On The Fly

Came into this flight school with an open mind of picking up on my hobby in the aviation space after being off for a few years. First off, Ian, my flight instructor is a straight shooter.. his direction and corky comments are what makes the plane and learning to fly fun. I’ve spent around 22 hours in various aircraft’s with him and he has been clear with teaching, direction, corrections, and learning along the entire way. Both on the ground and in the air, Ian has been nothing short of the best of 4 instructors I have been with in previous time to joining OTF. If it wasn’t for Ian, I wouldn’t have come back into aviation and go “all in” on wanting to accomplish my private pilots license. Though I’m not flying on an everyday basis, Ian has made it very easy to teach outside of the airplane to ensure that I can pick right back up where I have left off on the previous lesson. *6 stars to Ian Will and family - the safety, quality of aircraft, and backgrounds is what will lead this “mom and pop” flight school to the top. With each of their family members, who are all aviation geeks, are all extremely welcoming, and have been nothing short of great to talk to. I have full trust in the schools hands to ensure the safety of the aircraft, and the hand chosen instructors and “aviationists”, to ensure further teachings for anyone who wants to get into flying. Getting to know you guys has made the experience all that much better, since I have built trust knowing who you are behind the business. *6 stars to Will and family I can’t wait to see where the rest of my journey to PPL takes me, can’t wait to continue with OTF and see where the next 20 hours take me!

My son just got his private pilot certification done through On the Fly. They were the third flight school, and I truly wish we had just gone with them first. Great instructors who are safety minded while making sure their students gain competency, and they have good personalities too. (We found out the hard way how much THAT matters.) Jackson Trussell was my son’s instructor and he really liked learning from him!

Joined up with OTFA back in January of 2024 to get my PPL. Jackson was my main instructor and he was awesome. I had to take about 8 months off because life got hectic, but I came back earlier this year and was working with Jackson again until he left the school. I started working with Connor Cannon who is a great guy and awesome instructor and I just passed my checkride last Thursday. Thanks OTFA! Now I can laugh at cars stuck in traffic whenever I please :)

The best flight school around these parts. Very professional and knowledgeable people.. I met Will and Donna by the grace of God and what a Godsend they were. I spent the whole week flying with their cfi and what a knowledgeable experience it was. Learning to land and deal with a towered airport. Great experience and would say if anyone is interested in learning how to fly this company is TOP GUN!!!!
