? Lol. I don't get it. We paid for a good experience and a good stay. They didn't even want to be of any help for the rest of our stay after we complained. Even treated us like we are making things up. Felt blatantly disrespected.

Yelp
Rhea is absolutely wonderful! She's the sweetest lady and does an incredible job keeping the rooms spotless and comfortable. Every time I came back to my room, it felt fresh, tidy, and thoughtfully cared for. Her attention to detail and kind demeanor truly made my stay at the Omni Hotel feel like home. Thank you, Rhea, for going above and beyond--you're a gem!

Great stay, attentive staff, well designed rooms, good view, enjoyable. Good place to enjoy an evening after Padre win.

Yelp
Stayed here for a friends bday weekend and it was amazing! We were right near the Gaslamp Quarter to do some birthday celebrations. The hotel is newly renovated, the beds are comfy and the rooms are so clean! The bellhop that helped us to our room was so insightful and easy to talk to, he gave us a rundown of our room and its decor. We did try the restaurant in the lobby and it was so good! I ordered the breakfast burrito, it was so delicious I can't even describe it. The fresh guacamole inside it probably won me over and the iced pistachio latte was really good too. Overall a great place to stay if you visit San Diego!

Yelp
I've stayed here more than once and usually have a positive and pleasant experience. Usually clean, close to/or within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and nightlife and even some rooms with a view of Petco Park. They do valet but there's also a Parking structure across the street. It seems like a fairly safe area even though there are homeless people around but they're not as noticeable as in other areas of SD. Here's where it got rough: There's been some remodeling of some parts of the hotel which I don't have a problem with, but during my last stay they decided to turn off the water completely for the entire night and part of the morning and the staff didn't bother to inform us until after we paid and checked in. We reserved staff of time and were doing a late check-in and we were expecting to shower before heading out for dinner and/or before catching an early flight in the morning. Unfortunately, we couldn't even use the toilet or sink, and it was too late to go find another hotel. The staff were completely unfazed by the situation and didn't bother to apologize. The negative star is definitely for the staff's lack of communication and lack of empathy. Ugh, definitely left a bad taste from this experience and am unsure if I'll be back anytime soon or at all. But hey we got a couple free waters

Yelp
Great location close to Gaslamp district. Possible good view of the ocean depending on your room but be aware that the large convention center is between the hotel and the ocean so you may not get a good view anyways. Hotel service was good but compared to the Marriot or the Hyatt (5 mins away), Omni is less luxurious with a much smaller lobby. Our room was good but the A/C was not functioning properly so it was very stuffy and a bit warm inside even when the Termo was showing 65! The hotel is next to the railway so there is decent noise coming through and as such we constantly woke up through the night even with the windows shut. There's a colony of the homeless right next to the hotel so again, I did not necessary liked the positioning of the hotel between the homeless, railroads and in front of the convention center. A big plus though is how close it is to Gaslamp area. Good experience but next time I would prefer the other two hotels.

Yelp
We were guests at ComicCon. The hotel was marvelous, and provided a quality experience despite the circus atmosphere of Comic-Con. Our room was comfortable and clean. The door to the bathroom was a sliding door and not long enough to cover the door! What the heck? The people in the lobby were all courteous, friendly and helpful, and right there when you needed help. We had a delightful waitress helping us in the bar, and she was there again the next day for dinner with our family. A most enjoyable respite from the maddening crowds right outside the hotel's doors. The food was very good, the cocktails delicious and the service friendly and helpful. For two nights our room was comped by Comic Con because we were invited guests. But our third night was on us and yes, we would stay again ... and will look for the option of Omni hotels when we travel.

Charla J.

Yelp
Amazing to be so close to the baseball park. Nice hotel. The hotel was clean and people were very friendly.

Anthony P.

Yelp
Love this hotel. Sits next to Petco park and is perfect for a game day experience /hotel. Hotel was extremely clean and staff were excellent for all the questions we had about the area.

coleen d.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and right next to Petco Park...in fact their own entrance. Lovely public areas, it very loud music all day. Rooms are large and great views. No drawers/bureau which is odd. Food options are iffy.. we did not try Tortuga as it is all outdoors and that day was windy. Ace Porter in the lobby area is good. Excellent drinks and decent food. Doesn't open until 4:00 and the loud lobby music makes it tough to have a conversation. Fres.co is for breakfast and lunch and it is truly awful. Inedible food. Room service for breakfast may or may not have come from same kitchen, but it also was inedible. And they messed up the order. Given that, I would go back. It's beautiful, centrally located, and comfortable. Just don't eat there.
google avatar

Tajuana C.

Yelp
This review is strictly for the restaurant inside Fres.co I had the most amazing hot dog of my life here haha. But seriously the best bun ever, it was a little more oily than I would have wanted it to be but it wasn't to the point it wasn't good. They have Nathan's bacon wrapped hot dog with a signature aioli. So damn fire! I wish I lived closer and would go there just for a hot dog haha. I also love and wish I could give them six stars for their wine menu/prices! Instead of ordering another glass you can choose from 6oz, 9oz, and 12oz for jus a little bit of a price difference. I got pretty lit off the 9oz and we ate outside. It was a super pretty sunny day. If you don't have sunscreen or melanated skin, you might want to avoid the patio during sunny times or don't complain about it/wait to be seated inside. I'm always cold so it was perfect for me! There menu does need more items tho. I can't stand lil menus haha like what... this is all you got for me They also didn't have an exclusive Comic Con menu that their marketing team should be allover that. Also offering a Comic Con special would make a lot of sense.

Yelp
We went here for my husband's annual work Christmas party. There are plenty of places to go or walk to in the area and I have to tell you we all did. Bars, restaurants, clubs, and so forth. There is even a bar in the lover level of the hotel. There was about 30 of us in our party and we filled up the bar pretty quickly. They do frown upon bringing your own alcohol into the bar ( not surprising) but they don't mind if you drink it outside of the bar literally two feet away from the bars entrance. The sweets were clean and well stocked and everything about the hotel was clean. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Happy New Year's, fellow Yelpers!! For my first review of 2024, I wanted to review Omni San Diego, where I went during the holidays. I was in San Diego for a quick getaway. First, I will say that valet parking is here is very expensive (60-70?), but the valet person told me that I could park across the street. Since I did not have tons of luggage, I opted for self park, which was a fraction of the price (I paid about $25). I would make sure to lock up your car, there are a lot of people wandering around since it is near gaslamp and convention center. My check-in was a breeze, the front desk was super nice and got me a super good room with a view of the convention center. The room itself was OK. I know they just renovated, but my room felt a little old and there seemed to be some signs of renovations that I saw in the bathroom, but nothing too major. The room was clean. I also forgot some toiletries, which they provided at the front desk. The only minor complaint that I had was that they were renovating their pool. I wished this was mentioned when I booked because I really wanted to use their pool facilities. They did have an option where they allowed us to use other hotel pools, which was a little inconvenient, but I did manage to walk over to the Marriott pool. I would give the room 3.5 stars, which I am bumping up to 4 because the service and location was great. I would definitely love to come back here when they have the pool up and running to see if that changes my review.

Sheba I.

Yelp
I have stayed in most of the hotels in the Gaslamp and the Omni has provided by far the best experience. From checkin to departure the service and accommodation was top tier. The staff was very accommodating and gracious. The room was clean, up-to-date, and modern. This is our new go to hotel while in the Gaslamp or Marina area.
google avatar

Alan N.

Yelp
Very busy hotel. Big rooms but you can definitely tell it goes through a ton of usage. Walls are thin. Neighbors woke me up on their conference call. No fridge for food. Just beverage cooler. Gym is packed in the morning for business ppl. Sign up on their loyalty program. They give you drink vouchers
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
We stayed at the Omni for Comic-Con last week. It was our haven for a hectic 4 days. Our room was comfortable, the amenities were good. And the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The restaurant was very good, and the bars provided decent pours. $65 a day for valet parking is a bit much. But that's convention prices for you. All things considered, we'd return if we were conventioneering again in Downtown San Diego!

Yelp
Worst hotel EVER!!! Would give a zero stars if I could. This is not a premier hotel. They are worse than a motel. First off there are major plumbing issues within the hotel....on first arrival the bathroom sink had the whole restroom smelling like poo and sewage. It is right next next to the train tracks so goodluck getting some good sleep.. Also we stayed there 3 nights 4 days with no hot bath water. This was the biggest issue. The technician (older filipino gentleman with glasses) was unable to fix the issue and they had no other rooms. (He says the laundry machines suck all the hot water and this wasnt a first) The manager RYANN BERNAL (female manager) first said she'd waive a night for the inconvenience but after he couldnt fix the issue she said she would waive our trip because she had no other options for us so we had to take cold showers the whole trip. Next morning we go to the desk and they said she denied ever saying that lol. That was only two of the issues. We asked for housekeeping and after coming back in the evening the rooms was still a mess so we requested again and we had to leave again. After coming back there were food stains on the pillows and blankets (they gave us dirty sheets) they didnt even replace simple kleenex boxes or cups...We even ordered delivery and the front desk lady named Diana refused to bring it up saying she had no workers and said it would take 20 minutes so we had to go grab it downstairs in our pajamas. When we get there there are 3 workers chit chatting and our food just sitting there.... Overall we were looking to have a nice long stay at a PREMIER hotel ( that charges premier rates btw) but there is nothing premier or luxury about this hotel. Im not sure what type of staff this hotel hires it was just an overall horrible experience!! We might as well just stay at the holiday inn. At checkout a gentleman named Julius Tavares gave us a long speech about how he'd take care of us and try to resolve all the issues and bad experiences we had because there was no manager on site (coincidentally) and would call us that afternoon with an update. There was no call from him or anyone from that hotel. They pretty much charged us over $1303 for 4 days and 3 nights with no running hot water lol. No one tried to help or had any concern for our bad experience- just the runaround. Save yourself the headache and learn from our experience and stay elsewhere trust me!!

Yelp
This is the absolute greatest hotel downtown. Overlooks the bay, spectacular views, even better staff. The best part? Connects to Petco Park - with a bridge that gets you in and out of the games quickly. Absolutely spectacular!

Yelp
I travel for business and have stayed at the Omni in Kentucky which I loved so when I was going to a concert in San Diego I decided to stay at the Omni. I was greeted by Ryan at the front desk and she was very pleasant and friendly. She smiled a lot and was engaging. She put me at ease after a long drive. It's so important to see a friendly face when you first come in that is able to give you all the information you need quickly. We stayed in room 613 which had great views; even though we were not on a higher floor. The room was impeccable and tastefully designed. Beds were very comfortable. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this was by far the cleanest. It smelled great. It did not disappoint. I did hear a dog bark a couple of times on our last night which wasn't great and the noise from the nightlife down below filters into the room at all hours but it is only the 6th floor so it is closer to the street. We did find ear plugs in the dresser so that was nice but we just put on sound scapes to get to sleep. The entire hotel was beautiful and well kept. We checked out with Camryn who provided excellent customer service as well. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Yelp
Recently, I visited San Diego for work and stayed at the Omni San Diego. From arrival to check-in, everything was seamless. The rooms are modern and clean, though the AC didn't cool as much as expected despite being set to 60°F. Additionally, the safe in my room did not operate correctly due to a dead battery. The hotel features a downstairs bar and restaurant called ACE PORTER. My initial visit for a quick lunch at the bar was pleasant, though the food options were limited. I ordered the ACE Burger for $19, which was disappointing and reminiscent of greasy patties from Smart & Final. We returned for dinner due to convenience after a long day. Sammy, our server, made the experience exceptional with her attentive service and great recommendations. The chopped salad with steak was fantastic, and the fried pickles, while very salty, weren't horrible. However, I would love to see more IPA and other beer options. Sammy's outstanding service was the reason we returned for a third visit. Keep up the great work, Sammy! One morning, I tried the breakfast burrito at the hotel's café, FRES.CO. It was disappointing, given the price and the fact that it was premade and kept in a hot box. Who puts bell peppers in a breakfast burrito? Overall, I strongly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay during their visit to San Diego. It's a 5-minute walk across the street to the convention center, and if you don't care to experiment with the hotel food options like I did, there are endless dining options within walking distance! The valet service was also amazing.

Yelp
I stayed here a couple of nights ago and found out that they serve Foie Gras?? That's absolutely disgusting, I will never support this business again and neither should you.

Yelp
Amazing. I loved my stay here for a conference at the convention center. It was nicely situated across the street from the meeting. Elevators are fast and the amenities here are fabulous. The texting option made it feel like I had a personal conceirge during my 3 day stay. Thet text you welcome, answer any questions as they come up and give you tips for checking out and the predicted traffic to help you plan. The gym was better than average and had a peloton bike. Hotel is connected to Petco park. Pool has a view of the bay and you can see Coronado bridge. Night life is there if you want it. Gaslamp is across the street (opposite side of convention center) so easy to find places to socialize or get a fancy (or not fancy) meal. Walking distance to a paved path along the bay for a beautiful walk to see the boats and yachts.

Yelp
We loved our view!! Our views from our room were spectacular! You could see everything! We loved that the room had a balcony! The room was very pretty and clean. I loved the grand amount of pillows on the bed! I absolutely love this because you can never have too many pillows. Everything was clean and very well put. The pool and jacuzzi area was bigger than the Hard Rock where we stayed at a few weeks ago. The view from the pool was very pretty. We spoke to the concierge of anything we could go see since we had plans to go to the beach and he gave us a few options. He was very friendly and helpful. We will come back here since we absolutely loved this hotel better.

Yelp
We try to stay here a while ago and it was a horrible experience! I book online via Hotels.com around 1am and prepaid, and when we arrive at the hotel they said they didn't have a record of my reservation and they try to get me to cancel the hotels.com reservation and rebook with them directly but they wanted to charge me almost double the rate cost! This was all happening around 2am it was just horrible!

Yelp
Staff is lovely, amenities like the pool and hot tub Re fantastic and very relaxing. Location is great if you're catching a game at Petco or exploring nearby Gaslamp and Little Italy areas. Beyond that this hotel is nothing special just your typical mid corporate hotel chain. Rooms are dates and a tad tun down but nothing horrible. The worst part is really the bathroom setup. There is absolutely NO PRIVACY. Yes you can close the weird rolling faux shutter doors but there will be a gap on either side. Also if you have one of the larger bathrooms they put useless shutter panels on the walls as well so every little sound will be heard throughout the room. Same goes for dispersal of smells from the bathroom. I'm not a particularly bashful person but it's too much for even me so would really only stay here if traveling solo. Also the walls in between rooms are insanely thin. One morning the people next door were talking in a perfectly reasonable level but still heard every word. We were lucky not to be next door to any partiers. Last the valet parking is an outrageous $50/night. Parked across the street instead it was very easy and half the cost for 2 nights. Just know that option might be limited on a Padres game day.

Yelp
The Omni is an upscale hotel directly connected to Petco Park and across the street from the convention center. Omni guests and Visitors of Petco park can access a sky bridge to gain access to Petco on their main concourse. It's a very nice convenience. The pool is located on a lower roof top over looking harbor drive. It's a rectangular pool with lots of pool space but room to lay out on a chase is limited on hot days. The lobby is a little small as well but only noticeable on very busy days. The rooms were very clean and our junior suite was very roomy. The balcony overlooked Coronado. It was a great view with ocean breezes. Service staff here was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay again in the future. It's a very good hotel.

Yelp
Not a good experience. Stains were found on the pillows and the bathroom was smelling horrible. There's a lot of road noise also coming in so I would highly recommend people to stay at other better rated hotels.

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and stayed at this hotel in one of the corner suites. Overall the hotel is a great hotel, room service was wonderful and our room was spacious. We were greeted by the bellhop, valet and the front desk every time we were in their vicinity. Valet were nice and hospitable and we were always offered water when in contact with anyone from the hotel. Valet is about 55/day as of 2022. There is a coffee shop and a lounge/bar that my husband and I would frequent or order from during our stay. Massage: We also took advantage of the on-site massage therapy service. We booked an 80 minute aromatherapy couples massage. Both body care specialists were professional and asked us about any specific areas we wanted them to focus on. They got to know our specifics and concentrated on those areas. Honestly, probably one of the best massages I've had to date! The room that we were in was warm and tranquil. The massage tables were heated and the used lavender and eucalyptus essential oils. Reservations are required for massages. Room: Overall the room was a 4/5. The corner suite has amazing views! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with amenities such as a hair dryer, soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. It was also stocked with fluffy white towels. The only gripe I have is that the furniture had some wear to it, for an Omni hotel I was pretty surprised. Also, some shelves in the bathroom were dusty. The sliding glass door did have small hand prints so it looks like there was not attention to detail as I've seen in other Omni hotels that I've stayed at. Service: 5/5 all of the employees we came in contact with were extremely nice and we were always greeted with a smile. Overall, if you want to stay literally right by the Petco Stadium and near all the good food this is the place to be. You are walking distance from so many good spots and service is wonderful here. We will be back soon.

Yelp
What can I say. I live in Florida and I've been to the Florida location twice for events so I was super excited when I got to stay a couple of nights in San Diego. Everything was perfect and personalized. I love the Omni hotel and I know they're more expensive than everyone else but it's so worth it. The bed is comfortable, the food was okay, the service was great, the bathroom and room was clean always. Everything was perfect

Yelp
After half a day wasted at the airport due to Southwest delays, flight cancellations and baggage chaos, my family and I ended up driving all the way from the Bay Area to San Diego. I called the front desk to ensure our reservation would not be given away since our check-in time was going to be at 2am! Luckily I did so because they would've marked us as "no-shows" and charged me for one night. When we arrived, the lobby doors were locked so unregistered guests aren't free to roam around the property. We checked in without issues, and I proceeded to park my car in the garage across the street (which is not affiliated with the hotel). Upon coming back and heading up to my room, there was a couple who snuck in and clearly were not registered guests (very disheveled, dirty clothes, under the influence, no room card keys). They basically followed my husband and I up to our floor and tried to make small talk. We got off our floor and luckily they walked down the opposite hallway. We were pretty concerned after I started hearing them knocking on room doors, asking if their friend was in there. So my husband and I alerted the front desk, who informed security immediately. The next day I got a call in our room apologizing for that experience and an offer to credit us $75 towards our stay. Better than nothing, I suppose. Other than that, our stay at the Omni was pretty awesome since the Oregon marching band were there for the Holiday Bowl Game. The vibe was very cool, and the view from the pool is beautiful. We enjoyed the lunch options and also received three complimentary drink vouchers, wifi and late checkout at 1pm for joining the loyalty program. Other than that strange encounter our first night, I would stay at the Omni in San Diego again.

Yelp
In town for the Dodgers Vs Padres game. We booked an air b&b in South Park and absolutely hated it. It's old, cringey , outdated and at 38yrs old I want comfort. We booked The Omni Sunday into Monday. 12th floor and have amazing views of the city and water. Room is spacious , clean, updated and comfortable BIG bed. CLEAN UPDATED BATHROOMS, which is really important to me. From the minute you walk in the hotel staff is ON IT. Great customer service. I shall be back! Shout out to Natalie (front desk) for her being attentive , chatty and hooking us with a great room. David our bellmen was also amazing and so helpful. Great customer service is key to people coming back and I can't wait to stay here again.

Yelp
The staff were absolutely amazing! Very attentive and super friendly, especially if you're traveling with your fur babies. We brought our 2 year old corgi with us and the staff were just as obsessed with her as we are. Removing one star because although we enjoyed our stay, our room was a little grimey. There were dirt streaks on the light fixtures and walls in the bathroom and we found a dirty wash rag under the trash bin. It was also extremely warm and humid in our room. We turned down the AC but the air was so weak, it took quite awhile for the room to cool down. Honorable mention is valet. I planned a lot activities outside of the city, so I used valet several times. There was one valet named Adrian who was super awesome though. He parked and retrieved my car most of our stay and was able to have my car parked and ready for us to load up when we checked out. Thanks Adrian!

Yelp
This my first time staying at the Omni for a convention next door and the location has been very convenient. The surrounding area with bars and the baseball stadium, have also been a lively change for me and I have truly enjoyed that part. Within the hotel I've run into something I would not have expected from a "high-end" hotel which are the paper thin walls... we stayed on the 16th floor, so we didn't have issues with outside noise, however our rooms next door (under us or above us), became a distraction while sleeping. I woke up to people partying in one room (somewhat low music), someone watching tv very loud, and one night with babies crying and toddlers talking around 4am. Be aware. Other than that, the thing that holds this hotel together are the hotel cleaning services, the restaurant staff, the hotel staff front desk and valet. Gym is decent and has weights, yoga balls, bikes, etc. The pool is fairly small but fresh. The view from the pool is incredible. If it weren't for these people and views, I would probably opt for a different place.

Yelp
Spent the weekend here for my anniversary with my s/o. The hotel staff were kind, caring, and did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our time. In fact, so well that we now refuse to stay elsewhere when in SD. Location was 10/10, less than a 20min walk anywhere in Gaslamp and had a short walk home. Gaslamp is kinda sketchy, saw multiple fights in 1 night. Not a ding to the hotel but keep your cool and stay on alert, we never felt unsafe / had any personal encounters. The hotel is the only US hotel connected to a major stadium. When the Padres or other events are in town there's a bridge connected directly to the hotel, avoid the long lines and avoid the sketchy streets. Rooms were spacious, clean, mini fridge under the large screen tv. Best part was the airplay functionality. Was able to leave my speaker and iPad at home and stream directly to the tv for movies / music. This does not go unnoticed by a tech geek by me and should be a hotel standard. Only "negative" was the construction, noise was pretty loud till 5pm but didn't matter with the gorgeous views. I believe construction will go on till spring, can't wait to see it complete!

Yelp
Honestly, it's a nice hotel. It's right next to Petco so if you are into baseball how can you go wrong? This review would have went 100% different but they closed the pool for a pool light that's burned out. No offer of any refund or comp due to an amenity not offered. Guess the pool guy took a night off. Oh well, they said to go to the Hard Rock or Hilton to enjoy their working pools instead. Guess that means I'll stay there next time!

Yelp
I was really excited to stay at Omni downtown San Diego for a couple of nights. We choose to stay there so it would be convenient to see the Padres game. The room we stayed in on the 18th floor had a nice view of the bay, but the quality of the room was shockingly bad. We did arrive super early at 9am and they let us check in early, they have nice customer service, but that's where the "good" stops. The owner of this hotel has delayed capital improvements for many many years. Maybe they will be selling it shortly and are being cheap on repairs and maintenance. The shower faucet would never turn off....ever. Even with 30 lbs pressure, it still wouldn't stop. The bathroom has lots of broken grout, scuffed up wood, calcified faucets (both the bathroom sink & the shower faucet). The bathroom door handle is loose and wobbles when you open or close it. The bathroom mirror has backing that has been coming off for likely years. That doesn't happen in a month or two. The carpet transition to the bathroom has missing pieces, and the room had an empty water bottle in it between the bed and the wall when we checked in. On top of this, they charge a resort fee of $30/night. Wake up call, nothing about this hotel is a "resort". Resorts have amenities. This is just a regular hotel without any amenities at all. At $419/night, you could choose pretty much any hotel in downtown San Diego, pay a lot less and get much better value. I would never stay here again. Photos of all commentary is attached so in case they, the hotel, try to claim otherwise in a response, pictures are worth a thousand words.

Yelp
We loved our stay overnight at the Omni SD. We were in town for a Thanksgiving Do Over party at a friend's house. The Omni was perfect for our stay: great views of the harbor; friendly staff; comfortable, clean, large hotel room. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens, comfy mattress and pillows. It was very quiet and dark there (with room darkening shades), and we got a lot of quality sleep. The bartender was especially nice and friendly. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. This is an absolutely perfect place to stay if you are going to a ball game, btw - the park is right there!!!
