Southwest Portland Vietnamese Restaurant Anchoi Has Closed - Eater Portland

"On Deck, the Pearl District sports bar that almost closed last year, actually bit the bullet in mid-January. According to a Facebook post, the ownership team couldn’t get an extension on the lease." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Drove here with my kid right before a tournament. Google said open 10-10. Closed. Boooo. Missed our chance at BP before the game. Plz update your hours or make it more clear if we need to schedule a time to come hit. Updating review to 3 stars after getting a response. Never went inside though.

Brought my girls today 3/1/2024 to get them warmed up for the season. The owner was super helpful and showed me how to use the machine! Was able to have a set up for both T-Ball and 12U age and had them practice in this private facility. Very clean and well maintained! My daughter signed the wall last year with her team! We most definitely will be back, thank you Sean!

We had such a great time! Clean and well kept facility. They had everything we needed and some extras (bluetooth speaker, and encouraged to sign the wall). Huge variety of equipment and my daughter was able to get in a solid hour of some Softball practice. We will definitely be back again.

I took 9 girls from my daughter's softball team here for some batting practice. It was great! We had 3 stations going for the girls with one being the jugs machine. They had a blast hitting and built up some confidence. I will definitely be back! The owner was very easy to communicate with and super helpful.

Top grade stuff. Single lane, private use, well maintained machine. Easy to reserve, Sean was super helpful and responsive. Had my 13 year old baseball obsessed nephew visiting from out of town. We tried a couple other options. Wish we would have started here.

Great place to get some work in. Especially being in the Pacific Northwest where it rains a lot! I use this place very early in the morning, and it’s great cause it’s not cold in there at all. So you can get warmed up and practice with ease. Great batting tunnel. Glad I found it.

Awesome space! Easy to book appointment process. Clean, well equipped, great for players visiting from out of town. Would highly recommend On Deck for players and teams of all ages.

Yelp
Finding batting cages in this area feels like a quest from Vox Machina. So I was super excited to find this awesome spot! It's a private tunnel with an easily operated machine that was great for my 6 year old. Even he was able to work the machine so we could take turns batting. They have equipment there, though it is always best to train with what you use. But if you just wanna knock some balls around they have everything you need! The guy was super friendly and walked me through everything, and then it was just me and my kid pretending like we were Babe Ruth. I slowed the machine down and gave it an arch so my kid could practice catching as well! They use soft balls for the little guys, or hard balls if you're feeling froggy. We used the soft ones as he is six and learning. Definitely going to be coming back again. Might make it a monthly treat, and definitely going to talk to our coach about it. I think it's be fun to get the whole team here and run through some batting drills.
