My husband & I always try to "eat like the locals" while visiting different cities. We were pretty burnt out on cheesesteaks and so we decided that a hoagie was our best bet to switch it up a bit. We stopped here before the Phillies/Cubs game on 6/9/25 since it was situated halfway from our Airbnb to Citizen's Bank Park (they allow outside food to be brought in, if wrapped properly - how cool is that?!)
The sandwiches are made to order, as most are in the city (but not all). We got the Italian Hoagie with lettuce, tomato, sliced red onions (albeit a bit more than our liking but still doable - personal preference; not a complaint) and Cooper Sharp (they have a variety of cheeses to choose from), oil & vinegar and oregano. The veggies were fresh and paired well with the meat and cheese. The bread was PHENOM and held up well when we ate the other half at the game. The oil and vinegar didn't soak the bread (thankfully, I absolutely HATE soggy bread) but there was still enough on there to lend a great flavor. We didn't get anything else to eat or drink, so we can't comment on those, but we definitely enjoyed our hoagie and would order it again in a second (light on the onion though). Also, we walked so we can't comment on parking BUT being that it is South Philly, parking was packed everywhere so if you do drive, you *might* be lucky enough to snag a spot nearby, but I wouldn't count on it being right out front.
Side notes - The walk up window wasn't "working" that day so you're better off going inside to order (might be different at night or on other days). I had to run back to the Airbnb while my husband waited, and he doesn't remember if he got the sandwich through the outside pickup window or if she brought it outside to him. They also have a few tables out front to sit and enjoy your meal.
