Where to Eat and Drink Around Rehoboth and Dewey Beach | Eater DC

"Make reservations for the dining room or the patio at this unassuming American restaurant and farm that grows its own berries and herbs for dishes and cocktails. One Coastal name-checks other nearby farms on a menu that includes options like carrot soup with pea tendrils, country-fried quail, and chicken and dumplings." - Julekha Dash

A wonderful dinner as always! One Coastal is a hidden gem of Fenwick Island! A quaint restaurant, and a James Beard nominee, I always love dining here and the meals are always exceptional. The dining area is on the smaller side, but that just makes it more personable and homey. Family owned restaurant that just gets better and better every time I go. Whenever someone asks me for a recommendation for dinner, this is always one of my top spots to recommend to anyone visiting!! I couldn’t speak higher of this place is I wanted to! It’s exceptional!

Google
This is hands-down the best restaurant on Fenwick Island. My wife and I have visited One Coastal two years in a row now, and our most recent visit was even better than the last. The mind of One Coastal's chef must be bursting with creativity. Every component of each dish is absolutely perfectly. The duck breast entree is one of the best meals I've ever eaten in my life! The only negative about this restaurant is that I think the cocktails are overpriced for the quality you receive, but thankfully the same cannot be said for the food and dessert. If you visit Fenwick during the summer, make a reservation here. You won't be disappointed!

If I had to pick a last meal it would be from here. We recommend this to one of our friends and said “we would pay for their entire check if they did not like it.” That’s how confident we are about this place. I went for my birthday and it left me speechless. The flavors from my bar drinks to the food were all married to each other and blended seamlessly. Even though it was crowded the space felt calm and loving. The server was amazing. We found out that it is a wife and husband duo and a backstory behind the place and I don’t know how I could love a place more. Definitely will be back !!!

Food is phenomenal and looks incredible. Every dish wowed. The cocktails were to die for and dessert was stellar. Making this a new regular spot for beach trips!

Google
First time at One Coastal, with no reservation and they were still able to accommodate. Although, I'd recommend a reservation as their seating is somewhat limited and they seem to fill up, and for good reason... The plating was exceptional, the food was phenomenal and the service from door to table was outstanding. The homemade Cacio e Pepe was so delicious, I can hardly wait to return. Bravo!

Arrived at 4:30pm to wait for a first-come, first-served bar seat. Outside is very cute and welcoming. Made it to the bar promptly at 5pm. Wine selection ok; fortunate they had a bottle of Provence Rose. Started with the Beet Salad (FANTASTIC!!), tuna Aguachile (super-fresh and chilled) and the honey bread with delicious butter. Flank steak prepared to perfection. The Cacio E Pepe was served piping hot but too salty. Chocolate Martini and Coconut Cake for dessert were consumed in record time. Love the open kitchen concept. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Little hidden (no longer) gem in the corner of an inconspicuous strip center. Try it.

Google
Creatively presented and delicious food. It’s an upscale atmosphere but very warm and welcoming service, not pretentious at all! NGL we were a little nervous about bringing our one year old but they were very accommodating. He loved trying all of our dishes, and bites of the Parker house rolls kept him happy and mostly quiet all meal long! FYI they have high chairs. This was such a nice end to our Fenwick Island stay!

Google
Hands down the best restaurant in the entire area! The food was amazing, so thoughtful and creative. I love that everything is seasonal and locally sourced, and even better, they do it right. The menu is constantly changing, which keeps things fresh and exciting. That kind of rotation keeps things fresh and exciting, and you can really tell the chefs are passionate and creative with their approach. Of course, food makes or breaks a restaurant, and this place nailed it, but the service? Also impeccable! It was my birthday, and they brought out complimentary champagne, wrote me a birthday card, and made the whole night feel incredibly special. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. Overall, just a wonderful experience and again, the food was exceptional. Everything was cooked perfectly! I just cannot recommend this place enough and truly cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
First time visit today and we are glad to have tried this gem. The service was excellent, the drinks were refreshing (The Honey Bee ), and the food delicious, visually appealing, too. We thoroughly enjoyed the Miso Tomato and Basil soup, Tuna Aquachile, Heritage Duroc Pork Chop, and Cacio e Pepe. The restaurant is a modest size with a small seating area outside and inside, along with a bar. The decor is attractive. We did not have a reservation, but were able to sit at the bar and enjoy the above mentioned without issue. Great work everyone!

Yelp
What a gem....only complaint is the menu is smaller than I would like and people in my party had a hard time finding items to pick. Especially when they wanted to order a flank steak well done and the chef refused. Plus no specials; just saying....Cocktails good, bread and butter tasty..Wine ...Diamonds in Space good as well.... Crab appetizer I really enjoyed, asparagus could have been cut down a bit....just my opinion. Beet salad with cheese was good; entrees tile fish tasty, pasta...so-so, fried cat fish, not sure what our guest thought....dessert was tasty with heat ; cookies and cream. Definitely place we been to many times and will continue to support .

Yelp
Reading the menu I thought "there's a lot going on here" but once your plate arrives you realize that it all blends together perfectly. I'm not a big scallop person, but my mom got them for us to "split" and I ate all of it - phenomenal. You can tell they put so much thought & time into the food / menu.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for the 2nd time in early September. This place is amazing!! It's very small and tucked into a strip mall on Coastal Highway. The staff is on point- they go above and beyond. The tables are a bit tight but it's not too bothersome. I don't think I have enough superlatives to describe the food! The first visit I had scallops which were layered with corn and oyster mushrooms. Every bite is a new surprise. My second visit I got the flank steak which was the best restaurant meal I've had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked and layered with potatoes and mushrooms. There were two sauces that were to die for not to mention the chimichurri on top ! They also have Parker house rolls made in house that were so good I really feel like you can't go wrong here . I only wish I lived a lot closer!

Brenda N.

Yelp
If you love wonderful food prepared with the freshest ingredients and understand the exciting complexity of layering flavors in creative ways, One Coastal is not to be missed! The presentation is also beautifully done yet in a relaxed way. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to explain in detail each dish we were considering. There is no other restaurant on the Delmarva Peninsula that comes close to this kind of elevated food! If I could give them more STARS, I would! We will be returning to this Restaurant as soon as we can get a reservation! I understand why it's difficult to get a reservation now! Brenda and Mickey Nocera

Yelp
Came here on Sunday evening and was able to sit outside immediately and park in the lot right next door. This restaurant was so cute and had a unique but delicious sounding menu, it was hard to pick what to order! We got the Hello Summer and Sazarac cocktails which were delicious to start as well as the beef tartare appetizer. Then for dinner we got the Cacio Pepe, the spiced rubbed ocean city tuna entree, and New Jersey boat day scallops and all were so so good! The sizes of the entrees were large without being too much. We also go a dessert in a box to go though because we were too full to eat it right away at the table. Service was fast and thoroughly informed us on what was gluten free for one person at our table who is sensitive to gluten. Overall loved the experience here and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Hands down my favorite restaurant. Every time is better than the last. Always the best food I've ever had. The drinks are amazing too. Worth every penny and the wait for a reservation! And get the dessert!!

Yelp
Small restaurant with creative fresh food and a friendly staff. Both the steak and the catfish were excellent. The key lime pie was amazing. Definitely will be going back.

Amazing food, fabulous service, and great drinks a great place for a special occasion or any occasion it was that great

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal meal at One Coastal. The menu reads beautifully and delivers in taste even better. Farm to table uses seasonal ingredients to fit and flare around perfectly cooked proteins. I actually went to post this back in early spring when my drink included "toasted parking lot rosemary"-because yes they grow herbs on their parking lot. We went back last week and had an amazing heirloom tomato gazpacho, excellent salad using local peaches, a succulent flank steak with amazing sauces, a cacio e Pepe that was better than Italy's l, their signature Berkshire Porkchop and a cornmeal crusted catfish with beautiful accompaniment Desserts were equally uniques and well balanced The menu is fairly small so if you have a picky eater maybe leave them home.

Yelp
First rate. Top of the food chain. One Coastal is outstanding in every way. My wife brought me to this fine establishment for my birthday. Lucky us. Decor is simple but nice. The effort goes into the food. Chef Matt Kern deserves every accolade that he has received so far and I am sure there are more to come. Everything comes from local farms and you can read about each one of them on a board at the back of the bar. Begin with the Tuna Crudo as appetizer, and you will be "hooked". Delicate, melt in your mouth tuna, embedded in herbs, crunchy chickpeas, and some oils will leave you wanting more. From there, my wife chose the Seven Hills Flank Steak. How does he make flank steak so tender? Ask him. It's from top quality beef. I chose the Heritage Duroc Pork Chop. I know what you may be thinking, "you paid how much for a pork chop"? It doesn't matter. It will transform your thinking on what a pork chop can be. Dessert was Apple Butter pie. It comes to the table and looked to me like a piece of almost pumpkin pie. It is absolutely nothing like that. Just decadence in the form of food. Top it all off with a smoked Negroni and an amaro aperitif and it is a meal fit for a King. Service was impeccable and no one was trying to rush you out of the door. Chef Kern was so kind as to spend quite a good amount of time speaking with us and it was delightful. Big things to come from this young chef and we can't wait.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely five-star all the way. My boyfriend and I came down here for my birthday/our anniversary a couple of weeks ago and the entire experience was nothing short of spectacular (and that's saying a lot b/c my BF is a chef!). Chef Matt Kern and his staff are completely top-notch. The quality of the food, the presentation, the environment, the service--it's the way hospitality should be done. If you live in coastal Delaware and you haven't been here, please go; please become a regular there on my behalf because I live three hours away. If you want a meal cooked by people who care a whole ton about food and drink, please go. The James Beard Foundation doesn't hand out nominations like candy--go see why this chef is decorated, and his staff is so stellar and skilled.

Yelp
The service was friendly and helpful. The heirloom tomato gazpacho was flavorful and I could taste every ingredient. The Ryanhattan was the best Manhattan i have ever had. It was a bit sweeter than most which made it fantastic. The tuna with zucchini encrusted with Virginia peanuts was good but not great. The chocolate donut dessert was delicious. I will definitely go back again.

Yelp
My #1 place for tuna, ambiance, and amazing service. Each meal is better than the last. Everything is my favorite.

Yelp
Incredible! My friends and I wanted to check this spot out while we were in town for a conference. Absolutely amazing food, drinks, with an even better dining experience. All of our food was perfectly cooked and flavored very well. We enjoyed the drinks and the staff were incredible! The Chef checked in on us and chatted a bit about the founding of the restaurant. Very kind and humble person. The bartender was great too -- very personable and funny! The server also did a great job. Nice, intimate ambience. I have every intention of returning, lovely dinner!

Yelp
Came in for girls night and everyone was wowed. Started at the bar with an everyone ordering different specialty cocktails; all enjoyed. Once we sat at our table we were greeted with one of the most laid back top notch servers, I apologize I don't remember a name as it's been a few months. Started dinner with the house made dinner rolls (so good!) we shared a fews apps and ordered almost all different entrees. Everyone shared bites of their meals leaving nobody disappointed. Will returns and recommend to others.

Yelp
Very unassuming from the outside but gorgeous inside. We had an amazing birthday dinner with friends. I'll admit I had to look up several ingredients which was a bit intimidating but one of the best meals we had at the beach. The beet salad and the peach salad are must haves! The Shishito peppers were amazing and the crab Augachile was delicious. We all ended up sharing everything because everyone insisted it was a must try. Presentation and service even better! If planning a trip be sure to make reservations early!

Diane M.

Yelp
Food is fabulous as is the service. Place is very small so call ahead for reservations

Yelp
The best restaurant in the area in my opinion. Made the short drive up here from Ocean City. The food is yummy. The inside is cute. The drinks were pretty good. Delicious dinner rolls and scallops. Interesting flavor combinations. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
So the food is a bit on the expensive side. BUT WORTH EVERY CENT. Went 2 times, both did not disappoint. Also a bit hard to get a table so plan in advance! Great flavor combinations.

Yelp
One Costal was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was such a cozy, welcoming one. The restaurant uses all local farms and resources, everything tasted so fresh. My fiancé and I did not make a reservation but there was space at the bar, we sat there and enjoyed watching the mixologist create such beautiful signature drinks. The staff was so friendly. We ordered the duck breast and pan seared Mahi Mahi. We ate every single bite. We will definitely come back again with reservations!

Yelp
Food at this place is amazing! Had the beef tartare appetizer, homemade pasta and the pork chop entree- all were perfection. Large portions and perfectly done. Restaurant is small and always busy, but we were lucky enough to snag a few seats at the bar without reservations. Def recommend! Nice cocktail menu as well. Service was top notch

Yelp
First I gotta say this is the best restaurant I have EVER been too. The staff was amazing, the food was incredible, inside the restaurant the decor was consistent and visually appealing. The ambiance was welcoming and very comfortable. Our waiter, Ryan, was very friendly and attentive, got the job done in a very fast manner and with some humor! I was honored to meet the chef and thank them for the awesome dishes. As well as his wife, who welcomed us to the restaurant. They are both incredible individuals and I'm happy for them for what they have achieved. The rest of staff were great! Keeping an eye on anything they can do, taking the finished plates, serving the dishes, cleaning the table and preparing it. I had the Cacio e Pepe, it was delicious, I'm a pasta person and this is one of the best pastas I've had, it was creamy and the cheese complemented the dish very nicely! The toasted black pepper enhanced the flavor. I tasted my brothers and dad's dishes as well, the pork chops were cooked to perfection, the baked sea island red peas and toasted vidalias sweet potato puree all worked together to create a flavor words can't describe. The catfish was an excellent dish that was delightful and fresh, the tomato miso gravy went great with the rest of the dish. I tasted the strawberry pop tart and it was extremely delicious. My brother when he was little loved pop tarts so this was perfect for him! If you're looking for a restaurant that has delicious food that will leave your tastebuds speechless, staff who make you leave feeling heard and respected. I 1000% recommend One Coastal. It will be an experience of a lifetime!

Yelp
Great ambiance! Food was so good and we all shared around the table. On the pricier side, but worth it!!

Yelp
The service here was great but the food leaves a little to be desired. Loved the ambiance and family feel but it didn't blow me away. Probably will not come back.

Yelp
One Coastal is a great foodie spot - a small, fresh menu that changes daily based on local farms & ingredients. We went with a group of four, and started with some cocktails. I got the honey bee, a sweet gin drink that I really enjoyed. My husband got their take on a Negroni (with mezcal) and it was also really tasty. We shared a few appetizers, the greens & strawberry salad and the beef tartare. The star of the salad was the fresh ricotta, so rich with a nice creamy texture. The tartare was one of the best I've ever had, and it's one of my favorite things to try at restaurants! For our mains, we got scallops, the pork chop, and the tuna. Everything was delicious - the scallops had a sweet corn purée and added texture with mushrooms and shishito peppers (which I love). The tuna was perfectly seared and came with an amazing medley of fresh veggies and tangy sauces. We all agreed that the pork chop was incredible - a huge portion, perfectly cooked and the sweet potato purée was a hit. The wine list was also very reasonable. We didn't get the cacio e pepe but we saw several people order it and it looked soooo good. The only thing we felt was slightly lacking was the ambiance & service level - this is certainly fine dining level food, the service was a bit less refined and more relaxed than we expected. We will definitely be back to try more of this amazing food! We were stuffed at the end of the meal, but the dessert menu also looked wonderful.

Thomas C.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've ever had. The beet salad and squash soup were incredible. Definitely check this place out if you have the chance.

Brenda S.

Yelp
My husband and I came here because we read that Chef Matt Kern had received a James Beard nomination. We dine out frequently in our local city of Philadelphia so our expectations were high, but Chef managed to exceed our expectations with his amazing food and warm hospitality that put this experience among our very favorites. We started with a cocktail at the bar where bartender Ryan demonstrated his passion for creating and perfecting craft cocktails. Our recommendation - be sure to try his barrel aged Manhattan. Upon learning why we came, Ryan brought Chef Matt over to meet us and for the remainder of our visit, everyone, including Chef, was attentive to us as we savored each of his delicious creations which featured ingredients from local farms and fishermen. A whimsical take on Chicken and Biscuits featured perfectly fluffy biscuits alongside a decadent chicken liver pate, accented with a lovely fruit butter. A delightful preparation of Hen of the Woods mushroom brought it fried to crisp perfection and dressed with a well balanced Korean BBQ sauce. Our first entree, Corn Fried Catfish, was an example of how a well designed preparation can surprise one by combining moist & succulent catfish with a crust reminiscent of sweet, freshly shucked local corn in flavor, but crunchy in texture. Our second entree was local Rockfish with a deliciously crispy skin over a bed of local vegetables. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Don't miss the opportunity to sample local ingredients brought to life in the caring, capable and creative hands of Chef Matt - this guy is brilliant!

Brian F.

Yelp
Atmosphere was perfect for the evening. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you so much to all of the staff for making it a brilliant evening!

Yelp

Yelp
We stopped in for a night cap ended up having some dinner rolls with mushroom soup plus a wonderful dessert that helped to cap off our visit. The service always follows the quality of food that Chef Kern creates. Everyone always helping out each other and making sure each patron has the highest quality experience. If you don't have a reservation just come to the bar and get one of there quality cocktails and enjoy the full restaurant menu as well.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner while on vacation. Heard about it from a friend who owns a condo locally. We sat at the bar because we arrived early and just decided to eat at it. The ambiance is definitely beach seafood vibe, but slightly more upscale. The service was friendly and attentive. The drinks were great. And the food was phenomenal. I got the catfish and it was amazing. My wife got the pork chop and it was one of the better pork chops we've had. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back.

Yelp
Located in a strip mall. Farm to table ingredients - supporting local Delaware local agriculture and fishing the flavors are clean and super fresh. The menu Is created daily and had a variety of vegetarian, pescatarian and omnivore dishes . Home made pastas!?The cocktail menu features craft liqueurs and fresh herb and home made mixers. I ordered the beef tip entree with fingerling potatoes and was blown away on the delicious fresh quality beef cooked perfectly and fingerling potatoes seasoned with fresh herbs. We also ordered fresh rolls with honey butter that were delicious. Too full for desert but took a peek at the menu and fabulous choices. Service was great- reserved through OpenTable - seated right away. We were asked about the special occasion by the host and mentioned it was my birthday and she said "Happy Birthday"Our server was good- checked on us and our food and drinks came without delay. Given the stellar ingredients, cooking technique and presentation and higher $ cost/ thinking Vetri, Garcias , Stephen Stars and other top chef restaurants-there are a couple of things I expected 1) Decor-,to be more modern and unique with a theme- maybe color? 2)I also felt a little crammed. The tables were bit close to each other you had to be careful that you did not bump your chair into people next to you. 3) server was efficient but expected some interest, personality and engagement in my party after all-it was my birthday dinner! Vibe was just average - I really did not want to hang out and and chat with my party'- nothing special- but the foods was awesome hence I'm giving 4 stars. I get it's about the food. I will definitely be back to try more of the awesome food.

Yelp
I was trying to find a restaurant my husband and I would both like, cause he doesn't really like many restaurants in O.C. MD. I saw this place on yelp for a couple of years now and wanted to go. I didn't realize you had to make a reservation at this place and a lot of days were already filled up, but I managed to snag a reservation on our first night down there on Saturday night. It's a small restaurant so I could see why you needed a reservation. Our waitress was pretty friendly and attentive. There was some tuna dish I thought my husband would get but it had tomato on it and he's allergic. I thought he would be able to just get the tomato on the side and I could eat it, but they said it was all mixed together with the corn and other stuff so they couldn't separate it. So he ended up getting the pork chops, which was pretty good. I really liked the sweet potato purée it came with. We also got scallops as our appetizer. They were a nice size and cooked perfectly but I would have preferred brown butter on it instead of it blackened. I got the crab cake dinner. The crab cake was very good- nice sized chunks, little filler, good flavor. One of the best crab cakes I've had down OC MD. I would have preferred if it came with another vegetable instead of green beans, the green beans were ok but a little boring. I wasn't that excited about the tomato gravy with it either, but it was actually pretty good and I told my husband I want him to make tomato soup that tasted like that. It tasted very fresh and had the right balance, not too bitter but not too sweet. The grits it came with were very creamy and good too. We were pretty full and weren't going to get dessert but we caved and got some chocolate cake type of dessert, I forget the name of it. It was a nice finish to the meal. We enjoyed our meal and are definitely gonna add this restaurant in our rotation and come back some other time.

Yelp
Run, don't walk to One Coastal! Menu is thoughtfully planned and exceeds expectations . Food is exceptional. Service is friendly and professional ! Tuna with watermelon tartare (and so much more including peanuts) was our starter and was off the charts! Got their fresh daily bread rolls too. De-lish and warm with their butter. Main course was a crusted catfish with rice and again, blown away! Got a grapefruit mock-tail and my great friend got a old fashioned which Hesiod was fantastic . Make a reservation too. Just amazing!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience in good, service, and environment from start to finish! Rae our server was delightful! We had the tuna, catfish, beet salad, and cucumber gazpacho. The fragrance and taste of it all was aesthetically pleasing! We will be back!

Yelp
Was excited to try this place as it was ranked #1 on yelp in the area. Right off the start I was disappointed as the menu on the website did not match the menu they had in person. Was really looking forward to one of the dishes that was not being offered however I managed. My sister and I got two dishes (the Spanish mackerel and the monkfish) and shared. Both were fishes that I had never had before (and probably would say aren't my favorite) but were tasty. The sides they came with (tomato salad and we subbed the mashed potatoes for risotto) were equally delicious. There is no question that the chefs here are talented. Portion size is standard but a bit pricey in my option... $35 for the mackerel and $28 for the monkfish. Between that and the $10+ cocktails be prepared to rank a steep bill up quickly. Current covid situation: there is hand sanitizer at the door but other than that (and of course the fact that the staff has masks on) you would never know corona is a thing. Indoor dining, menus, and checks as usual. My group opted to sit outside as we felt more comfortable with the situation. That said, the "patio" they advertised entails 3 tables in the corner of their walkway/parking lot. Not sure if these were there prior to covid or if it was a last resort but just be prepared to be sitting next to ongoing traffic on the coastal highway.

Yelp
Located in a little strip mall that's easy to miss. Excellent food & service. Cocktails were great! Highly recommend!

Yelp
From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted from the host. I am celiac and they had already prepared a menu marked with all Gluten Free items available waiting for me. I have never been to a restaurant before where I've felt so welcomed and heard with my dietary restrictions. Highly recommend. Service was amazing, our meal was top tier excellent and ambiance was wonderful. This will be a regular spot for us!

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem! Tucked away, small and cozy, but super cute! Bar and table options. The menu is always fresh and creative! There is not one thing on the menu I didn't want to try. The drink menu is equally impressive. And the desserts!!! Knowledgeable staff that is fun and helpful. Our bartender really went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. This place is always a 10/10.

Virginia G.

Yelp
Just had dinner there and recommend it highly. Again, a limited menu but what is offered is wonderful. Their beet salad can be shared it is so big and delicious. Their duck breast was superb. Scallops are off the menu but when I've had them, they are worth the price - big and plump! The beef dish was ordered by my husband who felt it was the best beef that he's had in years. Desserts could use help. Do not understand why restaurants here do not offer a great selection of sorbets. Or, a really plain cake. Not having espresso is a real loss and so many of the restaurants here don't offer it. Still, the food here is beyond amazing. Wine selection and drink mixes are pretty diverse and seem enjoyable. Definitely a place to return to for great food and service
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great dinner with quality food this is your spot. All ingredients are farm fresh and chosen to really make each dish shine. The service was great, the dishes were explained and suggestions were given. The ambiance is lovely with a dim lighting for a great cozy date night or a smaller group setting. This is not a huge place so reservations are a must, especially in the summer months. Not pictured was the mushroom soup and it was absolutely divine!! One Coastal is a must try!

Yelp
So glad we tried this little spot on Rt 1 Coastal Hwy. Sat at the bar on a random Tuesday night between Xmas and NYE, love the offseason in Fenwick. Bartender was super friendly and let us sample and observe his drink making skills. Wife loved her dirty martini and I started with a boulevardier. The cheese board was amazing, three kinds of cheese, pickles, jam, almond butter and candied walnuts. I got the pork chop at the suggestion of the bartender and my wife went for the flank steak. Both dishes well executed with high quality ingredients, beautifully presented with amazing flavors. Several of our local contacts highly recommended this spot and so glad we decided to give it a try. Staff are super friendly and have an amazing venue to enjoy some local fare that is prepared by masters of their craft. Well Done!!!

Yelp
Excellent food and really nice atmosphere. Our server (the owners daughter) was exceptional and very attentive. Looking forward to coming again

Yelp
This place never disappoints! The food and service is top notch. It's definitely rivals big city restaurants with high end quality. I got the catfish dish and it was so good! My husband had the short ribs. The flavors were nothing we had ever had before. We sat at the bar which normally has seats available. If you like table service, I recommend making a reservation.

Yelp
if you're in Sussex County or Ocean City, Maryland, this place is a must try. Matt is one of the top five chefs in Delaware easily and sources all of his food from the best farms he can find. All the servers are very knowledgeable about the food and where it comes from. The bartenders are creative and put a lot of passion into their drinks. I highly recommend you try the cacio Pepe and the duck.

Yelp
Well it's the end of summer and me and the missus hadn't gotten any beach time in. So we picked a sweet house to rent in Fenwick Island, Delaware invited some family and away we went. In our search for a new dining experience we came across One Coastal. The reviews were phenomenal and the menu made the dishes sound delicious. We scored a reservation for an inside seating Saturday at nine. We were given the option of an earlier seating, but it was outside. We arrived at the venue and had no problem finding a parking spot in the lot. While walking up to the restaurant we observed numerous patrons enjoying the outdoor dining area. We walked inside and were greeted by the staff. We were seated a few minutes later. Our server Chloe welcomed us and took our drink orders. My wife loved her extra dirty martini. I was less impressed with my vodka based cocktail which I felt lacked flavor. Chloe informed us about the specials for the evening and took our order. We ordered Cornbread for the table and the SPRING CHESAPEAKE CRAB REMOULADE. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere while waiting for our starters and I couldn't help myself from looking at the dishes coming out of the kitchen and wondering what they were. Chloe returned with our appetizers and we blessed the table and got to it. The little cornbread muffins were delicious. Light and fluffy served alongside a sweet fruit flavored butter. The crab remoulade was a hit with everyone at the table! The lump crabmeat was yummy and the puffed Carolina gold rice folded in was a pleasant new experience for us along with the other flavors. For my main course I chose the Heritage Duroc Pork Chop and wife picked the Corn Fried Chesapeake Blue Catfish. My pork chop was special! It looked amazing when it arrives at the table. I took my first bite and I quickly cut a piece for everyone at the table. I needed them to taste how tender and tasty it was. Meanwhile the missus is raving over her catfish. She provided me with a sample and we were in agreement. My sides of peppers, okra, purple Viking potatoes, onion and ginger mojo Boudelaise completed the dish. I cleaned that plate and there was nothing left to take home. My brother and sister also gave a favorable review of their Seven Hills dry aged cast iron flank steak. Thank you One Coastal for an awesome dining experience.
