Onda Pura - Surf Center

Fantastic Surf School and coaches! Awesome staff and spot to learn to surf. Tiago was my main point of contact before my trip and during my schooling, and communication throughout it all was great - from the booking and the online message service, to whatsapp-ing and in person during my stay. He gave lots of useful local information as well as loads of support while learning. Bernado and Jorge were my two main coaches and they were both brilliant! They gave a lot of clear, constructive advice and coaching everyday. The whole team at Onda Pura were fun, enthusiastic and really friendly. Feeling so welcomed helped bring the best out of me too! All the staff were very kind, helpful and nothing seemed to ever be too much trouble. It was a brilliant experience for me and would recommend Onda Pura for any other first time surfers looking to learn. I wish I could have stayed longer! The 10 lesson package was perfect with lessons in the morning and afternoon.

I had an amazing time surfing with instructor Bernardo! From the very beginning, he made me feel comfortable and confident in the water. He is not only a skilled and professional instructor, but also extremely kind, sweet, and patient. He explained everything clearly, paid attention to details, and always encouraged me with a big smile. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to improve much faster than I expected and enjoy every single wave. Beyond just teaching surfing, he created such a fun and positive atmosphere that made the whole experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a surfing class or tour, I cannot recommend Bernardo enough. It was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had, and I would love to come back again!

On September 25, 2025, my husband and I tried surfing for the first time at a beginner lesson with Onda Pura, and it was amazing! The organization was excellent, we received answers to all our questions in advance. Our group had six people, and our instructor Bernardo is a highly skilled instructor, he explained the theory clearly, demonstrated the technique on the sand, gave each of us individual tips, and checked everyone’s technique, speaks excellent English. The hour and a half flew by, and he paid attention to every participant. It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience, and after this lesson we immediately wanted to come back for more. Very nice surf center. Everyone there takes care of the surfers with full dedication. Starting with the organizers, to the teachers. Well networked, they knew about a knowledge, and thus made it an unforgettable experience even for a complete newcomer. Stay as you are, also with your Social projects. Highly recommended

The best school on the beach! I spent two weeks in Porto and had a chance to try surfing for the first time in my life. So, I followed my friend's advice and chose Onda Pura. It was the right choice, I managed to ride a wave during my first "class". Definitely coming here again next time I'm in Porto. P.S. Shoutout to Bernardo, you're a great teacher!

Someone in Porto recommended this surf school to me and it was the best choice to go there! The beach is really nice, also for beginners and the school is very professional and welcoming. I had a lesson with Bernardo and he did a fantastic job in teaching and motivating me! If you plan to go surfing this is your school!
