Across the Country, Tiramisu is Getting An Ingredient Rebrand | Eater

"A Manchester pasta restaurant that popularized a practical “tiramisu drawer” — an easy-access holding place for tiramisu during service — via a viral video that amassed about 24.6 million views and sparked a global trend of tiramisu-drawer recreations." - Bettina Makalintal

I came here because I had heard of the Tirimisu drawer and I love tirimisu... Firstly the service was impeccable, absolutely delightful waitress who made a fuss of my son which was lovely. The focaccia with the different butters was really tasty, but extremely filling, maybe better with more than just 1 adult and a child sharing 😅 The kids pizza was really tasty and my son really enjoyed that, the fettuccine was a bit poor for the price, wouldn't get that again. Finally the thing I came for, the Tirimisu...it certainly looked the part and my son enjoyed it, but I personally enjoy the hit of alcohol that you get when eating it (I'm not a drinker, but I appreciate that flavour in my tirimisu). Overall with a well deserved tip, I spent £50 for the 2 of us. I'd probably go again, but maybe just for the pizza...

Love the pasta we had spicy crab and beef ragu, the texture of the pasta was so nice, we also loved the courgette fritters, it was a perfect pair with cocktails. Services are spectacular, Ella who served our table was so kind and considerate explaining the menu throughout, and chef was so generous and sweet offering our dog a pizza treats 🩵 will definitely be back!

It wasn’t possible to make a reservation by phone, so I went a day early hoping to book a spot, but was told they only take walk-ins on the day. I went in just before 6 p.m. on Sunday and luckily got a table for three. The menu isn’t big, but there were too many tempting choices—so the three of us ended up ordering four main dishes. The girl who served us was very friendly and professional. I overheard another customer saying the restaurant only opened last year. I really liked their soda—it paired well with the food, refreshing and tasty. All the dishes were great; nothing was disappointing. Highly recommend the pumpkin frittedish. Excellent value for money: delicious food, quick service, and every staff member had their own personality while still being polite. Definitely worth a try.

Joanna our server from start to end was super warm and welcoming. All the food from the starter to the dessert it was all out of the world. I am definitely coming back for more. It was my birthday today and I had a splendid time. Thank you once again for the amazing service. Shout out to Joanna for being incredible and really friendly whilst kindly wishing me a happy birthday too ❤️

Really enjoyed our visit! The atmosphere is nice and laid-back, and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend the pumpkin fritte for a starter, was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The restaurant is designed for sharing, so we had two pastas and a pizza between us, which worked really well. Prices are reasonable and the staff were lovely, taking the time to explain the menu. We had to book well in advance to get a table on a Thursday evening, they do take walk-ins, but were telling people it would be about an hour’s wait. Definitely worth it though, we’ll definitely be back!

What. A. Spot. We visited Onda Pasta Bar after seeing it recommended online and, honestly, weren’t sure if it was just all hype... Spoiler: it’s definitely not. This place is the real deal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing great music, warm vibes, and a team that clearly love what they do. A special shoutout to Eve, our server, who was an absolute gem! So sweet, patient, and genuinely helpful she walked us through the menu, gave us her top picks, and wow did she deliver. Every dish was 10/10 fresh, flavour-packed, and clearly made with love. And let’s talk value, as a couple of Southerners used to paying a lot more for even smaller plates... we were blown away by how reasonable everything was. The portions might look modest, but don’t be fooled we left absolutely full and happy. Drinks? Delicious. And of course… the famous tiramisu? Worth the trip alone! Thank you to the whole Onda team faultless from start to finish. We’re already looking for an excuse to come back. Massive love and best of luck, you deserve all the success!

Lovely atmosphere. Food was sadly underwhelming. We got two of the beef shin ragu pasta and 1 nduja pizzetta to share between 2. The pasta portion is relatively small for your average adult, and there was barely any meat in the sauce. The pizzetta was the star of the show, but overpriced for a miniature pizza. Tiramisu was okay. Not bad, but I've had better. Letdown by the fact that they don't do takeaway boxes - my friend was hoping to take leftovers away but ended up having to force finishing the pasta. I would probably have given 3-3.5 stars on the day, but this has now gone down to 1. I realised after checking my bank statement that I have been charged £30 more than what I was due (waitress likely mistyped on card machine as my friend got charged the correct half of the bill). Emailed the restaurant (Thursday morning) to ask for a refund and got an automated email saying that I'd be getting a response within 48hours. Four days later (Sunday night), still no response and now the restaurant won't be open for another 2 days. There is no contact number available either which means I'll have to physically go back there to get this sorted swiftly. Awful customer service. I understand it's a small business, but don't set out expectations you can't meet in terms of response times. I'd be fuming if I wasn't relatively local and had no way of getting back to the restaurant. Worth considering providing a number for people to be able to have an actual conversation with a human being instead of relying on emails that will likely be forgotten at the bottom of the inbox. After I get my refund, will absolutely not be coming back.

absolutely worth the hype! the food is incredible, everything we ate was amazing! Slightly over priced tiramisu, however it tasted incredible. The pasta is amazing, you can see them cooking everything fresh, fridges full of pasta and tiramisu!! Well worth a visit - I would 100% return!!
