We have eaten here a few times over the years when we are on the coast, and let me tell you-this is one of the best spots we’ve eaten! Our most recent visit was in March 2025, and we were just happy with the service and the food. We split the crab cakes appetizer, and I had the Chelsea Rose rockfish and chips, and my husband had Ona pasta as our entrees. We also split a bowl of clam chowder, which was delightful. The food was delicious, the cocktails were great, and our service was excellent. The enclosed patio was nice too, especially since we had our pup along. We will be back.

Google
The food is simply amazing! The food is a bit pricey for a simple lunch so much so locals commented on it to me. The salad and crab cake are exceptional. Outdoor seating was lovely. Lovely presentation. Kind staff.

Google
Food was really good! The homemade sourdough was excellent! Had the Mexican shrimp, kinda a different/weird combo of marinara/pesto sauce, didn't really seen to go together, but good flavored shrimp! Also had the steak and mashed and was impressed, cooked to perfection! Clam chowder was good as well! Service was second to none!! Great goto in yachats!

Google
Cute place with great view. We wanted to stop by for lunch. I got a burger and my friend got calamari. They were great. It was kinda quiet on lunch but outdoor seating has a nice view.

Google
Nice patio dining that is dog friendly. Friendly staff and outstanding local cuisine. I highly recommend starting off with the clams.

What a wonderful gem on the coast! We had dinner at Ona's while we were in Yachats for our friend's birthday. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Their staff and outdoor patio were amazing. And we even had the opportunity to observe a bald eagle from their patio as well.

Google
We did a take out order this weekend. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder-- got about 5 spoonfuls of chowder for $12!! Fish and chips were overcooked and under-seasoned. Luna's down the street had much better fish. The fries were hard. They also charged a 20% "takeout gratuity" without any warning ahead of time which is... unheard of. Photo is of the amount of chowder I got...

Google
Absolutely the best seafood in Yachats. We had the clam chowder (best I've had on the coast), seafood pasta, bread and pesto, and mixed grill. The seafood was excellent, perfectly cooked, and nicely seasoned. The prawns on the mixed grill was my favorite item. And we had a table on the patio with a beautiful view of the beach and Yachats River. The service was also great. We didn't feel rushed at all, and the timing of the dishes was relaxed giving us time to enjoy the wine and the view. It's more expensive than any other place in Yachats, but the food quality was worth it.

Yelp
We have dined here a few times and the ambiance, service and food has been wonderful. Tonight, the ambiance and food were still onpoint, but the service missed hitting the mark. We ordered drinks, hot tea for my wife and a bottle of beer for myself. My wife was pleased withe the selection of teas offered and my beer was perfectly chilled. So far, so good. Our Tuna Tataki happy was superb! Fresh taste with a perfect house made furkaki spice. Two for two, going well. Our entrees of Halibut fish and chips and the Ono pasta were delicious and perfectly prepared. We're on a roll! And that is where the bloom fell off the rose. As our plates were cleared, I sat hoping for dessert and a cup of coffee and my wife wanting another hot tea, we were pretty much ignored by our server for over 15 minutes. Finally, out of frustration, I flagged down another server, who was very attentively handling all of his tables every need, and asked if he would kindly inform our server we were ready to leave. She showed a short time later, no apologies for her inattentive service nor any offer to even see a dessert menu. So a disappointing end to an otherwise perfect meal. One last comment, on our online reservation, I made note that we were celebrating our twentieth anniversary, and there was absolutely no mention of it by the receptionist nor the server.

Yelp
My husband and I shared the steak and it was excellent. We also had the beet salad which had excellent flavor. The calamari was the stand out, it was a unique preparation but they knocked it out of the park. Great inventive cocktails too!

Yelp
Ona is my go to whenever I'm in Yachats. Fresh and delightful. From the homemade ramen to the Mexican prawns, it's always cooked to perfection and flavorful.

Yelp
An expensive restaurant to visit . Trendy . Especially in Yachats . It was a half an hour wait to be seated . As I walked in after being texted , I noticed seating at which looked like a wine bar . I sat outside with the only open table. The menu is very seafood friendly . All the based covered . Even wagayu burgers . I ordered the Seafood grill . Shrimp , scallops , and a mini corn on the cob . Other items on my plate , but I do not remember . My dinner was cooked perfectly . I'll most definitely return . Great service , and attention to detail . Oh , just so you know , dogs are allowed at outside seating only .

Yelp
4 stars is the correct number of stars for Ona. I don't know that I've had a more delicious seafood pasta dish than the linguine at Ona, but the price and decor/desperate need for a remodel of the space necessitate a star penalty from an otherwise great spot.

R T.

Yelp
A great place for dinner with excellent vegetarian options. House-made veggie burger is one of the best and the miso mushroom ramen has house-made noodles with rich umami broth that you would find in high-end japanese ramen shops. There's always great soup selections for vegetarians as well and the salads are always refreshing. The service is friendly and the ambience is that of the coast, relax and easy. For those in a hurry, go elsewhere.

Yelp
Valentines dinner was great. Outstanding service from Liz. The pork shank was off the charts!! Thank you for bringing it back to the menu. Please keep on the menu going forward! Also loved the leek appetizer and paprikas soup

Yelp
Multiple visits over our vacation. Can't recommend it more. The bartender was an angel. She helped us celebrate Thanksgiving and 2 days later our anniversary. Food, service and atmosphere was prefect for small town Yachats. We dine here every time we are in town.

Yelp
We did not make a reservation for a super rainy Saturday night in October but since we went in early and it was just two of us, we were able to be sat right away. Multiple people (locals included) recommended Ona to us so we had some pretty high expectations and were aware of the price tags beforehand. They sat us in the covered patio area. There were heaters right above us and though it was a rainy night, it was way too hot for me (to be fair, I get very hot easily). The ambience was great, I loved the artwork they had inside (coastal photograph prints on metal). Our server was kind and helpful but may have been pulled in a lot of directions because we didn't see her too often. There was a different server we saw more often for our area and we both thought she was a bit loud for the space. I don't want to hurt feelings but given the vibe I felt Ona was going for, it seemed out of place. Anyways, food & drink. We ordered a beer and a cider, and the Mexican Prawns for starter, then I ordered the crab cake dinner and my husband got the fish and chips. Nothing needs to be said about the beer but I was pretty surprised that the cider I ordered was barely below room temp. The prawns were great, big, flavorful and well done. The sauce they were with was quite hot but good. The crab cakes had good flavor as did the vegetables, but the rice pilaf was lacking. My husband said his fish and chips were fine, nothing stood out. So why not another star for Ona? Well given that we ended up paying nearly $150, we truly expected an out of this world dinner. There were just a couple too many areas that we felt they didn't quite hit the mark. Additionally, I was expecting more local seafare options on the menu. So don't count Ona out but it just wasn't for us this trip.

Yelp
Food (3 of 5): we've eaten here for a number of years. The food ranges from excellent (scallops special in 2022) to somewhat mediocre and inconsistent. It is too much of a hit and a miss for me to give them a higher rating, but this is one of the better restaurants in the area and one I would definitely recommend giving a try if you need a place to eat. Unlike Luna Sea (very close spot), Ona is not driving out of your way for lunch or dinner. Luna Sea is a bit divvy on the atmosphere, but has some of the best halibut fish & chips (and other options) you're likely to have anywhere. My best meal at Ona was a special with pan fried scallops over risotto. It was outstanding. That was my first meal here years ago and I keep going back hoping for more of that level of magic. Unfortunately, so far that has not happened. Service (3): it's okay level service by mostly inexperienced youngsters working a summer job. In our experience, which is always in the July to August time frame, the service here tends to be by people not as familiar with the menu and food as we'd expect. There's an evident inconsistency that I think comes with the inexperienced and perhaps not quite trained staff. Atmosphere (3): the outside deck can be pleasant for dinner with a somewhat interesting view. Inside is unremarkable and a little bit dated. I suspect we'll continue to stop here for a lunch or a dinner when we're in town. If they have panned seared scallops and risotto on the menu give it a try!

Laddia S H.

Yelp
Limited menu, pricey and the atmosphere is loud. Dinner can easily take two hours due to unprofessional staff. Take out has a 20% add on charge however, take out is not possible unless they are in the mood. This restaurant is only for tourists.

Yelp
The staff was informative and friendly! Our server recommended some great choices The food was outstanding and big portions! We sat outside in covered patio with beautiful view of the water!

Yelp
We think the calamari was awful , it was soggy and mushy, not crispy at all, what made it worse was that they added jalapeño and some weird grass on top, the whole fish was terrible and cost $18 bucks. The chowder was too creamy not much clams in it, they charged that $12 dollars. Overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food.

Jane U.

Yelp
One of our favorite casual classy eateries. The food is creative, beautiful and nicely presented.

Yelp
I ordered the mixed seafood grill, each seafood item on my plate was perfectly cooked. The vegetable medley also excellent. Service was friendly, good timing, along with good ambiance. I'll go again and again. Mike

Yelp
Our party of four had a delightful, interesting meal during the mushroom festival. It was our second moce meal in a row at Ona, after some lousy experiences during Covid era. We love sitting on the balcony, which is heated.

Yelp
Fine dining in a small town. The four of us ate outside overlooking the water. Wall of garage doors that were open since it was a good day. Our waitress was perfect, all about the menu drinks available, was there were needed, but not hovering. Oysters and its garnish dip were some of the best ever said oyster-loving husband. The sourdough filbert bread was FANTASTIC. We ordered seconds. The calamari was also extremely well done. We were pretty full, but ordered two pasta dishes, crabcakes, and salmon. All were prepared very nicely and were more than adequate sizes. A lovely experience.

Yelp
Ug had an enjoyable time here for the first time trying. Food was delicious, on a clear day the view would be magnificent. Ug recommend for romantic outing reserve corner booth in lounge. Ug did not know but once he and mate had dessert and nightcap in cavelounge he knew "next time". Ug saw cavelings of others enjoying themselves so is family friendly as well.

Yelp
I haven't been here for quite sometime but I decided to give it another try sense there was a new chef. All I can say it was amazing! The food was delicious I got the Ona Pasta the pasta was homemade and had a great flavor filled with all sorts of seafood. I also got the Chelsea Rose Albacore Tuna Melt bite into this and it will send you into a different dimension. The ambiance is spectacular I would recommend sitting outside if you can though.

Yelp
If you need a break from the abundance of fish and chips, or fried fish in the area, try this place! The food has a different flavor than other restaurants in the area and it is really good. I had the mushroom pate that came with some tasty accompaniments for an appetizer. I had the salmon for my entree that was served on a delicious sweet corn risotto. They have friendly staff. Their ambience is friendly and relaxing. They have a full bar and a nice selection of wines.

Chris ..

Yelp
Ona Restaurant in Yachats offers the best ocean view in town. The fish sandwich is a highlight, with a delicious curry sauce. While pricey, the outstanding service makes up for it. Skip the smoky fry sauce, though.

Robert O.

Yelp
We loved the warm atmosphere and the friendly and helpful staff. My wife thought the half chicken entree was fabulous. The oysters and scallops in my seafood mixed grill also were excellent. The prawns were tough and the basmati rice and the vegetable medley were average. Overall, enjoyed the dining and would go back again!

Kristen D.

Yelp
This used to be a lovely coastal fine dining experience but the chef must have changed and now it's just pretty basic. Made a special trip recently and was quite disappointed with the downgrade.

Yelp
The food is the best in Yachats by far, the service is good and the ambiance is modern and well done.

Yelp
Wow! Best lunch in such a long time! We ordered a mushroom pate to share, some Thai soup, and beet salad. All were amazing. The pate was like a bruschetta with mushrooms, crumbled cheese, diced olives, pickled onion and dressed greens. So tasty and fresh. The soup had immense flavor with a coconut base, cilantro and a little kick from the peppers. The beet salad had some crunchy nuts, balsamic and of course, delicate beets with super fresh greens. My 3 year old indulged in their buttered noodles and ate slurped every single one down. The plating was adorable as well. Our view from the deck was gorgeous. There was a glimpse of the beach to the west as well as the hills and trees toward to east. So relaxing! The service was excellent. All our questions were answered and the food came quickly. Everyone was friendly. We appreciated our time here and highly recommend for anyone to stop for a quick lunch.

Yelp
This fancy of a restaurant just seems really out of place in such a small coast town. Not what I was anticipating with my young kids. The food was pretty good, but we were really just looking for a snack and so we got 2 kids meals and a pasta dish to share and somehow it was $70+ after tip and we were all still hungry. The seafood pasta we got was very skimpy on the seafood... it had maybe 3 shrimp, 2 scallops, and 4 clams.

Yelp
What's up Yelpies!!! This would have been a 6 star review because the food was amazing. The chef and or cooks know how to cook some amazing food. The unfortunate part was our waitress.. She showed very little interest in getting us additional drinks or our ticket to check out. I mean she was only taking care of the tables to the right of us and the left of us. After a couple attempts to get her attention I waved down another waitress that helped us out. I'm still going back for more because the food was great and I'll just ask for a pitcher Take care Yelpies DMK

Yelp
The service was exceptional! Our waitress was Goldie, she was so kind and attentive. The food was excellent! We ordered the New York steak, fish and chips, Wagyu burger- everything was excellent!!!

Monika M.

Yelp
Yachats is an interesting town. There are not a lot of stellar food haunts there. You go for the ocean, the small community and vibe. I've dined at Ona every time we visit Yachats. Why? Because there are not too many fine dine establishments there. As that's fine, it's usually my birthday when we go. The good: decent wine list and the food is fresh The bad: The service is well... not what you'd expect from a place that charges those prices. I feel every time we've been there, it's pretty much mediocre. I go because of special events, and hope they rise to the occasion of providing stellar service in a beautiful community that really needs a coastal fine dine that's not stuck up on an image they don't possess.

Nat V.

Yelp
The meatloaf was divine! We chose a wine and the waiter kindly suggested a different wine that pairs better with the meatloaf. Wow! We were so impressed! And he was definitely correct! Everything was great, from the food to the service and the ambiance.

Yelp
So they couldn't find our outdoor patio with a view reservation. They accommodated us anyway after a not so friendly greeting. We were a party of 10 so I guess it was an inconvenience not having enough staff. We were told we could wait outside but not in the bar. But then the bartender Louis said we could get drinks at the bar?? Then we were told they could accommodate us at a table for 10 in the bar area and Louis would also be our waiter and he also had to be the restaurant bartender so he was juggling both roles. Anyway Louis was great and apologized repeatedly for our food not coming out in a timely manner because they were short staffed and had lost our reservation which they actually did find. Our family came here for a memorial for our Mom and we were sure she was behind all the confusion . So we eventually got our food and it was ok . Nothing really fabulous but ok and the presentation was lovely. I feel maybe a bit pricey. $35 for fish and chips is a bit much I feel. We of course ordered a lot of alcohol because we had to wait for so long . Again quite pricey for cocktails . For the confusion and our wait time I felt they might of offered us a round maybe? Only 6 of us were drinking. Maybe a complimentary bottle of the house wine? Or maybe a free dessert? Just a free dessert seriously? We still left a very nice gratuity and we hope that the wonderful Louis received it . He sadly was injured during our meal and had to leave.

Liz D.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. We ate on the semi-enclosed porch. Lovely view. This restaurant rivals any we have been at. I had a melt with crab and shrimp accompanied by a fabulous slaw. My husband had something with oysters. Thank you.

joe ..

Yelp
Everything was wonderful. Excellent service and amazing seafood. Highly recommended! Beautiful views.

Deborah S.

Yelp
Our go to dinner spot for 3 years. Food, drinks and presentation are delicious. We have had most items on the menu. I love the beet salad.

Kara L.

Yelp
Very good salmon and stuffed butternut squash blossoms! We had good service and got to sit on the outdoor patio. We were lucky enough to spot a bald eagle they told us had a nest near by! A good dining experience! Also recommend their sourdough with house made pesto!
google avatar

Lori F.

Yelp
They lost our reservation for ten people... after a brief wait we were seated in the bar area- which was fine. But, the prices were a bit high for the limited menu. I personally, was craving salmon- which was served with other things. I JUST wanted a nice piece of salmon. One of our friends thought they should have at least chicken dish. . They did not have a typical seafood menu for us. ‍... go back ? I don't know

Yelp
More employees than I've ever seen in a restaurant. Service was great. Steak was too tuff to eat at $40.00 . The second set were better quality but not to temperature ordered. The mash was really good. The next table returned their dessert saying Theresa's something terribly wrong with it. Hopefully, just a bad case of new employees. Never again.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Traveling with my family and this has been our favorite spot so far. Get the Ona pasta, you won't regret it!

Yelp
We've been to Ona's several times over the years when our family does our annual family visit to Yachats. I realize this time was dinner time (not lunch) and they were busy, but no excuse for poor service. We were sat next to a large table with a crying baby. I ordered a glass of Tempranillo with our dinner. The waitress couldn't hear me and asked me to point to the wine on the list. Apparently I pointed to a Rose' Tempranillo on the wine list not the red Tempranillo. After I was served the Rose' Tempranillo I immediately told the waitress I wanted a red wine. She brought over the menu and pointed to the wine on the list and made it very clear that I got what I ordered. She made no or offer bring me the correct wine. We spent $200 on dinner I will never go back because of a misunderstanding over a $16 glass of wine. Rose' wine does not go with red meat.

Yelp
Thank you Ona for a memorable 40th Anniversary dinner. The crab broth ramen was the best ramen I have EVER had!!! The seafood saffron pasta was sublime! The mushroom pate appetizer was LOVELY!! We WILL be back!!!
google avatar

Darcey H.

Yelp
Ona's attention to detail, beautifully sourced ingredients, warm and inviting atmosphere all make it a place to come back to again and again. Recently we had a dozen of the sweetest oysters with a yuzu granita, the 5 spice calamari with house made hoisin (wow!!), the Albacore Tuna entree that was perfectly balanced with locally foraged mushrooms that were smoked along with bok choy. Also the Ona pasta that was loaded with seafood in the most sublime saffron cream sauce that wasn't too heavy. Really good! Washed it all down with 3 local wines; Albariño, Sangiovese rose, Pinot noir.

Yelp
The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and the wines were top notch! Excellent seafood and steak. Highly recommend for a special treat!

Yelp
We truly enjoyed our experience here. Great service and food. We were lucky to have a beautifully sunny 60+ degree weekend in October in Yachats so we sat outside on the patio. Making a reservation was easy and we were glad to have gotten one because it was very busy the night we went. I doubt we could have walked in without a reservation. Mushroom pâté was delicious! We had never had something like this (without it being an animal product) and it was so tasty. I wish I knew where else I could order this in Portland, or how to make it at home. Clams were great! We wished we had more. Lamb shank was awesome. Next time we are in Yachats we will surely come back.

Kathleen B.

Yelp
Food was ok but the service stunk. Waited forever then had to ask a waitress if she could wait on us, didn't check back. We had made a reservation for the following night and canceled it.
google avatar

Robert E.

Yelp
There is a lot of variety in the menu. American ans Asian fusion. I had the ramen bowl. The broth is made with spicy pork so it is fatty and flavorful. The shrimp are large and delicious. My wife had a burger. It was good but the made it twice and overcooked it each time--it was well done. This is odd because on the menu they have, in bold, that it is MEDIUM RARE. still, a fun atmosphere while also being more up scale.

Kristin G.

Yelp
Second time coming to Ona and the seafood was so delicious. It was just as good as I remembered in 2020! Waitress was attentive and quick.

E S.

Yelp
The food was really good especially the clams! A great find along the coast, ended up returning the next night because we loved the clams so much!

LC M.

Yelp
Probably the best restaurant in Yachats if you are looking to get away from pub fare. Ambiance is good, nice view of the beach from the outer patio. Prices are high but not unreasonable.

Doug H.

Yelp
Food and service were both excellent. Didn't pay much attention to the ambiance. Very nice wait staff.
