The Hit List: New London Restaurants To Try Right Now - London - The Infatuation

"The front door at One Club Row is the hottest place to pose in east London. But the restaurant brings more than just New York-cool and branded matchboxes to Shoreditch. Juicy burgers come with a dipping sauce richer than the collective net value of the room (high), an unassuming lobster croquette demands the immediate formation of a squealing fan club (us and the charming waiter), and everyone who crosses the threshold (through a sexy curtain) is made to feel like a 10. This is less dining room and more convention of London’s most charismatic people. Befriend a restaurateur on the Lower East Side or religiously check the reservations link like the rest of us schmucks. If you’re around Shoreditch, keep an eye on One Club Row’s ‘Walk-In’ light box outside the door. If it’s on, there are seats at the bar." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The 25 Best Birthday Dinner Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"One Club Row’s door—shrouded in graffiti, a touch elusive—is the hottest place to pose in east London. And up the stairs a fabulous scene awaits. A pianist sips a drink midway through performing and over in naughty-kid corners (which you should make a beeline for), groups dunk juicy burgers into au poivre sauce richer than the collective net value of the room (high). Afters? Downstairs at sister pub, The Knave Of Clubs. Befriend a restaurateur on the Lower East Side or religiously check the reservations link like the rest of us schmucks. If you’re around Shoreditch, keep an eye on One Club Row’s ‘Walk-In’ light box outside the door. The Toughest Reservations In London Right Now (& How To Get Them) - London - The Infatuation

"Verdict: Suspend your disbelief as you get off at Shoreditch High Street because once you go through One Club Row’s discreet alleyway doorway, everything about this place screams New York glamour. Are These London Restaurants Worth The Hype? - London - The Infatuation

"The Verdict: It’s an irresistibly sexy little slice of New York City in Shoreditch. With its dingy Shoreditch alleyway entrance and martini menu, One Club Row knows what it’s doing. And guess what? It works. A hazily lit dining room where rosy pink burgers are dipped in au poivre sauce, this isn’t so much a love letter to New York dining as it is a racy 1am DM. It’s a gorgeous way to have one too many and nothing about the menu will challenge you. Nor will it disappoint. Befriend a restaurateur on the Lower East Side or religiously check the reservations link like the rest of us schmucks. Absolutely blown away by my experience at Club Row. Everything was just so good — from the scallops and steak to the BBQ carrots (yes, carrots!) and even the simple French fries. Every bite was incredible. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were on point. But what really stood out was the service. Our waiter Jamie was so kind and attentive — when my sugar levels dropped, he brought me a Coke right away and checked in later to make sure I was feeling better. It’s little things like that that make a meal unforgettable. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. I would say that sitting at the bar is actually preferable as the staff are so friendly and chatty that it adds to the experience. The atmosphere is so convivial that it isn’t long before diners are chatting over the food and cocktails as if the are old friends! The attention to detail was most exemplified with the front of house staff saying “take care Simon” as I left. There’s no need to have remembered, but it left me feeling full of heart as well as full of delicious food!

Fabulous new restaurant that was outstanding in all respects - service, drinks, food and ambience. Waiter was excellent with dietaries and recommended delicious dishes. Interior is beautiful, you feel like you are transported to a hideaway bar in New York. Live pianist was an added special touch and added to the charming and intimate vibe. Great place to go with friends, family and date night!

Absolutely brilliant evening at One Club Row — this place oozes charm from the moment you walk through the door. The service throughout was flawless, attentive without ever being overbearing, with a team who genuinely knew the menu and offered spot-on recommendations, especially when it came to cocktails. Speaking of which — the cocktails were nothing short of prefect. Each one balanced and well presented without fuss. The Paloma was the best I’ve had. The food was equally outstanding. Every dish was well-paced and packed with flavour. As we dined, a live pianist played in the background. It wasn’t intrusive — just the perfect soundtrack to a buzzy, atmospheric evening with a touch of old-school glamour. All in all, One Club Row delivers on every front: brilliant food, impeccable service, incredible cocktails and a vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Can’t wait to come back.

Had a great time, service was absolutely impeccable and the vibe is great. We came to celebrate our engagement and the staff were great to us. I loved the food but.. everything was over seasoned to the point that one of our mains was unenjoyable. It's a shame, just far too heavy on salt which really overpowered some great cooking and menu options. My partner didn't enjoy a couple of courses and I'd have to agree for hers, the burger particularly was unenjoyable. luckily for me mine were lovely, steak tartare and schnitzel were fantastic, but it is a deal breaker for a review. Always a bit too awkward to mention or to send back. I'd go back again but some slight caution there.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had while in London! Service was 10/10, we had a bar seat and the bartenders were extremely friendly and chatty. Great energy. Waiter was extremely helpful to us and the food was amazing. Curried moules will sit on my mind for awhile!

One Club Row got a lot of hype right from the time they opened. Run by New Yorkers apparently and who doesn’t enjoy eating out in New York? I visited with a friend on a Thursday evening. The speakeasy style entrance from a graffiti covered alleyway was pretty cool, with a staircase then leading you up to the restaurant. The decor was quite nice and although not (yet) crowded there was already a bit of a buzz in the dining room. The two of us ordered the jalapeño gougeres, scallops, tuna crudo, moules frites, the burger and the sirloin steak, along with a Caesar salad. For dessert we shared the cheesecake. The food was generally very good, each individual item we tried was well prepared. The burger is being proclaimed to be one of the best in London, I’m not sure I would go that far but it was pretty solid, and cooked to a level of pinkness that most places seem afraid to offer nowadays. Service was super friendly (definitely felt more New York on this aspect) but slow at times. I could see that our server had a few too many tables to look after, despite her best efforts. It was hard to flag down people, especially towards the end of our meal. The bill came to £272, of which £106 was spent on drinks. Within reason for our sizeable dinner. Overall while it did not quite deliver the New York experience I was hoping for and it is probably a bit overhyped, it was still a very enjoyable dinner in a trendy setting with amicable service. 4.5 stars.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was excellent and most of the food was great, though it was on the pricier side. We came for dinner and between the three of us, we shared the lobster and ham croquettes (tasty little bites), roasted scallops (good), barbecued asparagus (flavourful thanks to the labneh, hazelnut and lemon but the asparagus was overcooked), steak tartare (good but nothing special), sirloin (perfectly cooked), pork schnitzel (this was rich but tasty), caesar salad (fairly average), fries (a solid side for the steak and pork), purple sprouting broccoli (sadly overcooked and mushy) and the rhubarb creme brulee (nice end to the meal).
