The Best Things To Eat At Wells Fargo Center - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"You can take a Philadelphian out of their neighborhood for a few hours, but you’ll never take their need for salty meats on a long roll. 9th Street Italian Sandwiches knows this, which is why there are two locations in the arena where you can get a decent pork sandwich with chili garlic broccoli rabe, as well as a satisfying Italian hoagie. You simply have to ask yourself if you want to be the person watching the Sixers win by 18 with a hoagie or without." - candis mclean

Really awesome sandwich shop is South Philly. We got three sandwiches and each was packed with fresh ingredients. The chicken cutlets were tender and juicy, and the rolls were baked perfectly. Service was fast and the pick up was easy.

Yummy! Oregon Ave's newest hotspot for hoagie lovers. Their menu features sandwiches on freshly baked rolls, homemade salads, drinks, and seasonal tiramisu - definitely recommend.

Different Cheesesteak #1219. Special Tuesday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. This was a great way to end a 3 cheesesteak day. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions. We took our cheesesteak to the Marriott Courtyard Navy Yard. We paired our cheesesteak with Black Cherry Old Fashions. This is the greatest pairing since Chocolate and Peanut Butter. Separately, they are very good. Together, the magic happens. The cheesesteak was very well made. It had great balance. Everything, roll, meat, cheese, and fried onions, worked great together. The cheesesteak was a joy to eat. We got a 2nd Old Fashion so we could sit and talk about our lovely afternoon.

Edit: I returned 2 months later for another cheese steak and it was disappointing. The meat tasted dried out and the sandwich smaller I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie on a seeded roll with cooper sharp cheese. It was really really good. I live in the neighborhood and this is definitely one of the best I've had. The sandwich cost $14 and I think it was worth it. It was very large with lots of meat and plenty of cheese. The meat tasted very good too. I asked for it chopped which I recommend. The staff is really nice and friendly. My sandwich was ready in less than 10 minutes. I will definitely return to try the smash burger and the meatball sub - I heard the meatballs are made from scratch. I also want to try the cold cut sandwich - they use boars head

The lady was really nice and the food was so delicious. I got the high roller and my husband got the roast pork “wet”. Both were GREAT!

Stopped by for a cheesesteak with cooper sharp, fried onions, on a seeded roll. Was very satisfied with the flavor and the portion. Arguably the best cheesesteak on Oregon Ave, and they have other menu options worth trying as well.

Decided to try a new place and this was it!Came in for two turkey hoagies and Everything from start to finish was an enjoyable experience. I was greeted by Denise and Denise who are as funny and sweet as can be! The hoagie itself was very well constructed, great seeded roll, and solid in portions. They also have many other options on their menu that I want to try like the chicken cutlets and cheesesteaks so I will definitely be going back!

Th italian hoagies are delicious. The meatball sandwich was dry. The meatballs were good, but there was no sauce on the sandwich. Great place very friendly staff. Will definitely be eating there again.

Yelp
My husband & I always try to "eat like the locals" while visiting different cities. We were pretty burnt out on cheesesteaks and so we decided that a hoagie was our best bet to switch it up a bit. We stopped here before the Phillies/Cubs game on 6/9/25 since it was situated halfway from our Airbnb to Citizen's Bank Park (they allow outside food to be brought in, if wrapped properly - how cool is that?!) The sandwiches are made to order, as most are in the city (but not all). We got the Italian Hoagie with lettuce, tomato, sliced red onions (albeit a bit more than our liking but still doable - personal preference; not a complaint) and Cooper Sharp (they have a variety of cheeses to choose from), oil & vinegar and oregano. The veggies were fresh and paired well with the meat and cheese. The bread was PHENOM and held up well when we ate the other half at the game. The oil and vinegar didn't soak the bread (thankfully, I absolutely HATE soggy bread) but there was still enough on there to lend a great flavor. We didn't get anything else to eat or drink, so we can't comment on those, but we definitely enjoyed our hoagie and would order it again in a second (light on the onion though). Also, we walked so we can't comment on parking BUT being that it is South Philly, parking was packed everywhere so if you do drive, you *might* be lucky enough to snag a spot nearby, but I wouldn't count on it being right out front. Side notes - The walk up window wasn't "working" that day so you're better off going inside to order (might be different at night or on other days). I had to run back to the Airbnb while my husband waited, and he doesn't remember if he got the sandwich through the outside pickup window or if she brought it outside to him. They also have a few tables out front to sit and enjoy your meal.

Yelp
This was a delicious cheesesteak!! My kid is sick , so I'm living in the hospital for a long while, so I'm trying different cheesesteaks spots around here. this cheesesteak hit the spot! The meat is seasoned extremely well and the roll was soft. A lot of meat, and the placement was smart. The center was packed with a lot of meat so as you eat the meat gets pushed back.

Yelp
We stopped in for the first time before heading to the stadium--and what a great find! We ordered two sandwiches: a turkey and cheese, and an Italian. Both were outstanding. The meats were super fresh and clearly high quality, and the seeded bread was light, flavorful, and just the right amount of hearty. These weren't skimpy sandwiches--they were packed with all the good stuff. And honestly, as great as the food was, the people were even better. Des and her team were incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell they take real pride in what they do. They even took the time to tell us about their vendors and walked us through the rest of the menu (which we'll definitely be back to explore). It was the perfect pre-game meal--delicious, filling, and served with a side of genuine hospitality. We'll absolutely be back!
