One Day Bar

Absolutely love this place! One Day has stellar cocktails, incredible ambiance, and exceptional staff. Whether you want an afternoon coffee, a pre-dinner cocktail, or a late night party, One Day has it all. I’m always impressed with their seasonal menus, fresh house-made ingredients, and knowledgable bartenders. The Kentucky Blues is by far my favorite drink. The patio is perfect for a group hangout, comfortable seating alongside fire pits. Give One Day a try, you’re sure to love it!

"Melissa Joukema" recently posted a ridiculously poor rating on One Day Bar that wrongly called out a female bartender without any reference as to why she felt that way (and without any productive feedback that could help the staff improve), and I could not disagree more with her assessment. Every time I have been to One Day over the past few years that it has been open, I have always had an outstanding experience both with the quality of cocktails as well as the service from the bartending staff. If you are looking for a perfect place to unwind, celebrate, or just enjoy a night out in Downtown Waco, One Day has ALWAYS come through for me! This place has an incredible atmosphere, a killer curated drink menu that rivals bespoke bars in Austin, and staff that makes you feel like you belong from the moment you walk in. The bartenders are true artists, and you can tell they love what they do! Shoutout to the bartending staff... they are friendly, professional, and always on point. I thoroughly enjoy One Day when I am in Waco visiting friends and family, and I continually recommend this establishment! Already looking forward to my next visit. Easily one of the best bars in town, if not the best!!

I came in today to celebrate my birthday with a friend then take an inebriated walk home. I can’t remember the spelling but I got the “fairy fire” a drink that is supposed to be I believe strawberry basil and ginger beer with a dash of cayenne pepper. Well there was so much cayenne it drowned out everything else. Left a thick ring around the top and a moderately thick layer of sediment on the bottom. I muscled through less than half the drink when I examined the drink and thought the ratios had to be off. I went up to the bar and said “hey man I know I’m gonna be super critical here but I think that there’s just too much cayenne in this drink like you already get a little bit of spice from the ginger beer and it’s just drowning out everything else.” Then the long haired guy working said “I’m going to take that criticism and do absolutely nothing different.” With that attitude you see in videos online of stereotypical teenagers and Immediately walked away. I wasn’t even expecting him to remake the drink just to apologize and ask if he could help so I could order my next drink. But that and that my friends drink was also poorly mixed made me leave. Yeah I dumped the rest of the drink out on the spill mat but then he ran out after and tried to yell at me for it… also if the drink was made right there wouldn’t be any to poor out. 🤷‍♂️

Great little mixology bar in Waco. The staff was cool and know how to make some damn good drinks. This place is a vibe to say the least and provides a cozy intimate feeling. My friends and I had a nice time here and will be back again!

Sub par service, I got 1 Lalo and 1 Espresso Martini, sub lalo instead of whiskey. How in the hell is my tab 41 dollars and the bartenders can’t explain it to me? Straight greedy by the bar owner. Love how it says OR egg white 8 dollars. Go to any bar but this one.

Great service! The drinks were so good and the atmosphere was so cozy. Great music selection! We grabbed mozzarella sticks from the burger truck right next door. I highly recommend this place! What a vibe. You guys nailed customer experience. 🔥

Beautiful building and design with bar seating, table seating, casual sofa seating, and outdoor seating. Good selection of beers on draft and in cans. Where they really shine is their cocktails. So many selections to choose from. Another plus is the food truck out back. They delivered my food right to my table. Really loved the location.

Terrible! Bar claims to close at midnight so we stopped in at 10 for a last drink before heading home and they told us they were closing and already had last call while there were clearly other patrons still in the bar. So disappointed!!

Such a cute little cocktail bar! We had the pink mojito and the frozen horchata. Let me tell you that frozen horchata was SO. GOOD. Will absolutely be back for more!

Good drinks, good service, great place to meet friends and grab a drink indoors and outdoor

Got shut down on third drink said it was policy had been there 2 hours. I let them know I was staying next door at hotel 1928 and they replied they still couldn't sell me another drink. I should have have stayed at hotel rooftop bar. Any ways I sat there from 9pm till 11pm, while I seen others get served more than 3 drinks never questioned once or got shut down. I would stay away they will only sell you three drinks charge and charge you $100. Maybe if I was local I wouldn't get turned down.

Great craft cocktails. Bartender personalities are hit or miss and atmosphere is super laid back so just depends on what you're looking for.

One Day is a really cute place that offers an upscale cocktail bar vibe that Waco didn't really have before. The neon signs, brick walls, and interesting decor make this a unique place to visit, and honestly a great place to grab an Instagram picture. The bartenders are knowledgeable and have great recommendations. They offer cocktails, beer and wine, and coffee and tea. I haven't had the coffee here so I can only comment on the bar. The drinks are pretty pricy for Waco (~$10), so going here for me is an experience thing. I have tried the Faerie Fire, which the bartender told me tasted like a strawberry moscow mule, and he was right! What's interesting about it is that there is cayenne in it, so some spice hits the back of your throat. I have also had their Tom Collins and enjoyed it. It's a pleasant, refreshing drink. I tried the Jungle Bird and the Pink Flamingo and they weren't really my thing, but my friends have enjoyed them. I think the key to going here is knowing what you like. The best part about One Day is all of the outdoor seating. Especially during covid, when barhopping is pretty much out of the question, this place has been a refuge for drinks with friends. They have six picnic tables out front, where the Yaki food truck is typically stationed (SO GOOD, must try!), and they also have several two-top tables in a little "alley" past the picnic tables between two buildings. Instagram tip: there's a neon sign out there if you wanna grab a pic! It's also nice because the experience hasn't changed because of covid like it has at other bars. I think everyone can find something they like at One Day. Try it out!

Cool enough place for Waco, but the $9.20 Non Alcoholic beer (Athletic) was a big turn off. Definitely have paid high prices for drinks, but this seemed absurd.

Simply put, One Day is the best cocktail bar in Waco. I moved to Waco in April '21 after 4 years in LA + Dallas, working in alcohol for WINC + Bar & Garden, and acting as a sommelier for many supper clubs / industry events. One Day has the best curated, tighest selection of high quality spirits, as well as the most inventive, inspired in-house cocktail menu in the city. There are also well-conceived events with high quality restaurant / culinary partners. Just go to One Day. Just go.

Super chill. Very clean. Friendly staff. We went late on a Monday night and were served right away. It's a cocktail bar so expect to pay for craft cocktails. I got the peach crease and my hubby got the faerie fire. Both were excellent. We sat outside where it was nice and quiet. There were some giggly young ladies inside and we were looking for quiet so it was nice to have that option.

My dad and I were visiting Waco and were looking for a chill place to get drinks and this bar was exactly that! Had a nicely decorated interior, friendly staff, and great drinks.

I am so glad this bar is able to operate during COVID-19. It is truly an amazing gem located in the heart of wonderful Waco. From the ambiance of the bar to the lovely patio. The staff is super nice and welcoming. The owner, Kyler, is so kind and wonderful. Ask for Sophie, she makes the best drinks!! The inside of the bar is super cool- unlike anything you'll find in sunny Central Texas. It is an experience for sure!

This is an amazing cocktail and coffee bar with a really cool atmosphere and a great backdrops for photos. My friends and I came to an art show here over the summer and it was really really cool, food truck outside Yaki was really really good too!

Love the vibe of the place. Beautiful atmosphere. The staff were wonderful. My iced vanilla latte was absolutely terrible though. I threw it away. It tasted like a sugar alternative mixed with water. It was sickly sweet with no coffee taste.

We sneak away, leaving our kids at home every other week or so and drop by this place for a drink or two. No one blinks at the two old people that are clearly not the normal 20 something crowd. The drinks are creative and always beautiful.

A hidden gem! So glad we found this cool, unique bar. Delicious, fresh ingredients in every cocktail. They even could make many of their drinks into yummy mock tails, the Mai Tai mock tail was sooo good and refreshing for this pregnant mama!

Great atmosphere, approachable team & quality drinks. Really enjoyed the Sazeracs & whiskey selection.
