On the Rocks Bar & Grill

It’s a small local restaurant tucked away in a hidden area with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were a group of ten, and we all enjoyed the vibe — especially on Friday nights when a live band plays lively music that makes people want to dance. I ordered the filet mignon; the quality of the meat was excellent, but it was served cold. I also think the extra charge for bread and vegetables was unfair since the vegetables weren’t anything special. Those who ordered the chicken wrap were happy with the taste. Overall, it’s a nice place to make memories, and for newcomers or immigrants, it can be an interesting way to experience a bit of American culture.

Decent bar food. We really like the atmosphere with the rock and more natural type settings both indoors and outdoors. Huge plus for the staffing level, two bartenders and plenty of servers who were very friendly and kept on top of things.

Thus place was surprisingly good. Our waitress was top notch and could hold her own with our jokes. Very friendly staff and the food materializes in minutes. Traditional bar food with a flair. Pizza was very good light crispy, and delicious. Cobb salad was deconstructed to perfection. The Ahi tuna was cooked to perfection. They have a good selection bourbonl and tequila. They have my reco.

Food was fresh and clean just not the best. Wasn’t bad just not great. Service was great, had two waitresses. Atmosphere was excellent, everyone was friendly, there was a outdoor patio - dog friendly- and a beautiful waterfall

This is my third time being here over a span of 5 years. The food continues to be mediocre at best. The service as before was very slow this time also. It’s just too bad because this looks like it should be a cool place to come took.

Was in town on mtgs & was looking for a bar for a quick beer & bite. Nice bar seating & happy hour menu. I got two sliders - one chicken & burger & it was just the perfect amount. My beer was cold & crisp. So all and all, met expectations.

Tortilla soup was good. Nachos were good. Fries were ok, not the best. Wings were not that great. Wouldn’t recommend. Wings say jumbo but they’re super small. They have a good beer selection. Kitchen closes at 9:30pm.

The food was delicious, the live band had me dancing, and the staff was friendly. The cheese is outstanding! I thought the hot Cheetos would ruin it, but they did not. Try b4 you turn your nose up. Yummy 😋

my first time on Tuesday Dodger game nite what a fun place. was there with friends and we had a great time. food and bar service was amazing Daniela the bartender was awesome and kind. i drove from Burbank to Garden Grove and it was well worth it enjoy

I had an amazing party for My retirement! The entire staff made it so memorable and seamless! It is such a beautiful place! Cindy was so cooperative and Made the night magical! Can't wait to have another event at on the rocks

My husband, stepdad and I went in for a quick drink to celebrate my stepdads late birthday in between kid pick up tasks It was around 3/3:30 on a Monday and the owner was as in the restaurant. We sat at the bar and my stepdad tried to order a beer. Her response was "I'm not the bartender". Needless to say, this place is not the same as it used to be. We used to frequent On the Rocks, as it's the closest hangout spot for family and friends. But over the years the food and service have gone way down hill. This was the last straw for us. The simple rudeness from the owner to a paying customer. We will be better off going to West Grove Pizza or Griffins Grill for our food/drinks locally.

Deserts made us go 2 nights in a row during Dodger World Series run alot of big screens great service plan to meet friends for dinner there over weekend while visiting family

OTR Bar & Grill has it all! Starting with our waitress Selina, I'm sure the other young lady is just as nice but Selina went over & above our expectations. The Ambiance was fun with all the games on the TV's, light music in the background & a friendly mix of all ages. The food was delicious & big portions. You get your monies worth. We will be back!!

We've come to watch live music a couple of times. Last night we came to see one of our favorite bands - The Belairs Rock and Soul Band, their first time playing here. As always, they sounded great, the acoustics in the restaurant are great, I love the dance floor, it's easy to dance on. The food was great. We had the Brussel sprouts which my friend inhaled, the ahi burger ( they could have heated the bun, otherwise it was good), the chicken wrap, and the chopped wedge salad with added chicken. The servings are generous especially the added chicken for the wedge salad. The waitress was great, despite her being the only one , she handled it well. We will definitely be coming back and especially if the Belairs Rock and Soul Band play. They had the dance floor rocking!

GO DODGERS!!! This place is a true DoDgers bar Come for Happy Hour - great deals on apps & full meals... Danielle at the bar is AMAZING!! Our family already loves her ~ she is always kind & smiling. Nice sized bar area. Beautiful outdoor patio seating area. They have a stage, dance floor, and bands that play there often. Comfortable dining areas throughout the place.

Excellent spot for parties or large groups & sports teams . Live music several nights a week too . Great service & solid food choices. Pizza is good & burgers are great . The Brussels sprouts & the homemade brownies are note worthy

What a fun place! Live music on Friday nights is a must try! The place was packed by 7'ish so make a reservation to ensure seating or get there early. The manager was VERY accommodating and so friendly, she was working the floor all night making sure guests were taken care of. Our server was also superior! The menu has many options, which includes a great Happy Hour menu and prices were reasonable. Although the place was very busy we were comfortable with room to enjoy the band and also dance.

On The Rocks and the All Star Crew that Cindy has put together with a very special shoutout to one of the most attentive and thoughtful bartenders - Danielle! She is a Rockstar! Makes sure that the vibe is right, the drinks are poured right, the beer is ice cold, and doesn't skip a beat. She knows everyones name, and even their "drinks"! She handles it with a smile and a friendly sentiment that makes you feel like you found a home away from home. We met her last year during the Dodgers Postseason run and what we learned last year has remained consistent. Cindy as well! We will be back for more soon... BTW- The Burger deal during Happy Hour is awesome and lots of food... the balsamic vinaigrette for the salad is made in house and is delicious! See you all again soon! Go Dodgers!!!

Place is always closed. Try to go at 3 pm on a Saturday and closed. Closed because of rain. Get it together. Also closed early on Friday and Saturday.

Soup & pretzel it was so YUMMIELOUS. My cousin got chicken Alfredo she said it was very creamy and tasty. My sister got 3 sliders Beef, chicken & meatball. Those were great except for chicken My sister said it was lil dry. Drinks are WONDERFUL!!! IT'S the playoffs noisey is very loud. One guy was very mean toward us. So we moved to another area away from him. It's best to move before words are exchanged

got bitten by fleas around my ankles after sitting in their outdoor seating area. It seems like there are fleas in the outdoor space. This made the experience quite uncomfortable.

Come here often on Sundays after soccer games with my teammates. Today a few of us came after pickleball. The staff is always friendly and kind. Today only the bar area was crowded but on Sundays it's usually a packed house. Average noise even during football season. Today I ordered a double burger lettuce wrapped with a salad and their bacon wrapped shrimp. I really enjoyed all my food. It hit the spot. The bacon wrapped shrimp are dynamite. They were perfectly crispy. Will definitely order those again.

First, this restaurant is special because it's where I met my husband 8 years ago :) Food - Always good. My favorite is their house made spinach/artichoke/jalapeño dip served with fresh warm bread & chips. Service - Friendly Ambiance - Changes .. sometimes it's loud and low key rowdy ... other times it's quiet and peaceful ha! Either way we always enjoy it. The patio with the waterfall and warmers is really cool.

We were in the mood for a Bloody Mary. Heard this place had great ones. After having a fabulous one in New Mexico it's hard not to compare them. I wouldn't say it was great but it was good. It was quiet in the bar, not crowded for a Sunday with nfl games on. Wasn't in the mood for bar food so we just had 1 drink.

This place is tucked away on the side, they have great staff with a nice atmosphere and super cold beer.

Came here to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in years and they live close by and this is their go to place It's definitely a dive bar but it was great when we went It was a weeknight and I had no idea they closed early but we stayed til closing and the server was attentive and came over and the vibe is what you expect with TVs and music The food was pretty good although I mainly got appetizers but they did the job to go with my drinks I would go again for sure here

If you like live music, try this place. I'm not sure what days they have the live band but it starts at around 8pm. They also have food selection and variety of drinks. Ample amount of parking space.

Bustling sports bar vibes on the inside and cozy, quiet vibes on the outdoor patio, which is wrapped with a creek-like water feature. Service is always fast and friendly. Food and drinks are hit or miss. All of their well drinks are vile, so stay away from those. The beef skewers are good, but the pretzels are terrible.

Owner needs to take action. I do like this place, they do offer a variety of choices, but... They close at 8pm!! Regardless of the Google timeframe of 11pm, they start cleaning at 7:15pm, do last food call/kitchen closes at 7:30pm, and last alcohol call at 7:45pm. We challenged this at last alcohol call at 7:45pm and the bartender (a male on 2/27/24) told us this is standard and what they do during weekdays, without apology for the website being incorrect. Would not recommend this place on a weekday due to this. It's 8:02pm as I write this and we're paying the bill.... Would've ordered $100 more, minimum. Owner needs to update the hours or fix your staff expectations!!

This place is in our business center so it's a no brainer when we can't decide what we want to eat for lunch. They have great salads, lots of bar food, and of course a full bar...for those days when you have something to celebrate...or not! In our case we were celebrating Fri-yay!!

Food, Service, Ambiance, all of it is good here at this hidden bar & grill. The food came fast and it was very good. Server kept our drinks filled too. Good place!

Nice staff but horrible food. The food is wayyyy over priced. Plus it's just not good. I rated the wings a 3/10 and the Philly cheese sandwhich a 2/10. Cool ambience. But that's it.

If I could give over 10 stars I would for Annarae she is awesome her personality friendliness courtesy she is really a good waitress she connects with her customers in fact we had such great service last time with her when we went back requested to have her luckily she was working the bus boyz also works very hard and helpful very nice service from them Annerae always had our order correct I can't say enough good things about her I wanted her manager to get this review and know how much we appreciate Annerae and what a great server she has this review isn't just from me but also the other 2 guests that were with me as they can't say enough good things about her

The food, the service the ambience was loud but it was a nice place. Food was good and I was on a double date so it worked out really well was very comfortable. I will definitely go back.

We've been going to OTR for years. Local. Convenient. Good food and great service. But tonight was a different story. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla. The chicken was dry and there was hardly any cheese in the quesadilla. Very dry! My sister in law ordered The Rocks burger. It was raw on the inside, and charcoaly on the outside. Terrible. We also ordered the nacho appetizer platter and it was just plain awful. My Ahi Burger however, was tasty. And my son's French Dip was also very good. Not sure what's going on at OTR. We've always been very happy with their food. In fact, in the past it was awesome. But tonight, it was not. With that being said, our server Kayla, was amazing. Prompt. Kind and courteous.

This place is amazing! Great food, great rooms, great pricing. We aren't from the area and stayed there randomly due to a storm hoping for a local cheap motel. What we found was an oasis with a full menu, great bar, and game room for everyone, there's even an outdoor pavilion with games. The staff was unbelievably welcoming and had everything anyone could want. The views from the rooms are incredible and the service is A+.

Such a cute place, it looks like you're somewhere camping. Rock walls, fireplaces and a big nice waterfall outside. Our bartender was super nice and attentive. Drink prices are steep and crap quality like a dive bar. Good pretends to be fancy with cheesy set ups and garnishes. We've eaten here a handful of times and it's so pricey for what you get. This time we got the ceviche. It's not traditional, they use precooked shrimp with a little juice and lime. Really bland but that's what hot sauce is for. It's a small dish and should be no more than $11. The salads are pricey, sandwiches are too and nothing to write home about. Just your typical bar food. We like the vibe here and it's always packed on game days and happy hour.

Disappointing experience. Wouldn't go back. Food and ambiance were okay but poor customer service.

My husband and I have been going to this place for a while now and we love the place. In face we went last night for our date night and saw our friends play(Hollywood Blonde). The owner Cindy was awesome, very professional and so were the other staff. It was dark(ambient )and we were hungry when we arrived so we ordered right away and when the food came, we ate and didn't have time to take pics of them. I always order my favorite Grilled Salmon with Sautéed Veggies and Mashed potatoes. My husband had Jambalaya over pasta. The chef did a wonderful job. We had so much fun with dinner and dancing. I highly recommend this place for date nights or if you just want to go out with friends.

We have been coming here for happy hour once a month!!! Loved everything about this hidden gem. Food, service, prices, quality and live music all in one. Great options for seating, if with a date, or a group, or just dinner or drinks, this place has it all! I really enjoyed the shrimp covered bacon, OMG TO DIE FOR!! The guac they serve with it, it truly amaze balls! Its like melt in your mouth! I also like everything else! The rocks combo is always a great one to get too, if you're undecided! My go too meal is the Chicken Pot Pie.. The crust is buttery and very flaking. The inside has chunks of chicken with just the right amount of peas and carrots. You can never go wrong!! The bar and outside is very lovely! The parking is spacious and the to go boxes are always the best part hahaha... We shall be back!!!

We stumbled on this cute chain restaurant because the parking, the tapas, the line dancing and the price! Our group had over 10 people as we all had an awesome night.

Good luck trying to get a small table during UFC events if there's not at least 4 of you, the hostess will only allow you and your friend to go stand in the bar area (has happened multiple times) The kids play room is next to the men's restroom which is kinda creepy

Had a blast here! Awesome Buffalo wings, the nachos are delicious and fresh, service is really great. Super attentive and nice. Can't wait to come back

The food and atmosphere here is great. The place reminds me of a mountain lodge and there's a waterfall by the patio. I sat at the bar and Danielle was working. She is fantastic with great drinks and the best personality. I would highly recommend this place. Dave

Had a good date night with my wife on a Saturday night. Sat at the bar and we were taken care of immediately by the bartender. Ordered a Heineken 0 and it was nice and cold. Food was very tasty and was freshly made and served hot. Overall great service like we had before which was years ago but we highly recommend it.

The thought kept popping up "It can't be that bad cause it's crowded". No. Wrong, wrong. The service is very fast. The staff are moving quickly between tables. I received a menu almost as soon as I sat, and the drinks were there lickety-split, fast after ordering. Top notch service. There is an artificial waterfall making loud noise on the outside patio. No gentle trickles here. My girlfriend liked her lemon drop (she is skinny as a rail and far less of a foodie than I am). The drinks are meh. The martini was not adequately shaken if it was at all. I asked and paid for quality vodka in my 2nd drink. It tasted no different than the first. The food was icky. We had chicken sliders. The chicken meat was the color of salmon and tough. Pink chicken seems to be impacted chemically somehow. I took a bite and was done. The Brussels sprouts were black but not crispy, overcooked and covered in what tasted like pure honey. What a disappointment. No way will I return.

Amazing food! Great place to have a drink and enjoy a nice affordable dinner. I enjoyed the Flat Iron steak, started off with some fried avocado!! Highly recommended..

Came here during quarantine and they had a nice seating area set up outside in the parking lot as well as a big dining patio! Our service was a little slow, but that's expected as things started to open up again. Our food and drinks were amazing though!!! NOM NOM NOM! I had the cucumber martini and my friend had the raspberry Moscow mule...both strong and delicious drinks! We ordered all appetizers; fried pickles, zucchini, chicken skewers and meatballs with garlic bread! My favorite was the fried pickles!!! So much flavor and the breading was thin. The zucchini was super crunchy and thick breading.....this was our least favorite. Chicken had nice falvoring and the meatballs were delicious! Our total for 4 appetizers and 2 drinks was $68 which was not bad. They have a happy hour (not sure of the day/time) so I'm sure some of these items are cheaper then. Would definitely come back!!!

This place has great food and a great atmosphere. I dig the design style and really love the outdoor area...feels so tropical and fun! Perfect place to watch the game, grab a beer and get some grub. Would highly recommend.

Eating in the patio at this amazing place always makes me feel I am at Big Bear. It is so peaceful with running water , rocks for the water to run over, great Happy Hour 3 to 6 good food and an extremely friendly staff who goes out of their way to be helpful. I'd like to give you an example of their thoughtfulness. I had put my cane next to the railing , it fell into the water and our server, Everett went after it with a smile. This was no easy maneuver as he had to walk around, then climb down the wet rocks and hung over the water to retrieve my cane. This is a one of a kind place to eat. Amber is great too, as is everyone else.*****

Great place, good food, great drinks terrible hours. Went to this place during the week----closed and opens at 3:00pm! Who the hell opens at 3:00pm? I arrived at 2:30pm thinking I could get one of their awesome Cobb salads and a Moscow Mule (or three) but the place is closed till 3:00pm-9pm from Monday to Thursday. Who the hell keeps these hours?!?!? Ended up going to Katella Deli instead ...

My family absolutely loves On the Rocks! Their service is amazing! The entire staff is super friendly. Their menu is awesome because it has great variety at a great price and we have never had anything we didn't love. The establishment is very clean and family friendly. When they have live entertainment it's always a hit. This is not only our favorite local spot, it's also the perfect place to watch a game. Thank you to all of you at On The Rocks! You are all amazing!!
