Chose this restaurant based on its glowing reviews and the place left me impressed for sure. A good collection of drinks - cocktails, Greek beers and wines. Tried the Fix Hellas Premium Lager Beer and highly recommend it. Every food item on the menu looked appetizing. Decided to try the falafel and the Avgolemono Soup. The falafel is great but the creamy lemon rice soup was exquisite. Definitely give it a try. For the main course, it was an easy choice to pick the platter so we could try a lil bit of everything. The gyro and sausage were good but I would probably try the salads the next time I'm here. The flaming cheese that another table ordered was a nice display of fire and show. Choice of desserts are tough - tried the homemade buttermilk pie, which is a must try. Did not care much for the Greek Pie. Service was fast and efficient. The owner was checking in with guests to ensure they had a pleasant meal, which speaks to the top notch food and service. The ambiance of the restaurant is great - they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking is available and getting a table was not tough on a week day evening. The restaurant got busy as the evening progressed. Pricing : Moderate. Will I return? : For sure and highly recommend this restaurant for some authentic food and a great time.

This is one of our favorites in Rockwall. We come here regularly for brunch and dinner. They have great cocktails and they regularly rotate beers from local breweries. I lhave had every omelet and they’re all delicious. If we go for dinner we always get the calamari or the flaming cheese. If you love cheese, you have to get the flaming cheese! My go to dinner is the gyro salad.they have a great patio too. Love this place!

Great spot for some delicious Greek Food and great menu options. Had a little bit of everything over the past few visits and honestly I always leave satisfied. Fish options, Meat, Veggies, etc all here and some great appetizers. My only issue with this place is that it’s a bit on the pricey side. I eats at expensive restaurants I don’t mind footing a bill but for $25-38 dollar plates and a $150 tab every time I eat here just doesn’t feet worth it for me. In NY I can get the same exact plates for $12-$24. There’s always always an issue with the waiters, takes a long time to come back around to get assistance. 3x in a row I had to wait nearly 15+ mins for the waiter to pick up my tab or see if I need a refill on my drink and I always have to wave someone down. Not the biggest deal and not a deal breaker for me since I enjoy the food but I thought it was worth the mention.

This is the old Standard Service spot, and nothing changed on the inside, which makes for an easy turnaround. Great vibe! Great drinks! Chicken, Lamb, or beef is good. Burger with Fries Great! I have had better chicken (taste, how cooked, portion) from Luna Grill. However, I will still return here for other items.

Honestly, I can't say enough about this place, it was AMAZING! We stopped in after a new construction appointment with a client in Fate. We had the Greek salad, the gyro platter with feta fries & green beans, and the hummus appetizer. Not a single thing was short of perfection and the portions were ample. The salad was fresh and crisp, the gyro platter was fantastic, the hummus was creamy and superb. The feta fries as a side are a MUST. We had a couple of beers, I had the Mythos, which h was perfect for the 106° day it was and my wife had the Kona big wave. Michael behind the bar was fabulous, great conversationalist, very knowledgeable and skillful. Can't wait to have "the dude" & "the garden flower" next time we are in. Great food, Great drinks, Great atmosphere....the hostess was a tad apathetic and uninviting, but an overall wonderful experience!

I just moved to the area and decided to stop here for dinner. The restaurant itself is small but looks a bit grand because of the high ceilings and tall bar area - the restaurant had a nice layout. To start out we had the Spanakopita to share. The first bite was really good but the second bite was cold. We still ate it anyway because we were starving - it was good, just cold. I went ahead and ordered one of the craft beers because it is after all a tap house but I never got it because the server hardly came around. The kitchen also has an open concept kitchen so you can see into it. What we noticed while waiting for our food was that the kitchen expo didn't wear a hat or hairnet and consistently kept wiping their face while preparing food - it was a bit of a put off. We did enjoy our food though. We had the Mahi Mahi and the Lamb Souvlaki Platter and they were both well made. My fish was cooked perfectly and the roasted pepper sauce made the dish taste great with the orzo. The lamb was also very good and the green beans were amazing - the seasoning on them really made them shine. I also had the Baklava Cheesecake and I really enjoyed it, crispy yet creamy with a wonderful honey. For me, this restaurant could easily be a 5 star place but it needs to work on a few things including its service. It was simply far too slow to have such slow service. I might give this restaurant another try because I do like Greek food and the food I had was for the most part pretty good.

Visited for the first time on Friday, and was highly impressed. First off, the tall ceilings with the industrial feel and lights was pretty nice, especially with the beautiful bottles of honey and liquor along the tall shelving. Pretty little Greek statuettes here and there, and the open space on a breezy sunny day was perfection. I haven’t had Greek food before, and everything I ate here was delicious and unique!! The shrimp souvlaki I ordered was cooked to perfection, and the green beans were PHENOMENAL. Soft, fresh pita bread came with a yummy greek yogurt based dill/cucumber dip with my meal, and the cranberry martini I had to drink had a perfect amount of vodka in it. It tasted good, and I was feeling happy with only one drink (I’m a lightweight and don’t drink often) My server, Jennifer, was AMAZING. Great service with super friendly recommendations, she felt like an old friend helping you get a good meal. Hands down, I will DEFINITELY come back here again! Ask for Jennifer as your server!

Food, service, the vibe.... All perfection!!! Drinks were amazing, as well!! Bring your appetite. Our waiter was also a treat. Highly recommend this place!!

DO NOT EAT THE SALMON IT IS NOT GOOD. ALERT. NOT GOOD. Got food poising for two days off of the salmon plate. Plus everything but the potatoes was bland man. Wasted $27 on this crap. The service from the front desk was splendid though and the inside also looks nice enough.

Tucked away in an unlikely spot but what a find! Loved everything about Onassis Greek Taphouse . . . Especially the food. Highly recommend.

The falafel is so light and fluffy! The chicken cabobs and hummas trio are also delish. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Nice staff, clean and great food!

The staff was very welcoming and the inside was very cute and comfy. The food tasted really good, would recommend this place!

Went here with a friend a while ago for the first time and I definitely enjoyed what I ordered. Got the Chicken Souvlaki Platter and for dessert, got the Baklava Cheesecake. The chicken souvlaki platter comes with fresh pita bread, two skewers of marinated chicken breast, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, tzatziki and your choice of two sides. I decided to get rice and broccoli. The chicken was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The baklava cheesecake was amazing! It's double layered cheesecake and baklava drizzled with honey and topped with spiced, crushed walnuts. Customer service was great and overall, it's a pretty good spot.

So this place was pretty surprising! I thought it would be one of those beautiful new places where the food is very sub-par and the prices are up high. But I was pleasantly surprised! This place has some good food and the ambiance is over the top! We went when it was slow so service was on it! I need to go back to see if it deserves more than a 4 but you definitely won't miss if you're looking for a good first experience! Ok now bye bye then!

Ordered multiple items and got food poisoning. I called and was told that a manager would get back to me and that didnt happen. They totally ignored me!

Great place, I was here on opening day, and had not stopped by in over a year. Facility looks awesome, clean, and tidy. Staff was pleasant & helpful. I spent the morning out in 104° heat documenting the struggle that Great Egrets were having as this heat wave was shrinking the lake that they fish. Some of the birds were chasing lizards in the grass since fish were staying in deeper water. I took a break in a Starbucks, drinking a refresher, cooling down. As I started driving again, I was getting hungry, very! So, looking around, I made a turn that put me here at Onassis! Greek Salad, nice cold & crisp greens, and ice water. Big salad for the price! Then, I added a small Avgolemono soup, to get a contrast flavor to the salad. Lemony zest, and this meal restored my soul. Thank you!

the most mouth watering food ever. The place is connected to a CrossFit so when you walk in, it smells like chopped threw up. But as soon as you enter the restaurant, it smells as delicious as the food tastes. We started with the spanakopita, a feta and spinach filled in phyllo dough = yummy. Then we tried the chicken and lamb kabob platters, which was tender, tasty, and juicy!!! The lamb was my personal favorite!

The appearance invites you to enter and consume the restaurant. My experience with the staff was not the best, the restaurant was empty and the entire service was rushed. As an appetizer I ordered a lentil soup which tasted like cheap tomato sauce and for the main course I had lamb skewers with rice pilaf and luckily for me the rice was raw.

Best Greek food hands down! Definitely wouldn't expect this in Rockwall! Delicious! Definitely visit this hidden gem! Chicken skewers, hummus, pita bread and OMG those potatoes!!

Well, we thought we had found our Greek restaurant in the area and had ordered from Onassis three times in the past month. Always had great food. But tonight's order unfortunately will be the last. We ordered two gyro platters and as you can see from the picture the meat was awful! I can only assume that they carved it off the vertical roaster after it had been sitting for hours. Burnt and dry. Both plates. We had to pick thru the "this is decent" pieces to make half a meal. My wife, who takes her steak medium well, even looked at me and commented on how dry and burnt the meat was. Extremely disappointed. In fairness they do have good hummus and top notch fries. But I don't spend $60 on delivery for fries.

This was a pleasant surprise. I had the chicken pita wrap with the roasted potatoes. The sauce was amazing and the potatoes caught me completely off guard. You get 3 wedges and they're seasoned to perfection. Portions were spot on! Oddly enough our visit was made eventful because the staff didn't have the key to the front door and you had to go to the bathroom next door. I think we were all good sports about the situation because it eventually got resolved

It was just okay. I literally can't even remember what I ordered. I think I had some blistered broccoli. I wouldn't go back. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't good or great.

Food is always great Service is right on spot Can't neat the tabuloi. Octopus appetizer grilled is the best I have ever eaten.

Tried this place for the first time today. Service was quick and food was awesome. I've had many different gyros over the years and the original gyro at this place was the best I've EVER had. So so good. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely love our meal and dessert! This was my first time and wife's second, shw is right, food is delicious. I ate half of my lemon cake, because my wife begged me for the other half. I had the gyros salad, the gyros were so tender and her meal was completely on point, specially the potatoes and green beans. We will be here a few times a month.

This will definitely be a new normal place for my husband and I to come into town to go eat now. This place is hands down the best Greek restaurant I've ever been to. All of the food we ordered was really fresh and the taste pallet threw me for a whirl wind, it was so good. The service here is on par too, the waiter we had knew the whole menu really well and very knowledgeable about everything there. We got our food in a very timely manner. There really isn't anything bad I could say about this place cause everything was so good. Hell, even the layout and decor of the place is set up really well. We will definitely tell everyone about this place cause coming here is a whole experience in itself.

Sooooo good. Hummus Trio was so delicious. We were celebrating a birthday with a party of 6. Our waitress Presely was amazing. She was on top of everything, please make sure you take her suggestions. We had Hummus, 3 Greek salads, 4 Greek chicken Alfredos, shrimp platter and Hercules Pita plus dessert. The food was so good and flavorful. Drinks are strong and delicious... mamma Mia, some blue drink and Greek Margaritas. We will be back.

What an amazing brunch! So glad we discovered Onassis, owned by Opa in Rowlett. We loved the Rockwall location when it was Standard Service. Brunch was delicious as well as the Brunch Cocktails and Beer. Definitely Recommended.

Service was great and so was the food! The environment comfortable and classy. The calamari is some of the best I've had.

It was terrible. We ordered the trio of dips, which was pretty good, and the pita was decent. Other than that, it was nasty. The platter was disgusting. Looked gross, tasted worse. The gyro meat was like eating cigar wrappers. The one potato cut up in three different size pieces and buried under stuff. The super dry and bland chicken skewers. It was all awful. The worst part though, it was dirty. Really dirty. This is a picture of the wall and window our booth was on. I don't think it's ever been cleaned. The floors were almost as bad and the service was slow and not helpful with suggestions (when we asked), at all. Overall I actually feel a little queasy leaving this place

What a treat! We had an amazing greek dinner last night at this restaurant! I was craving some good hummus and wow! It was delicious- we had the trio - which Included regular hummus / Fire Feta Hummus - (my favorite) and Roasted Pepper dip served with pita and veggies! We shared a Souvlaki dish and a large greek salad! Portions were more than enough and just delicious! The restaurant manager / partner was very friendly and took time to chat with us at the end of the night telling us the story of how this place came to fruition! Our server was awesome! Needless to state we will be back! Great atmosphere, music and modern - Soho vives!

I didn't even think I liked greek food until I tried this place. Absolutely my new favorite restaurant! My husband, who is never impressed when we go out, agrees with me. The food is heavenly, the atmosphere is great, and our service has been excellent each time! GO! Go now!

I love Onassis they have delicious food and their service is great. I go there after work and the bartender working is an extremely nice guy. Highly recommended if your out and about looking for places to try, or just want a burger.

I have always ordered to go but got the chance to be in the restaurant last night and the food was amazing. The bartender and general manager were both very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely be coming back soon

Highly recommend! This was a super fun date night place with amazing food! The hummus and fire feta were so good and the Greek Alfredo my hubs ordered was absolutely delicious. Tim, the GM, came by the table and talked to us about the drink menu and then talked us into some lemon cake. It was to DIE for!! We ate one and took another to go. :) Great service by Jules (who was an absolute hoot) and took care of our every need. Very friendly people!! We will be back. Very, very soon!

My wife and I were visiting Rockwall for the weekend. Found this restaurant on Yelp and it didn't disappoint! We split a spanakopita & Onassis Platter, it was just enough! Wonderful service & atmosphere! We will go back when in town again!

Perfect for a Mediterranean escape. I love the lime non alcoholic drink too. Brunch was good there with a group too.

Date night at Onassis! Didn't get any bar drinks but watched the bartender and he was on point. The atmosphere is great. There's an appetizer you can get that they light on fire and the server shouts Opa! The host didn't seem super happy to be there but our server was nice. My husband had the Big Fat Greek Burger with amazing feta fries. I had the Lamb Souvlaki with stewed green beans and red potatoes. The pita and Tzatziki that came with the dish were fantastic. Ended our meal with a 10/10 baklava cheesecake. Very unique place and wonderful food.

Food is okay, my wife likes it better than me but she likes salads...I prefer meat and meals I can't make better at home! Not my favorite at all then getting tagged with 9 dollar glasses of draft beer, I probably will not go back....60 bucks for a snack meal.....

The food at Onassis is great! It doesn't matter what you order - it's all great and consistently great. But what really sets it apart for me is the cocktail menu and bar staff. We go to Onassis a couple times a month (more in summer) and we usually sit at the bar to eat dinner or lunch because the bartenders are great people and we always meet interesting folks every time we go. It's not too loud, the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

Great ambiance to match the great, Greek food. Bacon wrapped dates are a meal in itself! The bartender was super attentive and knowledgeable with both the drinks and food.

Yummy food, just wish they'd be a bit more generous with their lamb in their lamb souvlaki. Must try the cucumber lime refreshing non alcoholic drink( refills too) Lots of yummy desserts as well. Worth checking out

It's great to have a local family owned Greek restaurant here in Rockwall. Great atmosphere and good food. Extensive menu and bar items.

Always great service. Creative drinks and great food. The location is a bit awkward but once you find it you should make it a regular stop.

Wife and I arrived around 11:50 am on Sunday (7/24/22) to find the place pretty empty. Stated filling up fast though. Menu is unique and fun to explore - not your normal 'Merica food. Wife had the Trojan and it was good. Had real pork sausage. It came with a crème brûlée that was to die for. and I did the Lambowski. The lamb was so goood! Total bill was $47. Only downer: the Greek coffee was good but came in a teensy-weensy cup.

We ordered zucchini fritters, a Greek salad, lentil soup, lamb steak, mahi mahi with risotto, and cheesecake. EVERYTHING we put in our mouths was delicious. I do not think I have ever said that about a restaurant. It was so good that there was nothing left to even take home. You must eat at Onassis!

I go here pretty much on the regular. The food is amazing but man, the service is something else. We have this guy I don't know why we always get him, he always drags a chair across the floor loudly sits down in it and looks at us and goes.... What do you want, while he's sitting there it's pretty wild does anyone else know who I'm talking about?

My wife and I ate at onassis for the first time today. I did not know what to expect, and in general I like Greek food. We both had pitas. Lamb and chicken. The food is absolutely amazing. Well prepared and very tasty. We also had a salad and it was excellent. Their tzatziki's sauce was great. I definitely recommend checking it out.

Had lunch today (10/6/2023) about 11am when they open with a friend who lives in the area and had ordered online delivery from them before. We ordered the Dolmades appetizer I've had these other places and never really been a big fan but my friend likes them and I'm glad they did cause my taste buds where blown away with flavor and they are a new favorite at least here they are. We had a chance to talk with the General Manager and all the recipes are authentic from the owner who's family is from Greece! There are 2 restaurants they own in Metroplex but both are under different names. Either way you will not go wrong with the food here, outstanding. Also, enjoyed a cocktail they all have great unique names, I enjoyed the "Mermaid Water" actually just a "Little Mermaid" Very cool place too, relaxing and comfortable. Not to chill but not to stuffy, it's a nice mix for all ages 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's... you get the idea. If you like Greek food or been wanting to try this is the place hands down, oh and don't pass up the baklava cheesecake even if you have to share or take it home, amazing!!!

Onassis has great food and fun atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent and the service was awesome! Definitely recommend!

The food is always fast and fresh. Service is always top notch. Not too expensive and never too busy that you have to wait long. This place is A1

Delicious food. I can't think of a single thing I didn't enjoy. This is a hidden gem in Rockwall that needs to no longer be hidden!

Wow this place exceeded my expectations! We got To-Go so I can't speak for staff or the inside but the food was stupendous. They got our order correct and everything was still warm The hummus was extremely fresh and flavorful alongside the perfect pillowy bread for dipping. The rice was incredible. If I could find a recipe I'd make that rice at home. Unbelievable how tasty that rice was. As for the falafel pita, the falafel was desert dry unfortunately. I didn't like it at all but I'll for sure be ordering from here as often as I can when I have the money. 10/10 fries, pita, and hummus wow!

We waited at host stand for several minutes before anyone showed up to greet us. Once seated all the games began with horrible service (order was wrong and she never checked on us after serving). My wife's omelette was inedible because of the burnt bottom. My omelette had no veggies and was dry. Not one person even checked on us until the check came and we are still waiting on our French toast! After complaining we got...wait for it...NOTHING! Both of us were in the restaurant business and there is no excuse for this.

Great food and service! Excellent beer options too! Go early for dinner gets busy after 6pm
