"At the Walnut Village location in Irvine, their homemade ice cream is available, though that item is not yet being served at the new San Diego store." - Helen I. Hwang

OMOMO TEA SHOPPE

Google
Best boba shop in the world. Drinks are crafted to perfection and staff are good. I go here around 3 times a week because it is so good. The only setback is that the popularity of this place has caused the line to be long. If you go on the right day at the right time, there will be little or even no line. Must go

Google
Ok im impressed. We found this spot by chance since we're in the area. Was surprised to see a huge line but man it was worth it. Quality of the drink is amazing and a perfect amount of flavor and tea. The bobas are literally glossy and a texture ive never tasted in my mouth. I got the lemon black tea under the fruit teas section because I was sick and it really hit. My partner loved her drink as well. Also its not overwhelming with ice so you get less drink. It feels like I have double the drink because they dont use ice (at least in mine) and it gave me quantity and quality! My fav spot in OC now.

RECOMMEND: Omomo Matcha Got their Omomo Matcha, very good. Very busy even on a weekend night because of how busy the whole plaza is, so make sure to have enough time. Waited around 10 minutes for the drinks, quite fast for how many people they had. Inside was nice too but no self order kiosk and seating is limited. Reviewed 10/06/2025

Saw the super long line of Asians and immediately recognized this as the famous boba spot everyone always talks about. My friend and I waited almost an hour ‼️ in line to try it. He got the Super Lemon Black Tea, which was just alright. We were surprised that the drink was so sour and concentrated — The color was really dark and it didn't taste like there was ice in it (maybe melted?). The liquid was filled to the brim and spilled almost immediately after I took my first sip. To contrast, the Avocado Smash drink was delicious, sweet, and smooth. The frozen strawberry bits at the bottom were a refreshing surprise. Despite the super long wait time (afternoon), this was a good experience. If given the chance, I would love to try more of Omomo's signature drinks!

Google
Best boba tea we've ever had. We go here every time we are in the Irvine area and it seems to get better wvery time. Come prepared to wait in line for a bit because a lot of other people like it too. It's worth it!

Google
This is a solid spot for tea lovers with a cozy, stylish interior and a popular vibe - there’s usually a line, but they work fast, and there are a few benches inside to wait comfortably. The atmosphere definitely adds to the experience. Their menu includes a variety of cream-topped teas, milk teas, coffee drinks, smoothies, and fresh teas, with most drinks ranging from $4.50 to $6.95. There's also a nice selection of unique items like tiramisu foam toppings and creative seasonal specials. That said, I do wish they had more variety in their fruit tea options. Right now, the choices are mostly limited to strawberry, lemon, orange, and grapefruit, it’d be great to see more seasonal or tropical fruit flavors in the mix. Another thing to note: this is one of those places where the boba itself isn’t sweet. Personally, I found that 50% sweetness in the strawberry boba tea wasn't enough when I wanted something on the lighter but still “classic” sweet side - I’d recommend going with at least 80% sweetness for better balance. Also, the boba pearls are served hot and tend to be a bit bland compared to others I’ve had elsewhere. Overall though, it’s a nice place to treat yourself, but honestly, it’s not worth waiting in line for 40 minutes or making a special trip just to come here. Maybe - just maybe - for the tiramisu topping, which is pretty unique and tasty. Otherwise, it’s a nice place if you’re nearby, but not a must-visit. I am attaching their digital version of the menu for the future.

Google
Hands Down the Best Matcha Ever! 🌿💚 Omomo Tea in LA is next level! I’ve tried matcha from all over, but their green tea matcha is by far the best I’ve ever had. It’s rich, smooth, and full of flavor clearly made with high-quality ingredients. What really took it over the top for me was the cheese foam it adds the perfect salty creamy balance that beautifully complements the matcha. So good! And let’s talk about the boba, it is unbelievably soft and chewy, just how it should be. You can tell everything is freshly made and thoughtfully crafted. It even looks like the matcha is blended, not just shaken, which gives it a super smooth texture. The shop itself has a clean, modern vibe, and the staff were super friendly and efficient. If you’re a matcha lover (or even if you’re not), this place is a must try. We seriously hope they franchise in Canada. I’d be first in line to open one! 😁 That’s how much we loved it. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Me and my boyfriend just left and I haven’t even tasted the drink but for some reason when the guy was calling orders and handing people their drinks, he asked my boyfriend for the ticket but hadn’t asked anyone previously for their ticket. All the customers were asian as well as him and we are hispanic so it was very weird to me that only he got asked for the ticket number? It made my boyfriend uncomfortable so we will not be returning.

Yelp
It's the OG boba shop in Irvine for a reason! Their specials and their cream/tiramisu foam top are divine. Boba also tastes fresh and chewy. I ordered the Ceylon black tea with half sugar, less ice, and tiramisu foam top. 10/10 would come back again!!

Yelp
Tbh I'm glad it was raining the day I went here! It made the lines shorter than other days. Obviously, when I come here, I have to get the Omomo Matcha. It's a delicious matcha blended drink with that swirly goodness in the cup! The sweetness was 50% and perfect for me. Personally, if it gets lower than 50%, the matcha starts tasting bitter to me. This is one of my favorite places to stop by in SoCal! I can't seem to find a place in the Bay Area that can make a blended matcha drink like this one.

Yelp
What can I say?! I bring all my guests here for boba, dessert, a little treat--or honestly, just because. This place is truly one of a kind. Even when I try other spots with similar menus, nothing ever compares. Omomo is just different--in the best way. The best times to go are right after work around 4:30/5ish, or closer to closing time. Four stars only because the drinks can take a really long time to make, even though there are plenty of staff working. Lines can get pretty long on the weekends from morning until night. If you haven't been, you have to try it. It never disappoints.
google avatar

Ena C.

Yelp
There is always a wait for Omomo. It is good boba but I think there are just as good of places that you do not need to wait for. The line sometimes can get to 30 mins so I think that alone for boba makes it not worth it. The drinks alone are good. I usually get one of the cheese foams with a green tea or a four season tea. It is an irvine stable though, so if you want to try an irvine specific boba Omomo would probably be the one.
google avatar

Jaylene L.

Yelp
I ordered the matcha drink at 30% sugar level and it was on point - smooth, well - balanced, no grainy texture you sometimes get from matcha powder. However, the strawberry Yakut tastes a bit blend in comparison and could use a stronger flavor. The line tends to be constantly long, and as far as I can tell, there isn't option to order ahead, which makes the wait feel even longer.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
Omomo Tea: 9/10 Always delicious, always a line. This place has some of the better boba in the area, but it's so good there's always a wait. Service: 8/10 quick and straight to the point you might wait a little while depending how long the line is. Green milk tea: 9/10 delicious, earthy and perfect amount of sweetness. (20%) boba perfect consistency too
google avatar

Dominic N.

Yelp
I loved: Green Milk Tea Omomo really does live up to the hype when it comes to quality. The green milk tea tastes clean, rich, and has this smooth matcha-like depth without being overly sweet. It feels higher quality than what most other boba spots offer and you can taste it in every sip. The boba itself has that perfect chewy texture which makes the drink feel even more premium. The only catch is timing. If there is no line, it is absolutely worth it and feels like an easy favorite. But when Omomo gets busy, it gets busy. There are days where people wait close to an hour and at that point it makes you second guess your choices in life. But when the stars align and the wait is short, it hits just right. Service is quick and friendly once you get to the front. The shop has a simple, clean vibe and it is clearly a local favorite because it is almost always packed. If you catch it on a good day, it is one of the best milk tea spots in Irvine.

Yelp
This is the kind of place that I take all my friends who are visiting OC to. Quite literally the model boba chain in the area. Amazing consistency in their drinks and great seasonal options round out a pretty impressive menu. I will say, the line snaking outside the store can be intimidating, but the staff do a great job of getting orders out quickly without losing any quality! Small interior, so I like to sit outside or take it to-go.
google avatar

Enrique D.

Yelp
From the outside, it looks artsy and clean. Same compound as trader joe's. There is parking but could fill up fast. Me and the fiancé were intrigued so we tried it out. Quick in and out. Order at the counter and they give you a number. You basically pay via card only/ no cash. Went with an oreo brûlée with boba and green tea. Pretty flavorful. She, on the other hand, got the taro. I took a sip and it was spot on. No lines on a Monday evening but did have a lot of guests. Quick and easy. A little pricey... 15 dollars with tip for 2 drinks...

Yelp
This place is still one of my favorite places to get a matcha drink. My go to is their Uji Green Milk Tea which has a good balance of matcha with jasmine green tea. If you want a stronger matcha kick, go with the Matcha Cortado. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of their drinks here. From milk tea, to fruit teas, they're all really good! The only downside is there's always a line to get your drink. If you're lucky and the line is short, stop by!
google avatar

Breana L.

Yelp
I wish they had an online ordering system! Their jasmine was really high quality but be prepared to wait if you want to get boba from this spot since it is so popular!
google avatar

Irene L.

Yelp
The drink is delicious and refreshing. The staff here is amazing and service is amicable. The ambiance is casual and line was huge but later it went down.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
OMOMO was just as good as I remember! The last time I visited was in 2020. Since there aren't any locations in NorCal, I was willing to wait on a Monday afternoon at 2 pm, and I think it was worth the 45 minute wait! The wait was mainly to order since there's only one cashier. The boba had the perfect QQ texture, and I love the OMOMO matcha. It was a delicious dessert slushie with strong matcha flavor. The watermelon green tea was refreshing, and the watermelon tasted natural (none of that artificial watermelon flavor!). If watermelon was in season, it might've been a tad sweeter to the perfect sweetness level. OMOMO is a must-visit whenever I'm in SoCal!
google avatar

Yelp
Omomo Tea Shoppe has some of the best drinks I've tried in Irvine. I know, I know, the line is so long, but it's worth the wait. I am not a wait-in-line person so I'd say it says something about these drinks! Once you get inside, there are 3 benches to sit and wait. It's not a big space, but there are seats outside for anyone wanting to stay and enjoy. The team members are always helpful and friendly! They have a points system you can quickly sign up for with your phone number. I got the Omomo Matcha today and it has a really good matcha flavor. I substituted milk for oat milk at 80%. J didn't find it too sweet at all. There's a hint of crème brilee which makes it interesting in a good way. I'm so used to matcha lattes with vanilla and oat milk, I was expecting that but it's a bit more elevated than the usual cold matcha latte.

Yelp
I didn't expect to have an appalling experience at my favorite spot for boba. I've been coming here for over two years now - since my initial review, my go-tos have been exclusively 1) strawberry tornado, and 2) uji green milk tea. Nothing else, because those couldn't be dethroned for me. I've come dozens of times to this location; most recently in August, and the drinks were consistently amazing. Not once were they off. I stopped by because there was only a short line today and ordered the strawberry tornado. When it came out, I had to do a double-take to see if it was my drink, because it practically looked like a milk tea. The boy that handed it to me insisted it was the correct drink, so I initially left it at that. When I put my straw on it, watery cheese foam squirted out. That's fine, I thought surely the slush would be in the middle because why wouldn't it - since they'd never messed it up before, but no. It was essentially that same diluted cheese foam (how?!?) with a hint of strawberry slush. The girl at the register was really understanding when I inquired about it just 2 minutes later, so I stood off to the side when he came to me and condescendingly said "We'll remake your drink as a courtesy, but this is a one-time exception and won't happen again." What? I tried to tell him it was made incorrectly, and there's got to be a mistake because it's never been like this of the dozens of times I ordered, but he interjected each time and even said "It probably melted by the time you got it" (I stood waiting for it + it hadn't even been over 10 minutes). After a minute of back and forth, he passive-aggressively said "Ma'am, we appreciate your loyalty. Now we can argue all day [what!], but the recipe hasn't changed [obviously?!]. That's why we're offering to remake your drink. It's always been made this way [from the way it was perfectly remade afterwards, you had to have known it wasn't]." He quickly took the drink after that, and I tried to ask him to wait so I could take a picture of it, but he ignored me and walked away. When he came back, it was finally made correctly. I just don't even know why he wanted to convince me I was wrong, and that Omomo was doing me a favor just this once; and be rude from the get-go when even he (or someone on the team) knew how to make it properly. If you're seeing all the reviews saying "What's so special about this place? Why is there so much hype when it's just average?" - it's probably because the once-genuinely amazing drinks are being made like this lately. Edit: I'm also seeing the other reviews now where people are having issues w/ their drinks, and even being refused to have remade, so I would technically be considered "lucky." And also they're accusing customers of lying? What on earth? Instead of remaking or distrusting customers off the bat, I wish management would take the time to properly train their hardworking team, so they don't go through the time & hassle of having to rebuff us as well (+ have both parties' day soured). They're already dealing with a fast-paced environment. Tl;dr: please bring our strawberry tornado back - without attempting to gaslight me :(

Yelp
This is an unpopular opinion, but I thought OMOMO was just okay. I tried their matcha, since it was highly recommended. They were out of regular boba when I went, so I added clear boba to my drink. The drink was too sweet for me. I'd still go back here and try out other things or ask to get the sweetness level adjusted.

Yelp
Totally my 2nd fav boba shoppe in OC (go check out my Boba Guys review, for my ultimate first choice)!!! If you haven't tried OMOMO yet, you NEED to. You will become obsessed & addicted like me. I was super stoked that they opened a new location legit down the street from my house ~ in the Walnut Village Center (between Trader Joe's and Stacks pancake house), which could be dangerous. Lol Bummed to find out that their other OG Alton/Jeffrey location closed, but I'm happy to see how they are thriving & expanding to other SoCal cities nearby..that's growth. TBH, while OMOMO isn't my go-to everyday boba joint because I have to be in a mood to crave matcha milk tea (I'm a more passion fruit green tea kind of girl on the daily) it is however, my FIRST choice when I do..HANDS DOWN!!! I always always always have to get the uji green milk tea topped with the caramel brûlée w/ boba ~ 50% sweet + light ice (obvi..so pro tip: you maximize the bang for your buck tea..thank me laters). OMFG..it's heaven in my mouth. Their jasmine milk tea is top-notch, perfectly mixed with premium quality matcha, creates such a yummy & deelish creamy unique flavor. Their boba is always cooked to perfection, with the perfect balance of softness and chewiness. Yums! I have gotten sooo many of my friends hooked just on this one go-to drink of mine. The matcha isn't bitter or chemically powder tasting like other boba shoppes, it's sooo smooth, it should come with a warning. Highly addictive!!! In a good way of course. Lol For those wondering.. I have also tried their oolong milk tea, matcha cortado milk tea, Thai iced milk tea, fruit tornado strawberry, grapefruit green tea, strawberry green tea, and white peach oolong. All of which are good, but just doesn't make me crave boba like my #1 go-to uji green milk tea. The lobby area/inside of the store has a minimalistic & simple, clean vibe with the muted colored decor..but I like it & it works. Still IG pic worthy. The staff are very professional, efficient and friendly. The lines can be like waiting for a Disneyland ride at peak times, so beware..it's THAT good ~ and so, the wait is worth it. I just happen to get lucky when I come and/or I plan to come during off times when the kiddie crowds are still in school, to capitalize in the standard & tolerable 5-10 min wait times. OMOMO is highly recommended by this RxFoodie, so def go check it out and become addicted like ME!

Yelp
There's always a line here because they have good quality chewy boba and many interesting and delicious drink options. Everything from the normal teas to smoothies with cheese foam to matchas. I've always enjoyed their drinks and was happy I tried something new this time with the seasonal drink Itchy Peachy. I tried ordering 30% sweet but the cashier was like it's going to taste more icy, so I decided to go with 50%. It was a little sweeter than I would like but I guess the good thing is it still tasted creamy enough. I sorta wonder if I might have been happier with 30% sweet. Their better drinks including boba cost around $8 which is on the high side but also not that unusual in the Irvine area.
google avatar

Jacquelyn C.

Yelp
Omomo never disappoints! The line here is always long, but it's worth the wait. I typically get the omomo matcha but all their drinks are good and the boba has great texture as well. Despite the long line, once you order your drink comes out relatively quickly.
google avatar

Norma D.

Yelp
When you see everyone standing in a long line you gotta wonder if what they're standing there is worth it! So I had to stop & check it out for myself. I wasn't disappointed. I stood in line for about 20 minutes which wasn't too bad. I ordered the Black Jade Milk Tea at 50% less sweet. It was delicious It's a little pricey but very good. I'm usually not that patient but I had to see for myself what all the hype was about. Now I know Absolutely will go back
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorites boba tea place. Personally my favorite is the osmanthus milk tea with lychee jelly, and aloe vera, 50% sugar and light ice. I order two, one for immediate gratification and the second in the fridge for delayed gratification. Lines can be long with high schoolers and college kids, peppered with old farts such as myself. Patience is a virtue, I stand and stay for my milk tea expressions. Stay good omomo, it's hard to be consistently good, keep up the good work. Thank you and bon appetite
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
Let me just start off by saying, I love boba & I've tried so many places. Omomo is still one of my top boba spots through and through. You can never go wrong with an omomo matcha or oreo brulee green milk tea for your matcha needs. If you're looking for something fruity, I like their avocado smash that comes with strawberries at the bottom or their watermelon green tea that's so refreshing! Milk-tea wise, I love their osmanthus milk tea, which is a perfect mix of light floral taste with creaminess. Lines can be long, yet I would say it's well worth. The line honestly doesn't take as long as it looks. Inside, it can get very crowded on the weekend. But I do appreciate that they have outdoor seating available. Highly recommend coming here if you're a boba fiend!

Rohith V.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and, as expected from the Yelp reviews, was greeted by a line wrapped around the corner. We ended up waiting about 35 minutes in line and another 10 minutes for our drinks to come out. I originally came craving boba but after going down a Yelp rabbit hole, I convinced myself to try their signature Omomo Matcha. My friends got the Mango Tornado and the Oreo Crème Brûlée. I'd give my Omomo Matcha a solid 4/5. It came very sweet (even at 80% sugar), but the texture was light and airy which I really liked. It definitely leaned heavily into the matcha flavor -- there were a few sips with concentrated pearls of matcha that felt a bit too earthy for me, but otherwise it was enjoyable. The Mango Tornado wasn't really my thing -- I didn't love the cheese foam combo -- but I can see how others might like it. The space itself has a really nice minimalist aesthetic and feng shui. Plenty of outdoor seating if you want to hang out after grabbing your drink. Employees were super sweet, helpful, and happy to answer questions about their extensive menu.

Victoria C.

Yelp
I used to come here all the time when I went to UCI, and now that I don't live as close, I don't come as often as I used to, but the drinks are still good! The lines seem to have gotten shorter than what I remember, but they are still quite long. If you don't want to wait, I recommend visiting a different place. I used to get their drinks at 100% during my UCI days, but now I typically get their drinks at 50%. I feel 50% is a good sweetness for me, to have just enough sweetness that it doesn't overpower the drink. I got the Omomo matcha, and it was just as matcha-y as I remember. The drink was creamy, and not too heavy. The matcha flavor was not too bitter, but had a slight earthy taste, which I liked. If you don't really like matcha drinks, their other drinks are also pretty good. I've had most of their fruit teas, yakults, and tornados, so I'd say they are also pretty good. Not much indoor seating for the store as it is mostly just a waiting area. Plus it gets a bit hot/humid as there is jsut so many other people waiting. There are some seats outside where you can sit and hang out with friends. I would say it is worth a try if you are in the area!
google avatar

Adrienne K.

Yelp
Drink was good but for the wait I felt we could have went somewhere that tasted just as good. The place was nicely designed and nice seating area outside. I would recommend but don't come during lunch time.
google avatar

Veda B.

Yelp
I wish I enjoyed omomo more than I did because I really like how cute the store is set up and the vibe but their drinks are not that great. I ordered the taro paste milk and mango tornado. With both drinks, it seemed like the flavor wasn't there. It was unfortunate but I couldn't even drink a fourth of it bc it was so bland. I got my drink 80% sweet because of the reviews but I think I would stick with regular sweetness next time. Overall I was a bit disappointed with the flavor of the drinks.
google avatar

Hailey F.

Yelp
I went there recently on a weekday around 1 p.m. and waited 30 minutes in the sun before finally getting my matcha. Unfortunately, they didn't add any sugar, even though I ordered it with 75% sugar. It was too bitter, and since it was ice blended, I couldn't add any sweetener afterward. I was late for work and didn't have time to get it remade. I know this place is always packed and slow, but it seems like their service quality is really starting to suffer.
google avatar

Catherine Z.

Yelp
Wonderful drinks! We got the strawberry blended drink and a lemon yakult. Super long lines but definitely worth it for the itchy peachy (seasonal drink). We went for it but it had ended just the day prior
google avatar

Crystal W.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't written a review here, it's probably because this place doesn't need one. I've been drinking OMOMO since it was on Alton in 2018? I fell in love with the tornados first. I remember first trying the itchy peachy and I got hooked. My entire family and I would all order for each other because the line is so long. Then they moved to the culver location and the line is equally as long, but quality and everything is the same. I just learned this month to order their signature OMOMO MATCHA. I literally make matcha for my husband and I every morning so I refuse to buy it, but after my cousin showed me this drink, it's THE BEST OF THE BEST. Totally worth the wait for this drink. (Ive switched to jam jamand heytea). I've now fallen back in love with omomo. Darn it lol.
google avatar

Tracy P.

Yelp
Don't get scared by the line! It goes by quicker than it looks. We waited for about 30 mins in line and then 10 mins for our drinks to be ready. Just chatting in line made it go by so quickly. The mango tornado was so good!! I had a sip of the lemon coffee and that was so good!! I will get that next time too. Friendly service!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Pretty solid boba drink! There's was a line when I went and it was right after they opened on a Monday. Very efficient with the line so it wasn't too long. Make sure to keep your receipt because they will verify that it's your drink. I got the strawberry green tea and it wasn't too bad. Should definitely do 100% ice though because anything less than doesn't taste as good.
google avatar

Melanie H.

Yelp
After being discouraged by the long lines at OMOMO, my friends and I finally decided that we would be okay waiting in line. To our pleasant surprise, there was no line on a Saturday at 12:30p. We did see the line grow around 1:30/2p with the after-lunch crowd. I ordered the Omomo Matcha at 80% sugar. I underestimated the combined sugar level of the drink with the brulee cream coated around the cup. I would recommend reducing the sugar level to 50% sugar next time. Regardless, I enjoyed my creamy matcha drink. My friends enjoyed their Taro Paste Fresh Milk and one of the milk teas.
google avatar

Raven R.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I gotta say, I certainly understand the hype. There was a long line which instantly upped my expectations. The place is small but clean, and they have outdoor seating. They have an extensive drink menu with a variety of flavor palettes. We ended up getting an Omomo Matcha and Pineapple Tornado. The wait for thr drink was surprisingly quick, considering how busy they were. Omomo Matcha- This is a classic! Matcha lovers will be happy to know that the base flavor is strong, with enough creaminess to balance it out. Served in a delightful brulee cup. Pineapple Tornado- This was a seasonal flavor so I simply had to try. The pineapple flavor is definitely dominant, with a creamy, coconuty undertone to enhance it. It's sweet and refreshing, definitely a tropical drink!

Yelp
I've heard so much about this boba chain that I had to try it on one of my Irvine visits. While much of the original hype has died down and even though there's multiple locations, this Irvine OMOMO Tea Shoppe was still quite crowded, with my friends and I having to wait more than 30 minutes in line on a weekend afternoon. I tried one of their more popular drinks, their OMOMO Matcha with boba. My friend and I took a couple of pictures in their white/wooden aesthetic boba shop, but we had to sit at an empty table outside to enjoy our drinks due to how crowded it was. Quality matcha taste along with chewy boba! Most of my friends ordered different OMOMO matcha drinks, all with its unique and tasty qualities. I wish I had the stomach to try one of their other popular drinks, because I finally understood what all the hype was about!

Yelp
This place is worth all the hype!! They get sooo packed, even just before closing, but the drinks are worth it and it honestly doesn't feel that long. Itchy Peachy at 50% sweet with b&w boba was sooo good; I don't even think I needed boba with it but i'm glad I got to try it. The strawberry tornado without boba was fantastic!!! Their cheese foam is just so good. The cocoa latte was like a mocha in terms of richness, minus the caffeine. Can't wait to come back to try their matcha!!

Yelp
Take my money! It's delicious! I really enjoyed the Mango stuff from here. I felt like it was very well balanced. The order: mango tornado The good: all the drinks I sampled tasted great! The bad: there's seems like there's a long line. They should do mobile orders

Yelp
A popular boba tea shop in Irvine that came highly recommended to me! Expect long waits. When we arrived on a weekend evening, there was a line out the door! We ordered mango and strawberry tornadoes. Both were flavorful, refreshing, and not too sweet. Of note, parking is very easy, and there are plenty of benches and tables to sit at outside! Perfect spot to enjoy a bubble tea in beautiful California weather!

Yelp
Omomo is a popular boba shop in Irvine. This is my second time here and the drinks were solid. The line was really long as usual. We waited around 20-30 minutes to get in and order. I liked everything I got, so I understand why their store is so crowded. Though I'm not sure if the long wait is worth it every time. * Omomo Matcha 5/5 - This was the perfect combination of matcha and milk. It was sweet, milky, and tasty. I liked this the best out of the three drinks I got. * Strawberry Tornado 5/5 - This was a strawberry smoothie with swirled with cheese foam. I'm not a cheese foam fan so I replaced it with tiramisu foam instead. The drink was nice and sweet. It was a bit thick due to the strawberry smoothie and hard to mix the flavors together. * Watermelon Green Tea 5/5 - This was a very refreshing drink. The watermelon flavor really came through.

Yelp
The green milk tea and mango tornado were very refreshing and delicious; the long wait sucked. But I refuse to drop it from 5 to 4 stars because of the long wait. It's not their fault they make great products lol They do this really cool thing where they line the walls of the cup with part of the drink before they even make the drink. I don't know what it is (depends on the drink) but it makes the entire experience even better! The ambiance is a busy, loud, crowded boba shop so there isn't much seating and you usually just see people sitting down because they are waiting for their drink. Overall, 5 stars and would come back. But mentally prepare yourself for a long wait. At least you know they're popular, and have been popular for years, for a great reason

Yelp
Came in mid-late afternoon and the line was all around the block, as usual. It was also moving very slow. It took about 30 minutes to get to the front of the line, and another 15 to get my drinks. I had the orange Yakut with crystal boba and it was amazing. Full flavor of orange. I asked for 50% sugar but not sure if they forgot, it was very still sweet. Also got some to go and everything was good. Beverages: 5/5 Service: 4/5 They're always so busy, service is just okay.

Yelp
Omomo always has a line and I was feeling lucky that the line on a Thursday afternoon was only perhaps 20 minutes long.... It was! so I got in it and ordered my peach oolong pure tea with aloe. I've tried many of the drinks and they are all good, but when I'm very thirsty like I was in this day, I always go for the pure tea. Be ready to stand in line. Parking can also be difficult during peak hours. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
My sis tried the Camo Thai and I tried the Oreo Creme Brulee Green Milk Tea. The Camo Thai does taste like Thai tea and has creme brulee swirls. Pretty good. The Oreo creme brulee was also good, and you taste more "tea" so I liked it. We came on a Wednesday around 4pm and there was indeed a line in front. After ordering, the wait wasn't bad. They did make the drinks pretty quick.

Yelp
Came again. This time I got the uji matcha. Very strong matcha flavor!! Not sure if it's real ceremonial or what not for all you matcha connoisseurs but the flavor is definitely there. I love b&w boba haha When I came around 2 or 3 the line was pretty long. People trying to beat the heat and grab a refreshing drink. But when I came back around 6 or 7 the line was short! Just gotta time it right. After I ordered a huge line formed. I ordered 6 drinks and they gave me a little bag with reflective material inside. Not sure if it is insulating but it's nice they gave me a bag. I will say one thing they need to work on is labeling the drinks. Especially for big orders. I wasn't able to read the hand writing and there was no label. They seem to use acronyms. The only one I figured out was "am" for angry matcha and "sy" for strawberry yakult.

Yelp
Good lord man, no boba shop is worth waiting in line for 30+ minutes. What is this, Disneyland? And it's not like we are in a boba desert in Irvine. I'm sure there are like 10 other boba shops in a 2 mile radius. I get that there's not THAT much to do in Irvine, but c'mon guys. Anyway, yes, the drinks are really good. I won't take that away from them. My personal favorite is the Uji Green Milk Tea, which is a nice combo of matcha and jasmine milk tea. I've also enjoyed itchy peachy and the watermelon green tea. The matcha creamomo is great too. The only drink I was quite disappointed with is the Taro Paste Fresh Milk. It just tastes like straight milk. Who likes this? So yea, if you have time to kill and craving a delicious boba drink, then this spot is perfect. But they really couldn't have figured out a way to improve the wait times? There must be a way. I know they refuse to do online orders since they want the drinks made fresh to order, but that seems like a lousy excuse. You can just tell the customers that freshness isn't guaranteed if they don't pick up in a timely manner. I'll give Omomo 4 stars for now. If they figure out how to improve their wait times, I'll happily bump this up to 5.

Yelp
First time here and my friend and I waited about 35-40 minutes total (20 minutes in line and 20 minutes for the drinks) on a Saturday around 1:30pm. I ordered the avocado smash with boba and 30% sweetness. it was good! It was a bit warm and I'm not sure if they should have added more crushed iced or not. Besides that, the strawberries were really good. If I lived around here, I would come back to try out other drinks. Make sure to keep the receipt because they will call your number and you will need to show your receipt #. There is a huge parking lot here. There's also tables and chairs with umbrellas if you wanted to sit and enjoy the drink.

Yelp
Store was clean. Took us 20 minutes to order and get our drinks. The uji green tea tasted like jasmine tea and not green tea/matcha. I got my drink 30% sweet but the drink must really rely on the sweetness to taste like green tea. The cheese cream was good. The Ceylon creamomo was so good. I honestly would've preferred this over the uji matcha creamomo. They do have a larger selection so would come back to try more if I was in the area.

Yelp
If you live in Orange County then you know Omomo doesn't need an introduction. Aesthetic shop with great tea quality and their drinks are always amazing. Omomo matcha - great if you love matcha but this is on the sweeter side due to the brûlée cream Matcha cortado - beautiful matcha drink Strawberry fruit yakult - when you want something refreshing that doesn't have caffeine Not pictured but also recommended: angry matcha, and cafe latte with tiramisu The staff are always helpful. Expect long lines especially during the summer break. This location has plenty of parking and other stores to visit as you wait for your order.

Yelp
Omomo always has a long line so don't expect otherwise. Parking can be tough in the plaza too, especially during lunch hours. I'll admit, that my review will be a bit biased. I only come here because my sister loves boba. I'm not a boba drinker, but I am a matcha drinker, so I gave it a shot. We ordered the Matcha Cortado, Thai Milk Tea, and Oreo Brûlée Green Milk Tea. All of them were way too sweet for my taste. They felt more like dessert drinks or even frappuccinos than traditional teas. If you're into thick, sweet, creamy drinks, you'll probably love it. It's just not for me. There's not much room inside and most of the seats are taken by people waiting for their drinks. That said, I genuinely don't think the wait should be this long for drinks like these.

Yelp
Drinks: Avocado Smash & Crimson Sunset (Seasonal) Price: $6.95 | $7.50 Overall: Best boba spot in OC! I used to come here a lot during college for a sweet treat. The lines are kind of long, so expect to wait more than 25 minutes. The staff are quick with the service once upon ordering your drink. I usually get the Strawberry Yakult drink (FAV DRINK, GET IT!) but i decided for their seasonal drink: Crimson Sunset which is a strawberry and watermelon slushy with strawberry bits and coconut cheese foam (subbed out coconut pudding with boba) in fear of having it too coconut forward. The drink itself was surprisingly not bad and not too coconutty; the cheese foam made the slushy a bit creamier. The quality in drinks are incredible, def a go to spot in OC for boba!
