On The Kirb

On The Kirb has a fun, lively vibe that is great for brunch. The mimosa towers were enormous and served in a super tall, cylindrical pitcher. The nachos were just okay, but the truffle fries were amazing and crispy and dipped in the delicious ranch was mouth watering. Service was a bit slow at times, but everyone was friendly. The restaurant is very spacious with a nice patio seating area as well. There’s plenty of free parking too.

The flavor of the food is quite average and could use some improvement. The steak could be juicier, and the pizza was bland, with only a salty taste. The cocktails, on the other hand, are great! The service is outstanding; every server is friendly, professional, and attentive. I really appreciated how the sports bar accommodates customers' requests by switching channels to their preferred sports. The restaurant itself, as well as the restrooms, are both clean and well-maintained.

I had my work Chirstmas party, and the environment and service was just phenomenal, very amicable and helpful people. However, the vegan options were very reduced... I ordered the burget and the pizza, which they were very nice honestly, but to eat it in front of so many animal corpses and their secretions made my experience not great at all. This type of places should start switching to a more healthy, cruelty-free plant based meals... and reducing or even avoiding serving animals.

Me and my family were trying to find a lunch spot with a beautiful atmosphere. We stumbled across this fancy sports bar with amazing flavorful drinks. From the pineapple drink to the dreamsicle cocktail I was very impressed. Hayden our server was very polite and down to earth with great recommendations. We stayed long past the lunch rush laughing and making a memorable day together. Will definitely return for brunch on Sunday. Located right off 59 fwy right past Lakewood Church. Thanks again

What a great experience here with Hope as our waitress and Sergio as the manager who made me and my dates first night here a night to remember ! Service was great and food was so fresh I thought they had a farm in the back! I highly recommend this gem to anyone anting great food and service! This is a five star review!

Went for brunch it was cute. Service was s tad slow but she was cool. The cocktails are everything and the Brussels sprouts were delish.

Zoe and David went above and beyond to make everything seamless, memorable, and completely stress-free. The food was served promptly, the service was excellent, and the private room was perfect for our team gathering. We had an amazing time from start to finish. I truly appreciate the level of care and professionalism shown by the staff, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend for corporate events or private gatherings!

For context: I had just flown in to share driving duties as my daughter and I prepped for our 1000+ mile road trip the next day. I was impressed with their organic menu online. So, we stopped to try it. For the dinner meal, I had two scrumptious seasonal cocktails- Grandad's and one with a yummy chocolate and crushed mint rim. Then, OMG!... I had the Houston Cowboy grass-fed Burger. Y'all! It had my taste buds on fire with the jalapeños and singing at once with the other ingredients. Delicious! Our server Lettie was very sweet. The restroom was very clean. With such healthy choices, I bought extra for our trip. We took the Chicken wrap, Shwarma chicken wrap, and hummus/falafel/veggie plate with us for the trip. Those were also really tasty. It was nice to have instead of "road food".

Usually, sports bar food is kinda meh. Low expectations, right? It's all about watching games? I tell you what - the one place that I know of that bucks this trend is On The Kirb. The food is LEGIT. My main go-to is usually the shrimp cavatappi pasta. Delicious. But I've also tried the pizzas before. They're tasty! And the wings! And the chips 'n queso? I recommend adding the ground beef in the queso. Yummyyyyyyy Service was also off the charts. I was there to watch a game of my friend's alma mater that wasn't on any of the TV's and was hard to find a way to make it work and not get some other customer there at least somewhat irritated. The manager, Gavin, kindly explained this to me but said, as soon as my friend arrived, he would try to find a way. True to his word, as soon as my friend arrived, there was Gavin coming to our table and he figured out a way for our game to be on one of the screens! Highly impressed by this service instead of the typical "sorry we just can't do this today" that I might get elsewhere in a similar situation. From a sports bar perspective, this is a good place if you have one main game that everyone wants to watch. It's become a tradition for me to watch Longhorn games here with my UT buddies. The food truly sets it apart, which is important because for all those coming to join who may not be as into sports, there needs to be more than just sports that appeals, and the food seriously appeals. It's smart to set a reservation ahead of time, if possible. Also, there is a good amount of parking, as this Greenway location is part of a bigger plaza. I'm also a fan of the Kirby location for the same food reasons, but Greenway has more parking. I'll be back! This remains a serious go-to place for me for those one-game viewing gatherings with friends.

What a great place to watch a game,, any game. We watched Wimbledon, and soccer on the big screens.. the food was amazing and my wife loved the $5 Bloody Mary. Highly recommend you checking this place out.

Outstanding. expresso martini and the cowboy burger one of rhe best burgers in town. Get the sweet potato fries. Laila ' is the best bartender in the area. Ask for her when you come! The wings are also outstanding. Amazing service every time by Laila!!

Nobody available to seat us, had to ask if we could seat ourselves. Bad attitude! Got seated and a waiter came & took our order. I asked for my burger medium-well. 45 minutes later, after complaining to the manager, I got my burger VERY RARE! We got fish tacos & a burger + 2 ice teas. We got the ice teas (no lemon available) and no refills. The manager said they got a lot of orders (at lunch time), but they seemed pretty empty.... He took the burger off the bill. Lousy service all around! Never going back.

Pretty good place with drinks and food! Decent seating inside and out for a sports bar. Plenty of parking in the shopping center, and lots of people going in and out during this time. I went during lunch time for some lunch with a friend. Service was friendly and pretty quick. We shared a chips and queso appetizer which was supper delicious. For entrees, we had the shrimp tacos, the chicken wrap and a side of fries, which all in total was decently sized and more than enough for us both. They were all delicious and the fries were a nice crispy you don't see nowadays. Would definitely come back to try more options and actual drinks, maybe during the evening.

Tried this place for date night and we were pleasantly surprised. We have been to this restaurant but it was our first time at this location. The interior is rustic-Industrial and they have daily specials! Staff was friendly and helpful! We tried a Gin Weasley, the nachos and a barbecue pizza! We will definitely be back!

As a fan of On the Kirb on Kirby and in Midtown, I was excited to see the new location in Greenway Plaza right on 59 outbound! They opened middle December for their soft opening. The grand opening is scheduled for January 10, 2025. Emily was our attentive server. I got a seasonal apple pie tini that she recommended. Good choice! Chips & queso, truffle fries, giant pretzels are some of my go-to-must-order items. This is in the old Cafe Express and Valencia's spot between Potbelly & TDECU. This location has the same great staff, same ambiance with the dark stained wood booths, and most importantly, the same great menu items & cocktails! Met some friends here on a Saturday evening. They have perfect tables for larger groups. This location is not listed on their website yet, but check them out on instagram. With the daily specials, great happy hour menu, and perfectly cooked pizzas, this is the place to go for fresh ingredients, organic options, and sports. The front patio is covered and larger than the Kirby location, so you can sit outside year round. Congrats to OTK for opening y'all's fourth location!

I'd say a 4.0 is pretty spot on. Ambiance is nice as it's not too fancy but feels like higher quality (tshirt and jeans type). Pizza was decent, although texture wise was a little softer than we would have liked. The salmon dish was best of the plates ordered (nice crust and not overcooked!). Fish tacos good, nothing to really write home about. Chicken wrap was fine but price point felt a little off. Ordered a good amount of beers and drinks but I would say go during happy hour to really get a better experience and bang for your buck. Service was strange? The host was super friendly and checked on us which felt nice but our server was hard to come by. I'd say it's a nice one time go type of restaurant.

I was so excited to see a new On the Kirb location because I have always loved their happy hours. I think this new location has some kinks to work out. I love the space, it's big with a lot of TVs, a great place to watch a game. Server was really nice, but it did take a long time to get water, I think she just forgot the first time we asked. I ordered a caprese burger and requested it be cooked medium. The meat was definitely over cooked, there was zero red in the middle of the patty. The patty was kind of salty. I like the caprese toppings. The fries are tasty but the serving is kind of stingy. I think many other entrees are better, especially the pizzas. Overall, a little pricey for what I got. But the HH deals are great. We went on a Friday and it's half off wine bottles on Fridays which is a good deal.

Stopped in to this restaurant for the first time last night, nice service, not busy at all. We ordered the chips and queso with beef, and two kebab plates that our waitress mentioned to us that was off the menu. One chicken and one beef kebab. We did not order any drinks aside from one sweet tea and water. The food was good, fresh. However we were a little taken aback by the $110 bill at the end. It wasn't a problem but it would have maybe been nice to have been made aware the kebab plates were going to be over $40 each? That's wild considering the other prices on the menu being so much lower, even the filet mignon dish was cheaper! It was good food but given the lack of transparency and pricing themselves that high lost my desire to ever return. I wouldn't recommend going here if you're looking for something casual, however the vibe is actually casual, but the prices are not.

First day of work so of course I had to try a new place. There is a decent size patio and plenty of tables inside. We were quickly sat even at prime lunch time in the Greenway area. We started off with the falafel and veggies. Honestly decent amount of veggies and falafels provided. I'd have liked a bit more flavor in the hummus but overall not bad. For my meal, I had the chicken shawarma wrap. The thick pickles honestly through me off. The chicken flavor was great through. The waitress was sweet but considering we were one of about five tables in the restaurant I wondered where she was most of the time. I'd have liked a bit better of service for the number of guests. Overall I'd go back once they maybe have a bit more experience.

We had a great experience thanks to our server, Hope. The manager, Sergio made sure our orders came out perfect. The chef, David cooked up a delicious meal for us. The ambiance and food were definitely a world class combination to a five star experience. I liked that it was not very loud and that they were able to accommodate any dietary restrictions that our party had. We will definitely be back again soon.

I have not had the food here. It's a very big Super size restaurant/bar plenty of room for everybody. The food looks good. In particular the pizzas. The drinks are on the small side cost a little bit more as well. It's a great place to meet up with friends and pregame.

Good place to watch the Texans play. Great service, our server was from a different location. The manager visited our table and greeted us warmly.

I have been here a few times. The drinks, food and service is always a hit or miss. Definitely would stick with the burger and truffle fries only. The establishment itself is cute and a great place to watch the games.

Yall need to check this 5 star restaurant out! All I can say is Wow! Their food is super delicious and the quality is so fresh! I love their cowboy burgers and shrimp tacos! Their pizza is to die for! What I love about On the Kirb is that they offer tallow to fry in as well! The staff and everyone is super welcoming!!! They made me feel like home! Their customer service is top tier and I love how everyone is accommodating and people friendly. It made me want to come back which I will! The environment is so nice we love sitting outside when it's nice. If you're thinking about coming to this restaurant GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. They also have a lot of tv's so if you're into sports like we are, you can watch there! Giving this restaurant a 5 star plus!! I'll be back !

The food was prepared, well and healthy. The service was prompt and friendly. They have organize condiments and teas which was really nice to see. I tried the chicken and steak nachos, the Cobb salad, and the pesto pizza. The pizza was the best thing because it was fresh. However, I do not feel that I will return to try other dishes. The chicken and the steak was a bit tough and bland.

We popped in after seeing the restaurant while on 59. Came in for brunch/lunch and was greeted by James. He was also our server. The food is excellent, decor is great, so many TV's to watch sports in a contemporary sports bar setting. James topped off our experience with great service. Everyone around us ordered the mimosa tower. Have to try that next time. Thank you!!

It was a little busy and a little loud, but honestly, it was really great service our waiter Taylor brunetteish super sweet was very attentive which I love also the food came out fast and hot which I love 8/10 experience and also my drinks were strong!

I've always loved On the Kirb, but have just started going to the new Greenway location and LOVE IT. It's a large and open concept with a nice patio and so many TVs. They have really good specials every day of the week too. I love On the Kirb's concept, it's very unique. It's like a healthy organic sports bar that offers healthy options and seed oil-free options like fries fried in beef tallow (which is so hard to find especially at a sports bar). And their brunch is SO good. Not to mention the vibes there are great. They have a really friendly staff and their managers always come to my table to talk to me and always remember me, which I've never gotten at any other restaurant! Their drinks are really good too, and they have such a good variety of cocktails and beer/wine. Honestly just a great experience all around every time, I highly recommend you try it out if you haven't already.

It's a joke to call this a "sports bar". Went to watch the Houston basketball game and multiple time they took the game off the tv. Eventually decided to go watch the game at a real sports bar.

Great new location in Greenway plaza. Personable service and good food! Excellent cauliflower crust available by request on pizzas. Great menu!

Overall I thought the food and service was great and just the patio chairs were the worst thing I ever sat in. Now I realize having the blood flow cut off to my feet caused me to not check the bill. We were charged for something we sent back unopened. We sent back a bottle of chardonnay because the server insisted it was the sparkling wine we requested. It was not and though we ordered something else were still charged.

I have visited the Midtown On the Kirb a few times in the past several years, and I was excited to check out this new location. Emily was our server and she took great care of us, guiding us through the menu and answering my (many) questions. The queso was a hit, but the ribeye absolutely blew me away! Delicious. Vibes were on ten - mostly thanks to Emily, who really sweetened the whole experience. I would definitely recommend requesting her when visiting this location! We will be back :)

Most disappointing and overpriced steak I've ever had. I got the 16oz ribeye and it did not match its $46 price point. Too thick and devoid of any marbling with lots of gamy spots and gristle. Service was very sweet however and highly attentive and the place was very clean and well-organized. Do better with your steaks and I'd love to try again!

Good atmosphere, food and drinks. Have returned since first visit and will continue to patronize On The Kirb.

I've been to other locations before and had pretty good experiences, so I wanted to check out this location. There's a lot of TVs and a decent sized bar space. I was sat pretty quickly and greeted by Adrian and the server he was training. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, or what, but when they dropped off my beer, they rushed away, not checking to see if I was ready to order (I was), and then didn't come back for 20 minutes. I know it's a new spot and I'm sure there are some kinks to work out, but slowing down and ensuring your guests are all good is most important. Honestly, I just wanted a pizza. I'm going to Bollo on W Alabama.
